Xevius simply rolled his eyes at the shout of Celestia.  She always pretended to be calm, but she really was angered easily.  Xevius got back into the tunnel just as the cavern collasped.  He looked at the jewel he obtained, and wondered what it could possibly be.  It felt warm in his hand.  Amazing!  It felt about the same as rays of sun.  Xevius decided it probably wouldn't burn him, since dragon scales reflected fire and intense light and that kind of thing anyway, he just shouldn't let it touch his belly, or let it get near for that matter.  He took it into his center of the maze, and dug a small hole in the wall for it, putting it inside.  Now that he looked closely, it looked more like glass than a jewel.  Huh.  Weird.  Where would green, warm glass come from?  Glass itself was rare enough.

Malvada found it a little difficult to charge her breath ability without burning the entire place down but she managed and the entire time they were flying to the new den because of the underground cavern she was trying to figure out how to capture the energies behind her breath power which is why she hadn't said anything while they were flying but when they landed she spoke and asked "This isn't going to turn into you trying to teach me the life dragon ways or anything is it?" she was still unsure about this female but she trusted her a little more that she did when she first met her anyways, which might have been dangerous on her part.

Celestia shook her head "I don't care about the war... It's pointless, we dragons are at the top of the food chain so the Shadow objective has already been done." She giggled "This is one charasmatic moron's fight. The dragons in these parts just got sucked in. My curse will only be broken when that male falls in genuine love and the female feels the same. He can't sire or take chicks away untill then." She looked at her sleeping chicks, "Besides you have your opinion and I have mine, I respect your views and hope you'll respect mine. I have kin on both sides so I have insight on both sides. My family values knowledge and family bonds." Celestia looked at the sky "That Lightning is just a brute that has a way with words from my understanding. Beating and killing chicks thinking that is normal is wrong and not a good idea. Injuries can actually stunt a chick's physical and intellectual growth..."

Midnight listened to her mother silently. She wasn't INTIRELY sure what she meant but she knew her mother was upset. She raised her head gingerly, careful not to disturb her siblings. "Mommy? Why are you so angry? He is doing what he was tought." she said slowly. She had learned the being silent and listening was useful. She knew the dragon, somehow, had made her mom mad and apparently it was with what he had done. "It's not his fault he wasn't raised right, he simply learned it from others. You souldn't blame him for that, should you?" she said tentatively.

Malvada looked down at the chick with a grin, maybe this was the chick that was prophesied, there certainly was wisdom beyond her years, and she wasn't even a year yet.  Malvada looked over at Celestia "I am highly capable to respect the life dragons view on some things, I even sometimes wish that my fellow shadow dragons would take at least part of them into consideration every once in a while." she said calmly but sounded like she meant it, then she realized what she said and shut her mouth and looked down at the ground, that was embarassing, a shadow dragon wanting to follow some of the life dragon ways... what was going on? has she been spending to much time around them or something to have her thinking distorted?

Neck was back in the water, staring blankly at the cave wall.  Excitement was rare down here.   Lightning was simply muttering to himself angrily.  Of course, it wasn't like there was much excitement in the water on the surface, either.  Neck wished dragons couldn't swim, then he might have a bit more of a purpose.  In his bord state he started to wonder how many tunnels and caverns were under these mountains, and how they formed.  WHat would happen if all the tunnels caved in at once?  Maybe this area would be a plain, and there would be no more mountains or hills.  Yes, the caves did seems more plentiful under the mountains. 

Celestia looked at her chick in surprise and answered "If not for the fact his brother turned out so differently I would have attributed that to his actions." She turned to the other adult female "Both sides of the war need common ground or it will never end. But abusing and killing chicks I will not tolerate. My aunt is not right in the head since her former mate killed his own daughter who I named Skye after. She was weak in terms of brute force but she was both fast and agile enough to make up for it and then some. My mother and aunt tore that male apart, he was supposedly on the life side." Celestia looked up "Then my father got abusive twords my mother and she drove him off." She watched an eagle one of the few creatures that could take a small chick and carry them off, with a warning glare "I can see why you'd consider a few life dragon philosiphies, the only dragon I can think of who can't respect anything concerning the life side's way of thinking is Lightning." Celestia saw her daughter was asleep again and continued speaking "The dominion over all living things bit has already been done, few creatures go after dragons at that only the very sick or young are at risk there. We dragons are the dominant life forms, going further might send us the way the humans went..."

After glaring at midnight, Oak looked up at their mother, who was still talking or something, and grinned.  She wasn't looking this way, and Oak had decided that after a few hours, he had seen enough of this nest.  "Come on." he told Midnight, motioning up with his head, grinning mischeviously.  Then, he scampered across the nest, using his partially developed wings to gain leverage against the sides.  After that, he scampered across the floor, under the feet of the older dragons, who, compared to him, were huge.  He went straight for the entrance of the cave, but tired quickly, stopping a few feet short of it.

