Violet hissed. "Why should we let him? He did not work fr it, he has not earned it, and why should he get any?" she growled, glaring at the new creature. It was very weird looking but violet had just about been weirded out by the days events. "Now if her was willing to take on a actual, in the flesh shione," here she straightened up and held her head high, "I'd have to say he is ether brave, stupid or maybe a mix of both. After all, were the baddest things around." She said, full of herself once more. The way she saw it, she was near invincible and could kill anything that attacked her before it killed her. Of course, this was far from the truth, but Violet was always running head first into stuff, regretting it, promising herself she would stop, and do it all over again as usual.

Toumas held back a laugh at the creature that stood up to him. "Hoo said I wanted any of yerr food thar?" he asked, his words still slurred. It was probably because of how his teeth were that his words slurred, but he never noticed since it was the norm for him. Toumas grinned, showing off some teeth as his tail twitched at the thought of playing with the brave creature. Before he could lunge and pin her down, however, another creature spoke up to challenge him. He was still amused by the fact that they all stood up against him for just mentioning the food, but was immidately snapped out of it when he realized that the second creature, who called herself a shione, thought she was badder than he was. He leaped over the first to face the shione head on, a smile still on his face.

"Ya think yerr tough huh? Well I'mma Narnoctator, and I think we're pretty tougher than yeww are," he half growled, half taunted. Toumas decided that he would toy with the shione instead, as this one seemed more filled with energy.

