A Tangy smell washed over her. She sniffed the air. It wasnt the smell of the now dead male creature but...something diffrent. She followed the scent silently. She was weary as she steped through the creatures camp. She saw the other creature she was hunting eariler standing were the dilisous scent was comeing from. She let out s silent rumble to let the creature know she was comeing. If he thought she was a threat, she wouldnt know. She just kept walking towards the scent until she stood close to the other creature and stared at the human. She opened her jaws and closed them again staring at the human and at the gorgonops.

The human chef realized that he forgot some spices and went off to get some. Leo watched him go until he was on the other side of the camp. Leo took this chance to run to the grill to try to steal a pork chop. What he didn't realize was that the grill was still hot and when he took one of the pork chops, the left side of his mouth was burnt and he roared in agony. When he heard the sounds of humans coming over, he quickly grabbed his pork chop and ran off to the bushes to wolf it down. This was the most delicious meal he had in his life and looked back to the camp with hungry eyes.
Drehli let out a hiss of frustrantion at the other creatures ignorance. As the humans ran towards her she let out a loud roar at them turned around and ran back into the shelter of the trees and bushes. She looked up through the trees to look at the sky. It was almost dark. She sighed and silently walked through the Swamp in serch of some place to sleep. She stoped to look around. Those new creatures made her alittle bit nervous and she sniffed the air. Their strange scent was there but faint. Good. She keept walking until she found a good place were she could fit and hide and sleep. She curled up by the bushes looked around then layed her head down and closed her eyes.
Leo watched as the humans were wielding their weapons and chasing away the Allosaurus. Realizing that it was night, the Gorgonops decided it might be a good time to mark the area and find a place to watch everything going on in the night. As soon as the humans went back to their camp, Leo started marking every single tree he could find as he wandered in search of some sort of observation spot. After minutes of searching, he found a rock that is just perfect for him. After climbing the rock, he watched the human camp and noticed they were all grouped up in front of a lightly built male that seemed to be talking to them all. After half an hour of watching them just standing there listening to their leader, the humans were yelling and had their arms up, weapons and all. Leo realized this is likely not good and might need to get away from this area. There seems to be a bright light off in the distance beyond the human camp.

Anomalies leading to the Early Permian have opened up.

