"You mean to tell me my uncle Rodney and his father Seth died because of your stupidity?!" yelled Caleb. He was angry now. "Watch your tone Jones," warned Aries. "Not now," snapped Caleb. He stepped up to Collins, but Vinezilla held him back. "Calm down or I'll keep you down with my paw," he growled. Caleb mumbled to himself. "I know you two are angry. I just wish I could take it back," said Collins. "How did they die?" asked Angelica. "Seth sparred with the leader and knocked the sword out of the leader's hand. The leader's sneaky lizard leaped at Sultan and bit down on his paw," thought Aries. "The leader hid and then ambushed your father, who felt Sultan's pain," said Collins. "Of course, me and Collins were still held down by the magician"s power," thought Aries. "The leader drove his rapier into your father's back Seth and killed your uncle Rodney in a sword fight," said Collins. "Sultan was killed by the leader's lizard with the help of another lizard," thought Aries. "What about my sire?" asked Vine.
"Forest lashed out with anger and revenge," thought Aries. "He lit everything on dark green flames. He then attacked the leader, who was able to retreive a Dautheart from the magician and end your sire's life," thought Aries. Vinezilla growled. Seth couldn't believe what he was hearing. Angelica hugged him a bit. "You ok?" she asked. "Yeah," said Seth. "Go on," he said to Collins. "Yeah, how'd you survive?" asked Shadow. "I was able to use a blast of magic to blow the Dungeon People leader and the two lizards over the trees," thought Aries. "Unfortunately, they survived," said Collins. "I somehow got control of the magician"s mind and was able to stop the magic hold on Aries and I," said Collins. "I then burned the evil creature alive," growled Aries. Seth watched as Collins teared up. "I gathered Seth and Rodney's bodies and I....I..held them close," he sobbed. "Aries and I cried over their deaths," sobbed Collins. A female officer rubbed Collins back. "It's ok," she said, and walked off. Collins sniffled.
Caleb watched as the man cried. "I'm not mad anymore for some reason," he thought to Vinezilla. "I understand," thought Vinezilla. "We held the funeral for Seth and Rodney," said Collins. "And for Sultan and Forest," thought Aries. "Caleb, your uncle was the funniest man I knew," said Collins. "That's where I get my humor from," said Caleb. "Seth, your father was the bravest man I knew," said Collins. "I guess that's where I get my personality from," said Seth. Collins smiled. "Your mother and your aunt were devastated," thought Aries. "And that's why Seth's mom didn't like dragons," said Caleb. "Exactly," said Collins. Caleb sighed. "Where's my father's armor?" Vinezilla asked. "Yeah, and my uncle's sword?" asked Caleb. Collins smiled again. "Follow us," he said. He and Aries walked towards a room and entered it. Caleb, Vinezilla, Seth, Shadow, Angelica, and Angel followed them. Collins gestured to a covered glass wall. He removed the cloth over it and Caleb gasped. Behind the wall were swords and armor.
Seth was surprised to see the two Rider sword hanging up behind the glass wall. One was a dark green, iridescent blade, with the glyph "Leaf Cutter" on it. The other was a light silver, iridescent blade, with the glyph "Ivory" on it. Next to the swords were two sets of dragon armor. The sets of armor were sparkling silver. "They get polished by me every two weeks," said Collins. Seth touched the glass, along with Caleb and Vinezilla. "I don't believe it. My father's sword and Sultan's armor," said Seth. Shadow looked on as well. "They're beautiful," said Angelica. "Yeah," said Collins. "I keep Aries's armor in my office and my sword with me," said Collins, unsheathing a red-orange blade. He then sheathed it back. "Does my mother know you have this?" asked Seth. "Yes. She allowed me to keep both of them. Your aunt did too Caleb," said Collins. Seth looked back at the sword of his father. "To think my father used this blade," said Seth. He then looked at Caleb. "We found what we were looking for," he said.
"Yes we did," said Caleb. His uncle's sword was staring back at him. Caleb thought about how his uncle used this sword. "I want the armor," thought Vinezilla. Collins and Aries looked at the green dragon. "What? Why?" asked Caleb. "Because I am his son and I should carry it on. Pass it down from generation to generation," thought Vinezilla. Caleb looked at Collins and Aries. Collins looked up at Aries. "Fine Vinezilla. But do not destroy it," thought the dragon. "Thank you," thought Vinezilla. Caleb chuckled. He then turned to Seth. "Well, I'm ready to go see my parents now. I've seen what I wanted," he said. Collins and Aries removed the armor from behind the wall. Caleb removed Vinezilla's saddle. They then placed the armor onto Vinezilla. "It fits," thought Vinezilla. Caleb chuckled and strapped on the saddle. He then climbed onto the dragon's back. "Thank you Collins, Aries," said Caleb. "No prob," said Collins. "Seth, does Shadow want Sultan's armor or do you want your father's sword?" asked Collins.
