It was good to see at least some guards weren't idiots. At least he could put two and two together and figure out who the gurney was for. He had dealt with some clueless guards before.

"At least he doesn't have a dangerous gift," he didn't want to think of what havok Alex would wreak if he did. It was gifteds like him who eventually built up a tolerance to the sedatives they used. If he did then what would they use? Injuries like Lucius' could usually recover on their own, he doubted he'd need medical attention. It was best to ask though, just in case. "Do you need me to get some of the medical staff?"

Lucius laughed at Verner's question. There was no need for him to have medical attention, hundreds of people every day had the same injury with no issue.

"No, I am fine. I'll just stay here and do my paperwork." He said. Lucius looked over at Alex. He was on his belly but his head was turned so he wasn't face planted into the gurney. It was strange how different a person looked when they were asleep. Lucius always saw Alex with an negative expression, but now he was calm and his face was soft.

"Yeah." He agreed. "Luckily he can only heal, not damage, much."

Verner watched the guard wheel Alex out, thinking it was impossible for the gifted to look calm. He proved him wrong though. The position the gifted was in looked rather uncomfortable though, luckily he was passed out. His neck seemed to be in an awkward position and would probably hurt if he were awake. "I wouldn't want to deal with him." Alex was a menace.

There was little reason for him to be here now. Lucius had paperwork to do and so did he. He didn't want to distact a fellow scientist from their work. "I'll leave you with your paperwork, it was a pleasure working with you." He would probably work with him again in the near future, as they had just found out Duncan and Alex were brothers.

Kadvar noticed Alex was wheeled back in a gurney again. "This is what, the third time this week?" He growled to the guard. He was reffering to the number of times Lucius had brought back his test subjects in gurneys. The guard didn't know anything about that and ignored him. He really didn't want to work with Lucius again, not if he would be brought back in a gurney again. His last test was horrible and he was really starting to hate Lucius. He decided the next time the scientist came for him he wouldn't budge. They couldn't tase him to get him to move without being burned. He would show the cruel scientist.

He could only wait for Alex to wake up, he figured this would take a while.

Lucius smiled and nodded, then turned the chair to face the computer. He usually did this work in his office. But for some reason he just did not feel like moving at the moment. He agreed fully with Verner that Alex was a menace.

He would make him pay for that later. Now that he knew he could use Duncan, there were many different options. He could also plan tests where he needed Alex to do more things if he could use Duncan aginst him.

However that was not what he needed to do at the moment. He had to fill out these papers.

Almost an hour past before Alex started to wake up. He groaned and turn over on his side, causing his thin sheet to slowly fall on to the floor. He took a few more mintues before he sat up. He touched his head, there was a headache forming there. He was a little confused for a moment before he remembered what had happened in the testing room and he cursed softly.

He looked over at Kadvar's cell. Hopefully he hadn't been taken off to a test in the time it took for him to wake up. Luckily he hadn't been.

"How long has it been?" He asked.

Kadvar tried to see the clock from where he was standing but couldn't. He had to move as close to the cells bars as possible to see the clock. This was why he always asked Alex to look at the clock for him. "Since you were passed out? An hour at least," he had somewhat kept track of the time.

"He just loves bringing people back in gurney's doesn't he?" He assumed Alex would know he was reffering to Lucius. He was growing really tired with how Lucius was treating them.

He didn't feel he needed to ask how testing went. If Alex was brought back in a gurney he doubted it had gone too well.

"Seems like it." Alex said. He did not get off of the bed, he still felt tired and dizzy. He thought for sure that if he stood he would get those black dots in his vision and he would have to sit back down.

'But I got back at him though. He got a kick straight to the balls." He said, grinning widely. Alex would be going back to that memory quite a lot for a while. Whenever he was having a bad day or something. Most of his days were bad though. Maybe the thought would help keep away the memory that they now know about Duncan.

It was clear Alex hadn't completely recovered from the sedative yet, but at least he was awake.

Kadvar was more than happy to hear that the scientist was injured in such an embarresing way. He tried to imagine what the scientist's expression would have looked like. He amused himself with that thought for a short while. He wished he could of been there to see his pained expression, "Serves him right." There ought to be a rule or something against sedating a gifted too often, "It seems like the lab's answer to everything is drugs."

Kadvar sat on his cell floor which was dry now. A janitor had come and taken care of all the water while Alex was undergoing testing. His bed and his clothes were still damp though.

