Forascens quietly looked up from his midafternoon nap, to see some of the strange two-legged creatures without tails, who had covered themselves with some sort of presumably artificial armor, and were weilding sticks tipped with the phenomanon which occured between dry organic matter and harsh sunlight and/or heat.  Perhaps they had harnessed it, and were now preparing to use it against them?  Forascens theorized that, because of this, and what appeared to be devolution of athletic and other physical traits, that they were creatures of the mind, even more so than he.  Perhaps they had come through the portals for the purpose of colonization?  Either way, they were coming for the group, and their apparant overconfidance in the face of all these horrendous beasts scared him.  Perhaps they new something they didn't?  Whatever the case, Forascens was quite full, and picked the choiciest bit of meat he could from the rather large kill he'd obtained the night before, walked straight past Arnolds hiding place with it, dropped the pachyderm bit in front of the strange creatures in a attempt at a gesutre of peace, and lumbered back to the indentaion he'd found in the earth, simutaneously returning to his midafternoon nap.
Nakoba saw that two-legs were approaching with their fire-sticks. She was just about to leap at them when a large creature that faintly resembled her lumbered oward them. It dropped a large chunk of meat in front of them before walking back to it's napping spot. The kaprosuchus cocked her head in confusion. Two-legs are to be eaten, why would the other predator offer it some of it's prey? Nakoba shook her head, what a strange animal, she thought. Deciding to check out this group of animals, she slowly headed over. When she was about 30 feet away she stopped and waited for one of them to notice her.
Leo waited in the bushes for the humans to go within pouncing distance. As he watched, he noticed the Postosuchus that had just joined the group drop a piece of meat in front of them. The humans stopped in confusion and one of them said "What the. . ." Right when the humans were distracted, Leo leapt out of the bushes at them and managed to tackle one of them down. The humans took out their beating sticks and started to hit Leo with them. The human that Leo was attacking was also struggling to keep the saber toothed jaws of the beast away from his throat.
Nakoba saw the mammal-reptile leap at the humans. Deciding the best way to show herself as friendly, Nakoba tore after a human trying to escape. Using her own tusk like fangs, she ripped open the human. Without checking to see if it was dead she swiped at another. Nakoba caught it on the side of it's head and watched it stagger back then fall to the ground. She cruched it's head between her jaws to be sure. Suddenly she felt a burning sting hit her side and whipped around. The first human she attacked had shot her with a fire-stick. Nakoba lunged at the human and snapped it's neck.
After the battle, an anomaly had opened up right next to them. Leo had just finished eating from one of the human corpses and he leapt through the anomaly. He landed in what seemed to be scrubland. Arnold ran right behind him and then realized that it was his home. He looked to his left as a large herd of Paraceratherium were stampeding right at them. Arnold ran at Leo and tossed him out of the way. The pig barely escaped the heavy footsteps of the sauropod-sized rhinoceros relatives. Arnold then looked and seen what caused the commotion. There was a large entity that was animal-like, but seemed to be made of metal. The thing was running around, shooting out lights of red and blue.
Callidus and her division had retreated from the fight with the humans. They terrified Bright Eyes and Vhan and with them as scared as they were it would have been her and 'Sweet Howler' as she called the dire wolf now. Being unable to communicate a battle plan made a fight a bad idea. It had been cleverness, luck, and a pack to make it this far unscathed. Now was not the time for confidence it was time for caution. Callidus and her division had gone through the portal. Callidus and the other utahraptors knew it was a time space anomaly that they were walking through. Soft Howl was chattering to Bright Eyes the same way Callidus had to Drelhi a while back. The sauropod sized mammals around them were easily avoided if you got out of their way. The division stood as a pack a short distance away from the stampede. They were still helpless to aid the Terminator pig though, Drehli could but they could not. Another of Arnold's kind stared them down instead and the division scattered then regrouped, all except for Vhan who was stupidly showing off by biting it's leg and darting out of the enraged animal's way.
Forascenes grumbled, hoisting himself up.  As he passed the remains of the chaos which had ended as he had napped, he raised the postosuchus equivalent of an eyebrow.  What violent creatures I associate myself with!  He thought.  Of course, he'd never run into a being which wasn't violent, so that rather dampened to effect of the statement.  He quietly wondered if their were any non-violent beings, such as himself.  He had frequently pondered that he had some sort of mutation, and this theory was no less prominent now, as he lumbered through the anomaly and into the vast scrubland.
Nakoba looked up and saw a bright light not far away. When she saw the odd pack go through she raced after them. She leaped through and saw a vast plain around her. There was also a large herd of freaky leather-skinned long neck .. things. The Paraceratheriums were running around wildly and she saw one of the Utahrapters biting at one. Nakoba slowly scooted towards the Gorgonops. Unsure of how to show herself friendly, Nakoba exposed her neck, but also was prepared to run if he attacked. She noticed that the psycho Utahrapter had finally stopped tormenting the long-necks, as Nakoba had come to call them.

