Rizz yawned as she reajusted her bag that was hanging from over her shoulder as it sort of got a little heavier because she put her jacket in it, then she flipped the hair out of her face so she could see where she was going, and without saying another word she quietly yet quickly took off walking after them, she was behind but not by much as she listened closely to there conversation, she wasn't really paying attention until she heard the word shelter, and hidden, that really peaked her interest there wasn't many places like that around where they could possably be safe and not caught.

((Fine, as long as he doesn't really interfere or act as much of a real character as Darrin. ^_^ ))

Sye raised her eyes to the sky with a heaving sigh. "Fine," she growled, breaking her own decision to not talk to him. With anger burning in her chest, embarasment flooding her face, she nearly gagged out the words, "Lead the way." How demoting, to let the guy she just threatened lead the way!

"Or," she snapped quickly, "You can tell me where it is and I can get us there. I know the streets pretty well, 'cause before I-"

She slammed a hand across her mouth, biting her lip to keep her from spilling out her entire life story. Man, I am horrible at keeping secrets! she thought angrily. She was going to say, 'I already tried to run away twice,' but had thankfully caught herself just in time. Instead, she peeled her hand off her lips, took a deep breath and grumbled, "Nevermind."

Darrin just nodded and jogged up to the front, noticing Syeteka's slip up and expression, but he was smart enough not to say anything about, what wasn't any of his buisness. "No worrries, we'll be there soon." he said, remembering the secret spot he had found. Darrin begun mapping out the area in his brain, following mental paths and pointing out landmarks.

After about 10-20 minutes, he arrived at an average dirty alleyway. It was dark and littered like any other one. And if you weren't Darrin, and knew the difference between that specific alley and any other one, you would have thought he was insane. "This is the place." he said stopping.

Rizz looked up hearing Sye slip on her words then completly change the subject That's the second time she's caught what she was saying, she's got something on her mind... she thought but kept her thoughts to herself, she knew it was best not to say anything, so she just quickened her pace and even jogged a little bit so she was able to keep up with them.

Rizz slowed down and stopped next to Darrin looking around "Don't tell me we're staying in a dumpster..." she was joking of course figuring there was something else around this area but she had no idea what it was.

Thankful he didn't mention her slip of the tounge, she followed, squashing her resentment until they arrived at the dark alley. Hearing Rizz's remark, she grinned slightly and stopped walking. This was it?

"Of course it is," Sye replied to Darrin a bit sarcasticly, leaning against the brick of the wall and peered into the shadows.

"Hey, how about you go in first, Darrin? I'll wait for the other girl, if she's coming," she said, words almost as chilling and cold as the icy shadows that slashed the ground around them.

She most certianly wasn't going to head into a dark alleyway just to be mugged or jumped- if Darrin went in first, she could be sure that she was closer to the exit if worst came to worst. Besides, she wasn't sure she could totally trust him, and heading into a dark alleyway with him wasn't high on her 10 Ten Things to Do List. Especially while he was armed. Even though she wasn't the least intimidated by him out in the open, being cramped in a fairly small dark space wasn't the safest thing she could think of. And while she wasn't sure if he was more brawns or brains, this was no time fo figure it out.

Of course, she didn't tell him any of that. All she said aloud was, "You first," she insisted again, and blew a strand of hair from her face while taking out her knife to polish it cooly.

Still, Rennie did not reply. She only lifted her eyebrow indifferently.

In otherwords, that was a 'yes, I think I'll follow.'

She lived up to this slight facial gesture and slipped after them, again keeping to the darker spots and watching the entire group intently with one blue eye. Interesting. Okay, that girl was more brawn than brain and sucked at keeping secrets, that girl was too touchy for her own good, that boy and his speech-deprived pal were either incredibly smart or incredibly stupid (or possibly both), and they all had more weapons than Sawyer herself did.

"Well, that's just wonderful." She muttered inwardly.

Darrin laughed, "Of coarse not." he said, walking over to a wall, "Watch this." he said as he singled out one brick that was pushed out about a half inch more than the others, it was almost a microscopic difference, but not if you knew what you were looking for. Darrin motioned for Thomas to come over.

Thomas obeyed and walked over to the wall.

"Hand be one of those thin knives." said Darrin.

Thomas opened his coat, revealing an array of sharp and different knives. "Umm, w-which one?" he asked.

Darrin just rolled his eyes and grabbed the thinnest knife, and slid it inbetween the bricks, he then pulled out the brick set it on the ground and grabbed an old medal key out of his pocket, he inserted into the lock in the hole, gave it a turn and the bricks suddenly made out the shope of a door. He pushed it open and walked inside.

Holding the door, Thomas ducked his head and followed.

Rizz blinked and just stood there staring completly emotionless with a blank face, she honestly had never seen anything like it in her life, she made a mental note that if they got caught, she would get one of these no matter what it took to get it.

Rizz finally came back to her senses "I honestly wasn't expecting that..." she said as she took a step closer out of curiousity, she was more amazed then shocked by this time though "Well, it's definatly well hidden thats for sure, I don't know how many time's I've been around this area and I have never found this...."

Rennie sighed inwardly.

"Careful." Her low voice broke from the shadows again. "You go in there, you might find yourself turned in."

