Jubilee was busy half-sleeping, keeping an eye open as her offspring jousted one another, not caring what would happen, sure, they knew what trouble was, but what to do when that happened...

she wished they could have more sense in things, but she wished she could be more happy-go-lucky, like them. it bugged her, really.

she pushed herself up, and nuzzled her two young ones before slowly heading out, sniffing around. Jubilee hoped that there would be a carcass, or a weak herbivore around.

----wait a second! she spotted a herd of iguanacolossus, and more importantly, an elder, weak one, limping around trying to get to a nice ripe patch of grass. jubilee crouched down between the bushes around her, letting the camouflage soak up her outline. poor unsuspecting creatures...she let out a brief roar, stunning most of the iguanacolossusses, some stood still, wich worked to her advantage, at the last minute, the elder iguanacolossus snapped out of it's trance and tried to run-but it was simply too late.

Jubilee let the dead animal go, and began feasting, as much as she could eat before a tryannosaurus rex could ever get here. but with it's superior sense of smell, would it find her?

Rylee walked through the forest trying to find a way to find another pack that would accept her. Rylee stopped and looked around sniffing the air 'What familar smell I smell', the feathers on her head stood up and her body became tense, and then a gust of wind kicked in and Rylee knew that smell, it was a kill. And so Rylee ran fast toward the smell hoping there is some left. As Rylee ran faster and faster hoping there was more left, until she got to the edge of the forest to the open meadow and stopped. She was where the smell had brought her, but a female Nanotyrannus with two babies were feasting on the dead Iguanacolosuss carcuss. Rylee didn't dare face this creature for she was bigger and had two babies. Rylee just watched hoping and waiting for the right chance, but Rylee did step out so she knew Rylee was there ready to feast on the carcuss as well. Rylee walked out of the forest head held low and her body postition was non-threatening, but she new not to take her eye off this mother, for then it maybe Rylee's last. Rylee also looked around maybe hoping there was a easier meal to take, and also watching out for the Tyrannasarus Rex, because those monsters are the ones everyone should fear. But still Rylee made her presence known, now shes hoping the wind will play her favor so the mother doesn't notice.

Jubilee was still busy eating, as she was a rather big carnivore, and she had babies to feed. as she looked up, shesaw that the igunacoloussus herd had completely flee in terror, but upon further look, she not only saw that...but a lone utahraptor, using a non-agressive pose. this predator could easily kill her offspring, as they were not as big as her, and almost as big as the utahraptor. she slowly turned her head to it, and made a few 'mock bites', snapping in the air to show that she had the upper hand...er...tooth, in this. as well as being more agile, swift, and bigger. in height and weight. she turned her attention back to the carcass and began feeding again, though, when she was done, she was determined on only one thing.

get this predator out, it could kill my young. she asserted her dominance by standing up as tall as she could go, again, making mock bites, and charging up at her opponent, hoping it would get a clearer message than just food, jubilee used her head to knock it out of the way, and roared as loud as she could, before leaving to her den, still keeping an eye on the carnivore. there was still some meat on the prey she killed, but would larger carnivores come? Jubilee was more worried about those, than a utahraptor....

it was strange, if the utahraptor had a pack, there would be no doubt that she would be finished.

Rylee stared at the 'mock bites' the female was making, but Rylee is smart and knows not to challenge this giant for she can kill, and Rylee doesn't want to die just yet. When the female charged and roared as loud as she could Rylee jumped out of the way and roared loud to, but distanced herself from getting hurt. Then Rylee felt vibrations in the earth and heard stomping. Rylee knew there was something bigger coming, and also more dangerous. The sounds were coming from the forest Rylee had exited from, so did something follow her? or did it also smell the carcuss and wants to feast as well. Rylee stared back at the female and noticed a wide gap between the female and her babies, and she knew she had a shot at getting to the baby. Rylee made a dash to the babies. The female roard loudly and ran after her in total anger.

