Fulfil all your roleplaying fantasies here.
Alright, so i have interest from at least three people that have not signed up yet, and some pretty epic plot devices two are bringing xD so this is gonna get exciting.
Remember to try and space your characters. We can see Giz started in Sinnoh, so let's start someone out there. Remember that each region has a Port, and any character can use the port at any time. If you dont remember where the port is, here's a list:
Kanto = Viridian
Johto = Olivine
Hoenn = Lilicove
Sinnoh = Canalave
Unova = Castelia
If you get lost, or simply need a reminder, refer to PokeEarth for your needs.

Regarding wild pokemon; They CAN be caught, but they're exceedingly rare. Trainers have been known to traverse outside the known regions to look for pokemon, or pokemon strongholds where a new region can be started. Legendaries DO roam, but are much more skiddish than even the rare "common" pokemon.
If we want an all-pokemon side plot, that's totally cool with me ;D In fact, i know i've gotten interest in someone wanting to play a legendary, and i would love to play one myself, so if anyone wants to do an all-pokemon side plot where they hang out 'n hide 'n shiz or something, awesome!
I'll be posting soon, and hopefully one of the other interested members will sign up soon ;D Let's dive in!
Sinnoh sure had some rough terrain, especially compared to Gauge's home land, Johto. However, walking beside the Bayleef was always relaxing, even for tired feet. Even though the bayleef carried the majority of the packs and weight, Gauge still carried a good load, and if the pokemon wasnt going to complain, neither was he.
He'd seen the way some pokemon treated their trainers, and he was forever thankful that Tealeaf loved him. Even Boo, caught on a rare happen-stance, was still grudging toward him, no matter how many years they had been together. That Gengar was terrifying at times, so he gladly left her home when she didnt feel like travelling.
Climbing Route 213, Lake Valor slowly came into view. There he knew would be at least some fish pokemon, seeing as Sinnoh was the least ravaged of the five regions. Some people hypothesised this as the many legendaries of the region guarding it, but ultimately unable to save everything. Legends were fun and all, but until Gauge could see one for himself, they were just legends.
Tealeaf kept his eye out, as he always did, for pokemon of any sort. He was cheerful as usual and waved his leaf to produce Sweet Scent, trying to attract anything. His Everstone necklace bounced against his neck as he walked, both he and Gauge happy with him staying a Bayleef.
A sigh escaped the little creature's lips as he walked through the reserve's forest. Mienfoo rolled his right should and winced slightly from the pain. That arm had been dislocated in a fight earlier that week and he was still getting over it. 'That machamp sure didn't hold back when I asked for an all out fight,' he thought to himself. Of course he did grin after the thought, because much to the surprise of his opponent and the onlookers, Mienfoo had actually won that fight. Glancing down, the everstone tied around his right wrist reminded him of what his goal was. He wanted to become known across the regions as a fighting legend, and just to prove his worth, he aimed to do it without evolving either. Mienfoo had heard some rumors back in Unova about a legendary fighting trio. This got him thinking. If they were real, what he needed to do was track them down and defeat them. Once he did that, it would certainly prove that he had what it takes.
The only problem with this is that he was stuck in this enclosure supposedly waitng for a family to come and buy him. Like he was going to wait for that to happen. Checking the various bandages tied around his limbs and chest, his smile grew a little as he remembered all the battles it took to accumulate them. He had actually been transfered to the Sinnoh reserve partly becuase they needed more variety, but also because he was too much trouble for the people back in Unova. Even here they had to check on him every few hours to make sure he wasn't critically injured, or that he hadn't injured one of the other pokemon too badly. Looking up he saw that he had finally made his way to the border. 'This is the day, I will escape this place!' His eyes swept the wall that seperated him from the outside world as he tried to find a way to manuever over it. That is when he noticed an Arcanine standing close to the wall. 'Hmm, if I could bounce off of its back, I just might be able to reach high enough to get a good foothold and find a way to climb over.' Walking over to the Arcanine, he patted him on the side and asked, "Hey, could you do me a favor?"
