Sola sighed, leaning against a tree as she looked over the island. It was peaceful enough, not many people came around anymore. She kind of missed it, all the various creatures who came all over the world to raise dinosaurs. Now, only a few still remeined, and most of them didn't come around much.

It wasn't like she could brag though. She had gotten rid of her dinosaurs long ago, unable to feel the spirit without friends there. Really, she wasn't sure why she hung around all that much anyways, but the few she still talked to were enough for her.

So she sat on the mountain, looking over everything, pondering the now all but silent isalnd as she waited for something that might mean adventure once more.

Brandt roamed around the main village on the island, the dinosaurs off battling with some vet lady or something. He brought them here daily, getting their exercise and social time out of the way. For him, it was a chance to study the other farm owners, watching as they carried on their business. Since he took over, there wasn't much activity. According to the previous owners of the farm he now owns, they had hundreds of the creatures, sitting wealthily on their massive ships and the annexed land they first started on. The land was technically his,  but he didn't bother it. It's a built up graveyard, anyways. What use would it be to him beyond removing the sick or elderly dinosaurs from his main group?

The villagetown seemed to be quiet, filled with memories of a bustling location, but Brandt really did not mind. He liked the quiet, after all.

Moriko gave a whistle and her raptors rounded up her stock bringing them to her. Which ones would go to sale, which ones she would slaughter, and which ones she was going to add to her breeding stock. She was going to decide. She put a tag on her breeding stock that her raptors could distinguish. The raptors had seperated her breeding stock from the main with the calves like she'd trained them to. She was expecting a new bull kentosaurus today to keep her bloodlines good. Moriko made a few gestures pointing to individual herbivores and her raptors cut them from the herd for slaughter. Moriko dismissed the herd and the raptors went off to go do whatever they wanted to do. Then the new bull came charging in and she had to call the raptors again to herd the new animal to the chute so she could inspect it. A little banged up but she managed to tag it and let it rejoin the herd. Then her old blind raptor came ambling along. He was an old raptor and a good companion that preferred to stay with Moriko than go off with the others because she gave him more attention. The blindness was an accidental injury that he'd had when she'd gotten him but old Jackson was still a good boy. He mostly got around by sound and smell but he got around just fine. Moriko would miss him when he died...

"I got him! He's... Yeah, northwest corner. Get the truck."

Rann rolled his eyes. Rowan was taking this too seriously. One of the Archys had escaped, and of course she HAD to flip out, HAD to drag him out of the lab, HAD to go track it down...

Why was she even bothereing? It was Simon, the same archy that got out at least once a week. They never caught him. He always just flwe back to the shop and hung around there anyway...

But between a swaering Rowan and a frantic Angel, he had more or less been forced to come out and pretend to care.

What a nightmare. It was hot and dry out here, the sun beating down like it was happy or something. He was going to burn, he just knew it.

He sighed as Rowan charged forward with a dart gun, shot off several bullets, none of which actually hit the thing, and then let out a particualrly colorfull stream of swear words as Simon flew off and Silver pulled up in the truck.

"Hey, Ro? I think that he just flew-"

"SHUT UP! Just SHUT. UP."

...Yep. This was NOT going to be a good day for him.

Lezlar was studying a park bench in the main village. Many had told him it was not an animal, but on the inside he believed it was. He ensured no one was watching, he didn't want to look odd. He didn't want to seem off. His microraptor started attacking his arm, "No! No we don't do that!" He scrambled to get his raptor off, someone who passed by looked odly at him before passing. Lezlar finally managed to get the raptor off, "Great! Now I look suspicious." The raptor groomed it's feathers not a care in the world. "No it wasn't funny." He grumbled, got up, and turned around. Giving one last look at the park bench, "I know! I'll be here tomarrow." He continued walking down a path in the main village, only stopping when he watched people battling their dinosaurs. He turned to his microraptor, "You think you could win one of those?" The microraptor cowered in the precense of such larger dinosaurs. "I thought not."

