Arran waited untill night when mostly everyone was asleep to sneak out and try to figure out where the helicopters were headed. He thought about what Sarah had said, but maybe she was wrong. Maybe they were survivors who were actualy friendly..but just to be safe Arran would keep his distance and avoid making contact with them unless absolutely neccessary. He wandered out and found the way passed the wall. Once he got to the other side he looked around. He reached into his backpack and found something he hadn't used in a long time that he had back when the outbreak first started, a pair of nightvision goggles. He turned them on and put them on and started walking. It wasn't long before he spotted one of the helicopters with a spotlight on flying over. Arran quickly ducked into cover behind a broken down truck nearby. The helicopter circled around a few times before flying off, and Arran followed. It wasn't long before he came across a large building, some sort of compound with a large fence around it and a large gate. The fence appeared to be electrified, and it seemed to have guard towers with search lights at ever corner "What the.." Arran ducked into cover as one of the lights was aimed toward him, whoever was in the tower didn't seem to notice him
Sarah had followed Arran to watch him on Fox's orders. She was watching him hiding in the bushes. She smelled weapons and that was making her nervous. This time she had bothered to make her eyes normal so she was indistinguishable from a mundane fox. She was also keeping the normal distance and had the normal red black and white markings. She didn't stay long and left him to his fate. He might be found and tourtured about them. Everyone when she got back was on high alert. Fox took full human form and told Sarah to do the same. Dens and shelters were made to look like just mounds of dirt. Everyone who could shift scattered and those that couldn't were hidden. It looked like a man and his wife who were trying to survive out here and hide from the undead. Nothing raid worthy and it was well hidden to begin with.
Arran looked out from his cover as he heard something and spotted several runners moving toward the fence, but they were pushed back by the fence itself and the guards on the watchtowers. Arran kept his distance, unsure of what they would do if they spotted him, and that was when he saw two survivors, one limping while the other tried to help him move toward the fence. He saw the guards on the tower aim their lights at them. He could hear shouting, but he couldn't quite make out what they were saying. He watched one of the survivors try to move closer to the fence, but there was soon gunfire and he saw the man fall to the ground screaming and holding his leg. "Oh sh--." Arran ducked down a bit more as a couple of guards opened the fence and walked out toward the two survivors, guns aimed. Arran wanted to help but he wouldn't stand a chance by himself. He got up and started to move quietly back toward the shapeshifter camp. He stopped for a moment when he heard two gunshots, he looked back, but soon kept going.

Sarah was one of the two human forms running around in the open the other was Fox or Adam as he was being called. She was running around as Eve. They were pretending to be husband and wife and crazy people who thought they'd go back to the beginning and 'repopulate' the world. The kids were running around doing chores. Sarah had a bulge of pillows simulating a big pregnant belly. It was something Sarah for some odd reason couldn't use her shapeshifting to create the appearance of. It was a convincing ruse or so they hoped. They were praying that if there were raiders they wouldn't run off with the kids.

Arran sighed as he returned to the camp and to where he was staying. He sat down and set his stuff down, he leaned back and closed his eyes for a moment. He felt bad for not helping those people, the survivors who tried to approach that building, stronghold, whatever it was. But if he had tried he would have likely shared the same fate. Whoever those people were they weren't friendly.
Sarah saw everyone come back... She realized how precarious their exsistance was. One wrong move and everyone would pay. The more they prospered the more their exsistance was jepordized. Moving to a place more favorable to agraculture wasn't really an option. Sarah said "Fox the more we try to prosper the more likely it is that we're found." "We just have to be careful. Besides if we outnumber the humans we might stand a chance." "So you're trying to play the numbers game. Why haven't you started trying to acelerate procration?" "Because one should not force someone who does not want children to have them. We aren't savages. But if you want children I'll be happy to oblige you."
Arran sighed, trying to remember what else he saw at that place..there was a prison bus, two of them actualy, parked outside. The place didn't look like a prison. Maybe it was, maybe this group of survivors, or raiders, whoever they were, found the place and took it over and were using it as their 'camp'. Maybe Sarah was right on who they were. He didn't see the helicopters he had spotted earlier that day but maybe they were kept hidden away. His mind soon wandered back to the prison buses. He had heard how after the outbreak some survivor camps were raided. Most people there were killed but some were taken away and usualy never seen again..Arran shuddered a bit at that thought. He didn't really want to know what happend to them
Sarah for one wasn't worried for herself when it came to slavers. The kids and pregnant women couldn't shift to escape however. If it came to them getting away and her getting captured... She'd escape in a couple minutes tops so she'd let them take her. Seriously when you could turn into a small animal and slip through something or scare the crud out of your captors being taken alive only happened to the stupid or compromised shape shifters. Bringing life into the world wasn't stupid but the timing was bad. In safer times Sarah might have children of her own. Fox wanted to out breed the humans, Sarah thought that if there were humans living among their group they might have human advocates to help stave off the hunters.

Arran was startled awake from where he was sleeping by shouting from outside. He grabbed his stuff and moved to see what was going on. He saw people gathered near the entrance to the camp where a man limped toward them carrying another survivor in his arms.

"Please.." the man called out "My wife, she needs help." he kept limping toward them.