Darren stretched his arms as he stepped outside of the Grand Hotel. While most wouldn't think of Darren as rich, he did happen to be fairly wealthy due to his parents being breeders and pokemon breeding being in such demand for the richer families of the the regions. So he himself had actually left home with quite a bit of money, and staying at the hotel wasn't putting too much of a dent in it. Of course, he wouldn't let on how much he actually had, becuase that's what got people robbed. The young man's partners and best friends stood next to him enjoying the coming day. Salem and Cel practically never traveled in their pokeballs, becuase Darren really saw no need for them to. They deserved to explore and experience the same things he did. "Well you two, it's time for our morning run. Where do you think we should start today?" It was always important to Darren to keep himself and his pokemon in good health and fitness. Both the Zoroark and Reuniclus searched for a place that they thought would be suitible and after a moment, Salem pointed over towards lake Valor.
Smiling Darren said, "Good choice. Looks like we may be doing a little hiking too. And maybe we will actually find some pokemon at the lake. Come on." With that decided, the trio began their run. Though, Cel didn't really run she simply floated along beside Darren and Salem. She was mostly their for moral support and just in case something happened and she had to help one of them out with something.
A lone figure appeared from the trees surrounding lake Valor. And from behind it two more came into view in the morning sun. Graystoke stood on the edge of the tree line as he gazed at the lake. The pristine body of water was still and reflected the terrain above like a mirror. "To think, a legendary once called this place home," the older man mused with a faint grin. Raina exchanged a look with Rune and the two already knew that Graystoke was day dreaming again. It didn't last long, because a fog began to roll in and cover the area. "That is strange. I didn't think there would be such a thick fog," he grumbled to himself. "Well, that isn't going to stop us. Come on, we still have a search to do."
The trio had took only a few steps before a shadow flew through the mist and stopped them in their tracks. This appearance was followed by a loud howl rolling over the lake and hit the three practically in the face. "Could this be?" His eyes now wide with wonder, Graystoke looked to Rune and then to Raina. They too, were just as surprised as he was. After all his years of searching and glimpses of the legendaries, had he finally actually found one? "Well let's not just stand here, let's see who exactly is at the lake!" Graystoke was excited now, acting as though he was a child once more, edging ever closer to the edge of the lake with the expectation of finally getting a solid look at an elusive legend.
Both pokemon and human alike froze as the hauting call traveled through the air. They looked to one another, chills running down their spines.
Both started racing down the hill they'd just climbed. Gauge ignored his tired feet; that call was not a normal pokemon call. It was too menacing to be a common pokemon, and much too loud as well.
"We gotta find it, Tealeaf; C'mon!" He said, dashing toward the lake.
"BAY!" Tealeaf cried, as if calling out to the pokemon to stay put.
Both ran into the forest surrounding the lake. The thick clouds of fog enveloped them, a surprise as they'd just been at the top of the hill not 5 minutes ago and there'd been no fog around the lake. Tealeaf followed closely behind Gauge, using his mastery of scents to keep close and not lose him.
The lake came up quick in the dense fog, Gauge having to skid to avoid falling in. Tealeaf reached out and grabbed Gauge's messenger bag sling, pulling his trainer back from the water. Falling on the damp ground, the trainer got up quickly and petted the pokemon's head.
"Thanks Tealeaf... I owe you..~"
The pokemon seemed to half hear. His focus was out over the water, sensing a powerful pokemon. Gauge wasnt in tune with certain things like Tealeaf was, but he could see a faint shadow, and it intreauged him.
Angel lifted his belted muzzle to the sky. From his perch on New Moon island, he and the resident Darkrai had no difficulty hearing the call of another legendary.
The Darkrai sighed. "Must he?"
Angel merely looked off in the distance. The island, other legends knew, was a safe haven for them, Darkrai's protection keeping humans from being nosy around the rock. "He must, Darkrai. For too long have we been silent, cowardly even." He growled and a flare rolled out of his throat.