A terrible shriek was caught and strangled by the polished greenschist walls of the high-rise apartment.  After rifling around for valuables, O'Riley took his victim's wallet, maneuvered around and across the extremely elegant and often toppled and broken furniture, and out the tasteful square door.  These high-end mob jobs were always a bit odd, O'Riley though; often, his quarry paid significantly better than his client.

O'Riley was dragged out of his thoughts by a scarlet pentrahedron of a mollusc, also a skilled mercenary.  It's name was Sqwmlts Tl'Gauge, They began walking.

"Iiss see dead?"

"What do 'ou think?"

O'Riley held up his knife for Sqwmlts to see.  Judging by the thick, charcoal ooze smeared upon it, it was obvious enough that the target had been killed.

"Then we're done here."

" 'Ou've been on too many aessaesinaetions.  No, the job was to take the whole compound.  I've already contaected the orchestrator, aend what we need to do now is hole ourselves up in some important hallway and kill aenything that walks down it until he wants us to do something else."

"So iit'ss a siege job."

"Ee'up"

"That'ss stupiid."

O'Riley stopped his compainion, and gestured toward the sign on the door to their left.

"Here it is.  This is the sublevel we want, I'll take 'ou to the intersection in question.

"Arighty."

The door opened smoothly and easily, and Sqwlmts commended the craftsmanship.  It was a particularly beautiful door, that did not sacrifice form for function, nor vice-versa.  An odd thing at a sewer level.

Sola's attention snapped forward as a Archy took flight, a vehicle in hot pursuit. She rolled her eyes and laughed, recognizing Simon; the notorious raptor that tended to break out more often then it was put into a cage. Sola figured it would be best to help; Rowan and friends tended to be a bit of a mess in situations like this.

Sola shifted, transforming into the formidable tiger-like demon she truly was. Spreading out her wings she launched into the air, using the natural winds that blew high in the mountains to pick up speed. She banked right, flapping her wings swiftly so she could keep up with the car; a feat that took some effort. "You all need some help? I can force him to the ground if you need." She yelled above the wind.
Moriko saw Simon AGAIN about to harrass her encheanadon no doubt and got out a net gun of all things. She normally used it to catch her own stock and since they were delicate too it was an ideal sort of tool for catching Simon without hurting him. She took careful aim and fired nabbing the raptor and getting him out of the way of the truck. The raptor struggled in the netting as Moriko held him fuming. She had a spare net gun... If Rowan stopped long enough Moriko would first yell at her for letting him escape to distress her herbivores more than necessary and then show her how to use a net gun to catch Simon and for the sake of her herbivores provide one to Rowan's farm. It was often used on birds of prey by biologists so it was well suited to catching Simon. She untangled him without injuring him but a little bit rougher than necessary. She then bound his legs and wings up holding him like a foot ball. Sure she got bit a few times but she just tied his mouth shut too with that ribbon he had on him. Her raptors were watching this slightly confused. She'd never handled them that roughly. He must have done something. A few of them recognized Simon and growled at him angrily for invading their territory but their person had it under control so they made no further move against the little bugger. [I hope I'm doing this right Spotty. I have looked into net guns and yes they are used for birds of prey so this is valid.]

Silver slammed on the brakes, and the car skidded several feet in the loose sand. It actually nearly tipped over, and he was thankful that Rann was in tha back to hold Angel on, because if the stream of colorfull launguage was anything to go by, then Rowan had just fallen out.

Looking in the rearview mirror, he could see her in an awkward position in the dirt. Well... He never was a good driver, but he was better than the others. Neither Angel or Rann actually knew how to drive, and the less said about Rowan behind the wheel the better.

He jumped out and Grabbed simon, stuffing him into a dog drate that had miraculously stayed in the bed of the pickup and thanking the lady with the net gun.

He knew Rowan was going to be furious when they got back, but... Oh god, she was going to kill him.

