Fronder wasn't really the insulting type. "Isn't that the same thing you said about Lanzia?" Fronder whispered back. "Well then again both Lanzia and Max can be a bit insulting and careless..." Fronder hated to admit that Vaan might be right about what he said. Bandit walked up to Max and sat in front of him. He used one of his front paws and waved it up and down as if to say hi. Bandit bowled happy to meet another new person.

Lanzia was on her feet, she looked down the dirtpath. "I wonder if we fed Vaan to the monsters they'd leave us alone." Nightmare ran over to Lanzia not liking this idea. "I'm just kidding Nightmare... but still..." Nightmare snorted and then happily ran over to Vaan.

Max looked down at Bandit with a 'what on earth is that 'face. To Max, Bandit was just an oversized street cat looking like a panter.' Meh....you are not that worse, maybe you are the only one who is not completly crazy' He patted Bandit shortly and turned to The rest. Vaan looked at Fronder suprised' A bit!?,They both hate me, Lanzia hated me from the first time that we met and now Max does........what if they join together and kill me?!' He started to Panic and hid behind Fronder keeping a eye on Max and lanzia. Max smiled falsly to Vaan who started to shiver. Eric ingored them and hoped they would leave him alone.

Fronder looked back at Vaan. "I'm sure they wouldn't do that, your going to be fine Vaan, I wouldn't let them do that." Fronder could tell that Vaan was scared stiff.

Lanzia looked at the path ahead. "Shouldn't we get moving?" Lanzia was beginning to get a bit impatient, she was tapping her foot waiting for someone to reply.

Bandit happily curled onto the ground like a cat would. He sat there curled up as he watched the group.

Yelphi was tired so he decided to stand on all fours. He walked over to Vaan and sat next to him. "What are you so worried about. All Max and Lanzia seem to me are two grumps who have nothing better to do in life. They're on our side so should we really fear them?"

Vaan laughed sheepish ' You are right, they are just two grumps who have nothing to do in life and they are both heartless' Eric turned abruptly and looked sternly at Vaan and raised a eyebrow' Did i just heard you saying something about being heartless?' Vaan shook his head and looked as innocent as possible' No, i wasn't talking about you, i was talking about Max and Lanzia and......* sees Max glaring angry at him* Nothing, never mind, i-i wasn't talking at all........' And he backed away slowly. Max glared at Vaan and made a gestured with his sword before started walking.' geez, what a big grump' Vaan tought Hiding behind Fronder again.

Fronder saw that Vaan was still scared and hiding behind him. He then looked at Idisis who was still uncontious. Fronder then turned to look at Vaan. "It's going to be fine Vaan. You don't have to worry about them, their just both a bit grumpy." Fronder turned around again this time speaking to Eric. "We should get going soon."

Yelphi yawned and looked at Idisis who was still uncontious. "Wow, I wonder how long it will be before he wakes up. He's been like that for awhile now hasn't he?"

Lanzia looked at the dirt path wondering what else might be in the forest they were in.

Vaan nodded:' I suppose so, but I still prefer to walk behind you ..... that is safer....i hope' Max looked at Yelphi :' You must be glad that he is still unconscious, if he is unconscious, he can not whine about something stupid, like that boy' Max pointed at Vaan hiding behind Fronder.' And i don't think there is enough room for him to hide behind Fronder' Max grinning. Eric nodded at Fronder and replied:' You're right, whe wasted enough time, i'm sure, the longer we stay here, the greater the change for us to get killed' He looked to see if everyone was ready to move on' let's go' Eric said taking the lead.

Fronder could tell Vaan was frightened of Max and Lanzia right now. When they were walking he let Vaan walk behind him. He looked at the trees around them, something didn't seem right, as they continued walking the trees branches began to look more and more wicked. He looked at one tree, for a second he thought he saw it turn it's trunk in his direction. He blinked, the tree was still in the position it had turned. He wondered if Vaan had seen the tree move too.

Yelphi walked not paying any attention to the trees. He noticed Fronder seemed a bit frightened. He wondered what Fronder could've seen that would've spooked him.

Vaan was following Fronder with shaky legs keeping an eye on Max who was walking before them with firm steps. He held his sword close to him. ' How could Eric be so calm.......oh right, he's heartless' Vaan thought staying close to Fronder like he was his guardian or something. He noticed that Fronder saw something that wasn't right so Vaan looked around. The only thing he saw where the big, scary trees. Vaan shidered and looked over Fronder's shouder, what was very hard because Fronder was much taller than Vaan. Max, Eric, Lanzia and Yelphi where walking there like they wheren't scared of anything, And nightmare was Walking next to Vaan saying some words he had learn today. Vaan thought of what his dad said to him before he died:' Who isn't smart must be strong' Vaan backed away when he saw a shadow move in the corner of his eye.  Vaan shook his head and followed Fronder again believing that what he saw was just an animal or something.

