Strom clouds drifted over the bad wizard's castle who was hidden in the gloomy woods. Out one of the windows you could hear a angry voice yelling at Geldor kicking his wooden table:' WHAT.....THE DRAGON IS DEFEADED, IT CAN'T BE.....SO THAT LITTLE PEST OF AN NEPHEW IS STILL ALIVE?!!' Geldor who was hidding under the table nodded and said with fear in his voice:' B-but Eric is now deathly injured and so is that dwarf' The bad wizard shook his head ans said:' No, AN STUPID HEALER HEALED THEM.......I SWEAR I'M GOING TO KILL THEM ALL, INCLUDING ERIC'S PARENTS!' He kicked Geldor out and closed the door. But the bad wizard didn't know that behind the door Geldor smiled evil wispering to himselfh:' No you don't....i'm going to free Eric's Parents.....because master is so mean against Geldor....Geldor will take revenge against master'
Fronder sighed as he watched Nightmare beginning to wildly run in circles. Fronder looked at Nightmare who was beginning to pull at Idisis's gloves again. Fronder walked over to Nightmare looking at him. Nightmare let go of Idisis's glove, sat down, and gave an innocent look. "Good, now can you roll over?" Nighmare willingly rolled over with a smile on his face. "Beg?" Nightmare lifted his paws whining. Fronder had a small smile on his face. "Can you speak?" Nightmare stood on two legs and had opened his mouth. "Can I have a biscuit please, I really like biscuits, oh, also if we're going to this village I demand to be scratched first?" Fronder looked at everyone else who seemed shocked. Then he looked at Nightmare again. He pulled a biscuit and had rubbed his head like pepole usually do with dogs. Nightmare gave a pleased look to Fronder. "Thank you very much, I like you very much!"
'Look Vaan, so do you have to train Nightmare' Eric said amazed that Nightmare could speak. Vaan blinked his eyes in astonishment and forgot to breathe so he turned purple .Eric poked him on his forehead saying ' Vaan maybe it's better to breath oterwise you will choke' Vaan gasped for air and said:' How did you did that, it is so cool....can you teach me that to?!' 'What, that what Nightmare did or what Fronder did?' Eric said. FRONDER CAN YOU TEACH ME THAT PLEASE....I WANT LEARN HOW TO TRAIN NIGHTMARE!!' Vaan yelled without blinking his eyes jumping in the air.
Fronder sighed at Vaan who was jumping. He looked back at Nightmare who was rolling on the ground happily. "He's easy to train Vaan, these kinds of creatures are suppose to be very intelligent. He's still learning how to talk, he still doesnt know the names of animals or objects. All you have to do is say the word and point at the object or person it belongs to. You need to have a biscuit to help him learn a new trick besides talking." Fronder looked at Nightmare who was playing with a butterfly. Nightmare began pouncing at the butterfly almost knocking into Eric. Fronder looked at Nightmare who was about to run into Eric. "Nightmare no, sit." Nightmare sat down before he ran into Eric. He looked in Vaan's direction with his tongue lolling. Fronder looked at Eric who was looking at Nightmare. Nightmare walked over to Vaan with a smile on his face. "I like to learn!"
Prince Eric crossed his arms and looked quite angry at Nightmare and then at Vaan and then at Nightmare again."I swear that if he had run against me .... he does not survive 'Eric said as a threat to scare Nightmare so that he kept distance.'NO YOU NOT!!' Vaan yelled protecting Nightmare.' Yes i am' Eric said calm and challenging toward Vaan.' NO YOU NOT!!' Vaan repeated While stood before Nightmare.' Ok, i don't kill him.......but if he dares to go near me...'Vaan smiled and asked teasing:' Why are you so cranky....is there something that botters you?'Eric looked at him false and said ' No' Then he tapped impatiently him hand on his sword and asked slighty anoyed:' When are we going to leave, it's almost afternoon and otherwise we don't make it to the village before dark'
"Nightfall is pretty close, I think we should move out now." Idisis looked at the rest of the group waiting for a response. The rest of the group had begun walking, Idisis fallowed. They continued walking until they came to a lake. "We'll have to swim to get across, the other end isn't too far." Lanzia looked very nervously at the water. "Is there any other way, a bridge or a boat or something?" Idisis looked around, to Lanzia's relief there was a bridge. "Well I guess the bridge is better than swimming, don't you?" The rest of the group and Lanzia crossed the bridge. Lanzia continued looking down nervously at the water. Up ahead she could see the village.
