GoldHeart snarled angrily as Shade leaped on top of him. Ugh! She was huge compared to him, but his superior battle skills had won him countless victories. He used Discharge, jolting her from head to toe. She held on with repeated Shadow Claw and Flamethrower attacks, but was waylaid by some random Umbreon leaping onto her and assisting him in battle. Snarling, he wiggled out from underneath Shade and watched for a moment. Shaking his head vigorously, he leaped into battle once more with a Crunch for his grandchildren to be proud of...if he lived long enough to have grandchildren.

Leaping back again, he shouted to the newcomer Umbreon, "Get back!" and readied his Thunder.

Shade hissed happily as she pinned GoldHeart beneath her claws. I'm going to win this battle. Traitor-Heart will be no more! She grinned menacingly. Beneath her assault of Flamethrower and Shadow Claw, GoldHeart was weakening. She was about to win when another Pokemon slammed into her and began to attack her viciously. An Umbreon, way out here? Suddenly, she realized tha this Umbreon was no mere Umbreon. Ack! Not another Traitor-Theif!! One was enough for Shade. She felt pain as both Pokemon started to attack her. They were powerful. She couldn't face them on her own... Where are those worthless Poochyena? I sent them on a different route here...

Darkmoon saw the luxray readying his Thunder. She had just used her move Toxic on the Zoroark, but this pokemon seemed stronger than her, so she wasn't sure if it had worked or not. She darted over to the luxray, stood beside him (but not too close so she wouldn't get hit by any flying sparks of electricity) and prepared to unleash the most powerful Dark Pulse she could. She decided to attack at the same time as him, to inflict as much damage on the Zoroark as possible.

But then she saw the zoroark pin the luxray to the ground and viciously attack him with a combination of flame thrower and shadow claw. So Darkmoon lunged at the Zoroark and attacked her with a combination of Dark Pulse and Toxic. And the luxray started fighting back again, too.

Cynders was still rather nervous of this Darkrai, but summoned her courage enough to speak to him. She was pretty sure he wouldn't attack her in front of all these other pokemon, if he did they'd probably all attack him. Or they might all join him and attack me too, I don't think I trust Dark pokemon, she thought. Even if they did defend me, he might just knock them all out with a single Dark Void or Dark pulse... Well, maybe not, he did say he was defeated by Namina...

"So, you're part of this team Destroya because Namina beat you and battle?" she asked. "And you would have died if she hadn't let you join her team afterwards? Who are you, and what are those plots you mentioned? I was also wondering why you seem to recognize me... Where and when did we meet before? Do you know much about me? And why are you grouchy?"

Then she realized she probably shouldn't have asked so many questions at once, and suddenly felt frightened and embarrassed...

GoldHeart cursed as Shade lunged at him and pinned him while he charged up. He couldn't loose Thunder, so he just used Discharge to zap her. She faltered, fur on end, and he struck back with a mighty Thunder that, miraculously, missed his Umbreon friend.

Shade gagged as Toxic took effect, and gurgled, "This *choke* won't be the *cough* last... time you see me, GoldHeart!'' Turning away, she ran off into the forest, hacking.

GoldHeart stood, panting, and grinned. "I've seen enough!" He yowled after her.

Turning to his new friend, he grinned. "Who are you? I don't think I've seen you before..." He squinted, then used a secret code that the Time Gear Theives of his sect used. It was a variation on the saying, 'Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me a bit.' Only two groups of Thieves used it. The interaction was typically,  'Sticks and stones may break my bones.' says Theif 1. And Thief Two may either reply, 'But claws are the sharpest tools.' or 'Yet still the words may hurt.'

GoldHeart rumbled, "Sticks and stones may break my bones." He waited eagerly for her reply.

Darkrai sighed. "If I had a coin for everyone who asked me those questions, I would be rich. But I met you when you were human...and don't get me started about Namina....She saved me when we were trapped together, and I was going to kill her, and I wont tell you anything about my plans..." Darkrai said. He then crossed his arms. "And I chose to join her because she saved me multiple times, even though I tried to kill her." He said. "And since your here, I have no problem with it unless you anger me enough... are we at a understanding now?" Darkrai continued.

Darkmoon smiled. "But claws are the sharpest tools," she said. "And yet still the words may hurt. It's hard to choose which one to answer with. This is the first time I've heard that code in a long time. I'm Darkmoon. And your name is GoldHeart, right? That Zoroark seems to know you well, what's her name? She's definetly dangerous, would you like to team up with me for awhile?"

* Back at Team Destroya's Base *

"Okay, I guess we're at an understanding now..." Cynders said. She still had a thousand more questions she wanted to ask, but she didn't want to anger Darkrai and get herself killed... I guess I'll have to find more answers to these questions myself, she thought.

