Deonday defended himself with his armor against incoming bullets. The bullets didn't leave so much as a scratch, he started shooting at a Sweeper attacking him.

Grendile muttered a whitefire spell, killing the sweeper that first attacked Deonday. Any other's after Deonday fled for their lives, fearing they'd be the ghosts next victim. Grendile turned to Deonday, "Your not suppose to kill criminals in the open, we attract other Sweeper's that way."

Deonday looked away from Grendile and Lilya annoyed, "Well it went a lot quicker than it normally does!" Deonday preferred to kill off his victims quickly, he hated to wait.

(spyrrrrrrrre)

Jason smirked. "Capture me then- it's not like I didn't try escaping." He glared at Hina. Stupid mutt, he thought, why can't you stop bristling and growling?

Lilya sighed heavily, calming herself down, "Let's go," she muttered, "so no more sweepers come after us."

Jewels shrugged. "Well, alright." She grabbed his shirt collar roughly and pointed her gun at his neck. She dragged him into the bounty exchange office and shoved him into the desk.

"Hello, Jewelsie! I see you got another catch, eh? Don't ya normally bring em' in dead?" The middle-aged-looking scruffy man said. He stroked his grey beard and scratched his large beer-belly.

Jewels crossed her arms and shrugged again. "Eh, I decided to do it a little differently this time." She held out her hand. "Now give me the money!" She demanded.

The man grinned. "Are you sure that he's ever worth this much? It doesn't seem he caused you very much trouble. There's not even a scratch on ya, girl!"

Jewels scoffed. "Whatever." The man held the money out for her and she snatched it from his hands. The man grabbed Jason. Jewels took a deep breath.  "Duck, idiot!" she yelled and took out her gun, aimed it at the man's head, and shot him dead. She grabbed Jason's wrist and dragged him out of the office.

"Hurry up!" She yelled. "His people will be on our tails any minute!"

Jewels knew she was going to get a bounty for this. Killing a exchange officer was a very big crime.

Grendile lead them away from the area, he only stopped when he was sure they were far enough from where the Sweepers attacked them.

Deonday was bored, he started kicking a stone around. It was something he did to keep himself busy. He ended up kicking the stone in a sewer grate. He started looking around, there was nothing else to do. There were no sign of any Sweepers, or any criminals. He only saw a few people and a couple of stray pets. Besides that nothing much else. He looked back at the others, wondering what they were going to do now.

Grendile thought to himself for a minute, they had enough money to get themselves tickets. Maybe they should go check on how the other two were doing.

(spyyre)

Jason ran after her, pushing civilians aside. They shouted and cursed at him. "I feel offended," he muttered to Jewels, "I'm a big murderer in Carnon City."

Lilya sighed, Hokey was glaring at Deonday. He wouldn't let the strange armored man hurt his master. Never. Lilya heard yelling and glanced at Grendile, "Think that's them?"

Jewels stared at him. "And you're proud of that?" She asked, looking at her gun and wiping the dirt off of it. She hated killing the innocent, but it had to be done. They needed the money and this amount would get them both a ticket and a good meal.

When the exchange officer's goons arrived, they ordered a bounty put on Jewels' head at once. Jewels knew that there probably were people already looking for her. She hated the thought of being a murderer-- like Jason. Hina ran after them barking and growling. he could hear the faraway footsteps of other sweepers following them.

Grendile had heard the gunshot, now he was hearing shouting. "Yes, that sounds like them."

Deonday heard a gunshot, he wondered what kind of mess Jason and Jewels had gotten into. From the sound of all the yelling, he guessed that Sweepers were fallowing the two. He hoped Jewels and Jason wouldn't come their way. He had a bounty over his head, and didn't want to be shot at again by any more Sweepers. He hoped the two would be killed, then all he'd have to worry about was Lilya and the elf. But he knew that probably wouldn't happen.

Grendile heard more gunshots, "I think we should go see what's going on."

