Sorian suddenly crashed through a glass window, startling everyone. She had gotten lost, but quickly found the sweepers inside the haunted mansion. "Hello there humans." She said in her queer owl-human voice. There was an awkward pause as Sorian stared at the basilisk they had just killed. She shook her feathers and a single white down feather went floating off. Grendile glared at her, a glare that said "Leave us alone, now." "Oh...But I can help you find your...criminal..." She whispered. Grendile growled "Then prove it." That would not be hard, Sorian thought. She leaned her head left and right, and listened carefully for any kind of noise or rustling. Suddenly she ran toward one wall and kicked open a rotting piece of the wall. She reached in and grabbed a tiny mouse. No one else had even noticed or cared that it was there, but she had. Sorian walked up to Grendile with the mouse in her claws. "Is that Proof Enough?" She asked.
Grendile sighed dragging the basilisk that was still petrified over into a corner where he buried it in treasure so if it did wake up, it would have trouble getting out. Grendile walked over to see Deonday. "He's still breathing? I would have been sure that would have killed him. He must've done something before he could have been killed. That or the basilisk must've done something. At least he's alive, I can't imagine what he must have seen looking at that thing." Grendile was looking through Deonday's bag to find his Journals that Deonday would carry around. He looked at curiousity at two books. "Evil books could have done it also. What he saw in these books could have saved him. Did you know he picked these books up from the library?"
Lilya narrowed her eyes, "No I haven't." She went to his bag and took out the books, "Hurmp, we cannot have these. Didn't I tell him that clearly enough?!" She threw the books att he basilisk and mumbled words in the snake language she has been stuck with since she was a child, all thanks to a witch who visited her. "We must not take anything that speaks of evil, if we do, we might as well just run into a pot of lava and then swim in it." She hissed. She ignored the owl, feeling drepressed and evil as she usually did when someone nearly dies or in a battle, she doidn't care if this criminal jumped on her this very second, all she wanted to do was go back to her alleyway that she called home.
He looked back at the owl creature with a frown on his face. "Our criminal already exited the mansion, and catching a mouse only proves that you can catch your own food." Grendile sighed looking back at Deonday and Lilya. "I know he can act like a fool sometimes. Even if he's a fool he's a kind one. I don't think carrying evil books is smart either, we already caused all this attention to ourselves, I think we should work on finding a way out of here." Grendile looked around relieved to see a door. He looked back at Lilya who looked a bit disappointed at Deonday. "He's had it rough, only Deonday has told me this, but I think you should know this too." Grendile pulled out a small note and had showed it to Lilya. "The note you hold in your hand was given to him by his parents, it's a hate note. He was abandon and a family of elves took him in. The family of elves treated him very poorly. He's had a rough childhood. I think that's why he's such a brickhead now."

Lilya sighed and shook her head, disappointed in Deonday's parents, "They need  to go and die." She whispered in disgust and stared att he basiliks, his jaws hanging open and its eyes closed, stuck in the same position as it saw its refection and she muttered, "Let's just leave this place ebfore anyone else gets ideas." She muttered, not impressed by Deonday taking those books, not one bit. She'll probably rbing it up 'kindly' when he wakes up...

Hokey shuddered and looked at the giant snake in fear, he has never seen a snake bigger than 6 foot and this snake... just freaked him out like every other nake in the world.

