Kin heard Itachi answer the door and when asked "Leader? He is usually doing rounds right now. Wait at the main building for him." Then Itachi came back to where Kin was rubbing lotion into her hands at the behest of her sister to soothe the chemical irritation from the cleaning products. Mai said "You should really wear gloves. I know you use proper ventilation." "I'd need more gloves, and I can't go borrowing your rubber gloves... Those are medical supplies." "I know. Now that lotion will soothe your hands and make them nice and soft. I'd reccomend you use it everywhere for soft smooth skin." Itachi announced "It's my turn to do patrols Kin. I'd like mediterrainian for dinner tonight." "Of course Itachi." Itachi left and Kin finished with the lotion before cooking dinner. She lost herself in her art and made a delicious meal for her employer. She and her sister were saving up enough to immegrate to Hawaii legally and they were well on their way to earning enough.

Up on the counter... look around, jump down, sprint behind the couch. Hold really still for one, two three four minutes. Peek up. Sprint back and jump on the counter. 

Repeat eight times. The go sleep in the linen closet. 

Drag bedsheets down... arange in circle. Do the cat circling thing. Sleep for half an hour. 

Go to kitchen. Find apple. Jump on the counter, push apple out of food bowl. Knock it around with your face fou twenty minutes before eating it violently. 

Take the core outside and bury it. Worry about wing. 

Go back in side. Jump on counter. Look around. 

Repeat.

Such was the life of a dragon.

When Itachi got back he had a puppy... no a fox cub. Kin cooed and cuddled it. Mai looked at him and said "Where did you find that?" "Outside. Rest of the skulk was torn apart by wolves or something figured Kin could use a pet." Mai said "Do I have to spay or neuter it?" "Would be nice. Also not weaned yet." Mai went and made some sort of formula somehow and brought the powder back. Then she took the kit and said "Needs to be spayed and she's too young for that right now." Kin said "I'm gonna call you Akane. You are so cute..."

Mai went back to the med ward and found Sasori looking at the mess she'd made making that fox formula and the internet instructions to do it. "A fox cub? Why do you have one of those?" "Itachi found a fox kit and decided to give it to my sister. It hasn't been weaned yet." Sasori described what Rowen had been doing and the fact she was sleeping in strange places. "Sounds like she's bored. My sister sleeps in strange places too. Tables, counters, and desks. Preferrably sunny spots. Some people just sleep in weird places." "So it's nothing to be... concerned over?" "No but I think your partner Deidara is hurting himself to get my attention. First a minor burn on his hand, then a stubbed toe." Sure enough he walked in with a black eye. "Training accident hm..." Sasori went to have a little talk with his partner.

Outside, rowan was... well, let's call it training.

In reality, she was digging her claws into the ground, panting hard.

Something was wrooong.... Very very wrong.

She gripped the ground harder, claws contracting around the diry snd grass, displacing it, forming little mounds where she gripped.

She let out a shuddering breath.

Something was wrong... very very wrong.

She rolled over, splaying one of her wings to the side. Still hurt like heck.

She rolled back over and tried to fold it. No luck. While it hurt badly, she seemed to havelost most controll over the appendage. She could not move it, and it hurt... so...  much...

Something was wrong... Very very wrong.

Sasori also mentioned that Rowen was still having problems with her wing. Not that she'd admit it. Mai was taken to where Rowen was and she kept herself in plain sight with Sasori so Rowen could figure it out that Mai was NOT bothering her of her own volition. Mai said "Rowan... may I please see your wing? Sasori said he noticed you were having problems with it." Mai made sure she kneeled instead of crouched keeping a certain distance from Rowen. She was doing everything in her power to appear non threatening. Sasori said gruffly "Rowan just cooperate with her. If she does anything to hurt you I will kill her." Leader happened by and watched the situation carefully. Mai said "If she isn't going to let me I'm not going to force it. I like my body parts where they are at thank you. But from what you described it could be severed or fraying tendons which would involve surgery or more of the Healer's touch to fix. But if it isn't fixed she could possibly lose the ability to fly." Mai was going to let Rowan close the distance. It was Rowen's call and Mai made that absolutely clear.

Healer's touch...?

Was that what she had done before?The medic was kneeling... It would be so easy to rush her, easy to knock her over and take her throat out... That was a vunerble position.

She shoved herself up a little bit. "H-Helaer's touch... Is that chakra based?"

Dang, her voice was all messed up, and she found it hard to really talk. She attempted to shove herself up more, but she just ended up falling back down in the dirt. She pulled her good wing under herself and tried to use that to get herself up more. It was no use, looked like she was down for the count. She glared at the medic, waiting for an awnser.

The boy shuddered as he took position in the main building again.''And I thought that Pein-sama had scary looking eyes...''

He slid down with his back against the wall and waited....and waited.It was already late in the morning and leader had yet show his face.Yori was supposed to work here, wasn't he?Normally a boss would send his employer to work a soon as they had stopped foot inside.

Yori perked up as he suddenly heard voices outside.''Better check it out.''He mumbled to no one in particular and headed outside.There he spotted the dragon,that blonde who looked like doctor and a red-head with a pokerface who seemed to be as tall as he was.Oh,and the man also known as Pein!He was about to approach them but decided that it would probably be better if he waited.

So he kept himself on the background.