Arnold watched as the robot the size of the Allosaurus was going around shooting at everything. The Terminator Pig decided that this would be fun and charged at it. While the robot was distracted with shooting down trees, Arnold managed to bump into one of its two legs. This caught the robot out of balance and it almost collapsed onto the ground. Unfortunately, the robot is now taking out what seemed to be huge blades with teeth. Arnold ran away as the robot span around continuously around the whole location.

Meanwhile, Leo was watching as the Kaprosuchus walked up to him. The teeth on this new creature were more impressive than his small sabers that he had. Realizing that the much larger crocodilian was purposely showing a submissive position, the Gorgonops purred and then ran away from the robot.

Nakoba was relieved when the Gorgonops didn't attack. The Kaprosuchus then whipped around and saw the giant pig attacking a large shiny thing that stood on two legs. Nakoba saw the danger but decided the Terminator pig would need help. With her mouth agape, Nakoba charged. She slammed her full weight into it then bit it. She hissed in pain when her tusks bounced off it. She whapped it with her thick tail then tried biting again. This time she put in more force and kept sinking in her fangs. Finally they penatrated the shiny outside. She braced her forlegs on the robots leg and ripped a large chuck off it. Nakoba looked at it in confusion when the thing didn't bleed.
Forascens watched with astonishment as they fought the hige shiny beast.  Perhaps?  No.  Maybe?  No.  It appeared to have no external sensory devices, and it was harder than rock.  It also had some sort of concentrated fire...  No, concentrated light, it seemed.  Maybe...  An artificial being?  Yes!  It was the only solution that made sense!  Forascens had little doubt that it was somehow controlled from the inside by the two-legged beings he saw from before.  What an acomplishment!  To somehow refine rock, concentrate light, model these after the most very horrific beings, and use this to create a monumentaly effective fighting machine!  But to what end?  Surely  these beings were not simply fighting the pack for the sake of fighting itself.  They were so below the huge shining thing.  Perhaps they were razing the area for settlement?  Forascens wished this was true, but the huge noise, building in the distance, blotting out the horizon- told him otherwise.  They were simply pests to be dealt with before it began...  Forascens hoped he was just being paranoid after all the incredible things he had seen in the last twenty four hours.

After the legs of the robot were disabled, the machine fell and something ended up being launched from it. The roundish object flew off and landed at a human camp.

In victory, Arnold roared loudly throughout the land. Suddenly though, he heard something charging at his direction. It was another Entelodont his size. Arnold turned around to defend himself against the attacker. Arnold looked in shock as he realized that his opponent had a human riding on his back and there seemed to be a metal object clamped onto the pig's head. The human herself had one of the fire sticks and she shot Arnold with it. A few seconds later, Arnold was knocked unconcious and the human shot out a beam of light from a much larger fire stick. Arnold instantly dissapeared and the mounted human ran off back to the camp.

Leo watched the whole thing and his eyes widened in fear of what these two-legs could do. He looked to the human camp and it seemed to be guarded by other Entelodonts.

Callidus and her division watched with horror as their entelodont went down. Now Callidus herself was scared of man and she backed into another equally frightened old entelodont. When she whirled around to face what she'd bumped into she saw the old sow entelodont looking sadly at piglets in a cage the raptor who still had that key she'd used to set her sister free with her understood. Callidus thought that the key was some sort of magical object that opened locks. Since the entelodont 'chicks' were in a cage Callidus thought she could set the little ones free. The cage was unguarded so the raptor tried to open the cage and it wasn't the right key so she failed and darted away looking sadly at the old sow.

Soft Fur let out a soft mournful howl. With Soft Fur's kind howling was also the word for singing. So she was singing a song of little ones lost. A sad time for her kind. The sow made another attempt to break the cage and managed it. The piglets all squealed running under their mother's belly. The old sow looked at the division and loped off piglets in hoof. Soft Fur;s tail was going was wagging at this whole thing at the end part but remembered Arnold and whimpered.