Rylee got closer and closer, the babies hissed trying to defend themselves, but no use Rylee leaped in the air mouth open wide and claws ready to dig into the bodies. Rylee grabbed hold of one baby, but didn't have grip so she didn't make the kill, but she did seriously injure it on the side. Rylee was gonna try it again, but too late mother was too close and Rylee didn't want to risk getting hurt, so she ran.

Mother wasn't happy and came after Rylee, and then we both stopped, because the thumping and the vibrations stopped. We turned and saw a fully grown male Tyrannasarus Rex staring at the both of us. He had scars covering his entire body, and one eye was blind from a battle of some sort. Rylee turned and ran to nearby trees for cover, but kept an eye on the baby she had injured. Will Rylee finally get her shot of a feast? or will the two giants kill her as well?

Jubilee skidded to a stop, seeing a huge male tyrannosaurus rex in her path, right nex tot the carcass she left. she shifted her head to the side, careful to not make any noise, and she saw that the utahraptor next to her was no longer by her side!

jubilee came to the realization that, if the utahraptor had left, she could be after her babies again! she quickly-but quietly-ran back to the nest, seeing both of her two young ones, the one she had injured on the ground, it's mostly green body soaked with it's own blood. the poor thing could hardly get up. Jubilee nuzzled it, and licked it's wounds, and she let out a small 'purr' out of happiness when she saw her bloodstained offspring on the ground, her brother came to suggest playing with his sister, but when they looked up, they saw the huge t-rex, leisurely picking up and carrying what was left of the carcass back to it's nest.

Rylee watched the T-Rex leave carrying the carcuss in his mouth, back into the forest. Rylee followed the female and her babies back to their nest. The wind was playing on her part this time, so Rylee nesteled down into the thick brush and waited patienly, waiting, and hoping the mother would walk to get food for the little ones for the injured one can't walk, and is loosing blood. Rylee's stomache growled a little but it didn't fase her for she knew what she wanted. but something did come into sense, she was gonna kill a baby and take that away from the mother, like the T-Rex did to her family. But Rylee shook that away and continued to wait. Nightful came and then the mother got up, not wanting to leave, but has to feed her feed her babies as well. The mother walked off to search for food leaving two babies behind in the nest. Rylee watched the mother until she was fully gone. Rylee knowing that the moon is out her markings will show, but either way she made her move. The not injured baby woke up and cried really loud, so it was only time will tell when mom was coming back. Rylee made the death blow to the injured baby, and drug it away from the nest.

It was hard work but Rylee managed to drag the baby a good 100 yards away from the nest to where she was sleeping. Rylee had a good feast that night, but she couldn't sleep yet, because the blood trail was noticable and she was sure mom would follow it, so she went off in search for a new nesting spot.

well, okay....then.

when jubilee came back from her hunt, she was devastated to what she had come back to....her injured baby was gone, and her lone survivor was cowering in the bushes. she sniffed the blood trail left behind, and growled. if she left, she could find the utahraptor and stake her revenge, but that may mean the death of her last child. if she stayed, the utahraptor wouldn't get the message.

she decided to leave a message for the utahraptor, and then, when she found it again, she would either kill it or leave it so wounded that it would never forget her.

she raised her head, and roared loudly, hearing it resonate through her nest, and beyond..she hoped the utahraptor could hear it by now. Jubilee lowered her head, gathered her last young one, and slept next to it, and if anyone wanted to touch it, they'd have to go through her, first.

