In the middle of a Carboniferous swamp, a strange looking creature was stalking through. Due to his tan coloring that would be more appropriate for his desert homeland in the Late Permian, Leo the Gorgonops could not seem to really hide himself. Every time he tried to catch a small reptile, they were able to run away from him quickly. Just as he continued, he noticed something up ahead. The creature was armor plated and had many legs. As Leo crouched down, he noticed that they creature was crawling towards him. The ten foot long centipede relative then reared up as it was about to strike. Trying not to be intimidated, the Gorgonops roared at the Arthropleura and showed off his canines. The Arthropleura didn't take the bluff and striked at the young Gorgonops, knocking him toward a large tree. Leo tried to get up to stand up against the centipede, but it quickly ran at and pinned him to the tree. Leo tried to bite down on his opponent, but it was too heavily armored. As the Arthropleura was about to throw him again, Leo struggled himself free and pinned it down. He bit at the head to try to make a killing blow. After he realized that he killed his opponent, the young Gorgonops looked around him and roared in victory. He looked to his left side and noticed that the combination of his opponent's bites and being knocked to the tree have made a wound.
Kara propelled herself across the sand, her eyes focused on one thing- lunch. It may have just been a lizard, but it was the only thing she had seen for a few days. She needed this. Her feathers flattened to her body, and she jumped at the lizard. Suddenly, the lizard disappeared over a small sand dune. Kara misjudged, being so focused that she never noticed the large slope on the other side. As she tumbled down, something flashed in her vision a few times. A light shone before her, and she flew straight into it. There was a feeling of weightlessness, then, there was the ground again. Wait- ground? The soft sand between her claws was gone. She wanted to get up immediately, but her sense told her to crouch and survey where she was. It wasn't everyday she felt solid ground beneath her. A slightly sour smell wafted towards her. She got up, and looked in front of her feet- the lizard was lying, stunned, on the first patch of green grass she had seen in months. She snapped it up in her jaws, crushed it's neck, dropped it to the ground and began to eat.
Leo realized that the wound seemed to be a bit bad and decided to find some place to rest. As he roamed around the swamp, the Gorgonops stopped every few minutes to mark on a nearby tree. After hours of searching, Leo realized that the whole entire area was almost nothing but water or soggy ground and was about to give up. When he looked around, he noticed a tree stump that was just large and flat enough for him to lie on. The exhausted beast walked over to the stump, relieved that he finally found somewhere to rest and lie down for the rest of the day. Finally after battling unfamiliar amphibians and arthropods, he can sleep. A sea-gull sized Meganeura flew over to him to try to feed off the wound, but he constantly swatted it away with his back leg. When the large dragonfly started to get annoying, he snapped at its wing, dissabling it. Leo thought to himself "I guess these insects never learn to let sleeping gorgonops lie."
Drehli turned her head and stared at the swampy water. This place was weird. Nothing like her home in the Late Jurassic. She shook her head and lifted on of her hind legs and shook the water from it. She contuied walking through the water and watched a Meganeura fly around her. She parted her mouth and let out a small little hiss then lunged forward snaping it into her jaws. She shook her head vialantly ripping the Meganeura's shell makeing sure it was dead. The taste wasnt good at all either as she ate part of it. She let the other half fall to the water and sook her head hissing again because of the taste. But It was better then nothing.
After taking his relaxing nap, Leo heard something in the distance. He looked around and noticed a large creature standing on two legs ripping apart one of the native insects. The young Gorgonops looked at the Allosaurus and roared loudly. He realized his mistake when he noticed that this creature was way larger than even creatures from his own time. Leo ran away to find somewhere to hide and maybe even wait to try to ambush the creature. As he ran through the swamp, he found a tree that was hollowed out at the bottom just large enough for him to hide. The Gorgonops hid in the darkness, ready to strike when his enemy comes.
Drehli lifted her head and turned it to watch this weird creature go running. She hesatated. It could be a trap. She snarled and shook her head then walked after it moveing silently through the water to best of her abilities. Her mouth parted alittle bit as she sniffed the air. The Creature was close. She scanned her surondings. Nothing. It screamed Trap. She stoped close to the hoolow tree. She sniffed the air again then stood her ground pulling up her lip in a silent snarl, her white teeth glimmering in the half light. He Liquid Gold eyes looked around for any movement to betray the other dinosaurs hideing spot.
Leo watched as the much larger creature tried to find him. He noticed the dinosaur's golden eye staring right at him seeming to be waiting for him to make his next move. The mammal-like reptile realized that he was backed in a corner and there is no way out except around the jaws of this beast that he has never encountered before. As he continued to stare, a small reptile ran in right underneath him. Leo could feel the critter crawling around with his whiskers as his eyes kept staring. When the lizard started to get annoying, he visciosly bit down upon it not remembering that he is still being hunted. When he realized his mistake, Leo locked his cat-like eyes on his opponent, ready to try to defend himself.

A human base camp has been constructed and are trying to take over the area. Proceed with Caution.