Arran blinked, keeping a hand on his holstered pistol "Are either of you bit?" He called out. Both of them were in bad shape, but he couldn't see any bites, There was no answer at first "Hey, I asked you a question, were either of you bitten?"

"M-My wife..she was attacked by one of those things when we were trying to get away from our old camp. Some other crazy people came in and killed most of the others. You have to do something for her." the man pleaded.

Sarah caught this and shiffed out the bite. On the left arm. there was a touriquit in the form of a belt cutting off circulation. Sarah removed the arm with a scythe like claw and burned it shut with some sort of acid... She said "It's a gamble at best." Dragon put the woman in with their 'safe' zombie as a safety measure for everyone else. The zombie was missing fingers, jaws, and teeth. It couldn't grab or bite. Needless to say that woman was terrified. Based on the zombie's interest in her she wasn't infected or he couldn't sense it. Dragon tied a rope around him to keep him back. "Well if she turns we'll put her to use. Come on Mr. We'll patch you up." Dragon led the man off.

Arran passed by where the male survivor had been staying after he arrived at the camp. The man was mumbling about something Arran couldn't quite make out. "Hey, what are you saying?" Arran asked and stepped over closer to him.

"Nothing.." the man said, leaning back a bit "You people wont help me..I know you wont."

"Why not?" Arran asked. He wasn't quite sure what he meant, but he wanted to find out. "..You said your camp was attacked by another group of survivors..most of the other people there were killed but..how many are left? What happend to them?"

"At least 4..my daughter and a few others.." the man looked up at Arran as he explained "They were taken away. Dragged out of their tents and hauled into some sort of prison bus..I don't know where they were taking them.."

Arran blinked, before looking around a moment "I..think I know where they were taken..I cant make any promises but..maybe we can help you."

Sarah heard this. The woman in the pen had not turned and she was in with the actual doctor getting some touch up on her stump. She was talking about how they had her daughter. Sara's face went grim. Slavers... Women in particular were more 'desireable' for the slave trade. Sarah could still smell what was most likely her daughter. Sarah might be able to bust those people out if she could get a scent. But if she thought she was in particular danger she wasn't about to risk it. Fox heard about this and started trying to get volunteers to go check it out... Went right past Arran talking about it with Dragon...

Arran looked at the man before standing up "Hold on." he started to follow Sarah "Hey Sarah, listen. If someones going to try and get those people out, I'm going too. Getting tired of sitting here and not really doing anything." Also, he thought, if these were the same people with the helicopters from earlier, maybe he could take one and use it to go looking for his family. He didn't really want to leave these people, they were kind of growing on him, but he needed to find out if his family was still alive or not

Sarah said "We shapeshifters were built for this kind of thing actually. Slipping past security systems isn't a problem. Pick a lock with a claw, trick a retna scan, fake a print even break through something. You must be looking for someone. If you have their scent I can help and probably cover more ground than you ever could. Even with motor transport. Those run out of fuel, I can just eat some plant or animal matter to keep going." Sarah sighed "I've always been a bit of a hunter, I'm a good tracker and stealthy. I also never forget a smell. Give me a scent and a general area and I'll find what you're looking for. I'd rather leave you behind but if you insist on this kind of thing go talk to Fox. But I doubt he'll let you go off because you'd be too easily captured and contained."
"I'm just saying, you coulr probably use some extra help. These people are dangerous, and who knows how many of them are in there. Things could easily go wrong." Arran said, looking at Sarah "I know you shapeshifters can fight, thats obvious, but.." He wasn't quite sure what to say at that point. Whoever these people were they were, if any of them were left alive, they'd come back for revenge. There were people, kids here that the shapeshifters had to protect. if there was anything Arran understood about his new..friends it was that. And he could respect that. He was very protective of his own family..well..when he was still with them

Aftermath (Zombie appocalypse survival RP)
Setting

The year is 2026. Abbandoned cities and towns, some having been bombed by the military when things started. Sewers and underground tunnels and shelters and other areas.

Plot

You're one of the few survivors of a outbreak that killed most human life on Earth. Its been 12 years since it happend, and some have tried to rebuild the lives they once had before the outbreak, but have failed horribly. Cities and towns are left abbandoned, the military almost non-existant aside from a few outposts and bases scattered around the world. Few remaining scientists continue to try and find a cure to the disease, but all attempts have failed. The problem is that whatever it is, when it kills you, you don't stay dead. The virus turns you into a mindless monster, only wanting to feast on human flesh (And these aren't the slow zombies you usualy see either. These are the fast ones. Really fast). You must find survivors (Other players included), find shelter, find weapons, do whatever you can to survive.

History

With all the dinosaur related RP's I've started here, wanted to do something a bit different so..here we are.

Rules

*No killing other players unless they allow it.

*Don't get too graphic in killing the zombies. Or other people (Not exactly players unless..well refer to the first rule for this, but other survivors your character might meet)

*Just a note on the "Shapeshifter" species I added. This was something that came along after the initial outbreak happend. Years after everything went down, some survivors developed this ability for unknown reasons. One theory from scientists being the virus has a strange effect on some people. Not quite turning them into zombies but mutating them and giving them certain abilities in other ways.
