"Um... I was just going to say I have heard of a crystal cave," Fern said to the ankylosaurus, "I think it's somewhere up in the mountains..." She glanced over at the towering peaks in the distance. "I'm afraid I probably won't be much help to you... Well, actually... I don't want to boast, but.... er... I happen to be a LightWielder, so I can heal minor wounds, and make bright flashes, and cheer up others a bit, but that's it... I hear the power of Light used to be much stronger before the apocolypse, but now it's weak and almost useless... but if I'd still be able to help you at all, maybe we could be friends. I'm Fern, what's your name?"

For the moment, his attention was turned back to the Fabrosaur. He was still aware of the Allosaur, but the mentioning of the cave caught his interest immediately. He lowered his head closer to the Fabrosaur's level, tilting a bit as the tiny dinosaur mentioned the fact that she was a LightWielder. He gave a mildly fascinated huffing sound. First a SpaceBender, now a LightWielder? He couldn't help but notice that it seemed like an odd coincidence. He considered her silently a moment, then let out a thoughtful rumble.

"Well, I suppose I could use the company," he said. "Besides, you're just asking to get stepped on, the way you scamper around. The name's Titus, by the way." He lifted his head again and peered up at the distant mountains. They loomed beyond the sad foothills like the jagged teeth of a predator. He didn't like the look of them even remotely...but the sensation of the crystals called from there. He felt the undeniable tug at the back of his mind again. "Either way...I want to find that cave. I've never felt a pull like this one before..."

Mentor was trying to make up for lost time. He pushed himself as quickly as he could in an attempt to catch up with the group which by his reckoning was already at the meeting place.

"We're lost aren't we? Admit it! You haven't the foggyist notions of where we are or where we need to be going, do you?" Tharonyx rapid fired at Mentor.

"It doesn't matter, if we are lost, then they'll come looking for us. I'll just keep to direction they were travelling, we'll catch up, you'll see." Mentor said confidently.

"Right, they'll find our bleached bones scattered about this infernal wasteland." Tharonyx sucked up his despair. "I don't know why I continue to follow you."

"Because you need me, and I need..." Mentor stopped suddenly. He stood still for quite sometime, sensing, his jet black eyes trained directly ahead..."Now what is Deathclaw up to?"

"No good, is my guess. Naturally we'll have to find out won't we? Or have you already 'seen'..." Tharonyx found herself talking to herself, Mentor have resumed his forced march. "Hey...wait up!"

Guan yawned as he woke up in the cave. He had decided to use his Guanlong speed to catch up to his friends later, but when he woke he realized he was late. Cursing his bad luck, he got up and took a few bites out of a nearby carcass before transforming and thundering across the dead plains. He ran, the world blurring around him as he went faster than really necessary. Your first adventure, and you're late! He soon found Shinu and Deathgaurd's scent trail, and rushed after everyone. He was starting to get tired, but he knew he was close. He could smell Mentor now. Thank goodness T-Rex are fast!

Bolting into the middle of the group, he roared, panting. "I'm here! Sorry I'm late!"

Guan grinned. "I can fix that!" He sucked in a deep breath and roared, long and loud. It was a T-Rex battle-challenge roar, and sensible dinosaurs would stay far away. When he finally finished, he turned to them, looking like the cat who ate tha canary.

Busting at the seams with pride, he rumbled, "Will that work?" Without waiting for an answer, he continued, "Most dinos run way way away when I do that. They don't want to tangle with ME!" He cried, striking a pose. "Boom!" He grinned devilishly, then proceeded to run in circles around the group, bubbling over with excitement.

"What direction are we going in? How long will it take us to get there? What does the Crystal Thingy look like? Is it shiny? Will me see many dinosaurs?..."

On and on. It is clear that someone's gonna have to give him a chill pill.

Guan nuzzled Deathguard, murmuring, "Are you all right?"

Leaving Deathguard to recouperate, he turned to Shinu. "What were they, and why did they seem to know you?" He was in a defensive position, snarling at the top of the cliff where the vicious evil dinosaurs were.

"If they return, I call tearing into at least one of those creatures' throats. In Guanlong forme." That was his way of saying, 'personally'. He turned to the group, immediately realizing something was wrong. "Wait, shouldn't Galaxy be back? I thought I saw her fighting the raptors..." His eyes widened. "She isn't still up there, is she?!" He wailed.

At first, in the lovely and varied ancient continent of the dinosaurs, to after the apocalypse: a bleak and barren world, where the sky is dark with smog and the only thing that lights the night is the distant eruptions and wildfires.

Everyone knows the Meteor theory of how the dinosaurs died. This is set from just before to a while after. The Chosen are the few dinosaurs who survive the apocalypse, wielding their elemental powers to rebuild the world. The Chosen One will rise from The Chosen to be the one to wield all the elements. So says a prophecy older than the dinosaurs, scrawled on the walls of Crystal Cave--a cave high in the mountains, made purely of diamonds.

The elements:

Groundshaker--causes earthquakes at will, and can mold stone and dirt into any shape: pillars for protection, and even a house if they develop their powers. 0/2

Oceanweaver--uses the power of the ocean, and can perform the Water Cloak. That's where they enclose themselves and their friends is a whirling bubble of water. 0/2

Firebreather--wields the element of fire. Fire Shield (like Water Cloak, but with fire), Fire Blast, and Fire Breath. Fire Blast: summons fire in a large blast on the target. Fire Breath: Breathes fire upon target. 1/2

GrassWhistler--can manipulate the plants to do his/her will. Even can trap foes in a tree! 0/2

SpaceBender--manipulates space. When he/she does so, they typically warp an enemy or their friends and themselves. They can even put a space bubble around something, or slash through space and a foe, effectively killing the target. It's a very powerful role. 2/2

TimeWeaver--manipulates time. Can travel in time and see all the possible outcomes of something happening. Often seems very wise. 1/2

Crystal Master-- grows crystals imbued with special powers, such as the power to heal, poision, or simply wound. Crystals are sharp when broken. 1/2

ShadowDancer--manipulates the darkness. Can also cast illusions and play with people's minds. Stronger after the apocalypse. 2/2

Lightning Tamer--uses the power of lightningbolts to deal out damage. Can generate and electric field around themselves and their friends 0/2

CloudChaser--master of the atmosphere, can drain all the oxygen out of a room and control the weather. 0/2

Transformer--not an element. Guanlong-specific. Transforms into a mighty Tyrannosaurus Rex! 1/2

LightWielder--uses the power of light to blind foes, heal wounds, and make everyone happy. Stronger before the apocalypse. 1/2

The Chosen One--utelizes all the elements, but usually uses only one, like if the Chosen One was the Lightning Tamer, then they usually use electricity. NOT A CHOICE FOR CHARACTER! 0/1

You can still have names, but the title must become part of the name (on the form, you can write 'Darkness the ShadowDancer', not just 'Darkness'. Or, you could put 'ShadowDancer' in the character summary, i suppose...)

 

 

PLEASE DO NOTE that these dinosaurs are supposed to be very very special. I am limiting the amount of each to two. However, the abilities can be hereditary but must come from only one side of the family.

Some of the dinosaurs don't get along. Obviously, carnivores and herbivores don't like each other, and Tyrannosaurus Rexes are loner types--hostile and cold. The herbivores are gentle-natured, and omnivores are the mediators.

No serious gore, and keep it PG-PG13. No hogging the spotlight, and try to get along. I understand not everyone can be best friends, but still. If you have any problems, PM me.

Also, only control your character. I know the word limit is sometimes hard to meet, but please. People don't like that.

Plus, there is a posting order now that I've gotten left out a whole lot. Follow it as best you can!
