The dusky pod made it to the shallows, swimming as far in as they could, but not into water shallow enough to risk beaching themselves; the calves  and older juveniles were ushered to the back of the group as being of smaller size allowed them to swim in even shallower waters then the adults. The pod restlessly gathered close together watching the open waters apprehensively. Voloxy and Eno began calling out for Nacaetus again after a moment, they were soon joined by Caesistis and Ceanatus her mother and little brother and her father, Altus. They called out to her urgently, but were making too much noise for Caerultus`s comfort, and she quickly berated Caesistas and Altus with stern jab of her nose into each of their sides quieting them; they were old enough to know better. The pod fell silent in wait, they could do nothing more.
Naecatus watched the orcas dive nervously as she could hear the cries of her family in the distance. She wanted to go to them, but at the same time she was too nervous to. She looked up at the looming danger, then down at the rapidly descending orca pod. She clicked at the orcas, diving deep wasn`t normal behavior for her kind, and wasn’t something they normally did. Her kind would retreat to the shallows in times of danger, not to the deep. She was desperate however, to not be left alone in the open, so she followed the orcas against her intuition. She kept a slight distance from the orcas, joining them at the bottom feeling scared as the water turned red above them.