Drehli's eyes snapped open at the huma yellings. She got up and let out a low gorlw and looked around. She scanned the aerea and when she relized it was just them yelling in there camp she ignored it. what cought her curiosity was a light that was a distance from the humans camp. She snorted tilted her head and woundered if she should go. Weather it was curosity or not she started to move around the humans camp to go towards the misterious light. What they it was or what lay in or behind it was a mystery. She let out low raors and rumbles, if anything else like her wanted to join. She had a feeling more then one creature would be good against these creatures.
Leo realized that this was the same kind of light that brought him to this strange world in the first place. Already being freaked out by the two legged creatures that cook delicious food, he decided to try to sneak himself around the camp to get to the light. As he crawled through the undergrowth, he heard a roar. As he popped his head out of the plant matter, he noticed that the Allosaurus seemed to be going toward the light too. Could this creature also be lost in this strange world too? He continued towards the light anyway. As soon as he got to the light, he noticed that he wasn't the only one going to the light, he noticed a swarm of Meganeura flying towards the light with no fear whatsoever. After looking to the skies, he felt something bump into his left side. It was a large Arthropleura crawling right through the portal. If these native creatures aren't afraid of going through, what is stopping a Gorgonops such as himself from going too? With newly found confidence, Leo roared loudly and leaped through the anomaly. On the other side, the world he has entered is dryer, not as dry as his home period, but dry nonetheless.
Drehli watched the Gorgonops go through the light. She bobed her head and walked through it as well. The air felt weightless then dry. She snorted then sneezed. What was this world. It was diffrent then her homeland. She sighed and noticed the Gorgonops was close to her. She lowered her head and looked at him with percing Gold eyes. She woundered if he would see her has a threat or friend. She wandered if she would need a friend to survive this weird time lapse thing. She shook her head and clawed at the ground in frustrantion wondering what to do.
Calidus was hunting a larger lizard she was on her own because she was avoiding the alpha male of her pack who was trying to claim her despite the fact that she showed no interest in him. She ran through a strange light without realizing it and wound up in a desert with a sandy lizard in her mouth. She dropped it on the sand and looked around to see the light now too small for her to go back. Her eyes widened and she felt her pulse quicken and she spotted two strange creatures one slightly more familiar looking and she made her way to the semi familiar creature and stared up at it. Calidus was happy for any familiarity...
As Leo stared at the landscape around him, he noticed another anomaly open. Suddenly, a creature somewhat like the Allosaurus went through. The new creature seemed to be going toward him and his much larger peer as if it wanted something. Not really trusting such a beast, Leo started to growl and show off his saber teeth to try to scare the creature off. As the creature got closer, he tried to make his bluff seem even more serious with roars and swipes with his paws. Realizing that the creature was not intimidated, he ran off to the side to try to find a spot to attack. But when he wasn't looking, a strange looking creature slightly larger than him charged at him and bit into his already scabby wound. As Leo was knocked to the ground, the sail-backed beast was running back to make another charge. Leo got up quickly and the two mammal-like reptiles charged at each other. As the Dimetrodon tried to take a bite on his front leg, the Gorgonops jumped to the side and clawed it on its side. His opponent swiped its tail at his legs and knocked him down. The Dimetrodon tried to bite Leo on the neck, but the Gorgonops' lion-like mane prevented the fangs from getting to his skin. Leo knocked his attacker off and got up to pin it down just like it tried to do to him. After a few seconds of staring at the struggling animal's neck, Leo took his saber-like teeth and bit down into a major artery, quickly killing it. Just as he did for most of the hard battles he has won so far, Leo backed up and roared to the sky to intimidate any other would-be attackers.
Calidus's head snapped at the roar and she stared at the stranger creatures. She blinked and tried to adress the creatures who passed through light like she did after the fight gesturing to herself saying her name "Calidus..." She was trying to breach a interspeicies barrier acting non threateningly as possible. For all she knew the gorganops and the allosaurus were together making one uneasy could set the other off. The other time traveling creatures seemed semi intelligent. She started speaking slowly though she knew they wouldn't understand "We're all lost apparently so we may wish to join forces. I know you don't understand me but it makes me feel better to talk here..." She went on if anything just trying to comfort herself about the situation.
Drehli stared at the new screature walking towrds them. She sniffed the air. No threat and nothing told her that anything here would stand much of a chance to her. How ever she still bared her teeth golden eyes watching and weary. She held her ground but showed nothing other then the slight wearyness. The only thing on her mind was to stay away from those upwalkers like herself that caried those firesticks. She snorted and looked at the creatures. If only they could comunicate to each other. She opened her mouth and closed it again and tilted her head.
After his overdramatic victory roar, Leo decided to tear the Dimetrodon corpse apart to show that he is not to be messed with. Leo pinned down the corpse and started biting at the neck and legs to try to tear them off. He also stomped on the sail while doing this to break the body up as much as he could. As soon as Leo decided that he tore the carcass up enough, he tossed the chunks of dead Dimetrodon in all different directions to spread the message as far as he could. Of course each piece just flew 20 feet plopping and attracting scavenging amphibians. Leo looked back at the Utahraptor that had just arrived. "What the bloody carcass is covering that thing's body?" he said in curiosity.
Drehli snorted and let out a little growl and tilted her head. Some how she could but couldnt understand this strange creature. "What...?" She asked in pure confusion. Her claws dug into the soft Earth. She missed her home land and ached for it badly. She also was quiet hungry...only eating half of that up walker thing. She licked her lips. She looked down and watched the Gorgonops tear the Dimetrodon into bloody ribbons. She turned toward the dead creature and lowered her head sniffing it. It smelled ok. She looked at the Gorgonops then stood to her full height again and stted at the new creature. Hunger could wait.
Realizing that the new creature was onto him, Leo bared his saber teeth and growled to try to prevent his new opponent from getting any closer. The Gorgonops then started to move side to side a bit as if to assess the situation. Remembering how scary it was being huddled up in a corner against the Allosaurus, Leo's subconcience was forcing him to back up away from this obviously more intimidating opponent. Leo then remembered that he is still covered in scabs and gashes from the various creatures that he had encountered since going through the first anomaly. As if to make a last ditch effort to get away from this new creature, Leo roared as loudly as he can, turned around and ran.

Plot

Anomalies have opened up in various time periods and the various animals that time has forgotten have passed through these portals to find worlds that are new to them. Unfortunately, native animals are not going to give up their territory easily and would only allow the invaders in with their cold dead hands (or jaws, claws, hooves, etc.) To make things worse, humans are also passing through these portals for conquest. Whether you are an invader or a native, you must drive these two legs out of your realm.

History

Anomalies have appeared throughout the various time periods of Earth's prehistory. Because of this, creatures from these time periods are entering into eras that time has forbid them from going to. Because of these invaders, the native creatures are not too happy about this and have tried to do what they can to try to drive out the invaders. For some of these invaders, they are going through mass extinctions that are forcing them to migrate through time. For others, they are simply creatures in their prime that have been drawn in by pure curiosity. Whatever intentions the invading creatures have though, these invasions are causing ecosystems to collapse as both invaders and natives fight for supremacy. When it started to look like it couldn't get any worse, humans have arrived and are also taking their claims on the land.

Rules

-No Godmodding

-PG 13 You can have blood/gore, but not too much.

-Invading creatures cannot communicate with Natives and vice versa. Only creatures from the same time can communicate and can even negotiate despite predator/prey relationships.

-No matter what creature you are, you are going to have difficulty fighting against creatures that are ahead of (or behind) your own time. Because of this, you will likely get injured in such fights.

-You can have 3 characters. If a character dies, you can replace that character with a new one. These characters must also be from different times

-You must ask permission if you want to kill another player's character

-You can request playable species on the OOC.

-We will go through sort of a cycle for time periods that the characters go to. The first anomaly will take you to the Carboniferous. Each time period will be 15 posts which will result in another anomaly opening to the Early Permian. Then to the Late Permian, then to the Late Triassic and so on. If we managed to make it to the latest of the future time periods, we will end up going back to our own time periods to fight off invaders/humans. After that 10 posts, the cycle starts over again.

Note: Future Creatures won't be playable until the RP gets to the future. I allowed another spot for how many characters people can play so they can save up for the future creatures.