Darkrai was going to say something when Deathly came up to him. "Hello Darkrai." Deathly hissed. "Hello Deathly." Darkrai said. "Listen up, I will be going out for a little bit, so if I see you going to look for your plans, I will report it to Namina!" Deathly said before leaving. "Deva...Show off....Idiot...Should I continue Deathly?" Darkrai said teasing Deathly. "Be quiet!" Deathly hissed before leaving. "My point still stands.....Deathly is still not man enough to face me. Well I guess I should help Namina cook...." Darkrai said going to help namina make food for the night. The other Pokemon giggled to what Darkrai said.

GoldHeart grinned. "That's right. I'm GoldHeart, and she's Shade. She works for Primal Dialga, so I suppose she's dangerous. I typically can handle her, but I swear I'm a wild Pokemon magnet. They love me." He felt a little ashamed admitting it, but he told Darkmoon of how he was mobbed by Zangoose in a Monster House room. He also gave her a little info of the back-and-forth he and Shade often did.

"I would love to team up with you, Darkmoon. We seemed to make a pretty great team."

Shade hissed angrily, shoving a Pecha Berry in her mouth. The Poochyena trembled nervously in an army-style shoulder-to-shoulder line. They knew they'd failed Shade, and were going to be punished.

"Well," Shade growled, "where were you, dears?" Her syrupy voice rolled off her tongue and seemed to just ooze into their ears. "Come now, don't be shy." She turned her head, back still to them, and shot them a wicked grin. "Speak up."

One brave Poochyena gulped, then whimpered, "W-We got mobbed by s-some Seviper and Baltoy...W-we couldn't g-get away..." He trailed off as Shade turned to him, grin still frozen to her face.

"So, you were waylaid by some weakling wild Pokemon," She leered down at him, "right?"

"N-Not some. Lots!" A Poochyena whimpered.

"Who said that?!" She thundered, syrupy tone and wicked grin vanishing.

One Poochyena raised his hand, and was struck down so rapidly that it didn't have time to yowl before it was fainted.

Turning to her other servants, she glared. They knew that glare. That glare was used the last time they ever saw the Murkrows.

They didn't get far before she caught them.

An umbreon... thought Cynders, watching Deathly Shade walk off. Now why does the pokemon umbreon seem familiar? I don't think I've met this umbreon before, have I? Or was it another umbreon? Or maybe I've just seen umbreons before and this is nothing...

She stood there, wondering what to do now. She felt awkward just standing here in the middle of this big crowd of pokemon... Many of them were looking at her...

I think I'll go say hi to that Deathly Shade, she said, and see if I can find out anything else from him. Then I'll go help Namina and Darkrai cook... I like Namina so far, but Darkrai is creepy, I'd prefer to stay as far away from him as possible... Oh well...

So went to talk to Deathly Shade. "Um... hello..." she said awkwardly.

"I was hoping you'd say yes," Darkmoon said to GoldHeart. "I had a partner once, a human named Cynders, but I lost her... I don't know if she's dead or alive... I have been traveling alone for a very long time, and it sounds like you have too, GoldHeart. It's difficult... So how about we go find a good, hidden place to rest for awhile. That battle was exhausting."

Deathly quickly turned around. "Yes? May I help you or are you like the others that ask about Darkrai? Listen if you are Darkrai was planing to turn the world into darkness and feed off of other pokemons nightmares. He joined us after Namina saved him, for she thought all he ever wanted was a friend. Well If I say, Darkrai wants nothing to do with her, and I doubt he even is cooking with her. Me and him are enemies so you may see us bicker back and fourth. So douse that cover about what you were going to say?!" Deathly hissed. "Leave her alone!" Darkrai yelled, he was cooking with namina but yelled at Deathly anyway. "Deathly, don't you have some where to be like not trying to attack our members?" Darkrai said, trying to put the food correctly on the bowl. Deathly hissed then left.

GoldHeart smiled sympathetically. "I know what it's like to lose a partner. I used to have my sister as a partner, but she was kidnapped by Primal Dialga." Thinking of his sister sent a whole new wave of rage flowing through him, but he kept it under wraps. No need to be an open book. "I know the perfect place to hide."

He started to dig. Underneath his paws, a few feet down, was a network of tunnels that he and his sister had discovered. They wove underneath the ruins. He grunted as his burning leg muscles worked through the ground. He started panting, but he was almost there....

Cynders was still rather hurt by Deathly Shade's rudeness, but tried to hide her hurt feelings and went to the kitchen.

"Er... thank you Darkrai," she said timidly. "Can I help with the cooking?"

Maybe Darkrai isn't so bad after all, she thought, he's not as friendly as Namina, but he seems much nicer than Deathly Shade...

