Natasha ran through the streets, breathing heavily. Her side was bleeding, having had a run in with one of the gangs, who though they could easily have their way with her. She held her side, groaning in pain. She forced herself to stop, her eyes looking to her hand, now red from her own blood. She closed her eyes tightly. "Just 15 more blocks." She told herself, limping onto the road, getting into a jog, despite how much her side hurt. Natasha had to get back to her apartment, were she knew she would be safe. There, Nstssha kept all her weapons and had some painkillers which would kill the pain she had.
Felicity held Bumble in her arms, or Mr.Bumble. Â She looked over to a apartment. Windows broken, holes in the walls, almost no roof. "Mr.Bumble, do you want to go there?" THe cat only meowed, then it lept out of the girl's arms. "Hey, where are you going!" she whispered/yelled. Felicity followed her cat. Bumble went under a car and then under what was supposed to be a small house. Felicity kneeled down and ducked her head to look under the house. Bumble hissed and yowled, there was alot of ruckus down there. Bumble came out from under the house with a skinny mouse in his jaws and he quickly ate it. "Uh... can we go now Mr.Bumble?" said Felicity. She grabbed her cat and put her cat in her backpack. She left some of the backpack unzipped so he could breathe. Felicity then headed towards the apartment.
Natasha limped/jogged through the streets, a silent scream in her throat when she saw a zombie heading towards a young girl. Natasha grabbed her gun, which was in a holster strapped to her thigh, shooting the zombie 5 times in the head, the corpse dropping to the ground, no longer moving. Natasha gasped for breath, holding her side as she grew light headed. Natasha walked towards the apartment building, pushing open the door, glancing around before heading inside, groaning as she put more pressure on her wound. She bit her lip tightly, putting her gun back as her hand gripped the railing, attempting the stairs.
Felicity screamed and fell back as she heard alot of gun shots. She turned around and had to cover her mouth not to scream again, a zombie, with a lot of holes in it's head lay still. Felicity pulled her backpack over her shoulders, making Bumble hiss. "Sorry Mister." Felicity whispered. She stood up and looked towards the apartment. THe door was left slightly open. "Sssshh..." whispered the girl. "We need to be quiet." Felicity zipped up her backpack, leaving a bit open. She reached the apartment door and slowly opened the door. Crrrrrrrreaak... "Oh come on door..." she groaned. She noticed someone going up the stairs. Felicity stood there, holding tight to the straps of her backpack.
Natasha managed three more steps, before gasping as pain shot through her side, making her kneel on the step above the one she was on. She bit her lip, letting out a quiet groan, a shaky, deep breath made her stand up on shaky legs, tackling more steps. She began to rock slightly, the blood loss really getting to her. Natasha managed 10 steps, before sliding down, sitting in the step with her head against the banister, holding her side, her hand covered in blood. She took deep breaths, though they were laboured as her eyes began to close. She gritted her teeth, her hand gripping the banister tightly still. Natasha forced herself to breathe, forcing her eyes open. She watched the younger girl, Natasha unable to move. She could only think of how her victims felt when she killed them. How helpless and terrified they were, stuck with a murderer and with no hope of help.
Felicity watched as the woman up in the staircase held her side and groaned. I could try to help... but I don't knoe this person, and I don't want them to see Bumble... last time someone saw my cat they were going to kill him! Felicity looked down at her feet and fidgetted with her fringers. "Ummm...." Felicity looked up, making eye contact with the woman. She gulped. She gripped her backpack tighter and took a few steps up the stairs. Meow. Felicity jumped, No, Bumble, no no no no, please, please, please don't! Another meow was heard. Felicity stopped half way up the stairs. "........" Mrrrrrrrow! Meow!Â
Natasha heard the meowing but she didn't react, she closed her eyes. She slowly reached into her pocket, her hand clasped around something. Natasha reached out, grabbing hold of the girls leg. Her grip was weak and gentle. Natasha let her head droop back so she could look at the girl. She lifted her hand up, showing her a key. "Apartment 22. Find the second drawer of the closest cabinet. Bring it to me, the whole drawer." She gasped for breath, her eyes closing slightly, her arm beginning to shake as it was becoming difficult for her to keep her arm up high. "Hurry.." She murmured weakly, putting the bloodied key in the girls hand, before letting her arm fall to her side. Natasha quietly groaned in pain, gritting her teeth as it became too much, and there was a feeling of tiredness, ad the promise of the pain stopping if she fell asleep. Natasha knew the feeling well.
"Uh... um.. okay then..." Felicity quickly grabbed the keys and went up the stairs backwards. She didn't want the stranger to see Bumble. She reached the top of the stairs and ran down a hallway. 19.. 20..21...22! Felicity fumbled with the keys until she unlocked the door. She slowly opened the door and entered the room. It was sort of messy here and there, but mostly a tidy place. She went over to the closet cabinet and heaved out the second drawer. With a cat in your backpack it wasn't easy. She slid the door open with her foot and headed down the hallway. She turned and headed down the stairs. "Oooomph!" She set down the drawer on the staircase.
