Nightshade smelled the kill and slowly followed the scent, she quickly ate the rest and stalked in a manner that she found, she discovered that the stalk makes her movements almost silent, she was out quickly and she stretched a little, the stalk was almost a blend of how a wolf and a wild cat stalks their prey, but she somehow lightly shifts her weight so it's nearly equal weight on both sides, the way she found out how to do that was a complete

accident because she was teaching herself how to hunt based off of her watching more experanced dragons and she stumbled, she had adopted that movement since she discovered it. She took off flying for a servey of the area, she commenly does that because she's paranoid of hunters or threats around her, she had learned quickly to scan her surroundings every so often or else something might attack and with that she also moves to other areas so she's harder to find. Her red eyes scanned the forest and she deemed an area safe to land, she hit something and almost crashed, she just managed to catch herself before crashing 'Close call' she thought to herself as she landed on the ground.

Nightling went and kept an eye on the younger dragon... Saw the almost crash and wanted to shift back just to face palm a twenty something dragon should know how to fly... She went to get a drink and that male dragon was drinking... Nightling sized him up and saw he'd finished the remains of the kill and realized it was the tenant in her hotel Shadow and he was attractive... She went and had to deal with him and shifted back to explain the rules again. She had to pull him down to dodge a lance that came out of nowhere and the fight with the gang of slayers was long and brutal but it was mostly one sided against the slayers and they were missing limbs burned so they didn't bleed out and the hospital was called and Alex sent off the flare... The police had someone to interrogate and they were missing limbs... Alex had bruises. Lances were more annoying than anything else in all honesty. She found a dead female puma and orphaned cubs and called it in to have someone foster them... The lance had been tested on a puma somehow so they were under arrest for poaching and Alex was down a female puma a good mother who sent her cubs out ready to grow into trophy worthy individuals who culled the herds for her so the female with the tracking collar was going to be sorely missed...

Maiko was watching the restaurant being constructed and got a legit ofuda on her and was forced to fox form and said "Was there any reason for that sir?" "How many kitsune live here and are any of them causing trouble?" She answered honestly because the legit ofuda was compelling her to and she offered information that she and her brother were living in a mostly magical creature community and were just trying to make an asian restaurant with a few other magical creatures of the orient no man eaters... Namely a kirin named Ling... She also said that there weren't enough temples for all the kitsune in the world to serve so the rest had to make their way in the world. The man heard the word kirin and ripped the ofuda off and commented about this being a good place. Maiko started asking about why he was sent here?" "Several priests have been forcibly evicted by the community but now I can see why." "Live in peace and you are welcomed with a pamphlet... A council runs the show and the town was founded by a dragon." The priest said "How many regular humans live here?" "About ten why? Most of them are married to werewolves... Fur chasers..." The priest sighed and said "Strange people..."

Jonah walked through the woods, he knew that Dragon slayers and hunters were in the area, he knew he was a target because of being a hybrid, he jumped as he heard something, but it turned out to be a rabbit, he decided to change into his werewolf form, that way he could hear and sense attacks better than the human or phoenix form. He let his guard down as he suddenly felt something jump onto his back, the sheer weight made his legs go out, he snapped his head around and saw a male cougar 'Great..' he thought, he snarled and managed to bite a paw which got the cougar off guard, he pushed it off of him and stood up, the cougar leaped and just missed clawing Jonah's eye, he growled and went for the cougar, he got tackled again and almost got a bite to the throat, Jonah kicked the cougar off and shifted into his phoenix form and flew off, he usually wouldn't run away but he didn't know if he could kill a cougar that attacks first so he left it. He landed and shifted back to his wolf form, his injures still bleeding slightly.

Nightshade shook herself off and smelled Jonah bleeding but he was okay and it was healing so she knew he was fine, she scanned the area and slowly stalked through the forest, wary for hunters, she heard a gun go off and she ducked, the bullet just missing her, she looked and saw a hunter, she snarled at him and dodged another bullet, she charged at him and gave him a extremly mild shock just a little below a taser's shock and she ran off. Nightshade looked around again and saw a dark patch where the light wasn't able to come through, she dashed over and lay down in that spot, if you looked closely you could just see the light blue underside but not by much, she was alert and ready to fight or fun but she appeared to be sleeping, even her breathing slow and steady. She twitched and lifted her head, her red eyes looking around for any hunters and she saw none, she growled softly and stretched a little, Nightshade huffed and got up, curling up like a cat with her tail slightly over her muzzle and her head curved to the side, she sighed and started to doze off.

