Lanzia could hear what they were saying behind her. "There's no hope for it, the dragons would have burned down every piece of wood and killed every last villager, I doubt there's even a scrap of metal to be saved there. I wouldn't even try to go over there." Lanzia sighed feeling hopeless and upset. There were humans, dwarves, and elves alike that would live in her village, she wouldn't be able to stand the sight of remains everywhere. "If I know how greedy and merciless those dragons are they would steal everything and anything they could get their paws on, I doubt there's even a survivor left. The only things left of the village would probably be just a few scortched pieces of wood and dead bodies now." Lanzia felt upset and hopeless right now, she couldn't bare to think of her village much longer.

'Before my parents where captured by the bad wizard They were good friends with the good magician Merlin, but i think he was captured too by my uncle.....but if we save him and when I'm not heartless anymore, he can rebuild your village because he can go back in time' Eric said while he tryed to smile even though he heartless. Vaan disturbed it by asking:' But if he can, he can still go back in time and Undo what your uncle did, right?' Eric shook his head:' No, he is captured my my uncle THE BAD WIZARD, so he can't cast a spell or something because he's C-A-P-T-U-R-E-D, DO YOU UNDERSTAND!?' Eric asked like Vaan was stupid.

Idisis listened to what they were saying, to him this sounded like a lot of work. "Well this will be 'fun'." Idisis sighed looking at Bandit who was now standing next to Fronder. He saw how upset Lanzia seemed. She still looked upset and hopeless. Idisis sighed focusing his attention to Eric. "If we're going to continue North we'll eventually have to cross a large river, luckily they have boats to help people get across, we'll also have to go through a creepy forest, some more ghost towns, and some villages. It won't be easy getting there, even worse I'm convinced that you all have ran into his monsters before." Idisis looked to the side to see Nightmare who was happily running in circles.

Vaan froze and shook his head fiercely, Eric rolled his eyes and asked, annoyed by the delay: "Vaan, what is it, are you scared again?" Vaan nodded and said, eyes wide of fear 'I'll not pass those ghost towns again, they are so scary......do you remember the last time we went to a ghost town?' Eric nodded without any emotion: Yeah, Fronder got attacked by a lizardmen and was injured.......so?' Vaan saw it was pointless In order to convince Eric it was again to dangerous. He closed his mouth and walked near Fronder. Vaan was bored and started to sing" left foot, right foot, left foot, right foot!!'

Lanzia was beginning to get annoyed with Vaan's singing. "If you keep singing like an idiot you won't have any feet left to sing about." Lanzia pulled her ax out annoyed with Vaan. She stood up staring at him with rage as she held her ax. For a moment Vaan was silent, Nightmare was whining at Lanzia because she looked very angry. Fronder was next to Vaan beginning to get annoyed too, but he didn't say anything to be polite. "Lanzia your not going to cut his feet off." Lanzia looked angry at Fronder, furious at what he just said. "Sais the person who shot me in the heart with an arrow, maybe I should kill you instead." Lanzia didn't move, she just stood there holding her ax tight. "Vaan it's just few ghost towns, we were just unlucky with the first one, I doubt something like that will happen again."

Vaan looked frightened at his feet and then to Lanzia's ax. Vaan's lip trembled, Eric grabbed him by the arm and dragged him forward. Nightmare followed, and kept an eye on Vaan's feet. Carefully he asked Eric" Uh.... Eric, what actually happened to your parents....you didn't told anything about your parents?' Eric frowned, He hated this type of question. 'They were taken prisoner but escaped' There was irritation in his voice, irritation by Vaan's ignorant. Vaan sighed 'luckily, you will be happy and relieved to, right?'  Eric could have kicked Vaan if he didn't not kept his rage back.' Vaan, remember i'm heartless.....i can't feel emotions anymore'

Idisis sighed watching as the group began moving, he fallowed close behind keeping a close eye on Lanzia. It amazed him that Vaan was still alive with Lanzia around. Idisis looked at Nightmare who was now happily walking. "If we're going North the first thing we should be going through is a forest, then a lake, and finally a village where we can rest for the night. Then we can continue moving North. Do you think we should do that Eric?" Idisis sighed fallowing the group waiting for an answer. He could tell Lanzia hated the idea when he said lake. "And how would we get across the lake?" Idisis turned in Lanzia's direction. "There are a crew that run a boat, they take passengers to both sides of the lake free of charge. And so you know the boat is pretty big."

Vaan struggled loose from Eric grip and ran towards the North with a happy face and he yelled at the top of his longs:' YAY, A BOAT, I'LL GO FIRST!!' And he disappeared at the horizon with Nightmare behind him. Eric sighed loudly and relieved "Finally rest, I hope he will never come back......Vaan is the craziest person I ever met in my whole life....that idiot' In the distance he heard Vaan's joyful shouts  and Nightmare who asked a biscuit. 'Sadly, Vaan is like a boomerang, he always comes back .........even how hard you throw it away'  Before him lay a dark forest with giant trees.