Forascens watched with amazment.  Why, there seemed to be some sort of device plugged into the nueral center of the beasts, which caused them to do as the no scale-twolegs wished!  What an elegant solution, requiring very little resources, yet providing such a large amount of defense!  Ignoring the still building noise on the horizon, which was blotting out the sky, he proceeded to peek at a second one of the cages the carnivorous piglets were stored in (what, did you think they kept them all together?  They were ferouscious, non-related ones would probably eat each other before the mind controlers were implanted) Now, the devices may be an elegant solution, but that didn't mean it was moral.  Forascens decided that the mose ethical solution was to attempt to free more of the small child-beasts, before their will was commanded by outside forces.  He peeked at the lock.  It appeared to be a mechanism to temporarily keep to parts together, therefor creating a temprary enclosement, which could not be escaped, but yet could be opened for future use.  Perhaps?  He looked inside the large lock, and inspected the contents.  It seemed to be a open by a custom, well, stick, with a certain shape, which would move certain objects in certain directions when turned.  Having decided that a challenge of the sort would be a good mental excersize, he looked around for a stick of the right shape.  Ah, there was one!  He picked it up sideways in his mouth.  It was straight, only it suck up a little bit at the end.  He stuck in into the lock, moving it with minute motions of his head, while listening and watching. (his eyes are on the sides of his head)  As he attempted to move the last object, therefor opening the lock, when he saw the entelodonts, out of his other eye, had noticed him, and were closing in.  He hadn't been worried about them before, since he could easily take one, but there were at least six, as well as the fact that he was busy.  He just had to get this last one, because, after all, manipulation of such a complicated device was a much more rewarding acheivment than simply smashing it open.

In the human camp, Arnold woke up and noticed that he was in a cage. The Terminator Pig tried to bash through with his thick head and powerful jaws, but it wouldn't budge. Arnold roared as he tried to get himself freed. He then looked around and noticed many cages filled with other members of his kind. He widened his eyes in horror as he noticed that there were a mother and a bunch of piglets in cages right next to each other.

Meanwhile, Leo had just managed to take advantage of the thick vegetation to sneak into the camp past the guards. As he peered around, he noticed the same human that he watched taking Arnold away. She might have the item to unlock his allie's cage. The Gorgonops sat quietly and patiently until the woman got close enough to his hiding place to make his attack. Leo grabbed the unsuspecting human with his forearms and dragged her to the bushes to silence her quickly. The human managed to kick him at his side wound and he tried his best not to roar in pain.

Plot

Anomalies have opened up in various time periods and the various animals that time has forgotten have passed through these portals to find worlds that are new to them. Unfortunately, native animals are not going to give up their territory easily and would only allow the invaders in with their cold dead hands (or jaws, claws, hooves, etc.) To make things worse, humans are also passing through these portals for conquest. Whether you are an invader or a native, you must drive these two legs out of your realm.

History

Anomalies have appeared throughout the various time periods of Earth's prehistory. Because of this, creatures from these time periods are entering into eras that time has forbid them from going to. Because of these invaders, the native creatures are not too happy about this and have tried to do what they can to try to drive out the invaders. For some of these invaders, they are going through mass extinctions that are forcing them to migrate through time. For others, they are simply creatures in their prime that have been drawn in by pure curiosity. Whatever intentions the invading creatures have though, these invasions are causing ecosystems to collapse as both invaders and natives fight for supremacy. When it started to look like it couldn't get any worse, humans have arrived and are also taking their claims on the land.

Rules

-No Godmodding

-PG 13 You can have blood/gore, but not too much.

-Invading creatures cannot communicate with Natives and vice versa. Only creatures from the same time can communicate and can even negotiate despite predator/prey relationships.

-No matter what creature you are, you are going to have difficulty fighting against creatures that are ahead of (or behind) your own time. Because of this, you will likely get injured in such fights.

-You can have 3 characters. If a character dies, you can replace that character with a new one. These characters must also be from different times

-You must ask permission if you want to kill another player's character

-You can request playable species on the OOC.

-We will go through sort of a cycle for time periods that the characters go to. The first anomaly will take you to the Carboniferous. Each time period will be 15 posts which will result in another anomaly opening to the Early Permian. Then to the Late Permian, then to the Late Triassic and so on. If we managed to make it to the latest of the future time periods, we will end up going back to our own time periods to fight off invaders/humans. After that 10 posts, the cycle starts over again.

Note: Future Creatures won't be playable until the RP gets to the future. I allowed another spot for how many characters people can play so they can save up for the future creatures.
