Jewels nodded and decided to take a look around the library. She had a gun, just in case she ran into trouble. She walked around until she found an interesting shelf of books. She took a book out and looked through it. It seemed to be some kind of map of the mansion. She smiled as she opened to a large map of the mansion. She stuffed the book into her bag and ran over to the others, but she was stopped by none other than Zonan.

Zonan jumped down from the top of the dark shelf, and landed right in front of Jewels. She glared at him and took out her gun. "Why hello again, Jewels..." He began.

Deonday looked at the group, he could see everyone, but Jewels. "That's not good, where's Jewels." Deonday had gotten up from his spot looking to his right and left, she wasn't even in sight. He looked down at Grendile who was still uncontious. "I can't just leave him and the group here, but I have to keep everyone together" Deonday went to go look around the library, as he continued walking he saw a strange black covered book, when he looked at it he noticed there was an illustration of a skull on the front. There was also a note attached to it. Out of curiousity he read the note, "This book of spells is only for the purest of black hearts. Beware, do not read." Deonday set the note down and had put the book in a bag he carried around. As he continued searching through the library he found Jewels, and Zonan.
Lilya blinked and looked att he dusty books and saw one that interested her, One about mystical and dangerous creatures. Her eyes glittered and she blew the dust off, the cover was written in golden letters and there was a picture of a western dragon on it. She opened it and noticed that the pages were yellowed with age and looked crumpled, so she turned the pages carefully and saw the one creature they fought, and read it carefully, and blinked with dread, closed the book and ran over to Hokey and whispered something to the elf and he gasped.
Deonday looked at the two of them beginning to fight. "As long as none of you don't blow up this library I'll be fine." Deonday left to go back to look at some more books. He sat down to look at the book in his hands. "Only made for evil, I'm evil, aren't I?" Out of curiousity Deonday opened the book beginning to flip through the pages. "These are strange symbols" Deonday looked at an illustrated design. It was odd to him because of the pattern. As he continued looking through the pages he found more and more bizarre things. Then he came to the last page, there was an illustration if a shadow creature, it looked like the ones Grendile would summon when he was fighting. He read above it to see the name of them. "Shadows of darkness, interesting name." Deonday put the book away, the reason nothing bad had been caused by the book yet, because he was smart, he didn't read the entire book. He went back to Lilya and the rest of the group. "Weird books that are here, no wonder those creatures didn't like us here."
Lilya nodded to Deonday, "Yes, these creatures are protecting some evil magic hidden in this place. I can tell by the look in the serphants' eyes." She rolled her eyes as Zonan and Jewels fought again, "Again? You can't be serious, Zonan is seriously gonna die soon if he keeps this up." She flipped through the creature book she had and muttered in amazment all of the evil creatures she didn't even know existed. "How interesting.." She mumbled as she saw the basilisk, one of her favorites, a 20 foot long snake that could stare into your eyes and kill you alone by doing that.
Grendile looked up to see the group. He held his head feeling a bit dizzy. He carefully had picked himself to his feet. Looking around he noticed they were in a library, a strange one at that."I'm going to have to do some more planning, our criminal had just escaped." Grendile sighed beginning to write in his Journal. Deonday sighed and looked away from Grendile. "Grendile said before they had treasure, books, and rare jewels here. I'm pretty sure the huge thing that attacked us was the one who protected the books, if we're going to take anything from here, let's keep it to books. I don't want to run into anymore huge beasties, I don't think Grendile will be able to use that spell again anytime soon."

Lilya nodded, "Books are the real treasure, for with books come with knowledge." She muttered wisely as she looked att he creatures intensely, studying anything she could get. Hokey wondered away from his master and looked at a pretty ruby hanging on the wall, not hearing Deonday's words he poked the shiny jewel curiously. "It's beautiful.." he muttered as he gazed at it. Lilya sighed and noticed that there was a few elfen words in the book that she could not translate easily so she closed the book. She felt suddenly lonely, and her spine tingled as if a cold claw scraped down her back. She narrowed her eyes and  looked at Deonday fondly.