Idisis and the rest of the group caught up with Vaan and Nightmare, both of them saw the creepy forest and seemed frightened of it. Idisis sighed beginning to walk into the forest first, the rest of the group fallowed him. They stopped, in the middle of the forest was something that shocked everyone, there were lizard men that were wearing skull helmets, the lizard men also had leather armor and spears, they were guarding younger lizard men creatures. These things looked just like Nightmare. One of the lizard me turned around to see the group. That lizard man walked over to them with his spear. "Who are you and why are you here! This is our village! And why is your young creature not properly suited?" The lizard man looked very confused. "Your all not from this area from what I can tell. If you mean us no harm we'll let you through our village alive. If you mean us harm we'll have to kill you." More lizard men noticed the group and looked at them confused. Two more lizard men appeared next to the first one. Idisis calmly spoke to the first lizard man. "We need to get through, will you please let us pass?" The lizard man sighed at Idisis, he dissapeared, then came back with a skull helmet, leather armor, and a spear. He showed the equiptment to Nightmare. "Please take this, it might come in handy." Nightmare put on the suit and looked at himself. "Cool!"

Of looked very proud to Nightmare, his eyes sparkled and he smiled as he knocked Eric on his shoulder saying :' Doesn't he look so cute?' . Eric did not understand what Vaan meant by "cute", Eric looked in disgust at Nightmare's mouth full of slobber.'No, he looks like a flesh eating, blood-thirsty, slobbering monster'  Eric said not impressed. tears welled up, and Vaan sobbed" They grow up so fast' Eric pushed Vaan's hand off his shoulder and said' Not fast enough......can we please go now?' Eric started to become impatient because it took so long. The longer it lasts, how offended he is.

Lanzia looked at Nightmare in shock, to her Nightmare looked very different. "Oh great, their giving HIM a weapon? He can't even talk right and your giving him a weapon already? It's not smart to give something a weapon before a creature can talk." Lanzia tapped her foot impatiently, she hated staying in one place for too long.

Idisis sighed looking at Lanzia. "Now what's the rush, whatever, we should be getting to the lake." Idisis saw Lanzia's attitude change completely. "On second thought we could stay here a bit longer couldn't we?" Idisis began walking ahead, the rest of the group fallowed. They finally came out of the forest and came to a lake, there was a fairly big boat that was on the shore of the lake. Judging on how big the boat was, the lake was really deep. Nightmare felt very comptfertable in the leather armor he was given, the skull cap fit perfectly and the spear he had was easy for him to use. There were already some passengers and crew ship workers on the boat. Before they got on the boat Idisis spoke. "Vaan you still have to keep teaching Nightmare to talk, he's still learning." Lanzia sighed looking at the boat. "Can't we just go around the lake, I hate boats." Idisis sighed turning to Lanzia. "No that would take too long, the boat is the quickest way."

Vaan ran to the boat and looked at it Critical and inspected that everything was alright and save to enter. When the rest came closer he raised his thumb and jumped into the boat who backed away in the rippling water. Nightmare also jumped into the boat making Vaan almost losing his balance. While Vaan struggled to stand Eric stepped into the boat not very happy.' Vaan stop joking around, just sit down' Vaan waited patiently until the others had stepped into the boat. Vaan was teaching the word 'passenger' to Nightmare and Eric's face was white as a sheet and he kept himself  tightly to the edge.

The boat was pretty big, it was almost like the ships you'd see out in the ocean, obviously the lake they were crossing must be big. There were other people on board too. One kid was looking happily at the water which was filled with so many fish and a few river dolphins. Once te ship begun to sail the boat shaked greatly, no one could see the other side of the lake yet. As the boat rocket Nightmare tripped off the side of the boat falling into the water. Nightmare had trouble keeping himself above water. Idisis saw Nightmare fall into the water so he jumped in to save him. The crew workers of the ship stopped the boat, they heard something that frightened them all. As the kid looked into the water he saw a fin. "Mommy look! Sharks!" Idisis and Nightmare were pulled under water being attacked by sharks. Nightmares limbs were bitten. A shark bit into Idisis's chest and neck nearly killing him. One of the ship workers dropped in a life saver. Idisis held onto the side and Nightmare stayed in it. Once pulled up Idisis feinted, a crew worker grabbed him before he fell to the ground. "We need medical equipment now!" When Nightmare came up he was injured and whining. The men came with bandages to try and help them.

Vaan looked with increasing misery to Idisis and Nightmare who where attacked and almost killed. He held his breath as they came above the water deadly wounded. All that time he had not blinked, and his eyes felt dry and stiff. Finally, his legs moved and he runned to Idisis and Nightmare. Nightmare whimpered softly and Idisis lay still bleeding out his wounds.'IDISIS....NIGHTMARE!!' Vaan yelled and knelt down beside them. Nightmare answered by whining softly. Vaan knew Idisis was mortally wounded. 'IDISIS, IDISIS ...... PLEASE ANSWER....DO YOU HEAR ME!!' Eric, who was clinging for his dear life said, still very pale:' VAAN, DO YOU REALLY THINK IDISIS COULD HEAR YOU.....HE'S UNCONSCIOUS!!'  Vaan ignored Eric and softly shook Idisis. Eric left muttering the edge of the boat off  and walked carefully and wobbling to Vaan.

Lanzia stood there shocked to see what had happened, she was speechless. She couldn't believe what the sharks did to Idisis and Nightmare. She walked over there looking at Idisis who was uncontious. "This is very bad. I knew the boat was a bad idea." Lanzia watched as Vaan continued to try and get him to wake up.

Nightmare continued to whine when Vaan came over. "I fell in the water, and I kept almost going under. Then Idisis jumped in, next we saw mean sharks. Idisis is a very good friend for saving me." Nightmare nuzzled against Vaan's shoulder still whining.