"Do we dare change things, Angel?" He asked, knowing at least the legend behind Angel's existance.
"I dare, Darkrai." He started, "I fought for humans and pokemon so long ago... this world is... grotesque, a failure, a Trubbish."
Darkrai chuckled. "What do you say we do, White Hero?"
Angel stood quiet. "...I'm not sure..." He closed his blue eyes. "Wait until we need to usher in our own part in the plot, I suppose."
Gauge stood flabberghasted at the pokemon in front of him, watching it's elegant show in simple mesmerization.
It had been a long time since he'd heard the fairytales of a child, telling legends of the rainbow legend bringing life to three unfortunate beings, the legend of the sky snake that stopped the utter distruction of land and sea, the legend of the trio that created emotions, memory and wisdom. But now, the foremost echoed in his brain, the legend telling of a blue dog that walked on water, that ran with the north wind.
Legends were real... And never again would he question that.
Tealeaf too stared at the pokemon, mesmerized. He realized quicker that there was then a purpose for their journey. So far, he and Gauge had just been traveling without aim. But this was an experience neither could ignore or forget.
Gauge dove forward as the Suicune bounded off, Tealeaf just catching him in time so that he didnt go flying off and into the water.
"No!! Stay!!!" He shouted, but the pokemon was gone. He was pulled back onto his butt, staring off as he sat on the wet ground.
Tealeaf gave a soft sound, nudging his trainer to help him snap out of it.
All the doubts that had been rooted in the older man from everyone saying that the legends had all dissappeared and become myths melted away at the site of such a majestic beast. Here in front of him stood the emobodiment of the North Wind, the purifier of water, the legendary Suicune. His mouth hung open as the majestic creature practically pranced in front of him, happy as could be. Raina and Rune stood at their trainer's side, perhaps more astonished at the sighting than he was. Both had believed that the legendaries had left to reside somewhere else in the world and that the rest of them had been left here alone. But this changed everything.
Graystoke didn't wait until the Suicune turned away to run for the lake; he had started for the water the moment he had gathered his senses. Though by the time he reached where the water above his knees, the legendary was departing. Knowing that he wouldn't reach it in time, he decided to stay where he was. "I knew you existed Suicune! I always believed! And I will change the world for the better, you just wait and see!" While this may have seemed quite sudden and nonsensical to say, Graystoke didn't care. He wanted the legend to know that there were still humans out there fighting for the good of pokemon and trying to restore the world to its previous glory. Rune and Raina were standing by there trainer now, as they too watched the pokemon of myth call out to them before turning to make his way back to where he came from.
The inquisitive Arcanine looked at the MienFoo, then looked away before answering it's question and flicked his ears, hearing the howl of a Legend, though it was faint, he knew it was real and not a prank by some of the teens on the island, he barked loud and backed up studying the barricades keeping the Pokemon trapped in this reserve. He was around 6ft tall and almost as high as the barricade. He decided to use a flamethrower on the barricade before he did anything else, testing it's strength.
After the flamethrower the barricade glew red and orange, though it had been heated to extreme temperatures it had not been obliterated or melted, only scorched for it was built to house all kinds of Pokemon. He made a soft call and ran, clawing at the barricade, wanting to get out, he scrambled up the wall and managed to get his front legs over it and the rest soon followed, he looked around, then sniffed the ground and looking up, his ears flicking around, trying to locate the source of the call. Once he found it, he ran off into the bushes and towards Lake Valor.
All across the known Pokemon universe, the critters have become scarce. Where once Pokemon joined human as pets, now dogs and cats have become the household animal. Join with the very few trainers left that are willing to pay large sums of money for their Pokemon, make teams and see if you can bring this ailing species back to it's former glory!
Pokemon have also wised-up. They are harder to catch, harder to train, harder to befriend. Use all your knowledge, as well as the knowledge of others, to win battles, and the hearts, of these pokemon! Who knows, there might even be an Elite Four out there somewhere!
