"I'm not sure but ok!"

He goes outside and starts shooting as many zombies as posible. He doesn't have time to refill ammo so he drops his gun and grabs his bat from his bag and swings at the zombies and picks up his gun again, he then runs out of the horde and refills his ammo.

"Get outta there!" he yells as he shoots some of the zombies, being careful not to shoot the survivor.

"Don't worry i am shooting some zombies to help you from here, come to where i am but careful of my bulelts i don't want to shoot you!"

Sarah made it deep into the wilds and found nobody. So she took human form and checked her gear. She pulled out her grandfather's dog tags and sighed "Gramps I miss you so much." Then she heard some rustling. Since there was no moan she assumed it was human animal or shapeshifter. She loaded up her crossbow looking around warily. A male shapeshifter in dragon form entered the clearing and he was laughing. "Put that dumb thing away woman! Why you cling to human weapons when you have teeth and claws I do not know." Sarah said "Easy because you can kill zombies from a distance if you need to." "You are in my territory woman you do not need to lift a claw. You are the first female I have seen? Have you any sisters or a pack?" "No only child and I am just passing through to find my own patch." "An abititious little thing. But why would you fight when I can take care of everything for you... in exchange for certain things of course." "I am not that easy. I'll be going now." She took a much faster form and bolted leaving that shape shifter's patch before he could stop her. What. A. Creep.
Carl struggles to get to the other survivorand ecides to crouch and let the survivor shoot over him. "I'm coming!" he yells. When he evntually reaches the survivor there aren't many zombies left. He tells the survivor to run and they run to the stairs. they head down and try to flee the zombies, but however, the zombies are just too fast! he takes out his knife and starts slicing them while the other survivor Hits them with a wooden baseball bat. Eventually the zombies are finally dead, the two survivors head out of the building and flee into another. Carl barricades the door while the other survivor schouts the building for infected, he finds none. "we'll be safe here for now" says Carl, "My name is Carl, I used to be a sniper but left the army during the outbreak. I set up camp in the forest and just returned to the city today, you're lucky I found you. Do you know what year it is, I lost track of time. Also what is your name? and are you wounded?".

"I'm fine thanks. My name is steve, I used to go hiking all the time. My little sister got infected by this and i fled my home because of it. I need to see if we can cure her, i can't kill her!" he explains.

"Hey by any chance are you hungry or thristy? I have plenty of food and water in this bag, since I was planning to go on a hike the next day anyways, before the incident happened. Always good to be prepared!"

"He took out a bottle of water and drank a few sips" Just don't waste it, who knows when we will get more supplies? I have more bottles if you want"

Arran sighed, moving a bit as he saw more and more zombies rushing at his vehicle, he gripped his knife and stabbed one in the head as it tried to grab him through the all ready broken window, turning to see one smash through the other one on the other side of the car "S----!" He turned to try and start the truck again, again and again untill it finnaly worked. He backed up quickly, running over several zombies, before turning to take off as fast as he could, trying not to let the crate of weapons fall from the back of the truck.

"nice to meet you Steve, it's great to finally see a friendly face after so long." Says Carl. "I don't need any food or drinks right now, and I also have some of my own, I could however really use some rest, I walked over 10 miles today to get to the city and after that, well, you know what happened. I'm exhausted."

Carl puts his stuff down and looks  for a place to sleep. For full safety he unloads his gun and then tries to go to sleep on a ripped couch. "ahh, I've missed a soft place to sleep" He says and then falls asleep.

Sarah could fly freely now without fear of being shot at. She took the form of a wolf and loped about more confidently even howling. Then she got a response from the local pack and took to the air in dragon form again. She did not want to shoot wolves. Sarah was getting farther and farther away from NYC and she felt more confident with every mile she put behind her. Until another shapeshifter started chasing her this one was female. Sarah made it absolutely clear she was not challenging just passing and the other larger shapeshifter just saw her off. There went any ideas of forming a colony of shapeshifters somewhere... Then again there could be an exsisting group out there somewhere...

Steve packs his things back in the bag, leaving his bat out. He double chcks the door is secure and then curls up on the floor as there is nothing else to sleep on.

He then remembers he has a sleeping bag that he planned to use for his long hiking trip. He takes it from his bag and sets it up, he then closes the backpack and gets into his sleeping bag.

"I need some sleep too, it's ok if we both sleep right? The door is secure, not like the zombies can get in!" he explains, forgetting that other humans could get in.

