Nigel awoke to Cestious screeching histerically in his face. Ever since the portal erruptions had started, he and his daemon had fled to the woods, and for the last few days it had started like that. He leaped up and grabbed his precious companion, in polecat form, before he started running. Nigel gave a quick glance behind him to see spectral forms gliding silently after him, their forms fikering and leaving trails of frost creepily after them. Nigel fled from the eery Specters and fled like there was no tomorrow, and, quite truthfully, there would be if he didn't escape. But the poor boy tripped over a root and sprawled flat on his face. He knew the ghosts were suddenly around him, for he could feel their cold drifting towards him. 'Cestious.' Nigel whispered in fear for his beloved freind. She lept towards him, snuggling her beautiful face towards him. The boy nearly cried, for he loved his cat daemon so, and he felt if she was ever taken in some sort of way, he would kill himself for her. He could feel the Specter's faces, pressing closer and closer to his. No, Nigel could never give up. He snuggled Cestious's warm body tight and close to his, as though to keep her secure, before crying out 'HELP!'

Crystal did not know where she was. She did not know where she was going. She just fled blindly through the darkness. Behind her, her home, her world, everything and everyone she knew, the only life she ever knew, was being destroyed.

She had the strangest sensation of rising off the ground and running up into the sky... but mortal fear drove her onwards, so she didn't stop to think about it...

She ran and ran and ran for a long time, through empty blackness, then suddenly she felt gravity again and slammed to the ground, flat on her face. She groaned and looked around. She was in a new place. Another town? She struggled to her feet and started wandering around.

Suddenly she heard a boy shouting "HELP!" Instinctively she ran toward the cry. She saw him, curled up in a ball and hugging a cat. They were acting like something was attacking them, but Crystal couldn't see a thing.

Based off Philip Pullman's awesome trioligy, his dark materials, this is a world where you have 'daemons' which are a part of your soul in the form ofa shape-shifting animal. I can't explain everything, so you'll ust have to follow the plot. The worlds of everywhere are opened and chaos is errupting everywhere. You must try to escpae through the worlds until you find somewhere safe- or die.

Chaos is errupting everywhere now that the worlds are all open, so you must try to escpae to any world that you can call paradise- or at least safety for you and your kind.
