5.26.2012 - Further testing shows that the Egg Stat percentage (aka. the "0.3" decimal) can go as low as 0.25 and as high as 0.38

IA. Background of the Study
----------------
I breed for all possible reasons - genes, stats, traits and colors, so I've always wondered how the stats of a dinosaur offspring are calculated based on the stats and genes of the parents. There has to be a fixed calculation because total and utter randomness in the results of the stats of the offspring does not seem practical nor fair for both player and programmer. Seeing as no one has yet to actually find out how EXACTLY the stats are calculated. Why not?
----------------
IB.Scope and Limitations
----------------
-None of my dinosaur have ever reached 5-digits worth in their status value.
-I only have three (3) dinosaur species. Whether or not the computation works on every single species existing is only an assumption - not yet a fact, so if one is planning on breeding a pair of dinos, data gathered from the eggs and the parents is very much appreciated.
-It is also assumed that the equations for STRENGTH, SPEED and INTELLIGENCE are all the same.
-I have yet to test this equation on dinosaurs with a gene disorder (-20% to stat value)
-So far the equation only gives an APPROXIMATE stat equivalence; a 90 in the calculation does not mean a 90 in the offspring - give or take 2-3 points below and above said value.
-The actual decimal acquired during the testing of the equation was varied, ranging from 0.25 to 0.38 and averaging 0.31, so it has been rounded up to make computations simpler.

IIA.The Equation
----------------
Stat value = value of strength, speed or intelligence.
Let
A be Father's RAW stat value
B be Mother's RAW stat value
C be Offspring's FINAL stat value
0.30[(A+B)/2] = C
IF YOUR DINOSAUR HAS A STAT BOOST FOR SAID STAT:
Let
Y be GIVEN stat value of the dinosaur
X be RAW stat value of the dinosaur
Y/1.2 = X
----------------
IIB.Explanation
----------------
You'll need this:Link
The genes of the parent DO NOT affect the status of the offspring - they only affect the parent themselves.
This means that a parent with perfect genes (and thus has 20% stat bonus to all 3 stats) will not be taken into account.
To put it simply, a dinosaur with 1000 strength and a strength boost gene does not carry the full 1000 to the equation. One must recalculate
their RAW STAT VALUE prior to applying it to the Egg Offspring Stat Calculation.
EXAMPLE:
Let
Y = 1000 GIVEN strength aka. with strength boost gene.
X = RAW stat value aka. without strength boost gene.
1000/1.2 = X
833.3333333.... = X
Therefore X = 833.33
Then...
Let
A = 833.33
B = 833.33
C be Offspring's FINAL stat value
0.30[(833.33+833.33)/2] = C
0.30[1666.66/2] = C
0.30[833.33] = C
249.99 = C
Therefore the approximate stat value for the offspring is 249.99 or 250.00.
The value calculated in this equation is the value of the offspring's strength WITH his strength boost. Therefore his RAW strength is approximately 208.33.