There had been a farm inventory a few months back, and it had required pictures of all farm personell with names. He had taken care of it himself rather than have Rann or Rowan get mad about it. He had never told her...

"Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to decieve."

Silver turned to see Rann jump out of the bed, with a smug face to boot.

"Whatever, Rann."

"What do you suppose THAT is?"

Rann nodded to the flying tiger. It really... It took silver's breath away for a moment there, it was one of the most amazing things he had ever seen.

"That's a shifter of some sort..." Rann continued. "Seemingly female, race... Unknown... Possible forms, human female, flying tiger, base color; black...."

Silver rolled his eyes. Rann was weird like that. But still... This was some sort of shifter, like them. Would Rowan let up on the "Never tell anyone about the dragon thing EVER or we all die" Rule now? Probably not.

Lezlar continued travelling acround town. His faithful microraptor attacking every butterfly in sight, preventing the invading insect from attacking his trainer. Lezlar was walking around the farms, looking at the forests that surrounded them, occasionally seeing an interesting dinosaur or two, and was suprised to even see an owner with the illusive lolosaur. They weren't easy to get at all. He stopped and turned to see a... dragon? A shapeshifter? Not wanting to be trouble he turned away, pretended he didn't see anything, and continued walking, only hoping he wasn't noticed by the shapeshifter or any of the others there. He would've kept going if his microraptor wasn't chasing down the dragon. "No! Skip get back here!" He grabbed his microraptor before it could attack the dragon, not that it could do much harm. No one knew he was a shapeshifter. Being a shapeshifter himself he could imagine how panicked they would be if they thought a human had seen him. But he didn't want to prove he was a shapeshifter to them. Much less one that could turn into a chair, "Um... hi." He held his microraptor nervously as these teenagers and the dragon didn't look happy at all. He was worried they would attack if they thought he was human, but he couldn't tell them he could shapeshift into a chair!

[spotty if I'm out of line just delete this]

Moriko saw the other dragons drive off. She wondered if she should go public with her shapeshifting. Or at least tell her neighbors so they didn't freak out if they saw her. She decided to at least tell the other dragons later. She had to check her stock and was considering getting some large carnivores and sauropods. She'd need the big ones to herd them. She'd have to get some allosaurus chicks or something... Really she'd have to work with them and figure out which kind she could work with. Moriko started heading to other farms and asking around. T rex with their septic bite was out of the question and sauropods were too large for her beloved herders to get. Come to think of it she also needed something to herd her smaller stock... That Simon was smart enough to keep escaping so she went to Rowan and company's farm to ask about how intelligent Simon really was and how trainable he was.

Jake looked at his three enclosures, one had two baby archeopteryx, one male and one female, and the other had two young diliophosaurus, one male and one female aswell He also had one enclosure with a small herrerasaurus, one young male, all alone. He had just started up his farm again and these were his newest dinos, he had created them at the lab. He only had one empty enclosure, he used to have tons, but after neglecting the farm for so long, they were somehow destroyed. He watched as his reserve's main building was being fixed up. An employee from his reserve stood next to him to help him incase any dinosaurs attacked him and he couldn't handle it.

"I wonder if i should even bother getting this farm back together" Jake asked his employee.

"What do you mean sir? We have helped so many dinosaurs in the past" his employee replied

"And they all died because of my neglection" Jake said, looking down.

