This is a pokemon rp, but with a twist. It's also a survival rp, now many of you may be wondering how do urvival and pokemon fit together? Well read the plot to find out!

Joe looked around as he walked through a route to a town. He saw a few wild pokemon playing in the grass. He knew a corrupted pokemon could come out and attack him at any minute.

 

Why do people even stay here with all this risk? Why do they bother rebuilding towns knowing something bad could happen at any time? Why have so many bad things happened to this region?

 

These were all questions that bounced around in his head. As he saw the next town's entrance he ran to it, only to be pounced on by a corrupted arcanine. It growled and he struggled to get up as he looked into it's bright red eyes.

 

"HELP!" he screamed as he pulled out a knife that someone in the first town gave him and stabbed it repeativly when it tried to bite him. But it wouldn't get off.

Kin heard of a town where the legendaries gathered once a year or so. But she couldn't go there and wait around for Xernias and Yvital. She knew where they were said to live in Kalos. She could find them there. She was in a mountain cave with Drake. He was eating and resting up for the next flight but ready to go into the ball at an instant's notice. Gin was sitting there having brought down the stanler that they were all eating and he had cooked. There were berries and other wild edibles. Akane had large amounts of grass she was eating. She did not like to be up here but few pokemon could make the climb or fly. They were close to that town. Kin and Gin were discussing heading into that town and possibly waiting for the legendaries to come to them. Xernias was said to be very giving to mortals who it deemed worthy and Yvital might be able to steal the life forces of the infected pokemon as a way to deal with it. Now that they thought about it... Mewtwo had seen the inside of a lab and might remember enough to find a cure. If he even showed up to this sort of meeting that is... Kin and Gin knew Mewtwo would be hard to convince, but Yvital would be even harder. When everyone had finished eating Kin put them back in their balls. A stray espeon had made the climb and was sitting in the sun sniffing around for the food. Kin saw it saw her and ran off before peeking it's timid head inside. It wasn't infected but it was hungry. Kin got down low and said soothingly "It's alright come and eat if you're hungry. You aren't here to hurt anybody... Come on I don't bite." Kin pushed meat and berries at the pokemon who came into the cave and sniffed. It ate the food offered and then ran off again clearly frightened of Kin. Kin went to the back of the cave and nodded off. If this little pokemon was uninfected she knew she was safe enough to sleep. She awoke to the espeon staring at her with it's eyes glowing. Future sight... Kin wasn't sure if it was an attack or if the pokemon was seeing what a future with Kin might hold. She knew that if the espeon had wanted to try to kill her it had just had a chance. But it might not have made up it's mind just yet so Kin stayed still and waited for the pokemon to make the next move...

Flight flew over a mountain and looked down. He saw a few pidgey on top. He quickly swooped down and viciously attacked the poor things. After they were very weak that they could barely move he opened his beak and bit into them. Their eyes glowed red and they got back up, the corrupted power powering them.

 

They flew down to the entrance of the cave, and saw an espeon using future site on a trainer.

 

"Pidgeot!" Flight called as he walked into the cave and used gust on the espeon and trainer. The smaller pokemon ran and Flight and the corrupted pidgeys quickly walked towards the trainer.

Ronald was just having an ordinary day i his cave, hiding from the monsters outside. He doesn't have much to do. He hopes he will once find a trainer who will capture him and keep him safe. But until that happens he will have to stay in his cave, sneaking out occasionally to look for berries. He loves oran berries, partially because of the colour, he likes blue. Now Ronald is going to look for food, he gently pushes aside the rock he uses as a door and looks outside if there are any corrupted beasts, he finds none. He leaves his 'house' and starts looking for food, he quickly gather some berries and starts to head back. he finds a corrupt bulbasaur in front of his cave! Ronald Immediately hardens his skin so he is protected better against the bites. he then knocks the bulbasaur on the head, turning him unconscious because of the metal armor. He quickly goes inside and places the rock in front of the cave, he made it out alive.

Kin got up when she saw the pidgot and drew her knife. She'd wait for it to charge and cut it's wing tendons crippling it that might scare the others off. The espeon came back and slunk around watching the events unfold. Kin waited patiently for the pokemon to make it's move so she could cripple or even kill it before scrambling down the path and finding a spot to have her salemence take off and cover another huge chunk of ground. But an unexpected surprise came when the pidgey were blasted away by a power gem blast from the espeon only to be knocked out and fall to their no doubt deaths at that height... Kin picked then to lunge and the knife made contact...

Joe decides he has to send out a pokemon to help him. He quickly sends out Blastoise.

 

"Use hydro pump to get this thing off of me! And go into your shell whenever it tries to bite you!"

 

Blastoise then charged up water in it's cannons and shot them out at the arcanine. Since they were in front of the town entrance, it knocked the arcanine into the town. The arcanine snarls at the blastoise and then pounces on a town resident, ripping the resident to pieces. Other residents take shelter in their homes, screaming. The arcanine looks around and then begins eating the dead human he just killed.

