Fulfil all your roleplaying fantasies here.
They started out as a dream, a simple experiment. But they were more than that. No, to the small, illegal lab below the carnivore farm, they were everything. They were all Spartan Fields had to turn their luck around. Who would have thought that things could turn so...grim?
This a spin-off of the origin story to my first pair of Grims. It has similar elements to what actually happened to make them possible in this game (people giving/selling me things, trading with me, etc).
My character gets this brilliant idea to create the perfect battlers and hunters and use them as a way of securing Spartan Fields in Exhibited, because they are new, don't have much, and are on the brink of bankruptcy. So now, the RP starts when the dinos arrive in the lab and everyone first sees them. I will 'be' the dinos as well (i.e. I will be telling where they go/how they react to things.)
I am the main scientist, the dinos, and the narrator. I will be writing parts of my official story and you will have to jump in with your characters to keep it going (i.e. "The sound of growls could be heard down the hall..." You: "We gotta go/hurry up/*is terrified/scared*"). A few more major things (quite a few of them due to my pet peeves in previous RP's I have been a part of):
-NO GODMODDING OR POWERPLAY. I will not tolerate it. It is not fair to anyone else and it is not fun. I also won't tolerate anyone trying to control anyone else in their post. Write your OWN POV, guys!
-NO CUSSING. If it is against the ToS, it's a no-no.
-NO INAPPROPRIATE THEMES. This may be a horror story but anything that goes against the ToS is a no-no!
-NO GETTING UPSET IF YOUR CHARACTER GETS INJURED OR SOMETHING. This is a HORROR story! No one is invincible and you can't get out of every situation. You're a human up against two super powered raptors for crying out loud. If you aren’t okay with your character with being injured at some point, don’t join this RP.
-NO SUPERPOWERS OR HAVING AN ADVANTAGE OR TOO MUCH KNOWLEDGE OF ANYTHING. If you are going to be blindsided by a raptor tail or falling debris, a regular human is going to be blindsided. YOU ARE A REGULAR HUMAN. You are also just a scientist, you are not able to predict stuff and you don’t have access to top secret files.
-PLAY IT SMART, BUT NOT TOO SMART. Kind of self-explanatory. Rely on your instincts, but remember that you are a scientist who spends 90% of your time working with notes and test tubes and doesn't watch horror movies or know much about their clichés. But still, don't be that one guy to go in the opposite direction of a clearly pointed out exit.
-NO MARY/GARY SUES, AND NO ONE WITH A CLEAR DISADVANTAGE. No one is perfect, and no one can change everything for the better in a heartbeat. Especially not in this story. Not everyone is going to like you, and I would like some character conflict. And even though I'm sure no one would do this, but make a perfectly healthy person, please! A pregnant woman, a guy with asthma, anyone with a walking/leg disability, is not going to have an easy time compared to everyone else with escaping a full grown Utahraptor in a small laboratory or a large farm.
-BE DETAILED. You have to write 100 words, so make them detailed! You are a scientist caught up in what was supposed to be the best thing ever and it has gone horribly wrong. How would you feel in each moment?
-USE PROPER GRAMMAR AND PUNCTUATION. People need to be able to read clearly what you wrote. No chat speech or abbreviations!
-ONE LAST THING! If I am not on for whatever reason, don’t go ‘killing’/subduing the dinos or finding/killing my character or something story changing like that. Give me a chance to write a response before you guys make a major move.
That should be it, but when in doubt, use the Exhibited RP rules.
