Arnold watched the Utahraptors and the new creature eat their kill. Arnold, normally being a scavenger, decided to just wait for them to finish their fill. Leo crawled up right next to him and the two creatures looked at each other. Suddenly, Arnold felt something on his right flank. Leo looked and it looked like the same sharp thing that knocked him out earlier. The Gorgonops leapt at his allie's leg and violently ripped it off with his teeth. Arnold squeeled in pain and then said "That's it, boy!" Not understanding the message, but knowing that it meant trouble, Leo ran away with the giant pig in pursuit.
An anomaly has opened to the Late Cretaceous.
As the Postosuchus walked into the humidity and somewhat tropical climate, he gasped and blinked.  He was very disoriented, and as he watched trmendous organisms go about their daily buisness.  He almost thought about hiding, until he remembered the armored plates on his back.   Funny how easy it was to forget about those when you never needed them.  Anywhoo, as he gaped in wonder at the new land the anomaly had shown him, formulating and epic in his head, he also decided that he was glad he had armor plating, as it would come in handy if any of the beasts before him, (or the ones gathering behind him in the anomaly) looked down, and didn't find it to their liking.  Thinking of this, the Postosuchus looked down, and found that Coeophysis, (or something similar) was much more numerous in the world thorugh the portal he had entered.  He found that these reptiles were easier to chew than their earlier cousins.  A lowling of a world rich with life was much preferable to the king of a dying world.  (did I do it right?)
As Leo ran away from his angry ally, he noticed that an anomaly has opened up. Without hesitation, the Gorgonops ran towards the light and leapt through with Arnold in tail. The two stumbled on a lush plain dotted with forests here and there. There were herds of hadrosaurs and large ceratopsians as well as a few Ankylosaurs. Not too far away, Leo noticed another creature that seemed out of place. Arnold remembered his fight with one back in the Triassic and started to roar at it with his huge jaws. Leo wasn't far behind on the idea of fighting either.
Drehli followed prusute and came up behind her two allies. She looked at them then roared as well. The sound would terrify most and send them running. Some would take the challange into a fight. To Drehli it mattered not. She roared loudly over her two allies heads, sense she sorta toward over them. Her hind leg claws dugg into the ground as she side steped and walked next to Leo. She had stoped roaring but her teeth were drawn back into a snarl. She lowed her head and looked at her friend with golden eyes. Then lifted her head again and glared at anything that seemed to move other then her allies.
As Forascens turned to face the attackers, for a second he was horrified, before his instincts kicked in.  He analyzed his opponets.  One was somewhat similar to himself, the major differences being a faster build, no armor, and a bit smaller.  ANother one was...  What?  He would adress the problem of what exactly the thing was later, but he could probable take the thing in a fight, assuming he could avoid the teeth.  The gigantic Coeophysis (or whatever it was) was what really scared him.  He could probably take the others in a similar manner to another postosuchus and a bull pleceirias, judging by their stances, but that huge thing was...  Terrifying.  He found himself on a slope, and used that to his advantage, positioning himself so that the only things exposed were his armored back, and his gaping maw.  Now why was he fighting, you might ask?  Because A, he could never outrun the gigantic one, and B, he was actually only about 9 feet shorter than the allosaurus, and if he thigns wnt his way, he might scare the attackers off.  He roared at them, as he mused on what the strange creature tasted like.
Drehli instantly knew this creature was going to sdo harm to her allies and she for one didnt not liek t his. Leaveing her friends side she stood in front of them and with a terrifrying roar she bellowed at the opponent. Her golden eyes slits and she glared at her enemy. She walked forward snarling. She was going to give this thing a chance to run or to show itself friendly. She pulled her lips over her teeth in a silent snarl. Her hind claws sunk into the ground as she stood there. She was a few feet away from the oponent. She turned her head and looked at him watching him...waiting...
The way Forsascens saw it, he had two options: Run, or show the universal Triassic sign of goodwill.  Now, you might assume that this would mean showing your belly, but this is not so.  In the Triassic, locomotion is everything.  If you can't walk, even placerias can get away from you.  If you can't walk, you're are nearly always dead.  Hence, the sign of goodwill and peace is going to be shutting your mouth and exposing you legs.  But these creatures were not Triassic.  Forascens briefly considered his options, musing about many things at once, one being that their was no way he ccould move fast enough for it to be judged as running, based on all these organisms and how fast they were.  Sadly, he spent the entire time the beast gave him musing.  Luckily, his musing stance is much less threatening, so perhaps the loss of aggresion and deffensiveness would save him.  If not, it was a good thing he had armor plates and a big head.
Drehli let out a loud hiss then tilted her head then turned around and waled away from the creature. He was lucky, what ever stance he took was less threatning and what not. She still kept her eye on him and still stood infront of her friends but she was less on the verge of attacking. She snorted and then looked down at her two allies. She relaxed and looked at them hopeing they would get the signal to relax and calm down as well. She swerved her head around again though to look at the creature. She wanted to see what his move would be...to come over and try to make allies and friends...or to stay alone.
Forascens considered his options, somewhat more breifly this time, before deciding to drag some sort of representation into the moist (he thought is was moist.  Moist was a weird thing) soil of the anomaly, and a representation of his barren homeland on one side, and this lush, fertile, oasis (it had to be an oasis.) on the other side, before scratching a line throught and giving the other beasts a questioning look.  Why, you might ask?  Not only was he a seeker of knowledge, but they didn't seem to be on the verge of tearing out his organs any more, and might even be able to be reasoned with.

