Wait. What was that?

Katia heard a loud boom coming from a little ways away and immediately froze. Had someone opened an escape route?

She couldn't help herself. Despite the possible dangers, she started moving towards the source of the noise.

Oh, wait. This was the demons' Floor. Did she really want to see what was going on?

But if there was a way out...

Katia kept moving.

Eventually, she saw a giant hole in the wall and curiously tried to see what was through the hole. For a second, she got excited, as she thought there was daylight. But no, it was just a strange blue glow of some sort.

She wanted to see what was going on, but held herself back. If she had come to find out what was going on, odds were that many other creatures--hardly any of them peaceful--had come too.

So she watched the blue glow and waited for something to happen.

Then something did.

As the explosion shook the whole asylum, Marceline watched all the loose creatures flock towards the giant hole in the wall. The explosion was beneath the floor just outside her cell, so she swung open the cage and hovered above the growing hole, a blue light casting a soft glow over her face. Whatever had caused the explosion had screwed themselves over. There was no way the workers could ignore it and figured she shouldn't stray far from her cell if the Warden came knocking. Marceline looked through the blue glow and saw a girl standing amidst the rubble. Interesting
Robert was humming to himself when all of a sudden he heard a noise and a loud rumbling. Robert felt his eyes narrow as he stared in the direction of the noise. Then he sighed "I wonder if I should go back now" he asked himself. Then he smiled to himself might as well go explore I can make the guard women forgive me. Robert hummed under his breath and walked towards the sound. Suddenly there was silence but Robert kept on walking toward where the sound had come from the only sound heard was the echo of his foot steps. Robert felt his eyes glow a bright purple and he looked around then he noticed a hole in the wall and a girl standing in the rumble. Robert smiled to himself it had been a while since he seen another girl besides the guard women.

He had had a few minutes of unpeaceful sleep when he was awoken by the explosion. It had caused the bars of his cell to rattle and clang. "What is going on around here?" He was going to go back to sleep when he heard the creak of his cell door. It had jiggled loose of its clasp. "Talk about luck. Time to get out of this place." He was extremely curious about the explosion and decided to investigate. He tracked the smell of loose dirt and rubble until he came to the demon floor. The bright blue light caused his eyes to hurt but he couldn't get himself to look away.

The explosion caused Riley to jump and shift again. When he landed on his paws it wasn't the paws of a wolf anymore, but a ocelot. He was sleeker and lithe now. The fact that he couldnt control his shifting really bugged him but sometimes it came in handy as he squeezed through the bars and out of his cell. Curiousity took the better of him as he searched for the source of the explosion. First he noticed dark figures in the blue light which made his fur stand on end. He then noticed the smell of dog and werewolf which caused him to hiss.
The fur on Caraphenelia's back stood on end as she realized the blue glow was coming from a demon. Jane lunged forward, biting into a winged lion's throat. The lion's golden mane shimmered as it died, but Jane hardly noticed. She was already running to her next target. Caraphenelia sprinted after her into the choas. Demons were tearing at each other, frightened into blind fury, and turning their grief into rage against anything that moved. A bat-like creature crashed into the ground in front of of Caraphenelia. It sprang up and hissed in her face. The creature lunged and bit the side of her face. She let out a blood-curddling scream.

Hayao looked up at the sound of a distant crashing that shook the whole building. A bit of plaster hit his ear and he scowled, "Stupid idiots." Another bit of the cieling broke, this time on his head and that was all it took to set him off. Luckily for the guards, they had gone running after the noise like all the other, and weren't about to become the newest punching bags of a powerful and angry wolf demon.

My body is transfusing with my wolf spirits' Hayao thought vaguely as his heart beat faster and faster, his blood boiling, Thump, Thump, Thump, He fell on all fours, unable to stand anymore. Th-Thump, Th-Thump, Th-Thump, Th-Thump, More plaster rained down, ThumpThumpThumpThumpThump, His vision went black and white with shades of red, THUMP. Everything burst in fireworks at the back of his head and for a few seconds Hayao fell unconcious- then ripped through the floor.

A giant, blood-red wolf with horns, purple eyes, five white tails and unsually big claws and teeth forced his way through the roof of a floor, killing everything in his path. For some reason, blue sparks like electric fire darted out from underneath Hayao's paws as he raced to the mob, shocking countless weak demons and other monsters. Huh, I must be a cousin of Satan or something, Hayao mused while ripping into a vampire's heart. He raised his head and sniffed. It had been a long time since he hadn't smelled the stale air of his cell, and the scent was wonderful; refreshing and cooler on his throat. Around the gap, he smelled something like fire.

Wonder what that means, he reached out with his mind to see if there was any spiritual presence around there, and was confronted with the pressure of a powerful, pureblooded demon. Then the wolf demon stopped and reached out with his conciousness for any demons of his level or intelligence. Surprisingly, there were quite a few. Now that his temper was down, Hayao was only curious, though decided it would be safest if he stayed in demon wolf form, but he couldn't manage it for long. He then sensed for the one of the most powerful demons in the mob; a winged lion the other, and ahead was what he sensed to be the daughter of Satan. Blinking, he sent one racing blue shockwave to make a slight path ahead, then reached out to each one's mind, thinking, Hey, I'm hungry. Do you want to get some raw deer with me when you get rid of all those demons in your way? Well- I guess I'll like you if you don't talk a lot. I'm Hayao, the sexy giant wolf that just fell from the cielling. Nice to meet you. Oh, Satan girl, you look like you're in trouble. I'm guessing you made those awesome holes, so I'll help ya out if you blow a couple more.

