Roleplaying

Rashka had made back to the clearing in time to see Fireclaw give his speech. Rashka almost couldn't contain himself when he saw the red pelted lion. Fireclaw had started a long string of hatred and but a target on his own back. Before he had returned to the clearing, Rashka has cleaned himself up by the river. The liger then saw his mate and walked over to her to listen to the rest of the speech that was being given. Rashka wondered how exactly these prides would unite. Who would lead? I guess he'd find out soon enough. The liger was worried for his mate and unborn cubs. He also did want his place as heir to be disturbed.

"The king of the other pride was kind enough to let Scar be king. They are really nice! You have to believe me or we will all be killed. When I am a skin being used for a carpet, they can walk all over my feelings and life. But if that happens, I am not going down without a fight. Our area is doomed. If we fight each other and not the poachers, we will ALL die. If we don't we will have more protection for the cubs, mothers, and we would have more lions to protect one another. I don't like dooming my own kind. I would never kill other lions. When I almost killed Scar, which I regret, I didn't wan t to kill him. So I left him unconscious. Go ahead. Start a war wioth the other pride and doom the area of our species. Or you can see how nice they are, and unite to rise above the poachers and live." Said Fireclaw.

Elska narrowed her eyes and screamed at Fireclaw ,"What will you do if some of us don't agree?! Kill us?! Maybe we don't want to become one pride! I want my cubs to be born with friends and family, not strangers! What if we don't get along?! We would kill eachother!". Elska charged at Fireclaw but two lionesses held her back. "You and Ken are traitors! I never want to see your fiery pelt again!" Elska screamed. The lionesses dragged Elska into the den. "Let go of me!" Elska screamed. The lionesses ran out and Elska sat there. She realised she had acted like a cub. Elska looked out of the den and stared at Fireclaw. She wanted to tear his fiery pelt into shreds. "We should've left him in the poacher truck..." Elska muttered to herself. Scar looked at Elska and gave a small nod. Elska decided to scream one last thing. "Maybe your new pride is scared! They're probably scared that they're weaker than us!" Elska screamed and slunk back into the den. She didn't want to hear those traitor's voices ever again. Scar walked into the den and said "Maybe we should leave the jungle. The other pride obviously wants our territory...". Elska ignored him and curled up, wishing the world would end somehow.

" Elska, I wouldn't kill another lion and if we don't unite, your cubs have a great chance of death. Please! I was just angry that Scar wanted to kill cubs. How would you feel if you were in that prides position? 3 or 4 lions wanted to attack so then they attacked us. But their leader didn;t approve. They still attacked and were kicked out of the pride. Then suddenly, another pride wants to come and kill your cubs when you have gotten rid of all the trouble. Go ahead, hate me, don't listen, fight with the other pride, and die. I am trying to help. I regret everything I have done that is bad. I'm sorry. Said Fireclaw. 

Scar stood up and said ,"Enough. Elska's cubs aren't at any risk of death, Fireclaw. We've handled poachers before. I'm sorry, but we aren't interested in your offer. If you just want our territory, we can leave.". Many pride members were whispering to eachother. "Fireclaw, you can chose where your loyalty lies. I don't think we care about the pride. We just want to be left alone. I think everyone wants to go back to their normal lives." Scar said. He looked at Ken and felt sad. Ken had been so loyal to the pride. Scar sighed and said ,"Ken, you also can chose where your loyalty lies. Same for everyone here. I want nothing to do with the other pride. If we have to, we'll leave.". Elska nodded. Scar looked around at the other pride members. Most were mummering agreements, others were silent. Scar looked at Fireclaw and said ,"Fireclaw, I just want my pride to be at peace. I want no other prides to join ours. I don't mean to be rude, but it would be more dangerous with a bigger pride. We'd have to feed so many, have the risk of poachers targeting us, and many other things. Tell the other pride's leader that we can leave tomorrow if we have to.".

Elska walked up from behind Fireclaw. She whispered ,"Meet me by the pond after the meeting.".