Natasha waited in agony, breathing deeply. She thought the girl would wait until she died, and then steal from her. Although when she returned with the right drawer, Natasha fumbled through it, taking a few pills, then pouring alcohol onto her deep wound to kill infection. "Aaahh!" Natasha gave a painful, husky scream, gritting her teeth which helped to muffle her screams of pain. She got some tweasers, picking out the bullet in her side. She took more quick breaths, it was as though she had done this before. She dipped the needle and thread in alcohol before stitching her wound, putting a Cotten dressing over it when she was done, taping it to her side, taking a gulp of the alcohol that was left. "Thanks kid." Natasha said breathlessly, resting on the stairwell still, breathing heavily.
Felicity had to cover her eyes as the stranger removed the bullet from their side. Felicity lowered her hands and reached into her backpack, making sure Bumble was still there. Meow! Bumble stuck one of his paws out of the backpack and then popped his head out. "Eek!" Felicity shoved Bumble's paws and face back into the backpack. She quickly ran down the stairs stumbling a little on some of the steps. She reached the bottom of the stairs and was in the main entrance. She ran into the office and sat down on one of the office chairs. She slid the backpack off and unzipped it. "What do you want Mr.Bumble?" The cat only lept out of the backpack and rubbed it's cheek against the girl's arm.Â
Natasha raised an eyebrow, she heard the cat but didn't give it a second thought. She got up, trying not to tear the stitching, she silently followed the girl to the office. Even in heels she was deadly silent. "You have a cat? That's cool." She said, her greenish blue eyes watching the pair. "He hasn't tried to run away?" She asked, keeping her distance. She rubbed her eyes lightly, still watching them. "Kid, where are your parents?" Natasha asked, she knew it was probably a stupid question, they being in the middle of an apocalypse and all. Natasha could only watch them. She glanced back towards the stairs. "If you're hungry, I have food in my apartment. Human, and cat food." She offered. At that moment, a ginger striped queen hopped onto the table, meowing a them both. Natasha walked towards them, just to pick up the she cat. "This is Honey. One of my six cats." Natasha told the girl, stroking Honeys head, which got her to purr.
Felicity jumped at the sudden voice and held Bumble to her chest. "Uh... yes.. I-i-i-i have a cat.." She decided not to answer the parent question. "And no, my cat has always sticked near me, other than when he catches the scent of food." Bumble turned his head and looked at the ginger tabby cat that had leaped onto the table. Mrrrrrraowr... Bumble tried to wriggle out of Felicity's grasp and he began to hiss. "Bumble! Don't be so mean!" Bumble's fur flattened down and he curled up in his owner's lap. "I'm not really hungry, but Bumble might be, well, he ate a mouse quite recently.." said Felicity.
Natasha nodded, noticing she had avoided the parent question, which made her more curious. Natasha felt Honey squirm in her arms, hissing at the Tom when he hissed. Natasha said a firm word to Honey in Russian, which made her calm. Natasha looked back to the pair, nodding lightly. "Okay." She said, her red curls bounced with her movement. "Stay safe, kid." She said, walking out of the office, towards the stairs. She was careful when walking up them, letting Honey jump from her arms, and run up the stairs to her nest of kittens in Natasha's apartment. Natasha walked up the remainder of the stairs, walking down the hall to her apartment. The kid could always come back, it wasn't like Natasha would turn her away. She walked into the apartment, closing the door and looking through the cupboard, Finding something to eat, she sat carefully on her couch, her cat in a cardboard box with her 5 kittens.
Future walked though the broken streets his bow strapped against his back, in his arms he carried a old box filled with knives and beef jerky he thought he could stow away for good use. When he heard the sound of movement to the east he pulled his bow and aimed towards the sound. He shot, sending it flying into the darkness of the alley and waited a minute before walkiing forward' slowly careful not to step on the glass that scattered the ground. He stepped into the alley and was surprised to find a deer dead with a arrow through the neck "Whoops, sorry big guy, I thought you were a zombie." He started to cut the deer up, while trying to watching his back.
After resting and eating, Natasha got up, changing her bloodstained clothes into fresh, clean ones. She washed her red hands, and tied up her long scarlet hair into a loose bun, some curls framing her beautiful face. She loaded some new guns, strapping them into holsters in her thigh, then hiding throwing knives and blades in her pockets. Natasha walked out of her apartment, carefully walking down the stairs, and out of the front door. She glanced around before stepping out onto the streets, heading towards one particular direction. Towards a convenience store which a group of gangs had been breaking into before. Natasha climbed inside, careful of her stitches. She waked down the isles, most of the food on the floor. She picked up what she would, putting it into the bags. The check out machine caught her eye. She hit it open, putting the money in her pocket, the alarm going of. She cursed in Russian, running out if the store with the bag, her side throbbing with pain.
