Kin saw the new guy and wanted to invite him over for dinner. But that was Itachi's place not hers so she just said "You're looking for the main building? Dead center of the compound next to the medical building. So find the big red cross and it's the building next to it." Itachi had noticed the flyer and let Kin give him directions. Then Itachi guided Kin back to the house and she started making a pasta dish. Itachi came in the kitchen and smelled the food. "Smells good..." Then he went back to what he was doing. Mai was helping her sister cook without saying a word.

Grateful, Yori called after her. ''Oh, thank you miss....eh...young lady...ma'am....''A long silence.

''......your majesty??'' 

He rubbed the back of his head awkwardly.''Geez, I am really terrible with talking to people.Anyway...''He looked around and smiled when he saw the building with the red cross on top of it.Next to the said building Yori spotted another.''That must be the main building!''The boy marched towards the building with cheerful steps, stopped in front of the building and knocked loudly.He waited a few moments but when he received no answer he knocked again, but everything was quiet inside.

''Excuse me, I am coming in!''

Not a living soul.Yori pouted and grumbled under his breath.''Tells me that he will be expecting me soon, and looks hasn't shown his face yet.''

Kin finished making the food and all three of them sat down. Over meals Itachi seemed to know how to engage socially and had a polite conversation. After dinner Kin cleaned up but this time she was more careful with the knives. When she was done Itachi tried to talk again while they were watching a movie but Kin shushed him. She loved that movie. Itachi wrapped an arm around her and sat there watching the movie with her. It was a quiet moment that seemed to ease some of Itachi's lonelyness.

Mai went back to the medical building and checked the book. It was still there safe and sound. She looked around before pulling it out. Then Mai sat down and started studying more on draconians. She wanted to be prepared if Rowen needed her for anything. She had to be ready for her new charges.

A quick sniff of the air revealed a new scent. 

Rowan streached. It was norml for her, wake up, the first thing after was to check the air. 

Then she looked at the clock. Wow, she had sleapt for five hours. Well, it was getting late now. She should go find the new person.

She tracked him to the door of the main compound. Who was this guy? Leader had mentioned someone, but she had not REALLY paid attention, she was having a mental conversation with herself about if penguins had knees. 

She never had figured it out. Anyway, back to the matter at hand. Hmm... Hey, he looked even shorter than SHE was! Wow!

So, to welcome him, Rowan lept out o the bushed and pounced on him, knocking the small teen over, and growling "Playully" in his face.

...Competely forgetting that sometimes leader forgot to mention the whole dragon thing. 

And that it was hard or most people to tell "playfull" from rabies.

Whoops.

 

Mai had safely stored the book and gone out for a walk. She saw a small dragon tackle the teenager and remembered that the dragon did not like to be touched. So she coughed and got the dragon's attention. Mai kept her attitude submissive and calm when she said "Hello Rowen is it? I'm Mai the new doctor." Mai bowed and said "If you decide to trust me enough to work with me you won't be dissapointed. I'll do whatever it takes to keep you well." Mai stood back up and made sure she'd kept a respectful distance. She hoped she'd done that right. Just then Leader walked by and rescued the poor boy from under Rowen saying "Rowen just don't attack the doctor, don't try to scare her off or anything like that."

The boy had confusion written all over his face, he looked from the dragon that had jumped him, to the girl which he had met earlier and then to the man who had offered him a job.He sat up when he noticed that he was still lying on his back with his hands in the air as if he was surrendering.''Umh....''So the dragon was called Rowan and the girl was Mai- eh... no.He looked at her clothes and noticed that she was dressed different from last time.Also her personality seemed different.Wait a moment.....they had a dragon!?''.....Umh....wha-?''

''Now get up and follow me.''

Yori watched the man head off so he bowed to the woman and to the dragon still kind of shaky after getting jumped at,grabbed his almost empty suitcase and ran after the man.

Rowan flicked her ears and followed happily, nipping playfully at the new guy's feet.

It was kind of funny that leader had apparantly forgot to mention that she could turn into a dragon. He might not even know that she could talk yet. Heh, this could be pretty funny. She could REALLY mess with this one!

Hopefully Kakuzu would not kill him. He had a bad habit of killing all the un guys... But Rowan really did not have the guts to confront him about it. She was kind of sscared of Kakuzu.

Anyways, back to the new guy. She butted her head into the back o his knees.

Mai realized she'd just been blown off and went to get back to that book when Kakazu came along and said "You doc fix my back now!" "Come on I'll have to take a look... Did you throw it out or something?" "Arthritis. I just need some dang pain pills." Mai said "Accupuncture would provide longer lasting relief and the pins can be reused so in the long run it's cheaper." "I like you. Let's go." Mai got him to lay out on her examination table and started carefully sticking the man with pins like some sort of voodoo doll. The older man seemed patient enough until his partner came in the room. "Hey old fart I ripped my cloak fix it!" Mai said "Go talk to my sister. She's handy with a needle and thread, I'm busy with Kakuzu here." Hidan went off to go bug Kin.

Kin was woken up by Hidan but so was Itachi. They'd fallen asleep watching movies. Hidan made Kin break out her sewing kit and mend the tear. When she was done she yawned but hit rewind on the movie and settled back down. Itachi turned off the TV and said "I think it's time we went to bed." Kin yawned again cutely and got up to go get ready for bed. Itachi followed suit and they went to bed.