Arran kept driving. And this time he didn't stop. He didn't need to return to the apartment building he was using as a camp, he didn't leave anything there that he really needed. He just wanted to get out of the city. He swerved a bit around abbandoned cars that littered the street. "This would have been easier with the chopper.." he thought to himself as he drove out of the city. Not really sure of where he was going next. He sighed, looking at something on the dashboard..something he hadn't really noticed in a long time. He picked up the small picture, and sighed. It was of his wife and daughter. They were in Washington DC at the time of the outbreak and when he was sent to NYC to help with the evacuations. He heard that DC had suffered a huge blow during the outbreak. The president was dead, over half the population in the area were dead or were part of the walking dead, and very few survivors were evacuated. Arran wasn't sure if his family was still alive..he hadn't heard from them in so long.."I miss you both..so much.." he said to himself as he sighed, setting the picture back down where he could see it better.
Sarah actually found a group of shapeshifters in a national park. They had set up a village and her human technology was considered very valuable. There was one problem they didn't wear clothes they had given themselves fur or feathers. Only children who couldn't do that wore clothes. Sarah decided to stay for a while. They had given themselves other names. The leader of the group was called Fox for his favored secondary form and normal vulpine features. Sarah copied him but left some areas covered in well insulated black skin same color as her fur so that her fur would not tangle her equipment. There was even an old archery shop with the equipment not too far. Sarah had been dubbed Skin Hands. She insisted on being called Sarah though. Her swiss army knife they wanted to take for some reason but she explained Gramps to them and they let her keep it. The spare she noticed was given to Fox who lent out such items and seemed to just be keeping tabs on it. He inquired politely about the dog tags thinking they were a trophy of some sort. "No they belonged to my grandfather too. He and my grandmother encouraged me growing up. My parents would have had me bear them grandchildren by some 'nice normal boy'." "And yet you mistrust military men. If you had shown them that they might have been more accepting of you." "No most of them were under orders to treat shapeshifters as infected." "I see. If military individuals show up here would you welcome them?" "If they came in peace yes I'd welcome any human." "That is good Skin hands." "If you won't call me Sarah can you call me Crossbow or something? It's the reason I have skin hands." "No your name is Skin hands unless you'd like to go by a scent name which would be Rose." "Rose sounds nice..."

Arran drove out of the city and just kept going. He wasn't really sure where he was heading. DC, maybe, to see if his family was alive but even if they were he couldn't be sure if they were still there. His wife was smart. If she had a way she would have gotten herself and their daughter out of the city and gotten somewhere more safe..if there was such a thing. Arran looked down at a map for a moment, and when he looked up his eyes went wide as he almost crashed into a roadblock that was set up in front of him, he swerved to move his truck out of the way and stopped "What in the.." it appeared to be a large wall with a couple of guard towers set up, strething further passed the road then Arran could see from where he was. He figured that the military set this up..though why he wasn't informed of it he wasn't sure..maybe after they figured trying to get everyone evacuated was hopeless they set up barriers around the city to prevent the infected from getting out..that obviously didn't work as planned. The infection has all ready spread across the world. Not just the U.S., everywhere. Arran got out of his truck and approached the wall, trying to find a way over it, or a way to get around "Hmm.." he suddenly froze as he heard footsteps, and then felt the barrel of a gun press against the back of his head.

"Set the weapon down." he heard a female voice say, as he heard more footsteps approached, he looked around to see more people carrying automatic weapons approach, aimed at him

"Look," arran said "I don't want any trouble. I'm just trying to survive. Just like I'm sure you all are."

"I said put your guns down." the woman said, and arran complied with a small sigh. Setting his pistol and his rifle down on the ground. "What you got in the crate on back of your truck there?"

"None of your business." Arran said, and immediatly regretted it as he was punched in the back and pushed against the wall, the womans gun still pressed against his head "Just let me go..and I wont come back here." he looked back as he heard the others approach his truck and open the doors, searching through his stuff. He saw one of them take the picture of his family "Hey! Put that down!"

So Sarah was now Rose because she smelled like them to Fox. She was keeping an eye out for trouble. Then she saw that territorial male from before. Fox was with her and snarled "What do you want?" The large dragon purred "A woman." Fox barked laughing. "Like we'd give a savage like you one of our women! These women and girls want to be here. We are not going to give one of them to you like they were property." Sarah had drawn her crossbow and had it aimed at his eye. Shapeshifters could recover from any injury that was not instantly fatal. Sarah had never taken that chance but she knew her crossbow was powerful enough to go into this savage's brain case without problem. She could have aimed for the temple but the eye was a good thing to aim for. The dragon decided to slink off and Sarah said "I ran into another female along the way here." The dragon growled and said "She is not compliant to my wishes." Sarah said "Neither am I." The dragon said to Fox. "I was not going to take an unwilling woman. I am not a monster." Fox said "I will ask but if the woman wishes to return to us you will allow it correct?" "I will give her no reason to leave but yes she will be able to return to you." "Then our business is finished for now." Sarah was expecting a fight but she was happy there wasn't one.