Rylee woke to hear a very loud cry. Rylee purred in some sort of laughter deep down in her throat. She knew she weeed the mom off, Rylee layed her head down and fell asleep. Rylee felt vibrations and heard stomping again. It was a small heard of Triceratoprs feeding under the moon lit sky. Rylee had her fill of food for one nigt, but she got up anyway and carried on to find water. It seemed like water was becoming scarse, but either way it must be found. She is also hoping the mother Nanotyrannus wouldn't follow her to a near by watering hole, for the loud roar she heard was for revenge, so this has Rylee on her toes making sure she doesn't come popping out of know where.

it was dawn and stll Rylee hasn't found any water, but has found a nest of T-Rex eggs, Rylee knew a real battle will begin. in the distance Rylee heard the male T-Rex scouting around making sure no one finds the eggs, so Rylee made a dash for the woods so he doesn't find her.

Jubilee woke up, seeing the world come to life again, the skies a rather nice blueish-pink color, colored with grey cloud, promising storms to come. Jubilee was happier to see her young one still alive. for today was the day.

the day her young one first takes his lessons on hunting. she nuzzled him awake, and they headed off, naturally, the female was cautious, and so was the baby, tucking under the mom so he could be safer. jubilee sniffed around, looking for a suitable prey for them to hunt...jubilee squinted, and saw a herd of gryposaurus, grazing near the local river. she led her offspring nearby the herd, and looked for vulnerable members, suitable for hunting practice back at the nest. a bay gryposaur was straying away from the herd, munching on a bush. jubilee hid in the trees, and her camouflage(and her offspring's) blended well, so she was almost right in front of it, since it was a young gryposaur, it knew trouble, but it didn't know how to react well, and when it saw her, it let out squeaks, shiverring with fear, but that locked it in place. jubilee quickly sealed her oppurtunity, and grabbed the baby, running back to her nest, and her baby sniffed the gryposaur, now on the ground, squirming. it got up and tried running, but jubilee's baby had tackled and wrestled it to the ground, and was feasting on it, since jubilee had her fill. she churred with delight as her young one was warming up quite nicely.

Rylee was running for her life. The male T-Rex sniffed her out and was after her. Rylee ran through the herd of Gryposaur's scaring them so it would make the male confused. It was also the same male that came through the trees when Rylee injured the young Nanotyrannus. And as she ran Rylee started to have a flashback of when her pack was attacked. She also remembers that the T-Rex was a strong scared up male that had a blind eye. This was the male that killed her pack long ago. She was mad, but more into saving her life then wanting to fight. After running the the herd Rylee came to a medium sized river. Deciding on what to do, Rylee jumped into the water and swam across. The T-Rex didn't dare go into the water so he roared and walked off. Rylee was pooped out. Now she was in completely new territory of a rival Utahraptor pack that her pack faced many times when she was young. Rylee knew she had to get out of the territory before they found out she was there.

Jubilee sniffed the air quietly, if her nest had been hunting ground for a utahraptor, that could mean that more could or would show up. she decided to move nests, or make a new one. This may save her last survivor. she quickly left her nest, beckoning her young one to follow.

together, they sought out a new are to call place home. she passed the water hole, she saw the utahraptor. the utahraptor who had killed one of hers. she glared the small carnivore down, baring her teeth, but she would not attack it, as she had her offspring with her, and if she charged, that would leave it vulnerable.

she walked off into the denser forest, maneuvering through the trees and the undergrowth. eventually, the two found a clearing, with a small tree in the middle. it's smelled of some sort of small carnivore, but the scent was long gone. slowly, her little guy curled up and dozed off, but the female decided to mark this area with her scent, that stated..

'keep out. or you'll wish you were never alive.'

It was too late the pack sniffed Rylee out and was now after her. Rylee knew their territory was not across the river, but Rylee ran upstream to cross it was rougher and she knew they wouldn't cross. Rylee jumped into the water and swam hard. the rival pack didn't cross like she knew they wouldn't. Rylee made it out of the water and kept on the move. She walked past a watering hole and into a dense forest and came up on the Nanotyrannus who was sleeping with her baby. Rylee stared at the sleeping pair and decided to leave a scent mark of her own. Rylee moved on in search of a den so she could get a full rest before her hunt for food.