Mai said "Yes it is chakra based. The chakra forces things that would normally not heal properly to mend to a stable stage that can heal properly on it's own. Like with the bones in your wing. It would have taken me hours to piece those bones back together. I would have had to use pins to keep the bone in place while it mended. The healer's touch is a bloodline that has no place on the battle field. It can heal damage that won't heal at all otherwise too like most of the nervous system which would normally not heal. I can even re grow body parts. Forcing something to heal so rapidly often results in pain and discomfort but it's better than healing incorrectly. But all the chakra comes out of me." Mai said "If I were to fix that tendon with surgury I'd have to put stitches on a very small area and you'd have to be knocked out and held down. I'm one of the few doctors who could do this without needles." Then she explained how she thought the injury happened "When I pulled that senbon out the grooves in it must have caught on the tendon and started the tear. Once that tendon snaps you'll lose the ability to use that wing. Please let me fix your wing.

Kin was playing with her new fox kit outside. The little vixen was named Akane and chasing a ball. Then Kin saw the snake and shrieked. Itachi came running outside and saw the snake just sunning itself on a rock and he sighed. "Kin it's not hurting anything... Calm down." He picked up the snake and threw it out of the garden. Kin kissed him for that and he wrapped his arms around her waist. He broke off and made to push Kin off saying "We really shouldn't go any furthur than that." Kin pulled his head back down for another kiss. There was chemistry and it was explosive. Kin wanted more now that she'd had a taste.

Rowan flopped down. Greeeeeat. She sighed.

"Y-You can't do anything to a draconican with chakra based healing ttechniques. It interferes with the way we change forms... And just screws things up. Iy only actually heals anything for a few minuets and then it undoes itself due to the unstable reaction and the mollecular stricture of a draconians DNA... And then this happens"

She breathed in sharply at the end of herlittle speil. Rowan shoved herelf up and managed to get into a sittingposition of sorts. She was kind of halfflopped down over her front legs, but it looked like that was all shewas going to get for now.

Mai sighed and said "Then I'm going to have to do it the other way and stitch that tendon back in place unless you stay in human form that just doesn't have that tendon until it heals. At least the healer's touch put the bones in your wing back in place. That's something that can't be undone because it's just a puzzle made of bone." Mai continued "I am not a medic nin. I'm a doctor. I can't tourture or maim someone I just don't have that in me. The most I could do would be to kick a man in the groin for messing with my sister." Mai's sister sense was tingling when she said "Stay in human form for a while so you don't snap the tendon. I have a feeling someone is messing with my sister." Mai got up and went to Uchiha's place and found him with his tongue down her sister's throat. Granted Kin looked pretty happy about being there but still. Mai managed to yank them apart and nail the Uchiha in the nuts. He went down hard and she said "Hands off my sister." Itachi growled and said "She kissed me." Kin glared at her sister and said "Let me live my life sis..."

Rowan slunk off deeper into the woods. THere was nothing wrong with her fracking tendon! Had everything she had just explained just gone straight over that medic's head? She growled. Being in her human form would likely make things worse, mainly due to the phanton limb complex and the fact that any more mollecular or chakra changes would further screw things up. She walked for a little longer, wing dragging hopelessly in the dirt behind her.

Up ahead, she could see the large tree. At it's base, there was an area carved out. Just big enough for her to slip into.

Kin and Itachi were back at making out the second Mai turned her back. Then they broke off the instant Mai turned to look at them. Kin said "Mai let me have my fun." "I don't want to see you get hurt." Itachi looked around and said "What kind of man do you think I am? This is insulting. I am not going to hurt her." Mai huffed and stormed off to get back to reading that book. Itachi wrapped an arm around Kin's waist and said "Where were we?" Kin pulled his head back down and she got pinned to the wall making happy noises.

Yori had no idea what happened.He could only guess that the dragon was wounded -badly maybe, and that the blonde called Mai had wanted to help before she had said something about her sister being messed with.Oh, she had a sister!So Yori was sure that his mind hadn't been playing tricks on him.Mai left,Rowan left and leader was on the verge of leaving but Yori stopped him by bluntly sliding in front of him.

''Sir!''He stopped himself by digging his heels in the earth and then he bowed.

The short brunette glanced up at the man and spoke,counting on his fingers.''I would to ask for a job description,instructions,a proper introduction and...eh...rules perhaps?''

''Follow me.''Pein answered curtly, but Yori was glad; he had been persistent and it had payed off.Smiling like a retard the boy followed.

Kin and Itachi were still making out a good ten minutes later and Kisame was watching them. Itachi decided to cop a feel and Kisame blew his cover by saying "Finally! I wasn't sure you knew what to do." Itachi broke off and whirled around growling. "Leave Kisame... Now." "Spoil sport. Ya know if I was making out I'd let you watch." Kin blushed and looked down seeing her fox cub grab Kisame's pant leg growling. The giant blue man looked down and said "That thing is Kin's right?" "Who's do you think it would be? You know I am a cat person Kisame." "Right..." Kisame freed his pants and left.

Meanwhile with Mai... Mai was sewing something... A sling of some sort. She had that draconian book out and a template. "This aught to keep her wing from dragging at any rate... But will she wear it? I'll just leave it with Sasori and see if he can convince her..." Mai handed the sling over with instructions on how to put the device on to Sasori and went about her business passing her sister playing with the fox kit and went back to the med ward.

The Akatsuki live and spend their free time here at the compound around here they can relax and focus on things like hobbies. (they can and will be ooc around here) It's in the middle of nowhere but has all the amenities.

These are the people who work behind the scenes both on and off the base at the Akatsuki. From assistants to stand in partners we have them all here.

Auxiliary members stay with one of the main members.

You live and work for the Akatsuki here, each member has their own house and staff here.

How you got here varies, some of you could have been slaves both captured by the Akatsuki or rescued from an abusive master to work here.

The Akatsuki could have seen your power but since the main spots are full up you are a back up who also guards the compound. When a member is sick and has a mission you could be their stand in.

You could even be hired to work here. It's up to you.