Fronder continued to look at the trees as they walked. The fact he had seen one of the trees move disturbed him. He thought he had seen one of the tree trunks move, he looked to his right, he could've sworn that tree wasn't in that position a second ago. He looked at the trees, some of them to him seemed to be moving. He couldn't have been hallucinating, he was positive these trees could move, but why didn't the others noticed? Maybe they were not bothering to look at the trees. He wondered if there was someone else who saw that there was something wrong with these trees.

Eric walked with firm steps in front of the rest, leading them. Even that he didn't know what way he just followed the long dirtpath. Max walked behind him glaring at the trees, Idisis was still unconscious, Yelphi and Bandit where walking like there was nothing to be afraid of and Vaan ofcourse whas still hiding behing Fronder. Eric was looking over his shoulder becouse he wanted to be sure that everyone followed him.

 

VAAN: Vaan was walking close to Fronder that he almost bumped into him. He looked around afraid ' I'm just hallucinating......i'm just hallucinating....trees can't move ' Then he saw a branch getting closer to him ' Fronder?' he whisperd' did you saw that?'

Out of the corner of his eye he had seen the branch move. At least he knew he couldn't have been hallucinating. "I'm afraid I did." As they continued to walk he spotted something that had disturbed him greatly. He saw under one of the tree trunks was the crushed carcass of a deer. Fronder now had a feeling he knew why he didn't see and live animals here... at all. He saw a bird land on a branch of one of the trees, the tree's branch seemed to grab the bird, the tree then pulled the bird closer sufficating it. He hoped Vaan had seen what he did. He now wanted to get out of the forest as soon as possible. He saw another tree branch move, these trees were definitely anything but normal.

Lanzia continued walking, she didn't even bother to take a look at the trees, or she'd see the many crushed skelotons under their branches.

Vaan almost hyperventilated of the stress and fear, he trembled and tried not to look at the skeletons of the animals or that poor dead bird but he failed. Max saw the skeletons of the animals and remarked, " There must be some big animals prowling around here.....i bet they have big teeth and sharp claws ready to tear apart their prey'  Vaan:0_0' if he only know that what he is talking about aren't animal'

Eric looked alarmed at the crushed skeletons' Max, don't you see it?' He asked and Max looked closer:' Well....their all crushed and......dead' Max started to think and frowned' Do you think that this isn't the work of a big animal?' Eric nodded' We have to be very careful.....stay away from the trees' he said.

Fronder was relieved that Eric had noticed that the trees were probably bad. He turned to look at the trees as they walked, he wondered if they'd attack them, he wasn't sure about anything with these trees.

Nightmare saw something shiny under one of the trees branches, he was curious so he walked over to see what the shiny object was. Fronder had seen Nightmare move closer to one of the trees, "Nightmare get back!" Nightmare looked at the shiny object, gasping to see the remains of what appeared to be human, the shiny object he had seen was a sword that had been stabbed into the tree. Nightmare backed away whining. Fronder looked at the skeleton Nightmare had seen, "Oh dear."

Vaan ran toward Nightmare to comfort him. He fell to his knees beside nightmare and said: " D-Don't worry, we're going to get out off this woods as fast as we can, nothing bad will happen to us'  Max frowned "I doubt that' Vaan ignored max and tried to cheer Nightmare up. Eric was standing with his sword in his hand and a heartless impatient look in his eyes' Are You guys ready? we need to hurry before it's get dark'  Vaan looked over his shoulder at Eric then back at Nightmare who was whining softly. ' Don't worry Nightmare, i'll protect you.....don't worry'

Lanzia looked at the skeleton Nightmare had found, she then looked at the trees. This forest looked oddly familiar, then she realized she had been here before. Her village, which was probably now nothing more than a pile of rubble, used to be by here. She remembered how the survivors of this forest had told her that the trees would move and attack living creatures. back then she was the only protector of her village, she had been sent to investigate this place before. She remembered this forest very well, she wished she had recognized this earlier, for this forest was cursed. "Don't touch the trees, and we might live... we should go, now." Lanzia knew these trees hated tresspassers, it acted more hostile when you'd touch them.

The young prince as been cursed so he doesn't feel anything.

and maybe the prince likes you.
