Flight nodded, "As you wish." then he noticed the flightless and gasped. "A flightless, that's an infant?" he was confused on how a baby flightless would be around without parents and still be alive when wolves and mountain lions could of took it like an easy meal. He didn't know if he should kill it, leave it alone to die or just take it for he had only experiance for adult flightless. "I wonder if its a trap...." he mumbled to himself, "Who would leave any child alone in a forest unless they wanted it to die?" his head was spinning with confusion and worry.
Lorna looked to Flight, then back to the infant. "Maybe it is a trap.." She said, but she felt a small twinge in her, and a sudden mothering instinct to protect the child. She slowly, and carefully approached the infant, picking it up carefully, glancing around. It had nothing attached to it, that she could see. "Maybe they just abandoned it?" Lorna asked, looking to Flight, the flightless infant holding onto her, its little fingers playing with her hair. "What do we do with it?" Lorna asked, walking to Flight with the child. The baby wouldn't survive long away from its own kind. "I haven't seen humans this young eat berries or honey." Lorna told him. "They drink this white liquid, thing." She explained, the infant fascinated by Lorna's colourful wings and feathers.
Flight scartched at his forehead's feathers, "I don't know, and I have no clue what that would be..Maybe we should return it?" Flight suggested, knowing with the lack of knowledge about taking care of flightless children the infant wouldn't survive well. He looked around hoping no hunters or predators were around, "I really hope they didn't leave it out here for the same reason they want to hunt us down..." he mumbled to himself as he was a little panicky on how to take care of a flightless and why would anyone leave it in a forest and not stork it.
Lorna nodded lightly. "Will you come with me? To the city?" She asked hopefully, her wings twitching as she heard branches snap, hoping it was just a large squirrel. The flightless child let out a giggle, which seemed re-occuring, as if stuck. There wasa mechanical switch before it returned to its normal state. Lorna tilted her head, turning the flightless around, seeing lines where the neck connected to the rest of the body. Lorna dropped the machine, it making aloud 'klunk' as it hit the ground. Lorna's wings fluttered as she tried to push Flight, but she was too light, and weak to move him. "Its a trap. You were right." She said, still trying to get him to move, constantly looking around, as the found of different noices like running and shouting confused her.
Flight gasped as he grabbed Lorna gently and flew off to his clan base. "I shouldn't of let my mind wander, why in the world would people leave babies..." he said as he dived down into the dark. When it seemed safe, he landed and lets go of Lorna. "Sorry about that, I'm too protective over other hybrids." Flight said as he now felt awkward again. "Thanks for making sure it was a baby anyway..They probably wanted to find my clan's camp so they could kill us all." he sighed as he ruffled his own feather to clean them.
Lorna gasped lightly when he grabbed her, surprisingly gentle. Lorna watched him quietly, once her feet were back on the ground. "It wasn't your fault. I shouldn't have let my curiosity get the better of me." Lorna said softly. "If I had left it alone, the flightless wouldn't have found us." Lorna added, ruffling her own feathers, brushing down her white dress. "I was the one that almost got us killed. I'm sorry." She said, fiddling with a feather that was in her hair. She had a few turquoise feathers attached to certain strands of her unique hair. It wasn't crowded, which gave it an aspect of beauty. She glanced around their new location, unsure where she was. "Thank you," Lorna said softly. "For protecting me."
"No problem, it wasn't your fault." Flight said, "Luckily they don't want to go around these parts of the forest, high chance of ambushes from hybrid rouges..." he went towards a light in the distance, "My clan is only a mile away. I'll warn them while you could check around the camp for any nests you'd want." He explained as he started to fly once he was done ruffling his feathers smooth. his glossy feathers glimpsed in the small spots of sun left from the giant firs, pines, and maples covering them from the sight of a Flightless hunter.