Arran looked back a bit as the woman searched his pockets, pulling out his wallet. She checked his ID and stepped back a bit "Arran?" she asked, curiously "Damn..its been a long time."

He blinked and turned back "Wait..you know me?" he turned around and blinked, immediatly noticing the military uniform she was wearing. "..Private-

She laughed and interupted him "Please, just call me Alina. Didn't think there were anymore of our guys still in the city. Thought I was the only one left behind when they pulled out..guess not."

Arran blinked and looked at the other armed men as they stepped away from his truck. "Who are they?"

Alina looked back at them, then to Arran "A group I ran into after everything went down. Survived a few months on my own untill I was cornered by a horde of those things. They came in and saved me before I ended up as lunch..or worse turned into one of the runners."

"Runners?" Arran asked "Thats what you call them? Makes sense I guess. Just reminds me of..eh, never mind." he scratched his head "So..have you gotten over the wall?"

Alina looked up at the wall they still stood in front of "Yeah. Havn't gone too far away from the city though. Things are bad everywhere. The armys attempt to contain the infected people in New York didn't exactly help when pretty much the whole world is infested with these things.." she paused for a moment "Heard from your family?"

Arran sighed "No..not since everything started. I was thinking of heading to DC, look for them there..if they're still alive."

"I wouldn't." Alina said "Heard DC was pretty much leveled from bombing runs by the army after evacuating the president failed and he was killed. Anyone still in the city has to be dead. No way anyone could have survived. If they're still alive, they wont be in DC."

Sarah was working with a group of other shapeshifters scouring the landscape for livestock. Alpaca and sheep for their fleece llamas to guard them, cattle and goats for meat and milk, and chickens or even domestic ducks for eggs feathers and again meat. The shapeshifters were bulding a civilization of their own. Sarah had suggested they relocate to an area more suited to agriculture. But not until next spring when they could count on the weather being more favorable. Fox was considering the idea but they were after livestock. They found a stray herd of cattle and flock of chickens. The group managed to get them back and secured. It had been hard work but well worth it. The former military might try to take it all away though and kill them all off. Just because they were shapeshifters...

Arran went back to his truck and checked the crate on the back when he heard Alina whistle, and the sound of another vehicle approaching. He looked to see a beat up military humvee with a large heavy machine gun mounted on top pull up, and two more men step out and talk to Alina for a moment. Arran looked back to the crate for a moment, leaving it alone for now "Nice ride."

"Yep. When the army pulled out they left some things behind. Not many vehicles aside from this one, though." Alina said "At least it works. The machine gun works well with taking out large groups of runners. We're a bit low on ammo though so we try not to use it too much. We have a camp nearby. You should stay with us for a while. Its gonna be dark soon and..well you should know as well as we do by now that being out at night isn't a good idea." She said as she hopped into one of the backseets of the vehicle.

Arran nodded and walked over, getting into the seat next to her as the others got in and they started moving

"You can get your truck later. The runners should leave it alone. When you're ready to move out passed the wall theres a gate big enough for vehicles to get through not far from here." Alina explained. "Oh, and you might want these back." she smiled and handed him his pistol and his rifle.

Aftermath (Zombie appocalypse survival RP)
Setting

The year is 2026. Abbandoned cities and towns, some having been bombed by the military when things started. Sewers and underground tunnels and shelters and other areas.

Plot

You're one of the few survivors of a outbreak that killed most human life on Earth. Its been 12 years since it happend, and some have tried to rebuild the lives they once had before the outbreak, but have failed horribly. Cities and towns are left abbandoned, the military almost non-existant aside from a few outposts and bases scattered around the world. Few remaining scientists continue to try and find a cure to the disease, but all attempts have failed. The problem is that whatever it is, when it kills you, you don't stay dead. The virus turns you into a mindless monster, only wanting to feast on human flesh (And these aren't the slow zombies you usualy see either. These are the fast ones. Really fast). You must find survivors (Other players included), find shelter, find weapons, do whatever you can to survive.

History

With all the dinosaur related RP's I've started here, wanted to do something a bit different so..here we are.

Rules

*No killing other players unless they allow it.

*Don't get too graphic in killing the zombies. Or other people (Not exactly players unless..well refer to the first rule for this, but other survivors your character might meet)

*Just a note on the "Shapeshifter" species I added. This was something that came along after the initial outbreak happend. Years after everything went down, some survivors developed this ability for unknown reasons. One theory from scientists being the virus has a strange effect on some people. Not quite turning them into zombies but mutating them and giving them certain abilities in other ways.
