By the time that Darren and his pokemon got to the top of the cliff above Lake Valor, he and Salem were breathing heavily. A light sweat had broken out on the trainer's face, but he didn't seem to care. Catching his breath he asked, "What... how did we do on time Cel?"

The Rueniclus bounced around the two of them happily. 'You beat your previous best by a minute and thiry-three seconds,' she replied in her bubbly, telepathic voice.

"Yes!" Darren thrust his arms in the sky and let himself fall back onto the grass. Zoroark sat down beside him and reached over to the cantine that his trainer was carrying. Snatching it he lifted it to his mouth, careful not to puncture it with his claws, and began to guzzle it down. By the time Darren notice this, Salem had already downed half the water in the cantine. "Hey, leave some for me!" Takling his friend playfully, Darren rolled around in the grass with Salem, trying to get the cantine. After spilling some of the water and scuffling for a moment or two, Darren got the cantine and sat up saying, "Ha, got it!"

Grinning mischeviously, Salem's eyes flashed blue for a second and when Darren turned back to take a drink he found himself holding an Ekans. "Holy son of a Lucario!" Dropping the Ekans, he watched it hit the ground and shatter into thousands of pieces. And there, sitting on the ground, was the cantine. Turning to his pokemon, he pursed his lips and said, "Now that just wasn't fair." Of course, the minute he said this, both his pokemon burst out laughing. These laughs were cut short however, by an eerie howl coming from the lake. Darren looked down, only to be confused by the fact that there was a dense fog covering the area. "What in the world is that?" he asked. Though, when he turned to see if his pokemon had an answer, they were gone. Both of them were now running down the trail that led to Lake Valor, heading straight for the water. Frantically getting up, Darren chased after the two calling, "Hey, wait for me!"

The Arcanine formerly known as Arcy was speeding towards Lake Valor, he called loud every now and then, he hoped that the Lengendary was still there.

He soon reached the top of the hill of Lake Valor, he leapt into the fog and landed almost perfectly, he kept sniffing around, trying to find the Great Pokemon's scent, but had no luck. Though he picked up the scent of a trainer and his two Pokemon, as he neared them, three dark figures appeared in the fog, Arcy ran past them and stopped at the edge of the lake, a few bits of stone and dirt fell into the water creating a few ripples on what used to be a calm lake, his body slightly glowing with a layer of fire, trying to illuminate the lake through the thick fog. He called again, louder this time and waited for a reply.

Mienfoo's ears perked in response to the howl from Lake Valor. 'A legend? Actually pronouncing itself to the world? Amazing! If I could track it down, maybe I could get it's help on how I can become a legend as well!' In his moment of excitement, he turned to see that the Arcanine was already climbing over the wall. 'Hey, wait for me!' the little fighting pokemon called. But it was too late, the Arcanine was already over the wall. 'Crap, now I have to get over by myself.' Looking around, he noticed a few of the other pokemon had come out at the call of the legend as well. A Tauros caught his eye, as it stood nearest to the barricade now. Walking up to it he said, 'Hey, could you do me a favor and stand still for a sec?'

The bull pokemon looked at him quizzically, but decided to nod in agreement. 'Great, thanks.' Backing up a bit, he pulled his hands up and made a frame with them. He looked at the Tauros, to the wall, and then back to the Tauros. 'Alright, here goes nothing.' Sprinting forward, the Mienfoo leaped into the air, executed a few Acrobatics to gain speed and bounced off the Tauros' face with a High Jump Kick sending him over the wall. He landed expertly on the other side with no more than a few blades of grass out of place. Well, and an angry Tauros raging behind him becuase he just got kicked in the face. 'Sorry friend, but I have a legend to catch.' Turning his head in the direction of Lake Valor, he noticed the Arcanine was already running that way. 'Hey, wait up!' the little Mienfoo called as he ran to catch up.