 

"This is bad, really bad!" Joe tells blastoise, blastoise nods.

 

"Ok use hydro pump and use the strategy i said before!

 

Blastoise obeys and the arcanine dodges, it then stares at blastoise, growling.

Flight squacks in pain, the knife hitting him in the chest and drawing blood. He then uses gust and quickly flies outside, glad that he put his wings to his sides when she attacked.

 

He flies around and sees the corrupted arcanine that Joe is about to battle.

 

He swoops down next to it to help it, still squacking in pain. He proceeds to use gust on a nearby wooden house multiple times, making it fall apart. As a few residents try to fight back, the pidgeot attacks them merciously before they can send out their pokemon. He leaves the bodies and goes next to the corrupted arcanine.

Joe watches in horror as he sees several corpses and a pidgeot with a knife in it's chest. The pidgeot looses tons of blood resulting in it's death, it falls on the ground with some blood around it.

 

"What has team plasma done to this once colorful world?" Joe asks himself.

 

"Blastoise we need to stop this terror! Use water gun and then rapid spin!"

 

Blastoise nods and launches water towards arcanine, who takes the hit directly, blastoise then goes into his shell and spirals towards the pokemon, nearly defeating it.

 

As it struggles to get up Joe calls a final order,

 

"Hydro pump!" he yells, blastoise shoots full on water at the pokemon, defeating it.

 

"I wish i didn't have to do this, but it's the only way to kill it!" Joe then grabs a knife and goes to stab it multiple times.

 

He then looks at the knife in the pidgeot's chest and pulls it out.

 

"Hmm, must be a survivor nearby that can fight..."

Kin, Gin, and Ryu were looking for that knife when they saw the dead pokemon and people. Kin however saw the boy holding her knife and plucked it from his hands. "I'll take that back. Thank you for finding it and taking care of that menace." Kin saw that espeon from earlier and it rubbed her leg. "Hello little one did you decide to join us after all? Or do you just want more food?" The little pokemon looked at Ryu and hid behind Kin. "Sweetie he isn't going to hurt you. He's a friend of mine." The timid pokemon came back out with one of Kin's pokeballs in it's mouth and pretty much caught itself. Kin put her other pokemon away. "So stranger thanks again for finding my knife... I'm Kin."

She saw the dead arcanine and said "Such a shame that such a goregeous pokemon had to get infected like that. You know if you'd had your blastoise stomp it's skull you wouldn't have had to stab it. But then you risk bone shards going into it's foot. My salemence has ended a few infected by using crunch on their necks." Then Kin saw people staring at her. Great... She said "I have to run. I can't stay too close to towns because that's where the infected pokemon are." She brought Akane out of her pokeball and took off on her back. Akane doubled as an early warning system because she could sense an infected pokemon and went into her ball very quickly. This gave Kin an early warning and a chance to draw her knife. She was good at landing on the fly like that.

Mai was in the wilderness on Shika's back with Shogun walking along beside her. "My lady we haven't been able to aquire samples in some time do you think we should be going back to the lab in Kanto?" "Shogun we need an original test subject. I have a list my friend managed to hack off team Plasma's computers. So we should be able to spot it. Then it's a quick flight on Sora's back to get the samples back." "Very well. When do we get to the next town?" "Should be coming up soon so stay on guard. In fact I think I'll walk myself." She put Shika back in the ball and resumed the trek on foot putting Shogun in the ball as well. She did not need him infected...

Kin was deep in the wilderness when she ran into a normal pack of houndoom. Once she let Ryu out of his ball they scattered. She put him back in the ball to rest some more. Kin picked up the pace going deeper into the wilderness heading to that town. The place where legendaries gathered. She'd decided to wait there for Xernias and Yvital. Mewtwo was all over the place and next to impossible to track down. She wondered if he'd show up to the meeting of legendary pokemon. He was after all a man made pokemon and not technically considered a legendary pokemon. Some legendary pokemon there were more than one of so they technically weren't really legends just obscenely rare. The Lugia from the Orange Islands was a legend despite the fact there was more than one lugia. Latios and Latias were male and female counterparts. If a Latias produced male offspring it would be a latios. [This is also how tauros and miltank work out. If a female only pokemon species produces a male offspring it will be either the father's or the male counterpart's species they just don't have that worked into the games is how I figure it.]

Kin and Akane made their way in deeper and higher up the mountains leaving that kid and his blastoise farther and farther behind. Akane could not carry two not up hills this steep. In fact Kin was about to start walking to save her pokemon the effort. After a little while further Akane stopped to catch her breath and Kin put her in the ball. Ryu didn't have room to take off here so Kin had to walk herself. It was a long and slow trek but she found shelter along the way in the form of an abandoned pokemon den under a tree. She didn't unpack anything because there was still a chance an infected pokemon could find them so she slept on the ground after dressing more warmly to prevent a chill. She'd hidden in the back of the den out of the oncoming storm. Kin dozed off peacefully. A fair number of pokemon walked right past her and the only ones who found her were a pack of mightyenna who decided to shelter in the den. They didn't smell any food and left the girl in peace for some reason. She wasn't posing a threat to them and they were tired.