Alex was filing the police report. If Jonah had read the pamphlet he would know he could kill things in self defense. There was an official announcement to remain in human form and 'act normal' so afterwards Alex found the two of them and informed them of it and offered them a ride on two trail horses she had brought with her... Back to the B and B. She'd told them to act like regular people. She went and put the horses back and all of the people staying at her bed and breakfast were on a watch list. Any of them using the gun safes? Alex had a security feed to know when they were open. She started keeping track of her guests. The Major went and was looking for those scientists and he was asking questions. The general above him was one of Alex's best customers and he had his eye on a prize bull elk. He was in the smoking room with a balcony for said smoking and he had a big cigar in his mouth. Alex had connections but she never asked for any preferential treatment. Did she often get it? Yes but she never asked for it. Did she do her best to actually earn such treatment? Yes... Yes she did... The General had asked for her french toast in the morning with cinnamon syrup and real maple syrup from Michigan and she had it all. She considered it a 'Military perk' to be able to pull requests for anything other than on a birthday muffin. But she had this entitled jerk who wanted a continental banging on her door for the demand and she went and flat out told him that it was posted on the wall that members of the military were able to make request unless it was for a birthday muffin in the flavor of their choice. Or they were a cancer paitent. Such is life as a bed and breakfast owner.

Maiko had actually made a sort of friend in the priest. He apparently liked her arts and crafts thing. Her brother was not amused and Elder Chikako showed up with an ofuda of her own. She was a former temple fox and she'd learned the art. "Maiko are you sure you want to be friends with a priest?" The priest saw that and asked why she'd left the temple. "To have cubs temples demand us to be celebate so I left. There was no rule against cubs it was just the priest. So I departed passing the proverbial torch to another." "I have no issue with that story. I was told there were problem kitsune in the area but I can see that was a lie but this seems like a nice place to settle. I would like to discuss the temple with the council. Give another young kitsune the chance to have a temple." Chikako informed him how dangerous it was for magical creatures to be open. "That is a sin." The priest turned his information off to the Major and it answered some questions. The government was extremely upset that their chance to recruit magical creatures was being ruined by rouge scientists. A spy drone was deployed but it was actually shot down by some sort of blast. Another higher altitude one was being sent and when the results came back the place was found and the dead feral was being dissected in a room with a skylight... The stomach contents were being examined at the time [but the details are too graphic to be mentioned here just know it's nasty and disturbing] The alpha of the werewolf pack was furious and wanted to go in and rip those scientists apart. But before the drone could send the location it was attacked by a feral western dragon that destroyed it but not before seeing a control collar of some sort on it's neck and the jaws were not cooperating with the rest of it...

Nightshade stalked through the town, trying to find Jonah, she had planned to keep an eye on him since he started fights, but he wrecked those plans because he slipped away from her and she was tasked with 'Finding him and murdering him' as she had called her plans. He was in hot water when she found him he was on the verge of fighting with another guy "Okay Jonah! Let's go!" she called to him and his response has rolling his eyes and ignoring her 'Oh Jonah, why is he like this?' she wondered to herself as she came over and almost literally dragged him away "Jonah..." she hissed and he rubbed the back of his neck "I got lost...?" it was more of a question than answer "Is that an answer or a question?" she asked him "A....Answer" he mumbled and Nightshade sighed letting the whole subject go. She glared at him and he glared back "Sorry for being a jerk Nightshade" Jonah said and she raised an eyebrow "I don't know what to think about that but okay" she told him, she started walking again, Jonah walked a good distance from her, she was aware of him but she let it go as him being standoff-ish.

Alex was called to council and she saw the overview of the base and then saw the dragon on the video feed and said "The collar is controling the dragon... With the right current along the spinal column it is theorietically possible..." The Genral was like Patton in some ways that sort of swagger but no high pitched voice that Patton actually had. Big cigar in his mouth and he said "Can't just train a feral dragon to do what you want?" Alex said "No... People would have domesticated them if that were the case." Alex had to curb the alpha werewolf and keep him calm... The images from the camera had deeply disturbed him. Alex said "What it would take to force a lung to eat red meat they might steal a turkey chicken or someone's duck but they prefer waterfowl when they eat meat... Otherwise they eat fish." She was taking notes and saw the forcefield "There's a witch involved we could possibly get that legit shinto priest to do something to munitions and try to just blast it off the map..." The General said "I think we need to take it apart from the inside... They've been abduting hikers to work in there all of them human. If we had regular humans trained we could send them in." Alex said "We have one widow..." "We don't have time to train them and we can't risk sending in a creature. They'll be found out in an instant."