Seth thought for a moment. "I'll take the sword. Shadow has his own armor and besides, he doesn't wanna' wear another dragon's stuff," said Seth. Shadow nodded. "Very well," thought Aries. Ivory was removed and given to Seth. Seth strapped the sword to his belt and climbed onto Shadow's back. "Thank you again Collins," said Seth. "Anytime," said Collins. Angelica climbed onto Angel's back. "Nice meeting you," she said. "You too," thought Aries. Shadow, Angel, and Vinezilla walked out of the station and flew into the air. "Off to our neighborhood," thought Seth. "Ok," thought Angelica. The three dragons flew and arrived in Seth and Caleb's neighborhood. They landed behind Caleb's house where Aro and Coal were waiting. The three climbed down from their dragons and greeted Aro and Coal. Caleb's parents and Daniel came out in the back. "Hi Mr. and Mrs. Jones," said Seth. Shadow nodded at them. "Seth!" exclaimed Caleb's parents. "Seth?" they then asked. "I told you," said Daniel. Seth chuckled. Caleb hugged them.
"I missed you guys," said Caleb as he hugged his parents. "We missed you and Vinezilla and Daniel and Aro and Coal," said Caleb's mother. Caleb chuckled. "Hello mother, father," thought Vinezilla. "You've gotten bigger Vine," said Caleb's father. Vinezilla laughed. Caleb's parents hugged his snout. They then looked at Angelica and Angel. "And who's this?" asked Caleb's mother. "Oh, this is Angelica, Seth's girlfriend and Angel, Shadow's mate," said Caleb. "Hi," said Angelica with a wave. "Hello," thought Angel. Caleb turned to Seth and Shadow. "You two ready to see your mom?" Caleb asked. "I did make her a promise," he added. Vinezilla looked at Seth and Shadow. Seth looked up at Shadow. "You ready?" he asked. "I am. But are you?" asked Shadow. Caleb looked back at Coal and rubbed his furry neck, waiting for an answer from Seth. Vinezilla flicked his tail a bit. Angelica and Angel looked at Seth and Shadow as well. "Well baby?" asked Angelica. Angel nudged Shadow. Shadow looked at her and then back at Seth.
Seth looked at them all. "Alright. I'm ready," he said. "Good," thought Shadow. Seth, Shadow, Angelica, Angel, Caleb, and Vinezilla made their way across the street onto Seth's front lawn. Seth then stopped. "Caleb, you go knock on the door since you made the promise," said Seth. "Ok," said Caleb. He walked up to the front door and rang the door bell. He then knocked on the door and stepped back. Seth looked at Shadow. "This is it," he thought. "It'll be fine," thought the black dragon. The front door unlocked. It then opened. Seth's mother stepped out. "Hi Caleb. Haven't seen you in a while," she said. "I know. I kept my promise," said Caleb. He gestured to Seth. Seth's mother gasped. "Hi mom," said Seth. "It's your one and only baby boy," he said. He then gestured to Shadow. "Shadow grew and we're both skilled fighters," said Seth. Seth watched his mother cry tears of joy. She ran over to him. Seth and his mother embraced. "My baby's alive and home," she sobbed. Seth smiled. He missed his mother dearly.
Caleb smiled as Seth and his mother embraced. Seth then released the tears. Caleb was about to cry too. "This is a wonderful kodiak moment," said Caleb. Angelica smiled as she teared up. Caleb then remembered Mr. Clemmingtime and Aleria. "We'll be back," he said. Caleb climbed onto Vinezilla's back. "We're going to Mr. Clemmingtime's house," thought Caleb. "Ok," thought Vinezilla. The green dragon flew off. He landed in the back of Mr. Clemmingtime's house. Caleb climbed down from Vinezilla. Aleria leaped from her tree house, which had been rebuilt, and landed on the ground, shaking it. She was as big as four houses now. "Welcome back Caleb and Vinezilla," she thought. "I just wanted to let you know that Keisha and Ramses are alive and well," said Caleb. "Thank you," said Mr. Clemmingtime, walking out of his house. "Seth is back too. He and his black dragon Shadow Nightscales," thought Vinezilla. "Wow," said the old man. "So my mate's Rider's son is still alive," thought Aleria. Caleb and Vinezilla stared.
Seth cried tears of joy as well. His mother kissed him on the cheek repeatedly. "Where did you go?" she asked. "Farthen Dur," said Seth. "Figures. Now you look like an elf," she said. Seth chuckled. Shadow lowered his head to get a better look at Seth's mother. "Do you remember me?" he ask her. Seth's mother smiled. "Of course I do. I don't remember you speaking though," said Seth's mother. Shadow laughed. "I'm sorry I didn't accept you two as what you are now. Can you forgive me?" she asked. "Yes," said Seth and Shadow. Seth's mother hugged Seth and Shadow's snout. She then gasped as she saw the two swords. "You have your own sword," she said. Seth nodded and unsheathed Deyja. He then sheathed it back and unstrapped Ivory. He handed his father's sword to her. Seth's mother gasped as she saw the sword. "Officer Collins let me keep it," said Seth. Seth's mother looked at him. "I know everything," he said. She sighed and took her husband's sword. "He carried this around all the time. Even when you were born."