Deonday looked at Lilya with a smile, he turned his head to see Hokey who was looking at a ruby that was on the wall. He looked at the rest of the wall, the precious Jewels on them seemed to make a strange symbol. "Well that's not odd at all. Hokey, I'd be careful, I'm pretty sure if you keep touching them we're going to have some more monster 'friends' 'greet' us." Deonday sighed to look back at Lilya. "There's some nice books here, way better than any crystal you could ever find." Deonday sighed looking through more books until he found one that looked very interesting to him, on the front was an illustration of a black jem. There was also a note on this book, "All who dare read realize that you may seal your fate. This book is only for evils eyes to look upon. Any good who dare to read will be corrupted by darkness. Well that's just great." Deonday sighed flipping through this book, it had different symbols and creatures. Everything about the book he was reading was pure evil. He sighed putting this book with the other one he had. He walked back to Lilya. "Do you think we should get going?" Deonday watched as Jewel shot Zonan's leg. He sighed watching Zonan dissapear again.
Lilya nodded and whispered to him, "Probably, Hokey likes shiny things, so I'm guessing we better leave beofre Hokey decides to pry all the jewels out, and besides, most of these books are for the purest of evil," She looked to Deonday, "Which isn't you."  She smiled and kissed him on the cheek fondly, "I know it isn't." She whispered to him and caleld Hokey over, "Hokey, don't do that." Hokey jumped and ran over to his master, looking guilty of pokeing the shiny jewels. "Hokey, don't just go poking at things that look suspisous, especially in a place like this." She scodled the house elf who nodded quickly.
Deonday gave Lilya a small smile, when she turned to go see Hokey he put a hand on one of the books, for some reason the second one he grabbed was written in elf, which he could easily read. He looked at the two books. One had a skull illustration on the front, the other had an illustration of a black gem. He hoped Lilya wouldn't notice he had them. He put them back in his bag to look around. The walls seemed strange in here, but he was too absentminded to care. Deonday began leaning against part of the gem encrested wall. The weird thing to him was only part of the wall was covered in gems. He almost tripped backwards, the way they came in closed, and the wall Deonday was leaning on turned out to be a door. In the door was very valuable gems and treasure, he didn't care for the treasure thouh. "Great, if we run into a monster you all can blame me."
Lilya felt the floor shake and she grabebd Hokey's neck, "Hokey... don't move." Lilya saw a serpahnt like movement in the shadows and she gulped and whispered to Deonday, "Close your eyes. Right now." Deonday looked confused and did as he was told. Lilya looked to Grendile, "He'll be sae." She muttered. ANd since Jewels was way over there, she could barely see the creature. Lilya closed her eyes tightly and covered Hokey's, she kenw what was in the shadows, for she has just read about them... a dangeorus creature that could klill you by looking you straight in the eye.. a basilisk.
Grendile sighed with adgictation, he looked annoyingly at the basilisk. Honestly he had no idea what these creatures could do to ghosts, he doubted they could do much. In fact he could stare straight into it's eyes and not even feel the slightest bit uncompfertable. Grendile took out his swords preparing to attack the basilisk. He walked up to it catiously making sure it focused on him, not the rest of the group. "Lilya's smart, you have to keep your eyes closed, there's a basilisk, almost as bad as gorgons, one look at this things eyes and you'll be dead. Keep your eyes closed." Gorgons are the type of creature Medusa was, basilisks were similar, but instead of turning to stone, you'd die right on the spot. Grendile came close enough and had stuck his swords through the basilisks head.
Lilya heard the snarling and slithering stop and the thud as the giant serphant fell to the ground, "MAke sure his eyes are closed Grendile, basilisk can still kill you after death." Grendile did so and Lilya opened her eyes again and studied the creature. "Maginificent.. I never thought I would see one in real life." She felt the scales and brought out her sword abnd snip a few off, she dropped them onto the floor and opened its huge jaws and pulled out a few of its fangs. Grendile looked at her like she was crazy and Lilya defended herself, "BAsilisk vemon is the most dangerous venom in the worl, you'll find it useful to have a few of its fangs on hand. The sclaes are just for a collection of mine."
Deonday sighed looking at the creatures head. It looked like the average snake, but bigger. He payed close attention to it's eyelids, they seemed to be twitching, which was strange since he could sware it was dead. "Weird thing, don't you think. I bet you those scales will be worth alot to anyone, these things are almost impossible to be killed by the living. I didn't know they could be killed that way, and is it's eyelids twitching?" Deonday could feel it still breathing. To his shock it had gotten up staring at Deonday. In the basilisks eyes he could see strange symbols and great evil, he could also see a strange pattern within it's eyes. Then he saw nothing, just blackness as he fell uncontious to the ground. Grendile made sure it didn't look at anyone else. He quickly picked up a shiny piece of metal, the basilisk stared at its reflection, and fell dead to the ground closing it's eyes shut.
Lilya gasped and ran to Deonday, "Deonday! Deonday no! He looked at it!" She gulped hoping that he only saw its reflection and laid her head o nhis chest, "Deonday.." She whispered slowly and she rgretted ever following Jewels, all of this was her fault. If she deicded to rest.. she would at least have studied the signs that a basilisk was in here and would've dealt with it herself.. since she can talk to snakes, and controlling a absilisk was too easy. She started to cry, regretting she ever become a Bounty Hunter, and it crossed her mind that she regretted ever being born. 'Grendile, that wouldn't kill the basilisk,' She whsipered, "Now it's just petrifed."