Ghost dashed into the reserve, she was sent on a mission though she didn't know why, she knew the collar on her neck will sometimes give a strong shock so she tends to do things she's told, the mission is: Go into the town and cause chaos. So she quietly stalked through the forest, then she smelled many others and saw a town ahead, she sprinted fowards and into the town, she bit and threw one person and nearly mauled another, she ran through the town and just caused chaos like she was told, she snarled at one who had a knife on him, Ghost bit the hand that had the knife then pounced on the person, she snarled and roared and ran into the forest again. She shook herself off and looked around, she smelled deer or something and she ran off because she was starving, she looked at them and singled out one, she attack and brought it down quickly, she ate then got startled with a shock so she had to run off, the deer had scratches because of her claws so it's not hard to tell if something attacked. She stopped running and found some water.

The report came in and the general was not surprised they'd apparently created and then lost these creatures before and Alex was furious that her game was being damaged and wanted to catch the dang thing. To that end she got an estimated weight and a wildlife dude with a dart gun. Spent a whole day in the field and didn't find it until they tried a tracking wand... It was a signal that wasn't on their recorded one and they found the signal and spotted it... A dart was used before it could react to the presence and they'd follow from there cautiously if it attacked there would be a surprise in the form of a snarling Nightling in it's face and she could tank the claws it's primary weapons... It'd break a claw trying... And that would be an extremely painful injury so one swipe and it would just rake off and the animal would realize clawing her was a bad idea... Apparently these people wanted to know where their experiment was at all times. Alex had a tracker on hand for her own 'breeding stock' Idiots didn't think about what they used for their tracking equipment... Alex shifted preparing for it... They didn't have any visible telomatry measuring blood contents so they wouldn't know the thing was darted.

Ghost growled as she felt the dart, she looked over and saw a dragon and a person holding a dart gun, she started running to try and throw them off track, she weaved through the trees swiftly and she nearly fell but she recovered quickly. She stopped and and caught her breath, the collar zapped her and she started running again, she was getting a little dizzy but nothing major, she found a lake and stopped, she walked to the edge and started drinking, she was very thirsty and she had not drank any water at the last water area because she had to run. She jumped as she heard something, she turned around and looked at the area carefully, she gave a screech to see if anything move from it, she saw nothing but knew there was probably something waiting, she growled and started running again, she was starting to slow down because of the dart and the terrain was getting harder to run on, she felt a sharp rock get stuck in her foot, she stopped and starting trying to get it out to no avail, it was in pretty deep, she whined in pain as she stopped messing with the rock.

Nightling managed to lose the trail but found it when it turned into blood and she kept a distance she'd kept the female puma she'd lost kept a deactivated collar with a name Nevada... She had appreciated a reliable puma hopefully one of her adult cubs would fill the role... She found the big male in the area injured and it was a defensive wound from Jonah so she'd just called the vet and had him checked... A new female puma was in the area settling into the now vacated territory. She was young and Nightling actually forgot about the raptor for a moment. Then she remembered and kept following at a distance. She saw the collar and the government was interested in capturing the raptor alive for a training program... She went and kept her distance she'd dealt with darted animals before and she did not need the raptor taking off again. Nightling turned back into Alex and Alex had made it absolutely clear to the general that her reserve was not for raptor training exercises unless he wanted to compensate her for every animal the raptors killed... The general was ok with that arrangement they didn't have to try to steal the property and get in trouble. The raptors were also to be confined during hunting season...

Maiko and the priest were sitting at a cafe drinking tea and talking... The Major was drinking coffee and the priest was actually giving valuable information about the building in question since they had tried to hire him before coming here and elder Chikako was listening in. The priest said "I have taken a vow of modesty and poverty so I was not able to take the job." Chikako said "A priest with morals how surprising..." She'd said it in Japanese and the priest said "You had a run in with a corrupt priest?" "Yes his temple turned over a profit but I was young and foolish so I stayed a while then he decided to cheat on his wife with me and I left because I refused him." The Priest said "You had good reason to leave then. I misjudged you. I apologize..." Shinji was watching construction. The priest said "The pair of you rarely leave construction unattended..." Maiko said "Shinji's idea... He's worried something will go wrong. We are looking into koi fish breeders right now." Chikako said "With all the things that eat fish that is a bad idea..." "We were going to keep them in a tank inside." "That is fine then..."

Suvival of the fittest, mythical animals and extinct creatures exist but no one knows about them.

Your character can have limitless powers, but after 3 any other ones have to have a limit, like: Mind reading, the charcter can't read minds for long or both the mind reader and the other person will get a severe headache. Like that.
