Saphire walked into Mystics High, though she was not excited. It was the middle of the school year and she had just moved. She knew she was going to be left out and not have any friends. She sighed. "This is going to be a long year." she muttered. She had moved from New York City after they were attacked by humans a year ago. She would never get to see the icy winters that she adored. How was she supposed to enjoy her power without winter. Like everyone else at Mystics High School she had special powers. She could freeze things.
Xeno walked into the highschool, glum. He didn't want to be here. Of course, he didn't want to be cut open for scientific research either. He thought of how deep underground they were, and wondered when he'd feel the warm rays of the sun again. He breathed with some trouble, and felt regretful that he'd come here. He missed the clear, sharp, mountainous air he was used to. The thick, humid down here, in a cave next to the sea, was dense enough that he felt like he was choking every time he inhaled. At least he was lucky enough to be able to come here, his grades were high enough that at this young age he could qualify for high school classes. WHile walking past a highschooler with blue streaks in her hair, weird, he reached back and tounched his neck, reverting it back to the way it was a few hours ago, when he stood in the warm sun for the last time.
As she walked into her first block, World History, very quietly she took her seat. It was extremly boring. All they talked about was old human attacks on mystics. The rest of her day didn't go too well either. In second period she tripped on her shoelaces and all her books went flying. Even in third period people were still talking about it. Hoping to make forth period better she walked into Science with a positive attitude. Hoping to at least make one friend, she sat next to a boy with a bluish-greenish dinosaur on his t-shirt. "Hi, i'm Sapphire," she said with a fake smile.
Olari walked down the hall of the new school, the air was heavy, wet, and hard to breath but at least she was safe, she decided that she would make the best of it anyways so she put on somewhat of a smile even though it was a fake one, but kept her head down as she walked past the other mystics that were there, they all seemed rather down hearted about having to move to another location, she didn't mind it to much, but she could tell it bothered the others, maybe it was just the way everything was so dark.
Xeno was abou t grunt in response, when he decided that being negative wasn't going to get him anywhere, So he took a deep breath of the thick, choking air ans said "Hello. My name is Xeno, it means foreign or alien voice in greek." He tooka penny out of his pocket, and held it pinched between his fingers. He switched it from shiny and new to old and green, and asked Sapphire "What's you ability?" then, as he waited for an answer, he switched it back to shiny and new. (I already posted this once, but for some reason it didn't post. Sorry for the delay.)
Olari walked into the classroom, she was a little late but apparently she wasn't noticed as she took her seat, she stared blankly ahead, her smile had faded, she found that it was hard to keep a not so smily smile on her face for an extended period of time, she glanced around. There wasn't many in the room, just some random people that included a kid who looked to young to be in high school that was holding a penny, and then another girl with blue streaks in her hair, which actually seemed pretty cool from her own point of view.    (thats kinda wierd that it wouldnt post)
"To freeze things," said Sapphire proudly. She had always been proud of her ability. Thats one of the reasons she came here. She had never wanted to hide who she truly was. She fiddled with her pencil as she waited for class to start. She wondered if this Xeno person even wanted to be her friend by his grumpy voice. Well, she couldn't blame him. This place stinks. She wished she could back in New York where everything was exciting. It was so stuffy it was starting to make her brain hurt. "What's your power?" she decided to ask. She wished class would start already.
Rider was leaning back in his chair goofing off with his friends as usual. He was amazing them, by making fireballs, swallowing them then breathing out the fire. As he was in the middle of entertaining one of his classmates, a few other students walked in. There was a short little boy who looked rather young to be going to high school, a girl with blue streaks in her hair and another girl with curly black hair. Hmm, I wonder who the newbies are. thought Rider as he observed them. He was tottaly digging the  younger boy's tottaly awesome dinosaur T-shirt.
(Sorry for not posting sooner, I was out)
Xeno flicked the penny into the air and told her "I can change the timeline of objects. Watch this." and, as the coin, now shiny once again, landed on his desk, he took out a pencil.  He held it in his hand, and concentrated. The wood began to rot, the paint flake off, and the metal started to get dull and non-reflective. He switched it back, and grinned. "This way," he said, smiling now, "I'm immortal. Better than freezing, isn't it?" he paused for a moment, then said "This teacher is really late, aren't they?" Just then, the teacher walked into the room.
Olari blew a black curly lock of hair out of her face as she looked at the teacher walking into the classroom, almost 10 minutes late, oh well, she enjoyed the extra down time she had before he showed up, she was almost tempted to shoot a stream of water at one of the boys fire balls though, she probably enjoyed the look on his face wondering where the water came from, but it was to late being the teacher walked in just as the thought crossed her mind, so she half way forgot about it for the time being and ran her hand back through her hair to keep it out of her face and leaned back in her chair.
Late again! thought Rider as the teacher walked in. He extenguished the flames and boredly levitated a pencil, waiting for class to begin. He couldn't wait for this class to be over, because he would have gym next, and today they were going to be going out for a short trip outside. He had begged the principal to allow this a few times a week, rallying other students and making petitions. Most of them agreed with Rider, that being deprived of fresh air and sunlight was very wrong. He couldn't wait to breathe in the fresh air and feel the warm sunlight on his skin.
"No, ice is the best power" she protested quietly so that the teacher wouldn't hear. She was so angry; being critisized by her power. She got out of her seat and glanced around the room, looking for another place to sit. She decided to sit beside a girl with curly, black hair. When she sat down she whispered to the girl quietly, "hi i'm Sapphire! I just moved here." she was really curious about what the other girl's power was. As she was waiting for the girl to respond, she thought about what Xeno had said. am i really that different? am i the only one with this power? i hope i meet someone else with the same power so that i won't have to feel so different.
Olari turned and looked over at the other girl "My name's Olari, it's nice to meet you Sapphire." she replied calmly, and under her breath so the teacher wasn't able to hear, that was the last thing she wanted on her first day of the new school was to get in trouble, well not just yet anyways, so she made sure the teacher wasn't looking towards there direction when she asked "What's your power Sapphire?" she had over heard her talking with the other boy about it but didn't hear much, so she figured she would ask to make conversation.
When Sapphire moved away from Xeno, he simply shrugged.  He didn't know what her problem was, but it really didn't matter. He brought his pencil back to the present, for two reasons; He needed to use it, and it was really stinking up the room. He looked to the front of the science class, and was delighted to find that this class period they would be learning about parasitic worms! How fun, what an obscure sunject! Xeno would be able to correct the teacher at least once, in his experience no one actually knew anything about tapeworms. He grinned, and started storing energy to heal his scratched up gamecube games when he got out for lunch or whatever. He briefly wondered how long it would take to find players for Four Swords Adventures.

Every little ounce of expression from Olari's face drained when she heard what they were going to be learning about in class that particular day, she was still waiting for Sapphire to reply and was paying attention to her but she had completly zoned out what the teacher was going to be saying, what possable reason would she have to learn about perasitic worms? she shuttered at the thought and erased it from her mind, but was still rather blank faced. She rested her head in her hand as the teacher went on and on, not bothering to absorb any bit of the information.