Lorna gives a small smile, nodding and watching him fly. She set about looking for a nest, flying to each cave and grass nest, inspecting it, before finishing the perfect nest. It was a grass house, high in a tree, hanging securely from the branch. It was circular, with a window, and a door. She went inside, fiddling with the decorations inside, smiling a little. Lorna could see herself living in this nest, maybe with a family one day. It was perfect. She flew out of it, closing the door then sitting on top of it, waiting for Flight. Lorna's unusual blue eyes looked around her surroundings, as she let out a happy sigh. She could get used to it here. Lorna's wings twitched as she fiddled with her fingers, her fingernails an ocean blue, as if they had been painted.
Flight went to warn the clan, He was thinking about how lorna was gonna be in a clan full of birds of prey. He shrugged it off as he went to call for a clan meeting. after he warned the leader, he flew to Loran. "At sunset, they'll discuss about that incident and welcome you to the clan." he said. "I'll be at my nest if you need me." He said as he flew down towards a cave in a cliffside. it was perfect for his size and had a hidden mineshaft behind the walls in the very back of the cave.
Lorna nodded at what he said. "Okay." She smiled, her eyes following him to his nest so she knew where it was. Lorna then went into her new, and first nest, laying down and letting out a relaxing hum as she grew comfortable, very easily. She closed her eyes when they grew heavy, breathing quietly as she began to fall asleep. This was a lot warmer than sleeping on top of a building, or on the hard ground. Lorna's feathers ruffled as she slept, her wings, and eyelids twitching. Lorna was greeted by a dream of being back in the laboratory, surrounded by familiar faces. Her body flinched as her younger dream self was injected with a blue serum, feathers growing on her arms, legs and back, a few sprouting from her hair, being rewarded with gentle words as the pattern grew from the corner of her right eye, her eyes changing colour.
Flight was going to do midnight patrol. He flew down next to the dark forest ground and stayed put. "I wonder if the midnight hunters are going to catch some bats..." He said to himself. He went towards the rouge's area. He wasn't worried about the rouge hybrids, because they knew he doesn't get down on a battle. He went on top of a rock and sat on it to think about his day. He killed a gmo hare, he met a new clan member, he almost got in a flightless's trap... "I really hope the rouges aren't rethinking my strengths. Its not worth it for them.."
Lorna flinched in reality as her dream progressed. The scientists plucking some of her feathers to test them. Even though she couldn't feel it in the dream, Lorna's mind told her it had hurt. Then, her dream went to the end of the experiments, how they freed all the Hybrids. Lorna didn't want to go. They were all she knew. The scientists hadn't even taught her to fly. Launa jumped awake, glancing around. She flew out of her new grass nest, and up to the top of the tree which it was hanging from. She sat on a thick leaf, pulling her legs to her chest as she watched the sky, her eyes staying on the moon. Lorna let out a sigh as she took in her surroundings, most of it in the shadow of the night. Lorna ruffled her feathers, staying on the leaf even when the first few drops of spring rain fell from the sky. Lorna glanced around, figuring the hybrids in Flights clan were either sleeping or hunting.
Flight thought for a little as he sat on the rock in the dark, gloomy forest. Should I go to see how the flightless cities are doing? he thought. One side was saying no, its too dangerous; the other said yes, birdmen are hidden there too. He tried shaking the thought away but it came coming back even more pursuasive. He sighed, "What would the scientists say?" he asked himself. after a few minutes, a thought hit him; He has only one chance to see what it was like. He took off from the stone, flying out of the forest towards a nearby town...
Vivek was perched by a path the flightless walked by. The path was close to a city, which meant the flightless might have technology. After waiting for several hours, he noticed a human jogger. They were wearing some virtual reality glasses on their face. He had heard of these facinating contraption on "the internet" as people called it. The second he saw it he knew he had to have it. He swooped down from his perch, stealing the technologic wonder from the jogger's face.

