Takist groaned as the wolf stepped on the fern in surprise.  THough she usually missed, it still hurt him, what with his flimsy sense of pain.  As the psycic connection faded, and the vision of how he saw himself and his voice faded, he laughed at the two, what with their surprise, and remarked "You two aren't exactly the biggest stains on the rug, are you?"  And laughed again before he fded entirely.  He breifly wondered if they would touch the plant again, or, at least transplant him to somewhere with a few more passerby to talk to.  That would be nice.  Plus, it would probably have better soil than the soil here.  What nasty stuff.

Pahavnovae shrieked as Miziki vanished into the pile of sand, and took on an expression of complete horror and bewilderment. For a few moments she simply stood there blinking in disbelief, then suddenly it dawned on her that perhaps the strange little fern was responsible in some way or form. Since there was essentially nothing else to really blame, Pahanovae turned on the plant, hissing and growling. “You stupid evil fern! What have you done to Mizki?!†She then proceeded to completely wrench it from its foundation in the dry, sandy soil. It was evidently much harder than she imagined, but her anger had blinded her to the obvious fact that it was not going to come out no matter how hard she yanked.

Rift, meanwhile, had long since given up stalking the little black-and-white rabbit, and settled in front of the moss-encrusted entrance to the great temple. He watched a pair of cobalt butterflies flit past in the muggy shafts of sunlight that had appeared after the lightning storm,  and rolled over on his back to stare at the bright blue patches of sky that peeked out from above the thick canopy. “Blue certainly is a pretty color.. “ He thought to himself profoundly. It was not often that Rift got distracted; most of the time he was on high alert to everything in his surroundings. Today, however, his mind decided to wander, and wander far it did. He was so zoned out that he was unaware of the soft footsteps drifting closer and closer to his sentential in front of the temple.

Miziki looked around the hige desert, taking a few steps. There were ruins everywhere. They seemed to have been large buildings at one time, filled with huge amounts of creatures. She continued to walk around. The ruins looked... odly familiar. The same large bell tower surrounded by a wall, which was surrounded by a vast amount of columns.

"This place... " Miziki began. She noticed the sun started to set. She heard a twinkling noise and heard some strange giggling.

It was Bi. Though, he was much brighter and seemed younger. "What are you doing here?" Bi asked, floating around.

"What am I doing here? The real question is, why are you here?!"

Bi shook his head and floated around her again. "This was once a great civilization. In a hundred years or so, it'll become a huge forest. Does that ring a bell?"

Miziki finally realized that the vast desert was the forest. The hole that she had falled through had been some sort of time portal.

Pahanovae finally gave up trying to masscre the poor fern, and scrabbled through the dust over to the pile of sand. She dunked her head into it, and then sneezed several times to expel the gritty particles from her nostrils. "Mizikiiiii where did you goooo!" She screeched, and in desperation Pahanovae began to stomp on the little sand pile and kick it about. Suddenly- there was a an indigniant sounding whirlwind that rose up out of the pile, and it was spinning and hissing and cursing at Pahanovae. "Who DARES to disturb ME at such a time! You must DIE!" She was petrified, and the only thing she could possibly think of was to leap into the sand pile and dig as quickly as her raptorian arms and legs could go. There was a sudden flash- and she felt the ground give way beneath her. There wasn't even enough time to scream, and felt conciousness drifting away as she descended. When Pahanovae awoke, it was an entirely different place- A massive, sprawling, lifeless desert in all directions. She couldn't see anyone or anything in the sand, save for a few grey specks far off the horizon.
