Dayna, armed with nothing more a sack of dried fruit, a coil of rope, a survival kit, and a small though dual-bladed knife, eased her way through the forest, trying and half-failing to be quiet. She was not used to this type of woody terrain, although she knew she would have to get used to it or get her head lopped off. Dayna had no intention of having a gruesome ending such as that, and kept on her guard.
Presently, she stopped by a small stream and sat down next to it against a tree to rest.
Harlem nodded, "Yeah, well I hope it's sooner rather than later because I swear if he does run into us again and tries something. I won't even  hesitate in killing him." said Harlem as he stood up, Veronica was right, his leg was pretty much fine. He limped a little bit but he could walk, he would just have to be running a bit slower until it healed. Harlem grabed his pack and headded north, weaving inbetween trees and steping carefullly through the underbrush so he wouldn't leave a trail and he really didn't know what could be hiding in all that jungle green.
Strangely bothered by the silence, Harlem decided to make conversation. "So how far do you think we should travel?" he asked Veronica, "I mean we could keep going until dark, or try to find a new camp?"
Harlem was disgusted by his feeble attempts at making conversation, but their whole situation, being in the Hunger Games, knowing that at any moment their life could end was extremely rattling.
Veronica closed her eyes for a moment trying to clear her head, latly, thinking hadn't been a main focus for her considering all the things that have been going on, it had just been staying alive, she opened her eyes again and answered though it was sort of obvious to her "I'd wish we could keep going, I have no issue with the dark but it's probably best that we find a new camp, I don't feel like having another encounter with the night time creatures, especially if we don't have a base or somthing that would prove to be some form of shelter" she said as she looked up at the sky, pondering how long they had until it really was dark, but the trees make it difficult to determine.
Dayna could hear voices.Â
"Ah, crap."
She made a last minute escape by ducking under the nearest bush, making a face as the branches scraped at her. Oh well. She went still and quieted her breath, slipping a hand toward her pocket where the knife lay. Maybe this would be a good opportunity to- ... No, it sounded like there were more than one of them, and that wouldn't get her anywhere.
But she could certainly plan. Evidently they wanted to find a safe camp. Dayna didn't blame them... But of course, they'd better find something well-hidden. Dayna smirked to herself as she rubbed her knife between her fingers.
The Arena:
The Arena in the Games is deadly. Lethal traps, ensnaring nets, murderous mutts, all because last year the Gamemakers decided it wasn't challenging enough.
A forest, mountains, valley, beach and ocean is the basic terrain of the arena.
The Cornucopia
Tributes start at the Cornucopia, inside a huge copper dome. The metal plates are surrounded by mines, but here's the trick: after 60 seconds, not all of the mines are deactivated... Tributes have to figure out a safe way to get across the mines to the Corn where all of the supplies are.
It contains:
Large Food Packs (containing 3 loaves of bread, 2 packets of beef jerky, 1 packet of fish jerky, two large pickles, a packet of smoked ham, a packet of dried fruits, a can of pineapples, and a gallon water bottle.)
Small Food Packs (containing 1 loaf of bread, 1 packet of beef jerky, two potatoes, one tomato, a small packet of dried fruit, and a pint water bottle.)
Loaves of Bread (Rye, white, and sourdough.)
Cans (Pineapple, tomato, chicken noodle soup, beef broth.)
Sacks of Dried Fruit
Sacks of Potatoes
Packets of Beef Jerky
Packets of Fish Jerky
Packets of Water Purification Tablets (each packet contains 15 tablets)
Sleeping Bags
Survival Packs (Containing a small amount of food, purification tablets, sleeping bag, small knife, small first aid kit)
Basic First-Aid Kits
Coils of thin, very strong rope (30 feet long)
Water Bottles
Note: You are allowed one sponsor gift every two days. This includes heated wet-suits, poisons, etc...
Second Note: If you grab a lot of stuff, you will be seriously slowed down. This means you have to move and fight slower
The Hunger Games
When the 13 Districts rebelled against the Capitol, the Capitol defeated 12 of the Districts, obliterating the 13th entirely. As punishment, the Capitol has declared that each district send two tributes (one male and one female) between the ages of 12 and 18, to participate in the annual Hunger Games.
The Hunger Games are a fight to death on live T.V. Twenty-four tributes are sent into an arena with weapons and food, not to mention bloody game-maker traps. The rules are simple: Kill or be killed. Who will win in the Hunger Games?
Basically the same as the plot
No Godmodding/Powerplaying (i.e being invincible, killing people without permission etc.)
Please use good grammar(no text talk!)
Be realistic(if you are completely cornered, trapped or are fighting against someone much stronger than you, you will be badly injured or killed)
Please don’t send yourself unrealistic gifts
I control disasters and arena surprises. Don’t just make up your own.
You can rp up to 3 tributes but no more.
NO Mary-Sues!(your character can’t be perfect)
How This Works
Your character starts at the Cornucopia on a round, metal plate. You must wait sixty seconds before stepping off your plate, or you will be destroyed by the mines around it.
Once the gong sounds, you can either run away as fast as you can, grab something from the Corn, or participate in the Bloodbath for the right to the best supplies.
The Bloodbath is the initial fighting next to the Corn. Usually, the Career Tributes* and some of their allies fight off their weaker opponents and get most of the loot.
The Careers
The Careers are usually the Tributes from Districts 1, 2, and 4 who train for the Hunger Games. They are usually the strongest and best equipped, and they form a career pack to try and hunt down the other tributes.
Alliances
Tributes can form alliances with other tributes. In an alliance, tributes keep each other alive, therefore improving their own chances of survival. Alliances can be broken by whoever and whenever.