"What do you mean 'mate'?" asked Caleb. Mr. Clemmingtime sighed. "Sultan, Seth Sr.'s dragon, became Aleria's mate back when Seth was only twenty," said the old man. "What?" asked Vinezilla. "It is true. I am the mate of Sultan, but little Seth doesn't know that nor his mother," thought Aleria. Caleb was shocked. "So Ramses is..." "The son of Sultan," said Mr. Clemmingtime. Caleb sat down on Vinezilla's right paw. "Wow," he said. "Ramses doesn't even know does he?" asked Vinezilla. "I'm afraid not. I was planning on telling him when he got back, or if he ever got back," thought Aleria. Caleb looked at Mr. Clemmingtime. "Does Keisha know?" he asked. "No one but Aleria, you, Vinezilla, and I know," said Mr. Clemmingtime. "Not even my uncle or Officer Collins?" asked Caleb. "Nor my sire?" asked Vinezilla. Mr. Clemmingtime and Aleria shook their heads. Caleb looked at the ground. "Can I tell Seth?" asked Caleb. "You can tell anybody," thought Aleria. Caleb nodded and flew off on Vinezilla. Vinezilla land in front.
They all looked back to see Vinezilla landed in the yard. "There's a picture I want to show you Seth," said Seth's mother. She went inside th house with Ivory. Seth looked over at Angelica. He winked at her. Angelica smiled and walked over to him. Seth put his right arm around her. "How do you like my mom?" asked Seth. "She's nice," said Angelica. Seth chuckled and the two kissed. Seth's mother came back outside without the sword, but with a picture frame in her hand. She handed it to Seth. Seth took it and looked at the picture with Angelica. It was Seth's baby picture. His mother was holding him in her arms and Seth's father was in it as well, grinning. The background in the picture was sparkling silver. "Nice background," said Angelica. "I've seen this picture a thousand times mom," said Seth. "Take it out," said Seth's mother. Seth opened the picture frame and pulled out the picture. He handed the frame to his mother and saw that the picture was actually folded. "What the?" Seth asked. He unfolded it.
Caleb climbed down from Vinezilla as Seth's mother walked into the house. He fixed Oakmar's sheath and then turned to Vinezilla. "Should I tell him?" he asked. Seth's mother came back out and handed Seth a picture frame. "Let's wait until we find out what this is about," thought Vinezilla. "Cool," said Caleb. He watched as Seth and Angelica looked at the picture. "Take it out," Seth's mother said. Vinezilla laid down and Caleb sat next to him. Seth took out the picture and saw that it was folded. "Why is the picture folded?" asked Vinezilla. "I don't know," said Caleb. He had seen the picture before. It was Seth when he was a baby, his mom holding him, and his dad grinning. The bbackground was also sparkling silver. "Wait a minute," said Caleb. "What?" asked Vinezilla. "Sultan was silver right?" asked Caleb. "Yeah," thought Vinezilla. Caleb remembered Seth's mother said that that picture was taken when Seth was five months old. Sultan was alive then, as well as his Rider. "I can't believe it," said Caleb.
Seth unfolded the picture. Shadow, Angel, and Angelica watched him. Seth gasped as he finished unfolding the picture. It was now clear. It wasn't just Seth, his mother, and his father in the picture. There was a fourth member. A large, silver dragon was standing behind them in the picture, a saddle strapped to his back. The silver dragon had his head lowered, looking down at Seth and his right paw hanging in the air. It was Sultan, Seth's father's dragon. Ivory was sheathed in its sheath on Seth's father's side. "Oh my God," said Seth. He finally had a clear picture of what Sultan and his father looked like before they died. Seth looked at his mother. "Why didn't you show me this before? Why'd you fold it?" he asked. "Because I didn't like dragons Seth," said his mother. "I folded it because it reminded me of Sultan and then the death," said his mother. Seth sighed. Here was what he needed. Sultan was beautiful. Angelica kissed Seth on the cheek as he teared up. "My dad was a Rider and his dragon was cool."
Aphelia woke up and yawned. She looked down at her eggs and smiled. "Good morning Wolfy," she thoughtt. "Good morning Aphelia. I trust you slept well?" asked Wolfsbayne. "I did," thought Aphelia. She stood up and stretched. Aphelia walked out of her alcove and made her way out of the temple. Her tongue flickered out of her maw as she tasted the air. "I think I'll go hunting for some wild boar," she thought. "I already have breakfast ready for us," thought a voice. Aphelia looked into the air and saw Aiden. Her yellow scaled son landed next to her, Sarah on his back. "Good morning," they all thought. "Whatt do you mean you have breakfast ready?" asked Aphelia. "Murtagh, Thorn, Sophia, Roslin, Sarah, and I planned this along with Wolfsbayne for your special day. Happy birthday mother," thought Aiden. Aphelia gasped. She then began to keen joyfully. "You remembered," she thought. "I never forgot," thought Aiden. "True. He kept bugging me about it," said Sarah. Aphelia smiled and nuzzled her son. "Get Wolfsbane."