Celestia spotted Oak and put him back "The reason you three are in the nest is there are eagles that might try to eat you." Celestia knew she'd have a paw full with Oak. She saw her mother, aunt, uncle, cousin, and little sister passing by she called to her mother "Mom you going rouge hunting?" Her grandmother had brought the going after rouges thing this far south... Celestia got up and told the chicks to stay put in a tone that left no room to question. The rouge inflicted wounds had yet to fully heal. "Before you go care to meet your grandchicks?" Celestia's mother smiled and came over. Celestia's sister was already cooing with her cousin at the nest. The cousin nodded to Malvada then resumed the cooing and nuzzling. Poor little Oak was getting the dragon equivalent of a sloppy relative's smooch from his aunt. Family chaos, her uncle started telling Malvada some embarresing stories about Celestia as a chick, getting practically adopted into the family. That happened to Xevus already...

Malvada was a little nervous about having Celestias family around her, but soon calmed down, it was strange for her, it was like they just accepted her, for all they knew she could have been trying to steal the chicks back, which she wasn't but still, they didn't know her at all but it seemed as though she had known them her entire life, and that they were practically family, her gaze was set on Celestias uncle, but every once in a while flickered over to Celestia as she was listening to his stories about her being a chick.  

Midnight had enough. She was sick of these dragons cooing and awwing over her. she was a dragon! She backed up, hissing, ramming into skye, and became a withering heap. That brought more cooing.

Midnight stood on her hind legs, sparks flew EVERYwhere over the nest. Her tail lashed angerly. "LEAVE ME ALONE!" she mini-roared and lashed out, catching her cousin on the nose and leaveing a small cut. She glared at the other dragons around her daring them to come closer. "I said leave me alone." her tone was dark and threatening, sending chills down alll the other dragon's spines.

Celestia padded over to her daughter "I think it's time for you two to stop the cooing Sister Cousin." The pair looked a little huffy despite the chilling voice. She turned to her daughter "Those two are your aunt and second cousin who will no doubt try to spoil you Oak and Skye rotten. Just try to humour them they can't help themselves sometimes." Malvada was listening to Celestia's uncle telling her about the skunk incident. Celestia chuckled she stank for a week after that run in with that skunk. Celestia's aunt came over and gaped at Skye then tears fell down her snout, Skye was almost identical to the dragon she was named after. The aunt said "She looks like my daughter Skye..." Celestia nodded "I named Skye after my cousin." "A fitting name..." Aunt looked at Midnight and nodded in an approval. "I think you are the one little Midnight. Grow up good and healthy make us all proud." Aunt was a shadow dragon and knew  Midnight was in good hands. "Destiny surrounds you little one, but your family will be here if you need us..." Aunt left to go chat with her daughter about the rouge hunting plans and what they'd do.

Oak would have done just what Midnight had done, if he wasn't waiting for something.  When Celestia was speaking to Midnight, the reletives were marveling over Skye's resemblence with someone or another, and his greatuncle was telling stories, Oak crept out of the nest toward the back of the cave.  After that, they were still telling Midnight something about being "The one".  WHat did they mean by that?  Oak's original plan was to go to the back of the cave and go around, but he saw a small tunnel that was large to him, but an adult dragon would never fit into! What luck!  He began to scamper toward it.  ((Celestia's fault for not watching Oak in the last post.))

Midnight saw her brother go. Idiot she thought hopelessly. The other's attention turned away from her. she turned and dashed into the tunnle after Oak befor the could notice. She cought up to him and pounced. "What are you doing? mom will kill us!" she scolded him. The cave suddenly onpened into a large cavern with rock suronding them on all side except the small tunnle. Midninght curiously walked forward looking around a plan was already forming in her head. She could go here every night with oak and skye, to train and learn. here they could talk with out being interupted or disturbd, and could sneak back befor their mom woke up. perfect she thought.

A large mountainous range with scattered lakes, and underground tunnel system, dense forests, and barren mountain tops.

You are allowed a maximum of 5 dragons and 1 other creature, and you MUST keep up with them. The creature must be either mythical or a present day animal with special powers. You may have eggs but you can only have as many as you can control OR give them to other players. Keep it PG-13 please.

You are a western dragon in a time of war. The life dragons and shadow dragons fight for the earth. The shadow dragons wish to rule the earth by power and fear, while the Life dragons wish to live in harmony with earth's creatures.

Whitefire and Coal lead the Life dragons. Lightning leads the Shadow dragons. Coal and Lightning are archenemys.

Now, a new hope has sprung up. Chaos is now the problem, and has been turning everyone against each other. Three were born, the embodyments of yin, yang, and karam are now the only thing that stand between chaos. but chaos has begun to hunt them down, to keep things under his controll