She really hoped that these people would be smart enough not to trust a runaway boy with a brainwashed parter, that had a gigantic set of thin knives in his coat and just opened up a door in a wall.

Since when was any runaway lucky enough to have that. Rennie hadn't heard of such a thing before and she was not convinced at all that Darrin was to be trusted. He was self-confident more than anything, another trait that strays generally didn't have.

Darrin just shrugged and tucked the key back in his pocket, "Well that's because no one really knows where to look." he said, as he flipped on a light switch, the lights flickered then came on, giving the room a dim glow. He then turned towards Rizz, his icy blue eyes glowing "Just don't ask how I found this place." he said. You could now see the inside of the room, it had a small couch with the stuffing coming out, an old wooded table with a set of squeaky chairs, a wooden cabinet, a sink, and a door that led into an empty room except for a few blankets and a pillow that Darrin had brought in there a few days after he had found this place. The ceiling was really the floor of an upstairs shop, which probably had no idea there was a living space under it. You could hear footsteps of the people above.

Rennie was not convinced of safety. She folded her arms across her chest and leaned against the solid wall behind her, half-curious of what the others would do.

And what was with this phrase, 'don't ask how I found this place'? Oh, that was VERY reassuring. Thanks a lot, buddy. Rennie narrowed her eye and observed the others from her several-yard distance. If they were stupid enough to just walk in without any questions, then Rennie knew they were not the group that would be surviving, and therefore not for Rennie herself. "Figures."

After so many months of walking the streets, she hoped they all had some common sense.

Rizz grew a little nervious, the fact that Rennies remark actually made her stop and think about this place being under another house and the fact you could hear footsteps above you made her wonder and question the actual security and how sound proof the place was, she really didn't know anything about Darrin, or the area he was suggesting to be safe, all she had to go on was his word, and that didn't mean much to her yet, especially on a runaway where anything could happen and anybody could turn on your at any time when you're least expecting it.
Rizz shook the thought from her mind best she could and took a couple steps closer to the hidden room just to check it out, she peaked inside and to her suprise it didn't look all to different from what she ran away from, the torn apart furniture and not so welcoming appearance, she back up a little ways and set her bag on the ground by her feet again crossing her arms leaning against the cold brick wall "Just as warm and inviting as home ah?" she said very sarcastically as she blew the hair out of her face again.

Darrin leaned up against the wall with a smirk, "Yup, home sweet home, alright." he said in the same sarcastic tone. He played with the silver ring on his finger, spinning it and tracing the engraved words with his fingers. No matter how much he needed money, or how bad things got he would never, never ever in any lifetime sell it.

Thomas just did his little 'shuffle walk' over to the table and sat down in one of the squeaky chairs, his green eyes never resting on one thing for to long. He fidgited(spelling fail) around, almost too aware of everything, he was very jumpy.

Rizz smirked seeing Thomas so jittery and jumpy "What's he always so nervous about?" she asked under her breath but still loud enough so Darrin could hear as she motioned towards Thomas "He afraid someones gonna come after him or somethin'?" she added, this definatly was an interesting group she was with, but it must've been better than flyin' solo, she could move quicker by herself that was for sure but maybe being with a group wasn't so bad, if she got into trouble they would help her right? well hopefully anyways, Rizz decided not to let her imagination wander to much so she could focus better.

Alone We Stand- And We're All Under 18. (A Runaway RP)
Setting

A fairly large town in the Western side of the USA, with loads of woodland and busy streets. The woods might be considered a safe haven, but there are always forest rangers on the lookout for anythung unusual. There's a small herd of elk somewhere nearby, near the edge of the town in the forest, but nothing else besides rabbits and wolves inhabit them. The woods are fairly easy to search, so you might stand a better chance of toughing it in the cold city allyways.

Plot

These kids are runaways. For their own personal reasons, be it for the challange or to escape family, they're on their own now. Evading the cops, sheltering in hidden coves, and mostly just trying to stay alive and unseen keeps them busy most of the time. They refuse to be caught; in fact, before running away together, they all made a pact to die rather than be caught. Liberty or death is their motto. Their plan? To escape capture until they reach the legal age where they can live by themselves. After that, the cops are off their tails and they are free to do whatever they wish.

These kids are on the run- and they're all under 18.

History

None that I can think of.

Rules

1) No unnecessary blood, gore, detailed romance, or violance. I understand this is a runaway RP, but really people, no 'details'.

2) Only one character, please.

3) Ages must be between 13-16. Nothing over age 16.

4) If you'd like, your character may die- but only if you give the OK. If they die, you may join again with a new character, or use it as a way to quit the RP.

5) NO pets- or siblings! No bringing your horse, dog, cat, parrot, ferret, or even goldfish.  No sisters or brothers as well.

7) To keep things interesting, I may butt in once in a while with a cop, newspaper advertisement, or radio ad, any of which may advertise the missing kids/look for/find the kids. But, I cannot harm your character in any way, unless you wish me to.

8) NO godmodding! You may ONLY control your character! No controling ads, cops, other players, animals, weather, surroundings, or anything else. The only thing OUTSIDE of your character that you may add in once in a while is the parent(s).

9) When creating your character, please include their quirks, crushes, weapons, skills, trinkets/items, and why we're bringing them along.