"Don't worry sir, now that you have us employees, if you need to go somewhere we will care for them"

Jake nodded and went over to the lonely herrerasaurus and started petting it

"You poor thing, all alone, don't worry I can get you some friends, sometime that is"

(i decided to use my real farm spotty)

Moriko was at Rowan's farm sniffing Rowan out in dragon form. She figured by being open she might get recieved better. When she found them she let them get a good look at her retaking human form and asked "About Simon and his kind... How trainable do you think they might be? And how strong is their prey drive on a scale of one to ten? Ten being avid little predators and one being they only notice or care about prey when they're hungry. I want to see if I can train some into herders for my smaller stock. Also I need recommendations for large carnivores to try to herd sauropods. T rex is out with the septic bite. That might damage my stock... I specialize in herbivore stocks but use carnivores for herders. I need highly intelligent, easily trained, highly sociable animals with a four to six prey drive."
Moriko did not get her answer from Rowan because she got a call her newest stock had arrived and the dogs needed to herd the mammals. "I have to go I'll get back to you!" Moriko arrived to see her raptors puzzled over the pair of collies who were trying to herd them into a bunch. "Patch, Pepper here guys!" Her new herd was turned loose in the pasture after an exam. The stock was too small to decide on breeders, hunting stock, and which to cull. Jackson ambled along after Moriko and sniffed the two dogs. Border collies were good herders while they couldn't handle her saurian stock they should be able to handle her new mammalian stocks just fine. It was actually better for the stock to herd them with carnivores or in this case dogs. Moriko started introducing the two new herders to her pack and did practice for a herding trial with the raptors. She wasn't the only one who used raptors to herd and in fact it had become a sport. The dogs were trained and used a dog whistle instead of Moriko whistling like with her raptors just to avoid confusion. Jackson seemed to accept the dogs immediately but the alpha of her pack Serenity was unsure. But Jackson had an effect on her and she warmed up to the dogs sniffing around the farm. The chick was curious about the dogs and nipped Pepper the smaller collie. Patch started trying to herd the chick back with the pack but Moriko let him know that the raptors were not to be herded.

Farms and Fantasies
Setting
Located on the island, the farms stretch far and wide, and if it fits into your own story, any smaller islands around the island, as to provide more land space. The waters around the island are also free game. However, there is said to be a new opening somewhere on the island, one rediscovered by prying eyes. This opening is said to lead to a new land located below the island and the water around it, and instead home to many different creatures of all kinds.
Plot

Abuzz with news of some sort of hidden cave, the island of Exhibited's farm owners react in each of their own ways. Is this news just some rumor started, or does it hold merit? Feel free to include as much of your own personal story with your character for a farm owner, if that's how you want it to be.

On the flip side, possibly unknown to the farm owners, there is a world below their precious island. A land filled with interesting creatures, as well as possibly shapeshifters. Is there a possbility that there's some shapeshifters among the farm owners? Maybe! That's up to you!

The main point of the plot as of now is to either discover or hide the opening, dependant on your charater's interest. If this opens up, then we'll continue on from there. It is modern day, with the possibility of some future and past tech to show up.

History
Long before the island was founded by our beloved researchers and rich people, the island was merely a set of openings for beings who lived below the surface to get some fresh air and some sunlight. As time went on, the island became populated, shutting off those openings. Either filled in, covered over, or left as a "do not enter" zone, these holes have been pretty much forgotten, and haven't been taken care of all that well by their creators for fear of those stomping around on their roofs. There has been one explorer who found one of these openings, in tact, and has attmepted to share information. They've gone missing, unfortunately.
Rules

1. Exhibited Rules. Always and forever.

2. Please use your own characters. I want to keep this roleplay as open to creativity as possible, but the useage of precreated characters by others that are not you (unless you gained the right to use that character through sale, gift, or any other interaction) is something I don't want around here.

3. Be as creative as you want!

4. I'm going to try and create a posting order. This will mean that peopel should post in a particular order, and that is to make sure no one gets left behind. If you go three days without posting some sort of information, either telling us to wait a little longer or an actual post, I'll force the rp forward. I'm trying to keep this alive as long as possible, and it's important to keep everyone around.

5. Please do not control another person's character! You direct stuff, and insinuate what you want the outcome to go towards, "she hoped that the monster guy would eat the annoying tree branch after asking if he was hungry", but not something direct. It's not fair, in the end.

6. Have fun! If you have questions, contact me directly or over the OOC chat.