Rylee walked for miles in the forest until she found a good looking den. By then it started to rain, and so Rylee went into the den and searched it out. Once it was all clear she curled up and fell asleep, waiting for a new day or new night to come so she could feed.

Jubilee woke from her sleep early, as the rain had woken her up..she was quite disappointed, as the rain was cold, but it would bring water and plenty of herbivores. her new den was working well, concealed in trees, rocks, and brush. it would be quite hard for anyone to find them.

she assumed too soon. her scent marks were replaced by that utahraptor...was it following her? for an easy meal to come by? jubilee re-marked the area, making it very pungent and clear. jubilee sniffed the air again, not smelling a utahraptor...but..

a male nanotyrannus, roaming in her territory, probably looking for her to see if she could court with him. he was quite near to her baby, so she let out a low warning growl, which drew his attention, and he rushed over, in a non-aggressive pose, looking jubilee over. jubilee quickly positioned herself over her baby, who was now awake, but lying motionless in case of a fight. the male tried to entice her, by 'dancing' slowly, but it wasn't working, and in a split second, he was on the ground due to the mother's angry charge.  the two tussled around a bit before the male left in frustration, he would probably be back when the baby grew up..jubilee didn't care about that now, as she had some scratches that she was trying to lick off before they would/could become infected. it was still pouring, and she decided it would be a good idea to keep watch, as she had gotten enough sleep for now.

Rylee woke up to hearing the scuffles from two miles away. She got up and headed back in same direction she came from this time ready to feed. Rylee came up on behind the mother and saw she was awake, so Rylee went around taking a long way. She finally came to a small herd of Iguanacolossus. She saw a small baby calf, and Rylee positioned herself for an anbush attack. Low to the ground Rylee watched the calf closely and focussed on how to execute the kill. Once ready Rylee leaped up and ran to the baby, and in a slipt second Rylee was on top of the baby and made the kill. Soon Rylee was feasting and satiffied that she doesn't have to scavenge anymore, then a smell came to her. The smell was of a male Utahraptor a lone one. Rylee turned around and saw the male, he was a light green coloring with yellow eyes. He looked strong and capable on handeling himself. He approached submissively closer to Rylee and all she could do was run to him and dance around in joy. She even squeaked a little. The two utaraptors ate together in peace.

The struggle
Setting

as a dinosaur you don't really care, as long as you can live.

for all you know, you're all just in one giant blob of land together, differant climates, plants...etc.

areas:

desert, tropical forest, forest, semi-desert, plains, semi-forest, full grasslands. hills.

Plot

You're a carnivorous or herbivorous dinosaur in the creataceous years...

everyday is a constant struggle for life, carnivores test the boundaries of eachother, whilst trying to keep the next generation-and themselves-alive.

History

history will be made up as we go.

Rules

1. general EX rules.

3. fighting is allowed, as dinosaurs did, but don't let it get too...bloody.

4. no curses.

5. your characters cannot talk, rely on body language and your epic literary skills.

6. your dinosaurs can be 'odd' colors, like blues and purples, but no rainbow dinosaurs/neon dinosaurs please(however awesome those are)

7. be realistic about your dinosaur. if your young/offspring/dino childrens stray off and into the wild, there's a slim chance of living. (about a 5% chance, anyone?) especially if it is injured!

8. baby dinosaurs stay with their mom and dad until they reach 2 years old, before that, they are not counted as actualy characters.

9. the age scale that you will type in is in years. human years, please.

i'd hate to find a dog age calculator xD

10. be realistic about friendships! it is unlikely that two large male carnivores will be buddies due to territorial competition! or a carnivore and an herbivore. Species don't usually befriend eachother, besides the offspring and the mother father bond thing. or if the dinosaurs befriending eachother are meant for packs, like utahraptors, dromaeosaurs, deinonychus, atrciraptors, etc., T-rexes are not going to form packs(if they did we'd be doomed!) besides a small family group that disbands when the young grow up.