The jogger looked around in confusion as Vivek made away with her glasses. Vivek quickly flew to his makeshift nest made of cloth and insulation materials from flightless cities. His nest was full of abandon or stolen flightless technology. He put the virtual realty glasses over his eyes and looked around in facination. There was a dance of flashing colors and complicated words. Flightless technology was beautiful.

Lorna ruffled her colourful, silky feathers, before setting off. She got bored quite easily. Lorna wanted to find out how the scientists were doing. She had an attachment to them, and it dragged her back every time she thought about them. Not going to fast to tire herself out, Lorna flew to the outskirts of the city, landing quietly before she reached it, the city lights dazzling in her eyes. Lorna smiled a little, continuing her small journey. When she found a house which looked familiar, she peaked inside, smiling at the sight of flightless children playing with toys which had wings. 'Maybe they can't be so bad.' Lorna thought to herself, but continued to watch. It was hard to believe she was like them, years ago.

..-..Freedom of Flight..-..
Setting

It takes place in America, where the cities that in our present day our small are almost as big as New York City. Our technology has advanced to where you could have a special pattern of skin tones and colors without tattoos and makeup and change eye color without contacts. There is only 30% of protected forests left and only 10% is natural, the rest is Genetically modified like the mutated guard dogs the size of an average 12 year old and tiny vipers bugs (Which are similar to ticks, but more aggressive and thin).

Current Setting:

Weather: It is the first day of Spring, the season is greeting us with a soft light spring shower with pretty silver clouds.

Plot

~The Beginning

A new group of people have been created. They are hybrids of birds and humans, this started in 2150 when scientist started making a alternative way of transportation in the flying industry by making a donated childs genes be changed into have bird like characteristics such as some feathers in certain areas, sometimes having a beak and most importantly wings then theyll be tested on for any more desirable variations. Unfortunately due to a lack of funding, the scientists stopped the operation in 2160 and freed these flying men into the wild where the hybrids chose to either start clans in forests like the true natives did long ago and start their own civilization or go and try to fit in with the current society. The only problem is that the "Flightless" want to hunt down the "Birdmen" due to great amounts of jealousy and lack of laws that protect these innocent feathered souls. The hybrids do not wish for such a war, but there is no choice when it comes to survival of the species/race. Will you let the birdmen live, the flightless succeed such genocide or try to bring peace between these two sides?

History

The Hybrids have start the spring by collecting food in for the need to survive for summer.

~Species

-Bird/man Hybrids

Eagle: They are the biggest of the species so far with a hieght of 7 ft and a wingspan of 23 ft. They commonly have a beak and brown feathers yet rarely have no beak and gold or even albino colored feathers. They are usually either good leaders of a group or big tough ones that don't mess around. They have a diet of Fish and live game like normal deer.

Owl: This group has the most variation due to the different species of tyto and other owls the lab used to start the operation, they can be up to 6.5 ft and a wingspand of 19 ft. They usually are either antisocial or good at taking care of others and have a diet of rodents and game

Hummingbird: They're the smallest of the species with a hieght of 5.4 feet and a wingspand of 12 feet and they have the most interesting of plumage with shiny greens to midnight blues. They have a diet of honey, necter and sometimes berries. They are commonly shy and timid.

Crow/Raven: They are both pretty similair to aproxamately 6 ft tall and have a wingspand of 15-18 ft. They are kind of usually consider rouges. They are known for having dark plumage and a immune sysytem that helps them eat rotting meat plus other things that other birds usually don't expect.

Vulture: they are the ones who are second biggest, 6.7 ft tall and a wingspand of 22 ft. They have a diet of rotten flesh and dead animals. They have either black, brown, or white feathers and commonly have pink skin.

Hawks: These guys are second best in variety, from black plumage to red. They have a 1/10th chance of a tail due to the red tail hawk. They are similar to the Eagle but with a similar size to an owl. They have a diet of fish and rodents, they usually are a mix of personalities that involve pride and fellowship. They can adapt to an area based off of their species of hawk.

(Pm or post in the occ for more species suggestions)

Human: Read the settings, they are omnivores and they have to have a nationality and a reasonable description of strength and weaknesses