Arcy looked around the lake, paying no attention to the Pokemon racing after him, for his soul intention was locating the Legendary. He began to walk around the lake, making sure he didn't get too close to the water's edge. He had hated water ever since he was a Growlithe when he almost drowned in this very lake, though he could not remember much about the incident, he knows something saved him from a watery grave and was eternally thankfull for it. He looked at his reflection in the lake, though it was murky and blurred thanks to the mist.
Genesect's head shot up.
He heard the call of another legendary, probably one of the dogs.
He could barely hear it, but it was still recognizable.
He wondered if he should go and see what it was about.
He briefly wondered if Sinnoh (It could only be from there, it was the region closest to him) was far enough away from Unova that there would be no signals...
He couldn't even remember much from the blind rage they put him in, and it took all his willpower to do it wonce, he probably couldn't do it again.
He decided that they would come to him if he was needed, which was doubtful.
There were plenty more other legendaries to call on, they could handle it.
It seemed to take forever for the Mienfoo to reach the lake. He was breathing a little heavier than before, but his body was in peak condition due to him being a fighting pokemon and trainging every day. Gazing down on lake Valor, he was stunned to see all the figures surrounding it. He couldn't make out who, but there were at least three of them around the lake, three were edging into the lake, and to his side he noticed two pokemon and a human racing down to the lake. 'They must have heard it too,' he thought to himself. Sweeping his head over the area, he spotted a figure walking seemingly on top of the lake. Though it looked like it was about to leave, and this worried the little fighting pokemon. 'No, I'm not going to miss this chance!' Leaping into the forest surrounding the lake, Mienfoo bolted through it, dodging past a Bayleef and a human, and sliding under Arcanine, he ran as hard as he could around the edge of the lake. 'Legendary, wait! I must speak with you!' he called.
Silas didn't know where to go.
Trainers were wide spread enough that he really didn't have a clue about how to go about this.
So, he decided he would either wait for them to come to him, or he would wait for news.
The news stations were desperate enough that they'd report a battle between two bidoof, a throw away pokemon even by todays standards.
It wasn't even really a pokemon, just a beaver.
So Silas decided to sit down in a rented apartment, and watch the new networks for trainers.
A few hours later, he would definitely be surprised to find out about the legendary.
Arcy looked at the little Pokemon as it slid underneath him, he then followed it's gaze upon the figure in the lake. He barked and walked towards a rock and sat on it, he started to groom his paws and legs, while his tail swept along the rock, his firery glow soon faded away as he groomed. Once he had finished he hopped off the rock and walked to the water's edge and took several sips of water, making sure he did not fall in, while watching for pesky Water-Type Pokemon, wanting some mean fun. Once he had had enough he leapt onto the rock and slowly closed his eyes.

The Suicune knew he had everyones attention as he dashed across the Lake, once again returning back the way he had come, or at least partly. He was a Suicune with a mission now. Coming to a brief stop as he reached the shoreline, the large canine-like Legendary turned his scarred face around, listning to the chittering of nearby pokemons. Smile moved along his face, things was going as they were supposed to go. Paws shifted around as he stepped about, not bothering to dash towards the New Moon Island just yet.

Body stiffed, and Suicune raised his head attentive towards the calling. Snorting softly, he made his way slowly towards the direction of the Mienfoo and Arcanine. Wary of strange pokemon, Suicune kept his distant from the two of them and stopped. Head held up high and those crimson eyes watching with
caution. (Are you alone? No trainer?) He asked with his low voice, and the water legendary looked from the Mienfoo to the Arcanine, then back to the Mienfoo. (Better speak fast little one. I can not stay too long.)

Mienfoo was sure that the legendary going to leave, but that thought was pushed away as Suicune actually turned back and walked closer to him. Shocked somewhat by the fact that he was actually talking to the legend, and partly because of the incredibly powerful aura it carried around it. 'Is that what power you must obtain to be a legendary?' he thought wisfully to himself. Shaking his head he returned back to his mission; becoming a legend himself. Looking up at the Suicune he asked, 'I have come to ask you how I can become a legend like you and the other mythical pokemon. What must I do to achieve the position of a Legendary such as yourself?' Some may have thought he was kidding when he said this, but the little fighter was dead serious. His heart was set on becoming a legend and he was going to do it with or without help. Though he really was hoping that the Suicune would give him some help, or at least some advice.
Graystoke had finally taken a moment to look around and found that he was not alone. To his left there was another trainer and his Bayleef, and to his right two wild pokemon had appeared from seemingly nowhere. 'The call must have brought them here,' he though with a smile. Raina and Rune were staring at the pokemon walking on top of the water, thier thoughts a mystery to Graystoke. Though he could imagine that the two were in awe of the great legend. Daring to move forward, the older trainer inched forward, only enough to where he could get a clear look at Suicune. He wasn't about to get any closer, as he might scare it off or worse, provoke an attack. Graystoke had no clue whether the legend was still friendly towards humans or not and wasn't about to find out if he was wrong. "This is proof, the legends are returning to us. There is hope yet. Now I have no doubt that I can change the world, I simply must find a way to befriend the legendaries and work with them to change things back to the way they were." While he was mostly speaking to himself, it was audiable enough that those nearby might have heard him, but if they did most of them probably didn't care because they were all looking at Suicune anyway.
Darren went stumbling through the forest surrounding the lake as he chased his pokemon and burst out from the tree line only to stumble and hit the ground face first. "Aw geez, that hurt," he said as he sat himself up and rubbed his nose. The first thing he saw was that he wasn't the only one down here. Apparently the sound had attracted quite a few people and pokemon alike. Secondly, both Salem and Cel had stopped at the edge of the water and were staring off across the lake. When he followed their gaze he finally understood why everyone was here; there was something in the middle of the lake. At first he though he was seeing things, but the shape of the pokemon was almost identical to the stories that he had heard of the legendary dog Suicune. "No way, the legends dissappeared years ago, didn't they?" he asked himself in disbelief.

Gauge hardly heard Graystoke, especially as the legend came back.