Joe looked over at blastoise and blastoise looked at him.

 

"So we finally found another survivor that isn't too scared to fight those infected pokemon, and they just left us here" Joe explained. Blastoise looked back in the direction the trainer had left and growled.

 

"Don't worry blastoise, I have an idea" Joe said as he returned blastoise.

 

"Alright, I need your help!" Joe said as he threw an ultra ball. Out of the ball emerged a large green dragon pokemon, known as flygon. Hoe jumped onto the flygon and it flew into the air, Joe looked around for the trainer. "That person may be able to help me cure these pokemon without hurting them, or hurting them any more that is.

Kin came out of the mightyenna's den and saw the flygon carrying the boy. She let Gin give them a telepathic message "You kid. Stop following us. We don't need a potential liability. You and your pokemon are more mouths to feed and the rapidash can't carry both of you on her back. Not up these hills and across these cliffs. We're working on a plan. My human is sorry but the larger a group the more likely infected pokemon are to find us. We've lasted this long by staying off the grid and keeping to ourselves." Kin stood there watching the boy and letting her ninetails explain the situation. Why they had to go it alone. An espeon could prove more of an asset with future sight and the move sunny day to clear the weather. More than made up for the fact that it was another mouth to feed. But this kid would be their responsibility if he joined up. Sure he handled that arcanine but she'd wounded the pidgot before then and it died of wounds she'd inflicted. Kin put her pokemon away and used the skills she'd picked up in Koga's gym back in Kanto to simply vanish from view. She went deeper into the forest and higher into the mountains. There were no powerful infected ground based pokemon this far out. Only the stray flying types. It was too steep and hard to climb. Only the small agile ones could get up this far. Kin was small and light with good endurance. This kid she doubted could keep up with her.

Mai saw the flygon go overhead but stayed quiet. She like that Kin girl had picked up training from the poison specialty gym while she was studying poisons and antidotes. In fact they were quite insistant that she studied those arts. They'd known about this infection before anyone else in Kanto. They saw doctors like Mai who were willing to learn their ways as a chance to find a cure. So they trained her. Now she was gathering samples from various killed pokemon. She had her targets the originally infected. Paitent zero if you will. To take out an infection you had to find the source and deal with that. Then you follow the trail and clean up the mess. Mai and the other doctors were still hunting the source. Some were trying to trace the evolution of the sickness using samples. But without a patient zero they couldn't develop a vaccine or a cure. A mew or ditto would have to be the one the vaccine was tested on for one simple reason. They were the most basic pokemon. A mew could donate tissues to any other pokemon with a matching blood type and if ditto had organs it could no doubt do the same. Mew was the answer once they had patient zero.

In a region called Darkma, many bad things happened in this region before, but nothing this bad. Pokemon from all regions can be found here and we may go to other regions later in the rp.

This is where team plasma's new lab is, high on a mountain near legend town. Above this town on a huge cloud all the legendaries meet as well. Legend Town is the only named town, as a lot of towns were destoryd in the past and had to be rebuilt, people didn't bother to name them. This town has survived disasters in the past because it's legendaries protect it. But can they this time?

Many trainers, gym leaders, elite 4 members, and teams from other regions come here sometimes.

Team Plasma has joined back together and have made a chemical that makes pokemon disobey their trainers. They swore that once it was a sucesss they would set their pokemon free. They tested it on their own pokemon and, these pokemon did more than disobey them. They tried to kill them. They vicously attacked them. They showed no mercy, unlike wild pokemon that just fight your pokemon as self defense.

After a few team plasma scientists died, the pokemon went to attack other trainers. The trainers sent out their pokemon to fight back these pokemon, but their pokemon were bitten and turned evil as well. You see, when ever one of these pokemon bites another pokemon, it becomes corrupted as well. It also turned out these scientists had special guns and weapons for emergencies in their equipment. In their lab they have hidden equipment like guns and knives and other things the pokemon world has never seen!

Tons of trainers have lost their pokemon and even more had died trying to fight the pokemon off themselves. Many of these corrupted pokemon have recieved many nasty wounds and scars from trainers using knives agaisnt them.

It's all explained in the plot pretty much.

3. Don't get too graphic, a little bit of blood is fine.

 

4. Canon characters and OC's are allowed, but if you are to be canon, you should act like how that character would act. So if you be Ash don't act like he's all tough and mean because he isn't. Also if somebody is already a canon character, you can't be that character. I suggest OC's anyways.

 

5. If your pokemon is bitten by a corrupted pokemon, it becomes corrupted and it's pokeball shatters, removing it from your party. However if the pokemon hasn't taken much damage it's body can fight off the corruption, but if it is badly injured or low on health then it will take affect.

 

6. Only 6 pokemon in your party at once.

 

7. You can't own a legendary.

 

8. Pokemon can use any moves they learn in the game. So no worries about limited moves.

 

9. I will be roleplaying as the original test subjects.