"It was hillarious." Alex said, laughing. Then he put on a more serious expression.

'If they keep doing it, I'll just devolp a tolerance to it." He said. "They did not even do anything with me, just straped me to chair. They somehow figured out about Duncan, they were hurting him to try to get me to tell them we're brothers." Alex said, looking angry. "This happened right after I told Nori about Duncan. Do you think that she told someone?" He asked. He would never trust Nori competely, but he did feel like she wasn't the kind of person who would tell them.

Kadvar seemed very concerned to hear this, "She had to have told someone." The events happened so close together it couldn't just be a coincidence. Maybe the janitor was trying to seem so clumsy to not seem like a threat or to seem gullible. What if it was an act she put on though, to gain their trust? She probably told on them to try and gain favor with higher ups.

"If she did tell them about Duncan, what else has she told them about?" What if she told them they were a potential escape risk, their rooms would be searched. Alex still had the note underneath his mattress. If the guards found that...

Kadvar turned away from the cameras so his lips couldn't be read, "The note... you have to get rid of it. Eat it, flush it or something. If she told them we might be an escape risk they'll check our rooms." Kadvar seemed very concerned.

Facing away from the camra in his cell, Alex retreaved the note from under the bed's mattris. He did not like the idea of eating the note very much, expecially since it was written with aweful tasting crayon.

Using his nail he scrapped off the crayon and spread out the flakes so there was no noticable pile. He used to eat paper when he was bored all the time when he was little, this would be no differance. The small note was gone in seconds.

"There," He said. "Now I dare you to eat something gross." He said jokingly. However it was very clear he wasn't that discusted by the paper.

Kadvar seemed much calmer once the note was gone. He didn't want to think of what could have happened if the note had been found. They would have been seperated, and he would have probably been punished for writing the note.

"Like what, crayon? I think I'm good." He didn't think Alex was going to eat the note, but at least it was definitely gone now. The labs did tests that were far worse compared to eating paper. Alex didn't seem bothered.

He was still turned away from the camera. Nori was still the best person to take or steal keys from. "We still need Nori to tell us where your brother is. Be careful what you say near her though."

Alex nodded, if they could they should make Nori think they did not think she turned aginst them. Alex would definatly be more careful around her. She seemed so innocent and kind, he did not think she would tell like that. There was still the off chance Nori did not say anything, but not likely.

"Hopefully they won't have Duncan moved if she tells us." He said. Alex felt like he needed to question all of Nori's information now. It could be very possable that she would lie to them.

Alex tried to stand up, but he had a instaint headache. Black dots starting floating in his vision and he decided it was better to sit back down.

If Nori did tell them where Duncan was and he was moved, if they escaped that's the first place guards would be waiting for them. There was also a high probability they would give them false information to mislead them. "That's if she gives us the correct location in the first place."

He watched Alex try to get up and sit back down, "Those drugs will do that to you." He wondered what they used for gifted allergic to such sedatives. Surely they would still use some drug, as the labs seemed fond of those. They couldn't keep drugging them like this or they would just build up a tolerence. "I heard some gifteds get addicted to those drugs." He couldn't see how, as the effects of them felt aweful.

Lab Rats (Gifted Roleplay)
Setting

All the characters are at a lab in a remote island. All the guards and scientists live in buildings around the lab. Most of the lab is under ground. The lab is very guarded and is pretty much impossable to excape from. There are rooms of about five Gifteds all in their own cell, but they are able to see each other and speak to each other.

Plot

In our world, we expect we all have the same kinds of abilities, we can all do the same things, it all just depends on what you practice. However that believe is wrong, there are people born with strange, fantastic and even dangerous powers known as Gifteds. It doesn't matter if the parents are Gifted, the children produced seem to be randomly Gifted or non-Gifted.

Of course normal people fear the Gifteds, they are stronger than them, more dangerous than them and they have no way of knowing who is who. That's why when people learned of them the hunt for Gifteds started almost immediately.

The caught Gifteds were sent away to a place only known as 'The Labs' where they are experimented on to find their weaknesses and their strengths. Their final goal is to find a way to control them and use them for wars.

Please play as the minority group so we don't get overflowed with one type of character.

Please look at other characters and do not make Gifteds with a power someone already has.

All powers must have weaknesses. For example, most Gifteds will loose control of their ability while under stress.

Only one power for each Gifted.

Both guards and scientists carry weapons, but scientists will only use them if a guard isn't around.