Drehli tilted her head more and turned her body towards the new creature. She looked at the line and blinked at it serveral times. She then herself used her hind claw to tear her own line in the earth. She stood back and looked at it then back at the other creature. She let out a small roar. Not as a threat but as a friendly little like qestion of sorts. She turned her head towards her friends then looked down at her feet then back at the creature as if summoning him to join the group or to offer him a spot in the group. She almost seemed to 'Wag' her tail and her golden eyes gleamed at the creature.

Callidus her sister the Vhan and Soft Fur walked through the portal. Callidus wanted to see this adventure through and the others followed. She considered herself beta of the traveling pack. With cunning she odds were could best Leo and Arnold if they knew how her kind did things. The newest creature in the pack she remembered seeing one before. Back then it was protecting territory so the raptors held no grudge against their kind and watched Leo about to pick a challange and looked to Drehli to see if she was going to intervine.

Soft Fur watched the squabbling shyly from behind Callidus's legs she was never that confident in her own fighting abilities and was one of her prior pack's omegas. The stress breaker but she could do nothing to calm these alien creatures down. They didn't recognize her placating gestures and she didn't dare try to play or lick their not visible ears. The raptors had figured her out quickly so she stayed close. It was against her kind's law to do serious harm to an omega they did more to keep the pack together than the alpha could ever do, but her father had his omega and didn't need her so he sent her away... Her brothers had chased her off her pack's land... or tried to her father had not allowed it. A small final kindness of the alpha that she was grateful for.

Leo noticed that the new creature's body language was somewhat of what he considered submissive. The young Gorgonops backed away from while Arnold continued to eye the armored beast. As he looked at Forcacens, Leo heard something coming closer to the group. Suddenly, a group of Dromaeosaurus leapt out of the bushes at the group. After their pounce, the small raptors simply ran in circles around the group to find a week spot. As they were about to attack, one of them suddenly got a hole blown through it. As the Dromaeosaurus collapses, the others attempt to run away only for the very same thing to happen to them. In the background, a voice was heard that was saying "I love target practice!"
Before Forascens had time to respond to the gigantic beast, he ehard a loud sound, acompanied by a spedding object ramming into the antive wildlife and puncturing it.  As it died, Forascens heard a trange, ugly, rather discorordinated call.  A theory formulated in his head.  PErhaps it was some sort of projectile weapon?  Rather like a Coeophysis throwing a stone, only spead up and much more powerful?  As Forascens was lost in his musings, he was jolted back to reality by the repeated gunshots.  It was certainly a good thing he had body armor.  As he turned to exposed flesh away form the strange attackers, he glanced over at the response of the beast, the gigantic line in the earth.  Perhaps it didn't realize what the things on either side of the line were, and was questioning his behaivor? This suggested that either Forascens wasn't a good artist, the beast wasn't the most intelligent beast around, or a combiantion therof.  He was once again lost in his musings.

Plot

Anomalies have opened up in various time periods and the various animals that time has forgotten have passed through these portals to find worlds that are new to them. Unfortunately, native animals are not going to give up their territory easily and would only allow the invaders in with their cold dead hands (or jaws, claws, hooves, etc.) To make things worse, humans are also passing through these portals for conquest. Whether you are an invader or a native, you must drive these two legs out of your realm.

History

Anomalies have appeared throughout the various time periods of Earth's prehistory. Because of this, creatures from these time periods are entering into eras that time has forbid them from going to. Because of these invaders, the native creatures are not too happy about this and have tried to do what they can to try to drive out the invaders. For some of these invaders, they are going through mass extinctions that are forcing them to migrate through time. For others, they are simply creatures in their prime that have been drawn in by pure curiosity. Whatever intentions the invading creatures have though, these invasions are causing ecosystems to collapse as both invaders and natives fight for supremacy. When it started to look like it couldn't get any worse, humans have arrived and are also taking their claims on the land.

Rules

-No Godmodding

-PG 13 You can have blood/gore, but not too much.

-Invading creatures cannot communicate with Natives and vice versa. Only creatures from the same time can communicate and can even negotiate despite predator/prey relationships.

-No matter what creature you are, you are going to have difficulty fighting against creatures that are ahead of (or behind) your own time. Because of this, you will likely get injured in such fights.

-You can have 3 characters. If a character dies, you can replace that character with a new one. These characters must also be from different times

-You must ask permission if you want to kill another player's character

-You can request playable species on the OOC.

-We will go through sort of a cycle for time periods that the characters go to. The first anomaly will take you to the Carboniferous. Each time period will be 15 posts which will result in another anomaly opening to the Early Permian. Then to the Late Permian, then to the Late Triassic and so on. If we managed to make it to the latest of the future time periods, we will end up going back to our own time periods to fight off invaders/humans. After that 10 posts, the cycle starts over again.

Note: Future Creatures won't be playable until the RP gets to the future. I allowed another spot for how many characters people can play so they can save up for the future creatures.