Kara's head shot up as a low growl echoed through the damp trees. It sounded deep, most likely a larger creature than her. She crept towards it as cautiously as she could, using tufts of grass to avoid sinking into pools of mud. Where there was grass, the land was generally more solid, she had discovered. She reached what must have been a clearing in comparison to the dense forest, and raised her head up to see a large, thick tail poised in the air. She followed it down until she reached the creature's massive body. That's huge! she thought, backing away behind some foilage. It seemed to be hunting a creature hidden in a hollow. A small squeak came from the hollow and she assumed it was hunting a lizard, until she smelled fresh blood. There was something in there that had killed a smaller creature. She hoped it was big enough to scavenge from if the larger reptile caught it.
Drehli let out a savage roar leaped forward but changed her attack and slammed into the tree hopeing to snap it and make it cave in. A crack rewarded her and she used one of her hind legs to kick and claw at it then she stuck her head in and snaped her jaws close infront of the creatures face then backed away snarling. She glared at the hollow tree waiting and watching to see if her new opponent would come out. She glared at the darkness waiting, for a move to make her attack. But a movement in the foliage confused her. Ambush. She backed away glareing at the Tree and looking around her. She let out another loud roar.
Leo kept himself back as the much larger creature attacked the tree he was in. When the creature tried to bite him, some of the teeth managed to graze his side right at his wound from his earlier encounter with the Arthropleura. This caused a sharp pain and he roared in agony. After his roar, he noticed that his opponent backed away as if it was aware of something. Knowing that it was now or never, Leo leaped out of his hiding place and ran through the forest to try to get away. As the panicked Gorgonops ran through the forest, he heard a strange yell saying "There's an animal coming!" Leo stopped in confusion and heard a bang to his left. He then heard something his a tree to his right. Leo looked to his right and noticed that the tree had been damaged. He looked to his left and witnessed a two legged creature with short black hair that had quite some muscle on its overall build and a camoflauge suit aiming at him with some sort of object. Behind this creature was another that was shorter, lightly built with long blonde hair and wearing khakis telling the first "Jack, we are trying to take these creatures for research, not kill them for sport."
Drehli fliped around and started ful speed after the creature that darted from the tree. Her padded feet made her soundless on the sqishy flooring of the Swamp. She let out a loud growl and slowed to a stop when she noticed the creature had stoped and was stearing at something to the left. She followed his gaze and saw two creatures standing upright like her almost and pointing something at the creature she was chaseing. Something told her bad, and something screamed at her to drive them away and help the other creature. She moved out into the open and let out a loud roar at the creatures darting from tree to tree and trying to stay away from the thing they held, hopeing it wasnt a weapon. She came around again and roared at them then disapeared again moveing around to come up behind them.

The humans were about to shoot Leo with a tranquilizer dart when they seen the Allosaurus run around them. Amazed and terrified at the same time, the female human said "What is an Allosaurus doing in the Carboniferous?" The male human replied "I don't care! We need to get out of here!" As the two humans ran away, Leo stared at his former opponent in confusion. When he looked back to the humans, he seen what appears to be a bunch of shelters made out of some sort of delicate material. He also smelled something that was strangely delicious to him. He also noticed that the Allosaurus was lying in wait to ambush these creatures. Leo roared at them and started chasing them towards the large animal. As the two humans continued running, the female noticed the golden yellow eyes of the Allosaurus and tried to yell to her friend to turn another direction, but he ignored her and continued running toward the cruel jaws of death.

Drehli bursted through the folige of the bushes and trees roaring at the ignorant human male. Her teeth snaped inishes from him to scare him. The Human screams of terror filled the air. He fell to the ground sqirming and backing up. She smiled in her own way amused by the creatures attemps to flee. She opened her jaws and snaped the small creature up in her teeth. The humans crys of terror turned to screams of pain. Drehli lashed back in forth in a cutting motion ripping through the creatures tender flesh. She then snaped down hard snaping the bones of the creature as if it was a twig. She droped half of the males body infront of the females and bared her teeth, which was now stained with the others blood.
The female human ran away from the large predator and managed to make it to the human base camp. Meanwhile, Leo was following the delicious strange scent he had smelled earlier. The smell took him to the side of the base camp where a male human with brown hair and wearing an apron was fixing up some pork. Leo crouched down and watched as the human grilled the pork chops, giving off an intoxicating smell that made Leo think that he died and went to some sort of afterlife. The Gorgonops kept licking his choppers as his cat-like eyes were locked on those good smelling pieces of pork.

Plot

Anomalies have opened up in various time periods and the various animals that time has forgotten have passed through these portals to find worlds that are new to them. Unfortunately, native animals are not going to give up their territory easily and would only allow the invaders in with their cold dead hands (or jaws, claws, hooves, etc.) To make things worse, humans are also passing through these portals for conquest. Whether you are an invader or a native, you must drive these two legs out of your realm.

History

Anomalies have appeared throughout the various time periods of Earth's prehistory. Because of this, creatures from these time periods are entering into eras that time has forbid them from going to. Because of these invaders, the native creatures are not too happy about this and have tried to do what they can to try to drive out the invaders. For some of these invaders, they are going through mass extinctions that are forcing them to migrate through time. For others, they are simply creatures in their prime that have been drawn in by pure curiosity. Whatever intentions the invading creatures have though, these invasions are causing ecosystems to collapse as both invaders and natives fight for supremacy. When it started to look like it couldn't get any worse, humans have arrived and are also taking their claims on the land.

Rules

-No Godmodding

-PG 13 You can have blood/gore, but not too much.

-Invading creatures cannot communicate with Natives and vice versa. Only creatures from the same time can communicate and can even negotiate despite predator/prey relationships.

-No matter what creature you are, you are going to have difficulty fighting against creatures that are ahead of (or behind) your own time. Because of this, you will likely get injured in such fights.

-You can have 3 characters. If a character dies, you can replace that character with a new one. These characters must also be from different times

-You must ask permission if you want to kill another player's character

-You can request playable species on the OOC.

-We will go through sort of a cycle for time periods that the characters go to. The first anomaly will take you to the Carboniferous. Each time period will be 15 posts which will result in another anomaly opening to the Early Permian. Then to the Late Permian, then to the Late Triassic and so on. If we managed to make it to the latest of the future time periods, we will end up going back to our own time periods to fight off invaders/humans. After that 10 posts, the cycle starts over again.

Note: Future Creatures won't be playable until the RP gets to the future. I allowed another spot for how many characters people can play so they can save up for the future creatures.