Darkmoon watched GoldHeart dig, she could tell he was getting very tired, he was already worn out from the battle, now he looked like he was about to faint from exhaustion. She started digging too, but she couldn't help much with that, he filled the entire hole. So instead she used her move Moonlight on GoldHeart, using the light of the moon in the sky above to heal him and give him more energy.

 

Darkrai then said. "No, I am good with namina, but thank you for asking. here, you can be the first to get a meal." Darkrai said handing her a bowl of fruits. "Deathly is worst than I can be...hard to believe I use to act like him." Darkria said getting more bowls ready. Namina prepared the fruits and hummed to herself. "Even though some consider me short tempered I learned some things from Namina. So I tend to stay that way, calm and confident. Now would you like me to get you anything?" Darkrai asked. Namina was singing to herself and got some fruits done, so she handed them to Darkrai who placed the fruits in bowl's.

GoldHeart gasped. "You know Moonlight?" Feeling about 3 years younger, he drank in the healing power.

"Thanks." he smiled. All thoughts about his sister blown away, he motioned to the hole, which had broken into one of the tunnels. "This hole leads down to a network of secret tunnels. They span all underneath the Forest Ruins." GoldHeart was very proud of his extensive knowledge of the tunnels. He told Darkmoon all about them, and how he knew them like he knew himself. Eyes gleaming in that Luxray-x-ray-vision way, he leaped into the hole.

Shade growled at the Zangoose, but it didn't budge. I wish I was wearing my helmet. All I've got are my anklets! Although her anklets seemed simply aesthetic, they were dangerous tools. She raised her arm, showing off her right anklet.

"What are y'u gonna do wi'ff that?" The wild Zangoose sneered, "Pretty me t' dea'ff?"

"Oh, no sir, Mr. Zangoose," Shade smiled devilishly. "I'm gonna give you a good look at them." Rushing forward, she slammed the spikes into his face. He howled and fled, tears streaming down his face.

Shade laughed. "Wild Pokemon are so weak..." She snarled.

Turning to her new Seviper henchmen, she grinned. "Aren't you glad I taught you the ways of light?"

"Yes, ma'am!" They chorused nervously.

The Present: there's the pokemon village, Treaure Town, Wigglytuff's Guild, and lots of wilderness with wild pokemon that savagely attack intruders - the Mystery Dungeons. The planet's paralysis seems to be making wild pokemon more savage than usual.

Then there's the Future of Darkness, and the Hidden Land, where Temporal Tower is located (well, technically it floats over it, but anyways). I'll write more details about these later.

 WARNING! VIDEO GAME SPOILERS! IF YOU HAVEN'T PLAYED PMD THIS MAY WRECK YOUR ENJOYMENT OF IT IF YOU EVER DO! (The PMD games have such an awesome plot, it would be a shame)

 If you haven't played Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, you should either get a copy and play it, watch a walkthrough of it on Youtube, or read a description of it on Wikipedia or Bulbapedia (a helpful pokemon wiki site). This rp will be loosely based on the plot of Explorers of Time, Darkness, and Sky.

 So Temporal Tower, the place where Dialga lives, is collapsing, and that is paralyzing the planet. Time is becoming frozen and that traps the world in perpetual nighttime. And eventually, in the future, Dialga loses his mind and becomes the evil Primal Dialga. Some pokemon have become evil too, and work for Primal Dialga (in the game, Dusknoir and his army of Sableye underlings), others return to the past through time portals, collect time gears which need to be taken to Temporal Tower to stop it from it from collapsing and save the world (in the game, Grovyle). But Dialga's henchmen are determined to stop the time gear thieves, so Dialga sends them to the past to hunt the thieves down. And the henchmen pretend to be ordinary pokemon, to gain the trust of others, and tell everyone the time gear thieves are the bad guys and have to be stopped. And everyone one is fooled.

 In the game, the player character was a human who was working with Grovyle the thief to collect time gears, but while out at sea there was a terrible storm, the player character fell off the boat, got amnesia and ended up lying on the beach, where he or she was found by another pokemon. So they become partners as an exploration team, go to Wigglytuff's guild to sign up as apprentices, and so on. I think we should have several characters like these two for this rp to work. I hope it works, anyway.

I haven't worked everything out yet, I don't think we should be allowed to play as any of the in-game characters except the player and partner pokemon, but we can also be a time gear thief like Grovyle or one of Primal Dialga's henchmen like Dusknoir.

You can create as many characters as you want, as long as you can handle all of them.

Maybe our characters can interact with some of the NPCs from the game, like Wigglytuff and Chatot at the guild (and perhaps the apprentices except the in-game player and partner, of course), all the NPC pokemon in treasure town, Celebi and Primal Dialga from the future, and the sane Dialga of Temporal Tower. Maybe even Grovyle and Dusknoir. I am still thinking about this, though. An NPC from the game cannot be your character's best friend or boyfriend/girlfriend, though, just a normal friend or aquantince.