Violet's scales turned bright red in the blink of and eye, her claws stuck straight out, and her teeth were bared. She began to circle the creature, judging where the best place to bite it was  In the leg? no, it could easily attack her back. The back? It was out of range. The neck? To risky. "I'v only heard the names of creatures that I  should avoid. If I add that together... that makes none. If I bite you, you die, if I scratch you and it gets infected, you die, if I drown you, you die, if I suffocate you, you die. If You fight me, your odds of living are maybe equal 1 percent. Do you still want t mess with me?" she was boasting a whole lot, in fact, a dangerous amount. When violet got made, she boasted, when she boasted, she got into fights, when she fought weaker creatures, it made her boast more. It was truly a never ending cycle.
"Pfft, yeww drown me? I'm one of teh best swimmers in my tribe, nuthin can drown me! An yeww don't look that bad, I've fought worse, an that bright color of yerr's stands out nicely in teh dark, may I add," Toumas continued to taunt, also circling the other creature, ready to jump at any moment. Toumas wasn't the best climber, but from swimming half his life his legs were strong enough to get some air. To be honest, he didn't even want to hurt the other creature. It was too much fun to get her riled up and he'd miss his new play mate if he killed her off quickly. Maybe he'd go for a bite of the food and play tag. That sounded like a nice plan, but he didn't want to be counted as a chicken. Maybe he'll just get the food and keep dodging. That sounded like a better plan. He planned on executing his second idea, ready to pounce as soon as he saw the other creature lunge.
This "other creature" that lunged was Trallune, who, until now, had been hiding in the darkness.  He pinned the other creature down, one leg on each leg.  WHen the thing struggled, Trallune pushed his claws farther into it's paws.  His tail waved menacingly.  "There are two reasons you shouldn't mess with us at night." he seethed quietly.  "One, you can bet your life on the fact that I can see in the dark better than you.  Two, I have six pointy ends, while you have only five." Trallune waited for this idiot creature's response.  It was one thing to be easily angered, as in Violet's case, but to anger other animals on purpose?  That was stupid with a capital, bold, underlined S, not to mention the other five letters!  Why had Trallune pounced him?  Because a personification of anger would be blind and dumb.  That stupidity would no doubt damage the food, not to mention Trallune.
It is now dark out, somewhere aroun 10-11 pm. It is pitch black and the air is charged with static. A storm will come in tomarrow and the night air says it's going to be a bad one.
Toumas continued to have his stupid smile on his face while the "other creature" pounced, not seeming to care that he was pounced. "Ey'd like ta bid that I could see better than yeww, an just 'cause I only got five point doesn't mean nuthin," Toumas could feel the claws digging into his skin, but he shrugged it off for as long as he could. "An guess whaat, this ain't meh' first time bein pinned like this," Toumas added before trying to push the other creature off, though he had him pinned well. The air was starting to unnerve toumas as well, it seemed as if a storm was coming in soon, and Toumas wasn't fond of storms. They made the water choppy and not enjoyable. Toumas flicked his tail in slight irritation, but tried to think up of another plan. "Ya know, this is all just a plan of mine, yeww'll see soon," Toumas whispered, his words slurring together a little bit more than usual.
Trallune growled softly, and debated whether to kill stupid and risk taking individual.  It would be a gift to the evolution of his kind, but Trallune had killed one of these before, and they did not taste good.  He also didn't like to waste things, due to the nasty and dangerous invertibrates it could attract.  That bet the creature had made was a stupid one.  Now that the heat wasn't blinding, Trallune could clearly see the heat of the two mammals reflecting off of many other things, the same with mammals in the forest.  Mammals were a light source, along with birds, from Trallune's point of veiw.  They could be seen the most clearly, but the heat already in the the surrounding area, along with mammilian heat, lit everything up.  This world was never dark, and, more often than not, blinding.  As if to prove his point about seeing in the dark, he caught a predatory insect, flying around in the air, with his tail and brought it down for Toumas to see.  Not only were the moon and stars blocked by clouds, but the moon was only a sliver.  Then, he got off of Toumas, and said in a soft voice, the voice a personifcation of death might have, "I don't like to waste things".  And stood, creepily still, protecting the food suply from this thing, which reselmbled a larger version of the little rat thing he had befrineded, only it's heat signature was closer to a rodents.
Violet stood, astonished at the insect the Kru had caught. She still didn't know his name but dang, that was cool. She saw him standing over the food pile and stood next to him. Being a reptile, she did have heat sensors, but they had begun to vanish from her kind, and now it was a faint glow in the night. Her normal vision hid the heat in the day, but night time was when she noticed it, but she knew that the Kru's vision was better, she hadn't even seen the insect thing! "If you mess with my friends. You mess with me. And when you mess with me, you can guarantee I wont go down with out a fight." she said. her scales were now a deep red, with black here and there, signaling she was defensive, and had rational thinking now. Violet stood tall proud of herself, of her friends, and of the pathetic life anything managed to carve for its self.
Toumas smiled a stupid smile, as he didn't want to show his attacker that he was impressed with the catching of the insect. Toumas never did encounter a creature like the one that was pinning him down, but it didn't bother him. When the other creature got off him and threaten him, Toumas rolled over so his paws were under him and stood up, his gaze switching between the two creatures. They were both on edge to attack him, which slightly worried him, but he didn't show it. That would basically be death for him, if the first creature he ticked off didn't kill him first. She looked downright mad with the deep red pigment to her scales. "Yeww know, I didn even do anythin to any of yeww, why are yeww so defensive? Besides, I could take yeww, those red scales of yerr's don't help yeww out none," Toumas said to the reptilian creature that spoke up. He quickly glanced around once more, so if he had to run, which was unlikely unless they all ganged up on him at once, he could have some idea of where he was going. "What, just cause I came 'ere to have some fun means I gotta deal with yeww?" Toumas added, just to get the creature riled up.
"The supreme idocy." Trallune growled under breath.  "No, just because you came does not mean you have to deal with her." Trallune said in a louder voice.  "You have to deal with her because you are getting her angry.  What is the wisdom of picking fun?  The most likely ending for you is death, not to mention bodily torture directly before death.  To make an educated guess, I'd say that either you are extremely inbred, or else your species is devolving into filter feeders, because you are the most reckless and idiotic mammal -strike that- vertabrate I have ever met.  That insect I caught was smarter than you; at least it struggled after I caught it.  If I killed you now, It would be a service to the gene pool of your species, filter feeders or not."  Trallune was clearly having second thoughts about holding off on the kill.
Feyru trudged through the forest, weary from her journey. She sniffed the air. Sea water. The ocean must be nearby. Feyru felt herself placing each foot in front of the other, but she was beginning to think about collapsing, she was so exhausted. But, she continued on, her sight slipping, and her steps more forced. Finally, she felt the grainy texture of sand underneath her claws, and became more focused. Feyru was not only tired from her trip, she was also rapidly getting hungrier. Feyru grunted, and heaved herself , trying not to fall over from exertion. Weary as she was, Feyru scented the air, searching for prey, perhaps a small creature. Catching a whiff of other animals, Feyru scanned the area and saw a small group of creatures, far off in the distance. "Great." Feyru thought sarcastically. Turning her head, she searched about for a long while, finally spotting a medium sized animal not to far off. It looked like it was sleeping, or maybe just having a small rest. "Well," Feyru said to herself, "May as well try to make a kill, I'm closer to this thing, anyways." She headed off, silently stalking the creature.
She had given a small yawn, the querrel between her masters and the new visitor had been seemingly stealing time from her sleep. But she kept weary, she didn't want to have the risk of being killed in her sleep. She had climbed a low hanging tree, trying to relax. She now had regretted what she had said to the newcomer, how much longer could they argue? It seemed like it would last eternity. She was in pouncing range for a creature on the ground, but she was too tired to care. It felt as if weights were attatched to her eyelids, closing them lower and lower. The temptation of a good nights rest had forced her to sleep. Finally she could bear no longer. She now had fallen asleep unaware of danger, and far away enough from her masters that it was possible to hunt her unnoticed in safe range.
It was getting a bit darker, and Feyru was getting closer to the creature. It looked mammalian, but had small, beady lizard eyes. Definitely not a threat to her. As Feyru neared the mammal, she noticed it's small, but sharp, serrated fangs. "Hmmm," Feyru thought warily, "Better watch out for those." Though the animal was small, it might still be able to do some damage to her, maybe even get under her scales. Feyru came up behind it, careful not to make a sound. The creature plodded along, unaware of its impending danger. Feyru crouched, head low to the ground, and leaped into the air, long tail steadying her. As she came down, her body in an intense torpedo shape, Feyru oped her jaws, and made the bone crunching snap to the animals neck, almost severing its head from its torso. Feyru grunted greedily, very ready to sink her teeth into her kill. The animal was bitter, but a great improvement to Feyru's hunger. Feyru swiveled her head around, trying to find the group of other creatures. Plodding off, Feyru began to make her way to the animals, hoping to find company.

Violet's tail flicked furiously, her scales became the color of a bright ember. She growled but held her ground. Her thoughts had become rational for maybe the second time, when she was angry. The first was with the little rat thing.

"You, as of now, are a threat to us, and there for will be dealt with accordingly. My bite is venomous, with deadly bacteria that cause everything from seizures and hallucinations to pain and suffering. It is not a fun way to end a pathetic life such as yours. You are fully capable of obtaining your own food, we worked hard to earn this, and you have done nothing. If you are able to provide something in return, maybe we can work out a trade, but as of now, you have no use to us."

Her meaning was plain. 'Give something in return or we kill you. Stay and we kill you.' It was harsh, but she never was the pretty butterfly type anyways.