Elska waited for Fireclaw and when he came, Elska said ,"Fireclaw, I'm so sorry! I don't know if you'll ever forgive me.". Elska looked at Fireclaw and continued ,"Remember, Fireclaw, that Scar doesn't say I forgive you right away. I'm sure he'll let you stay in our pride, but you'll probably have to prove that you can be trusted again. Also, I have an idea. Scar doesn't want strangers in our pride. Maybe three or four of those lions from the other pride can ask to join our pride? You would probably have to choose the one's going to our pride, though. It might not work, but why not try? Anyways, we should get back to our pride.".

Rashka was torn between the ideas. He knew letting the other pride join them would be for better defense, but he also just wanted his life to stay the same. He suddenly got angry and walked over to Scar. "Scar, why should we let them have our territory? It isn't theirs and i don't think we should just hand it over to them. They don't deserve it, plus it would make us move somewhere else, risking the possibly of injury, the loss of lives, and poachers. I think you should tell them we are not leaving the clearing. We will suffer many losses of we do." Rashka said honestly to Scar. He then looked over to his mate, whom was conversing with the Fireclaw.

Scar sighed and said ,"You're right, Rashka. I think we should chase off the other pride if they attempt anythinng dangerous. For now, I think we should ask the pride to move somewhere else in the jungle. If they try to chase us out of the jungle, we're obviously not going to leave without a fight. It depends on how big the pride is, if they're huge I think we should find a new place for the cubs in our pride. I'm worried that if we don't agree to join as one pride they might attack us. I feel so stupid for saying that, I honestly do.".

" It's okay, Elska. I forgive you. I really want to join our pride again. I will do anything to join again. Also about the few lions joining the pride, that'd be perfect because there are only a few in their pride after the attacker lions were driven out. The bright colored one is Tooth. The brown-ish one is breeze, and the grey-ish one is Stone. They have 2 cubs and the old male they are with is Alparslan. They are really nice. The cubs are only 2 months old so they probably won't be much trouble. Oh and uh Stone and... Nevermind lets just get back to the pride." Said Fireclaw.

"Don't be hard on yourself Scar." Said Rashka gentley. "You only meant to protect the pride. You better go tell the other lions we are not giving them our land and they must move. I will join you Scar in case they try something. My size intimidates most lions." Rashka told Scar. He wanted to help Scar resolve this issue and he wanted to keep Elska and his cubs safe. Rashka knew if the other pride would not leave, he would do everything required to protect his pride and his family. His thoughts ran wild as him and Scar walked up to the leader's rock.

The setting takes place in a beautiful jungle. Okapi, Bongo, and rarely elephant calves and hippo calves are your pride's main prey. The forest is full of life, and dangers. The pride faces poachers and their traps, larger animals, and poisonious creatures. The pride lives in a clearing in the heart of the jungle. The clearing consists of dens, a pool of water, and a cave like place for storing prey. The cubs and their mothers sleep in the large den together. Adolescents also share this den, but prefer to stay away from the cubs. Once a cub turns into an adolescent, their mother can leave the den and stay in a larger den. This den is for any adult pride members, but the king, queen, and their cubs. The smallest den is for the leader and his mate. These lions are called the King and Queen. Unlike most cubs, theirs stay with them until they're adults, and then they move to the adult den.

Life of a Lion

Life as a lion is tough! You must worry about poaching, illness, starvation, war, etc. all the time! You must help your pride survive!

As the night went on, the rain grew heavier by the minute. Screeches made by unknown creatures echoed in the strange place. The pride wanted to turn around, but poachers had taken over their old territory. "I want to go home!" A tiny cub cried. Her mother said nothing as the cub resting on her back squealed it louder. The king of the pride looked at the cub and said to the little cub ,"Starlight, you know we cannot go back. It's either come here or die." His words didn't help at all. The cub started crying until she fell asleep. The pride were soaked, starving, and weak. Some cubs and adolescents were ill. They stoped in a clearing, thunder waking up the tiny cub. The king looked around the clearing and smiled...