Vaan looked longingly at the water,his steps Droned on the half-rotten wood of the bridge who was a bit shaky.' I'd love to dive in to the water' He said with disappointment in his voice. Prince Eric rolled with his eyes and said:' Ok, you go swimming in that green filty water full of fish,trash,dirt and maybe seamonsters' The expression on Vaan's face changed,He looked horrified at the dark green water.' I-i think i b-better walk...' He said when he saw a dark figure in the water just as big as Nightmare. Vaan ran over the bridge like there was something chasing him. Eric grinned and turned to Lanzia' Lanzia, why don't you like water?'
Lanzia continued looking down nervously down at the water. She heard Eric ask him a question, she sighed a bit annoyed. "There's two reasons, for one reason, I don't want to get wet." Lanzia looked down kicking a stone in the water, it seemed fairly deep. "Two, I can't swim." Lanzia continued looking nervously down at the water. Nightmare and Bandit walked next to Fronder with a happy expression on their face. Nightmare began bouncing on the bridge making it shake. Lanzia had a very worried expression on her face and turned angrily at Nightmare. "Stop it stupid lizard!" Nightmare stopped bouncing giving a very innocent look to Lanzia.
Vaan was at the other side of the bridge and yelled so Lanzia could hear him;' LANZIA, NIGHTMARE IS NOT A STUPID LIZARD, HE IS JUST A BIT PLAYFUL!!' Eric who had almost crossed the bridge said'' Says the one who runned like there was no tomorrow......you looked like a idiot when you runned in fear over the bridge' Vaan looked anoyed as Eric crossed the bridge and said insulted''Â I was not scared!' Eric smiled while he stept on the soft grass and said ' Why was you running like a idiot then?' Vaan laughend and said:' Because i'm a idiot' And he walked away with a big smile on his face.' He crazy' Eric said while the others crossed the bridge.
Lanzia gave a sigh of relief once she crossed the bridge, she looked back at the water. "That's a deep lake." Nightmare crossed the bridge with a very sad expression on his face. Nightmare walked over to Lanzia looking very sad, "I'm sorry, I was just playing." Lanzia looked down feeling a bit guilty. "It's OK Nightmare, your a good lizard. I was just a bit scared." Nightmare looked a bit happier and looked up to her. "Why were you scared?" Lanzia sighed giving the lake one last glance as the rest of the group began walking ahead. "Because, I can't swim." Lanzia sighed beginning to start walking again, Nightmare ran next to Vaan looking happier.
Vaan looked beside him and saw that Nightmare was walking next to him. Vaan patted Nightmare and looked over his shoulder. Eric was grumpy and paid no attention to Vaan who was looking at him inspecting Eric. Vaan noticed that something was bothering Eric. Vaan was wondering how Eric is with heart. Eric, how were you when you were not heartless?" Vaan asked carefully. Eric shrugged and said easygoing: "just like every other, Normal' Vaan stopped asking and looked at the horizon.They were 2 kilometers away from the city. It was a big town, Vaan could see. It is a prosperous village. in the distance Vaan saw a clock tower
Idisis looked ahead to see the town. It amazed him to see how big it was because he's never lived anywhere else but a village. The clocktower ahead looked amazing to him. It was massive, tall, and it had carefully designed architecture. As they came closer to the town he felt smaller and smaller. Some of the buildings were very huge, but none of the buildings hight came close to the clocktower's. He continued looking around, some buildings had gargoyle statues carved on top of the roofs. "I was never fond of gargoyles, even if these ones are just statues, their just as creepy." Idisis looked ahead making sure none of the group members accidentally wandered off. As they continued walking the buildings became more and more architecturally designed. "So where exactly does your friend live in this town?"