Jason shrugged, "I guess I am proud of it, it gives me a reputation. In Carnon City it's nice to have a scary reputation on you." He didn't want to be called weak, that's for sure. That is basically what the exchange officer did, it made him feel offended. He stared at Jewels, "Where are the others, really? Do you think we'll just run into them?"

Lilya nodded. "Of course that'll be them.. Jason would get himself in trouble like that. Let's go." She glared at Deonday and stood at Grendile's side. If she really has to travel the world with them, could Deonday at least not glare at her constantly?

Grendile lead the others to where it sounded like Jewels and Jason were. He saw Jewels and Jason running from what looked to be other Sweepers. He wondered what they could have done to get in this much trouble.

Deonday took out his gun, looking at the people chasing Jewels and Jason, it was Sweepers. He shot at the Sweepers chasing Jewels and Jason, easily killing a few of them. They started started shooting at him though, "What did you two do!?" Deonday was suprised by how many people were chasing Jewels and Jason.

Grendile guessed Jewels and Jason must've done something aweful to get this many people chasing them.

Jewels stopped and looked for a place to hide. She grabbed Jason's arm and quickly dragged him into a nearby alleyway and behind a large trash can. She noticed that some of the sweepers that were following them had fallen already. They weren't the smartest sweepers in town- but they were still sweepers all the same. She let out a big breath of air when the other sweepers had passed.

"That was kinda close," She muttered and rested her head on Jason's shoulder, quickly pulling it back up when she heard footsteps near them. She looked around the area and saw the others.

Jason smiled at Jewels then  stared up at the others. "Hello. I think we'e been in an ordeal to get this money. How about you guys? Did you manage to get enough? Because we did."

Lilya sighed. She saw a big man choking a small kid. "I'll be back," she muttered, slipping away. The guy was demanding for the kid to give him whatever possession he has. Lilya shot his head, killing him. She stared at the kid. He was sitting on the ground, trembling. Lilya was shocked to see how he looked. He was deformed, his jaw crooked and his legs different sizes. He whimpered and got up, running, more like limping, away. Lilya shook her head and went back to the others.

"Yes we managed to get enough," Grendile had seen the sweepers that had ran by. Now the group would probably attract even more sweepers, which would only slow them down. At least they had collected enough money, now they only had to wait for two days when the train would depart.

Deonday looked annoyed at the sweepers that had passed by, they already had enough trouble without this group. Maybe this group was a bad idea, what if they only attracted more trouble and slowed them down? Deonday looked at the other's annoyed, maybe it would have been better if it were just him and Grendile, but now he was stuck with this group.

Jewels sighed and plopped onto an old, dirty couch in the alleyway. She curled up into a ball and closed her eyes. She really didn't want to be with these people, and she had a terrible creeping feeling about the train. What could it be about?
She opened her eyes and saw a pair of glowing eyes staring at her in the shadows. She looked closer at them and saw that they were a pair of cat's eyes. She looked at him for a moment and smiled.

"Aw, what a cute little kitty." She muttered and looked back at the others. "We should all try and get some sleep before we have to go to the train."

Jason glared at the cat. Jewels didn't call him cute. He was jealous. He scoffed and looked away from the cat, hating it for some reason. "Right, Capricorn is kind of stressing, so having a bit of sleep will be very nice." He sat on the ground, leaning against the wall. He sighed and closed his eyes.

Lilya sighed. "Alright, but one of us needs to be on guard. What if sweepers come to try to harvest us in our sleep? I think Grendile should be on watch- he's a ghost, he doesn't need to sleep, right?" Hokey ran to her side, staring at the others with wide eyes.

Grendile knew well he'd get exhausted if he had to stay on guard the entire time, "Actually no, I'm afraid I do need sleep." Grendile did his best to think of an idea, "Me and Deonday could take turns guarding." Grendile thought for a moment, he knew Deonday might kill some of the people in the group if he had the chance, "Actually no... I don't think Deonday could be guard for even a minute..."

Deonday was annoyed, he knew Grendile wouldn't trust him, not yet anyways. He looked away from the group annoyed at them all. He didn't trust these people, he definately wouldn't trust any of them to be guard.