Tealeaf stared, listening to the speak. He wanted to sigh at the little Mienfoo, being a strange creature. He wanted to shout "you cant just BECOME a legendary!" but didnt. However, he did start to run over toward the legend, Gauge unable to stop him.

"Tealeaf!! Dont!" He knew that he couldnt run after, seeing as the dog might just bolt. He looked to the other trainer there, hoping Tealeaf's reaction wouldnt spark someone else to do something irrational.

Tealeaf ran without fear, however, hoping the legend would stay. He had to meet the dog.

Suicune didn't know how to respond to such bold question from the little Mienfoo. Low chuckle was sounded at him, and the Suicune shook his head (Little one, one does not simply become a legend, you do something of great courage) He said, simply, but before he got the chance to speak more, the first human arrived at the scene. Scowling, the large caninelike pokemon puffed his chest out, getting ready to dash off, but something held him back. Wary legendary glared at the human for a bit longer before he looked at the Mienfoo. (Come little one. We shall make history. Or at least change it.)
The Suicune turned his head, then body, lowering himself just enough for the smaller pokemon to climb up on his back.

Mienfoo had not really expected such a response, and was taken aback at it. 'Something of great courage?' he thought to himself. Running back through the legendaries that he knew of, each one of them had a history behind them of something bold and selfless that they had done. It dawned on him then that the statement was the best advice that the legendary could give him. Determination set once again, he puffed his chest out and responded, 'I shall find my couragous act then, and I will be sure the world will know about it.' Of course, that is when he noticed that the canine legend was readying to leave. However, the bigger surprise was when Suicune lowered himself down and told Mienfoo to come with him. Suicune actually wanted him to come along. Awe swept through him at such a gesture, but he knew that if he didn't take the opprotunity soon, it would be gone. So without hesitation, the little fighter leaped onto Suicune's back and said, 'It will be an honor to play my part.'

Catch That?
Setting
You can be located in any of the five known regions, but try to pick a region in which others are playing so you arent travelling alone. Unova is the most desicrated area and Pokemon are highly scarce here. Sinnoh and Hoenn are least affected (since they're islands and not connected to the main land), but still quite devoid of life, while Kanto and Johto are in between.

Pokemon Centers and Marts still exists but are lumped together (think B&W Version if you've played it) and few and far between. Wild pokemon are also avalible, but are as rare as the trainers who possess them. Professionals of pokemon too are scarce, meaning few Professors, Gym Leaders, etc.

Plot

All across the known Pokemon universe, the critters have become scarce. Where once Pokemon joined human as pets, now dogs and cats have become the household animal. Join with the very few trainers left that are willing to pay large sums of money for their Pokemon, make teams and see if you can bring this ailing species back to it's former glory!

Pokemon have also wised-up. They are harder to catch, harder to train, harder to befriend. Use all your knowledge, as well as the knowledge of others, to win battles, and the hearts, of these pokemon! Who knows, there might even be an Elite Four out there somewhere!

History
Decades after team Plasma was defeated, a second wind of members arose and took power, having worked underground long enough to gain power and liberate Pokemon from the human hand. Suffering a second defeat by the hands of the public, the fools gave up, but not without permanentally changing the course of Pokemon and Human lives. Wild pokemon became hard to find, and the ones left where brought to reserves.

These reserves are the last strongholds of pokemon, acting like a Safari Zone mixed with a breeding farm, all run by breeders and scientists in hope of conserving the dwindling population. People who are interested in owning a Pokemon go to these reserves and buy pokemon now, but, for a large sum of money. Being as rare as they are, not every interested person can afford to own Pokemon, so it's up to those who are truly dedicated to owning and training, and conservation.

There is at least one reserve in each region which specializes in Pokemon for that region. Chose your favorite, or have your character travel! <3

Rules
1) No Godmoding. Example: Dont let your Electric type attack OHKO a ground type pokemon.

2) No Mary-Rue/Gary-Stu. Srsly.

3) Absolutely no killing of Pokemon >:[ ...fainting fine, but no killing >3>

4) Depending on your character's age, you may own only up to 3 pokemon, due to the logical amount of money that it'd take to buy those pokemon. Usually, you should start out with one. If your character is older, you may have up to 6.

5) No Legendaries please. Includes Trios of any kind, but does not include ones that can breed, like Lati@s--just, I dont want to see 5 of them running around. xD Talk to me if you reaally want a Legendary.

6) Keep battles to a realistic length. Also, no blood/extreme battle description--c'mon, it'd Pokemon, not Battle-to-the-Death.

7) Pokemon may have more than four attacks. Within the Anime, it's often seen they have more than that xD plus I'd think they wouldnt forget them so easily. Please keep them to a maximum of like 10 though. :x

8) Chansey, Zoroark, Kecleon, Lucario, etc; ones that you get through event or are extremely difficult to find (especially rare genders) should be extremely limited as well. Shinies go for this rule too.