Eric scratched his blonde hair and closed his eyes. Like he had to think deeply to remember something. He opened his eyes and pointed to a large house at the end end of the street. Vaan whistled in admiration and asked, "What does his father do, managing a bank?' Eric shook his head and said:' No, his father has a toy store' Eric walked to the house and knocked on the giant blue door. A boy of Eric's age opened the door. He had short brown hair and brown eyes. Then a surprised smile appeared on his face.' ERIC, I HAPPY....YOU...HERE...MESURES À PRENDRE ICI( what are you doing here)......VENEZ AU( come in)' Luuk said shaking Eric's hand.'MERCI LUUK( thank you Luuk)...Quemoi d'expliquer( i will explain it to you)' Eric waved to the rest' come in'. They sat down on the couch,Large enough for 12 people. Eric began to tell, Luuk surprised opened his mouth.'Voici: Vaan, Fronder, Lanzia, Nightmare et Bandit, ils m'aident.( These are: Vaan, Fronder, Lanzia, Nightmare and Bandit, They are helping me)' Eric said pointing to the others.' I understand.....how i.....help you?' Luuk asked.'Vous savez tous ici ..... ce que vous pouvez demander autour de moi( You know everybody in this town could you please ask around for me?')'Luuk nodded and said, "oui, ....i will ask.....around'Eric turned to the group and said, "Luuk going to ask around if anyone knows something about the bad wizard' Eric turned back and asked Luuk " Peut-on dormir ici( can we spend the night here)?' Luuk nodded and said:'Aussi longtemps que vous voulez( stay so long as you want)'' merci' Eric said.
(I CAN'T TYP/SPEAK FRENCH VERY WELL SO I USED A TRANSLATER, BUT I DID MY BEST TO TRASELATE IT PERFECTLY....BUT I'M NOT SO GOOD AT IT)
Fronder was standing to keep Nightmare and Bandit away from the couch. If either of them so much as touch it they would immediately begin scratching and tearing the coushions. "That's good, saves us the time of walking around." Fronder had trouble keeping Nightmare back. Once Nightmare walked in the door his face lit up and he had begun trying to tear at the couch. "No Nightmare, back now. Bandit sit now!" Fronder had trouble keeping them calm and he had to now hold Bandit back by the scuff, he had to hold Nightmare back by holding his tail. Nightmare turned around giving Fronder an innocent hopeful glare. Bandit did the same only he used his paws to beg. "Nightmare, Bandit, sit now." Both of them sit feeling disapointed. "Bandit, Nightmare, say sorry. Nightmare grunted standing, "I'm sorry." Bandit looked a bit confused and bowled, "Rrwor." Fronder sighed looking at Bandit. "Close enough, now stay."
Eric was talking in French with Luuk, Fronder was busy with Nightmare and Bandit and Lanzia just sat on the couch doing nothing. Vaan was very bored. He did not understand what Eric was talking about with Luuk. Finnaly Luuk stood up and said: I go help father......shop' Eric nodded. 'n'hésitez de se promener,Mais pas dans la chambre de mon père, car il déteste quand les gens dans sa chambre( Feel free to walk around, but please not in my father's room, he hates people in his room)' Luuk disappeared through the door. Eric translated it for the rest:' We are allowed everywhere except the bedroom of his father, His father hates other people in his bedroom' Vaan blinked and asked:'From whom did you learn French' Eric shrugged and said:'learned From my teacher, Mr. Huckleberry' Vaan nodded and asked:' Do you think we may go out and explore the town?' Eric nodded and said:' Go ahead, but don't get lost' But Vaan was already gone.