Sola felt the presence of a demon brush her mind. She stood, and swivelled her head to the direction of the mental message, zeroing in on the red wolf the had indeed fallen from the ceiling. Projecting her thoughts at him, she sent the reply. Deer or no, share or not, it matters not to me.

She held her body neutral, and glanced around her. The eruption of fighting had been started by a were-wolf when she killed a lion-demon very similar to herself, and her white coat stood out like a sore thumb. When Sola spotted the wolf in the fray, her heart skipped a beat. The wolf reminded her of Flame...

No. Mentally shaking herself, Sola turned back to the demon. Do as you please. I neither welcome nor threaten you. I am indifferent. I won't be joining in this fight unless I am directly harmed. When that happens, I will fight anyone who dares to cross my path.

Jezebel darted through the room. She couldn't see anything. She was confronted with her nightmares, the idea of being nothing. She stumbled over an invisable limb and fell to the ground. She curled up and started to cry. Father where are you? She thought. No anwser. She could hear voices and sounds, but still there was no sight anywhere. Am I blind? She thought. She got up and started to run again, ignoreing the darkness and the nightmares that were chaseing her. She saw a little bit of light and ran toward it. What could it be? She thought.

Suddenly, everyone started fighting. Katia's eyes opened wide and she backed up, running to hide in a corner. She wasn't physically strong at all, so in a situation like this, she was in huge trouble.

She searched for anyone who looked peaceful--fail. All the others she could see were at the very least prepared to fight, if not already fighting.

"So much for escaping," she muttered.

Then she wondered if the guards had noticed what was going on.

Well, duh? Giant explosions are pretty hard to miss.

She wondered why the Warden or someone wasn't here yet. They would want to make sure that their monsters weren't escaping, right?

Cassian looked around at all the blood and mayhem. His mouth started to become dry from thirst but he wouldn't drink fromt he blood of demons. He looked around calmly, trying to find a way out but his eyes were drawn to a girl hiding in the corner. The succubus he had heard of from the gaurds. Slowly he approached her and reached down his hand for her to grab ahold up. "Do you need help getting out of here sweet one?"

This was all chaos. Riley didn't know where to go or which way was a good start to getting out of here. Just when he was about to make a run for the nearest hole five demons surrounded him. He tried to get himself under control enough to shift into a huge rhino but he knew it wouldn't be likely.

Katia allowed herself to be pulled up and opened her eyes wide, giving him a helpless look. "Oh, yes, I'm so scared," she said in a damsel-in-distress voice. "Please help me get out of here!"

This guy was a vampire, she noticed. That probably meant she needed to keep an eye on him. He definitely looked thirsty.

The vampire started looking around for a way out, and Katia took the opportunity to arrange her hair so that it covered her neck. Wouldn't hurt, right?

She also started looking around at the chaos, and noticed a few monsters that stood out.

Giant white wolf: currently slaughtering demons left and right. It didn't look friendly.

Smaller bloodred husky: following the white wolf, assisting in the demon massacre.

Ocelot: running around everyone, trying to avoid the worst of the fighting.

Why were all of these monsters furry canine/feline-like animals?

Whatever. She looked back to the vampire, hoping he had spotted an escape route.

Something large suddenly collided with Sola's flank, sending her tumbling across the rock. A growl rose in her throat, anger pumped its way through her veins. Using the momentum of the opponent, she shoved him/her off and sprang to her feet in one swift motion.

A manticore stood before her, his fangs barred. He lowered himself to the ground to pounce once more. Sola growled under her breath. "You messed with the wrong tiger."

The manticore leaped, but Sola was to quick. She side stepped and reared on her hind legs just before he passed by. Sola sank her claws into his flank and pulled him out of the air to slam him into the ground. He was dazed from his meeting with the earth.

Before the manticore could recover, Sola grabed him be the back of the neck, crushing his spinal cord and killing him instantly.

Jane whirled around at the sound of Caraphernelias ear splitting scream. She could just glimpse her face, now twisted in agony, behind a creatures wing. A bat like demon had it's teeth sunk into the side of her white and red face.

She dug her claws into the ground and launched herself at the demon, half changing to her human form. Her legs became longer, her spine straightened and her paws became more human than wolf. Jane slammed into the demons side, pulling it off her friend in the process. With hands tipped with razor sharp claws she tore at the demon, sqashing its skull in her vise like grip.

Caraphenelia was watching her with wide eyes. "Be careful!" Jane growled and rocketed off back into the fight, shifting back into full wolf form mid-stride.

The Killing Floor
Setting

At first glance the asylum is a beautiful mansion set on a country-side surrounded by farms.

Inside, a lavishly decorated lobby is the first thing you will see and if you are a creature, the last. Through solid steele doors at the back of the room, there is a dark hallway with a dim light shining through the deep claw marks and gashes in the old doors at the end.

A rickety elevator awaits past those doors to take you to the many floors beneath the asylum.  The Floors vary. Some are dark and dank, while others are filled with blinding light or even forests of vines and roots. Floors are stacked and connected by hidden stairways or passages.

The Killing Floor is the every last floor, so far down in the earth some say its a hairs width from hell. No creature makes it out. No creature knows what awaits if they are sent. All that is known is that no creature has ever come back alive.

Plot

Your are a creature locked in an asylum. The goal is to escape and/or not be sent to The Killing Floor. There is no way to avoid being sent if the warden so pleases, he sends creatures at random.

History

The Warden created the 'asylum' as a prison for creatures.

The Wardens family was killed by a creature, and since he has vowed to catch every creature possible and imprison them in the asylum. He sends out Hunters to capture them and bring them back. And so far, no creature has ever escaped the asylum.