''Hmmmf?''Did he just felt something nip his feet?The boy looked down,only to see the path of stone he had been walking on.Confused he lifted both his feet one after another.Perhaps he had stept on something.''Oh...''Yori gazed up and saw the man glaring at him.''I am sorry.''Yori apologized and rushed to keep up with his new boss.But before he could even register what happened, he was laying face flat on ground with a mouth full of dirt.

Great, juuuust great.

''He already did not like me, but now he will think I am so stupid that I cannot even walk!''The boy thought bitterly, spitting out earth and rubbing his tongue in disgust.Bleh, he could feel the sand between his teeth and his face heating up.He looked back to find a tree troot or something but instead he saw the dragon.

''Rowan.... could you please stop jumping on me?''Cautious he pointed at the tall man.''I have the feeling he'll kill me if I keep anno-....''And now he was talking a dragon.Yori slapped himself and stood up.''Never mind.''

The Chunin brushed the dirt of his clothes and turned around.''Aaaaand he's gone!''Didn't he need to come with he guy, then why had he disappeared...Again!?

ROwan made a little chittering sound.

"What? No, he won't kill ya. Not yet, anyway. Kakuzu might though. He keeps killing his part..."

A squirrel ran from one tree to another, and Rowan stopped abruptly to stare at it, and to decide if it was worth the effort to go chargin after it and eat it. In the end she did not, squirrels were VERY urry and a quick snack was not worth the two hours of picking fur out of her teeth that would come from it. 

"..ners, so Leader found Hidan, and he's immortal, so Kakuzu just beats the crap out of him instead of killing him."

She smiled.

Kin woke up hearing thunder in the distance. She grabbed a pillow and whined slightly. Kin didn't like thunder. Then she noticed Itachi watching her and stopped whining. Itachi said "You're scared of thunder... Come to bed with me. My little brother used to be scared of storms." Kin got up still upset and crawled into the queen sized bed with a black silk comforter and ivory silk sheets. Itachi awakwardly wrapped an arm around her and went right to sleep. Kin took a little while and cuddled into her temporary bed mate's side. She did feel safer despite the fact it was a mass murderer she was next to instead of her sister. 

Mouth agape, Yori's eyes widened when the dragon's voice reached his ears.The dragon could talk.......Rowan could talk.How was that even possible?Yori had spent a great deal of time with animals and knew a lot about them, but dragon's were new to him.He had never seen a live dragon, let alone, one who could talk.

After staring intensely at a squirrel for some moments the dragon finished her sentence with a smile.The boy had not even paid attention to what she had been saying and just nodded dumbfounded.Now it was probably his turn to speak and he did not knew what to say.

''Umh...umh....you can talk?!''

That was a one unnecessary question and he groaning inwardly.''I mean, I didn't knew dragons could speak...Do all dragons speak?''

Cue mood swing.

Rowan flattened her ears in anger. T...This guy has thought she was... WHAT? Some kind of animal? Well, technically she was, but that was different. SHe growled at him, loudly, the scaled on her neck bristled and she bent her front legs, with her tail out straight behind her. 

Really, she looked lke a rabbid dog, but the image of a snarling dragon in romt of them usually made poeople rethink their last few sentances.

She even went as far as to take a couple of slow (Very slow) steps closer to him. She flattened her ears even more, tilting the nicked one.

Mai heard the ruckus and came back out. She'd remembered to put the book back in a safe place. She took one look at the situation and turned right back around... Then she heard the thunder and went to Itachi's place. She took one look at where her sister was and said "What on earth is going on here?" Itachi for his part just glared at the woman. Kin sat up and said "Sis he was being nice... You know I'm scared of thunder." Mai said "And there are no ulterior motives here. I find that hard to believe." Itachi said "I have hands and know a few call girls... Mind out of the gutter." Mai leaned up against the door "I don't trust you." Itachi smirked "I don't expect you to." Kin flopped back down. "Sis lock the door on the way out... I wanna sleep with a warm pillow." Kin wrapped her arms around Itachi and yawned again snuggling into the warm body next to her.

Oh honey suger ice tea, this was not good!

Yori did not understand why she suddenly had gotten angry,had he perhaps triggered it by saying something stupid?But, he only said that he did not knew dragons could speak....showing his ignorance about that subject.That was all.Maybe,that had insulted the dragon.

But it was not fair.

he had not gotten angry when she had jumped on him,nipped his feet and made him fall and get dirt in his mouth.

Yori looked at the growling and snarling dragon in front of him, Rowan was slowly getting closer.She was not messing around, this was serious.He was not all that scared, nervous perhaps, I mean...would she really attack him?

''I am sorry if I have insulted you, that had not been my intention.''He gave an awkward smile and tried to reason with her.''Maybe you could tell me why you're angry, so that I perhaps can understand you better and won't make that mistake again.''It wasn't easy with a very angry, growling dragon in front of you, but he bowed.

 

The Akatsuki live and spend their free time here at the compound around here they can relax and focus on things like hobbies. (they can and will be ooc around here) It's in the middle of nowhere but has all the amenities.

These are the people who work behind the scenes both on and off the base at the Akatsuki. From assistants to stand in partners we have them all here.

For our puropses these are the current members: Leader, Kohan, Itachi, Kisame, Tobi, Deidara, Sasori, Zetsu, Hidan, Kakuzu

Auxiliary members stay with one of the main members.

You live and work for the Akatsuki here, each member has their own house and staff here.

How you got here varies, some of you could have been slaves both captured by the Akatsuki or rescued from an abusive master to work here.

The Akatsuki could have seen your power but since the main spots are full up you are a back up who also guards the compound. When a member is sick and has a mission you could be their stand in.

You could even be hired to work here. It's up to you.