Grendile grabbed Deonday and had begun dragging him out to the main room of the mansion. "There has to be a easier way to carry him, he can get terribly heavy sometimes." Grendile dragged Deonday out of the mansion, the rest of the group fallowing him. They went out into a forest where Grendile set up a campfire, it was night and very dark. He set Deonday down onto some soft moss. After a few minutes Deonday had woken up looking at Lilya who looked disappointed with him. "Oww my head. Lilya why do you look angry at me?" Grendile was behind her looking at Deonday. "Remember the visit to the library Deonday?" Deonday looked up in confusion, "What do you mean oh, now I remember."
Lilya glared at Deonday, anger corusing through her, "Oh, remeber when I said not to pick up the evil books? Well, you did and that just ticks me off!" She grabbed a small rock and threw it at his face, "You idiot! How could you take evil books! Luckily, you don't have them now thanks to that stupid basilisk!" She yelled at Deonday att he top of her luungs, Hokey giggling silently, Deonday shouldn't have done that... he thought amused. While Lilya kept yelling, "You just had to try and take them didn't you!" She felt a sudden hatred for Deonday.
Deonday put a hand to where the rock hit. He felt very guilty now. He gave Lilya a very sincere glare. "I'm sorry Lilya, I just get curious at notes on books that say 'do not read.' I wasn't planning on reading the entire thing. I'm sorry for being a brickhead." Grendile looked at Deonday with a very disappointed look. "There was a note on it too. I can't believe you'd read something with a note like that. You really need to learn how to stay away from things like that. Sorry Lilya, he's just very curious. But most of the time he's a brickhead." Deonday had a very innocent look across his face now, he looked up to Lilya with a very upset look. "I'm sorry, I should have listened to you. Thanks for being very watchful, I'm so sorry." Deonday usually faked sincerity and sadness, but for now he felt very guilty.
Lilya continued to glare at Deonday and turned her head, "Fine, you're forgiven, for now." He sighed but Lilya was still angry, she hatred it when someone she cared about put themselves in danger for something stupid, especially curiosity. She mumbled, mocking Deonday, "Ooh look at me holding a big dangerous book that says do not read, I think I'll read it!" She scoffed and continued to glare at a tree in anger of Deonday's stupid choice, then she eventually regretted yelling at him. She sighed, feeling guilty with herself and looked a tDeonday,  "Sorry.." She mumbled quietly. ,
Deonday looked at the stone that was thrown at his head. He sighed kicking the rock to the side. Grendile was writing in his journal enjoying the peace and quiet. "I think our criminal is heading to the city of Mariola, he's not there to robbing luckily, he's there to go under cover for a while. It's a nice place from what I've heard. It will be a great place to relax and regather supplied. We can't risk attacking him in that city, not with all the children that live there. We'll just be there to fallow close behind our criminal and wait until he moves to the next city. One question though, how are we going to get there exactly? Trains not an option and it would be terribly difficult to get there by foot."
Lilya seeed to look ayt Hokey, "well... elves can teleport, Grendile... I think you would know that...." She said quickly, as if that Hokey was the answer for every single problem in the world.  Hokey sighed, hating being his master's only answer, but, it's his job to serve his amster and her every whim and need. While Grendile talked with Hokey, Lilya saw her chance and followed Deonday who seemed to isolate himself from the rest of the group. "Deonday?" She croakced and he sighed heavily and looked at her. Lilya moved slowly closer to him and whispered,v "I'm sorry if I exploded on you. I didn't mean it." She held his hand and cuddled up to him as an apology, "I'm sorry if it.. hurt you."
Deonday looked at Lilya with a smile, his eyes were a bit watery as he looked at her. "It's OK, I'm fine, thank you for taking those books away from. That was my fault, I should've been more careful." Deonday looked into the forest feeling a bit better, beginning to think to himself. I can be an evil moron sometimes, at least I have frisnds. Grendile looked down at Hokey. "I think they like each other, I know you are positive about that. Anyway, the city of Mariola is usually a peaceful place, but we must keep our eyes out for our criminal once there." Grendile smiled at Hokey, kindness glinted in his eyes. "How much energy do you think it will take you to get us there?"

Hokey looked as if he was calculating hard, "Uhh... I say that after that I would have to take a short nap, teleporting usually doesn't take much energy for elves, so, I'll be fine." He nodded and smiled, "Yes, I'm aqctually happy that my master actually is socializing with humans, she used to hate any social interaction, not to mention how much she hated male humans!"

Lilya smiled, "Ah- well- I guess my anger saved your life, how interesting." She said that more of as a joke, not taking it seriosuly at all. She looked at the m0oon, which was full and it glowed red, she shuddered and closed her eyes tightly, A bad omen.

Deonday looked up at the moon, it seemed strange to him that it was red. He looked at Lilya who didn't seem to like how the moon looked. "Never seen the moon do that before, I don't think that's normal, do you?" Grendile looked at Hokey sighing trying to ignore Lilya and Deonday. "Deonday hasn't talked to anyone kindly besides me until he met this group. We both used to live alone in our hideout. Deonday hasn't socialized with another human until he met Lilya. He seems happier around her." Grendile gave a side look to Deonday and Lilya, then turned back to Hokey. "A nap sounds like a good idea right about now, I'm still tired from that one spell I used on that huge creature, I still can't figure out what it's called, I don't think it was a Chimera though."

Hokey shook his head, "My master studies these strange creatures, a chimera she told me, is a snake-lion-goat creature, that one I noticed, had no goat similarites at all."

Lilya mumbled, "Hunter's Moon, people describe it as orange most times, but sometimes it appears to be red, it's all an illusion, but it is rumored to be an unlucky omen, one that I believe so. There was a hunter's moon on the night my parents died.." she whispered sadly, andquickly, she hated saddening explainations about her past. "I hate the hunter's moon... she muttered, half to herself, as a reminder.

They will stop at nothing to get their prize, and many others as well.
