Miqu was wondering anxiously around her hut. Today was finnaly the day she would start her battle training. When she was younger, she and her older brothers would ressle a lot. She would usually win unless she was sick that day or something. She sat on her porch and looked into the trees. The sun was not yet up and the stars were still out. She then heard a noise. It was a strange growl. It was coming from her stomach! She got up and went to her cupboard. She opened it and saw just a few crumbs. "Bleh! I can not eat that!" She went to her portch and swung down a rope to her forest floor. It was dark and hard to see. Luckily, she brought a lantern full of fireflys. She ran down to the market and bought a few berries and some nuts. She threw a copper coin into the shopkeeper's basket and ran back to her home. She sat on her porch and ate the berries and nuts savoring the sweet and salty flavors. The sun was just starting to rise, and the village slowly was starting to wake up. Miqu smiled as she saw one of her clumsy brothers trying to catch a goat-fish. He was failing and she went to go help him out.

Taal was down at the market and began back to his hut carrying a large box full of supplise, his reasoning was go as long as you can without it, then when you need it, buy in bulk, then use it wisely, in this case he was buying food, he had gone 3 days without eating before he needed more food so he brought his own box to carry all of it back to his hut, he climbed the few steps and walked inside, he set the box down on the foor then opened his cubboard, he started putting the food away.

Tillakoodle (or tilla for short) was wandering around the dry area near her home, a poorly crafted hut on a tall wooden platform. She climbed up inside and saw puddles of water everywhere. Sigh. Time to fix the roof...again..." She stared at another, distant, very fine-looking house wistfully. Someday, she would find some way to earn a ton of money, and live somewhere like that. She stood in front on her hut and got lost in a daydream about being rich. Before she knew it she was dozing off. Tilla shook herself awake. What was that noise? Something was moving around near her feet. She stepped on one, picked it up, and saw a it was strange creature she had never seen before.

Update: ok I forgot to put on the cat-penguin description that they still have beaks but they just have large, cat like ears, wiskers, a tail, and cat eyes (slit eyes) :P

Taal was finishing off putting the food he had just boughten away when he realized he didn't have enough room for the last few berries, so he fixed the problem by eating them mmm those were good.... he said as he swallowed them, he closed his cubboard then put the now empty and rather light box in the corner for the next time he had to go to the market to get food for his hut, he walked outside and sat on his porch or deck type of thing leaning against the outside wall of his house looking at the views he could see from there.

Miqu waslked just below Taal's house. She noticed he was up there and she waved. She climbed up the rope to Taal's house. "So, whacha been up to?" Miqu asked with a sparkle in her eyes. The morning sun drifted into the sky and it was no longer sunrise. The small birds of the red-pine forest were singing their mid-morning song. More Penguins were awake and running around trying to not be late for work and such. The coolness of the morning was starting to fade. But, dark clouds were coming, and were forshadowing rain later in the day. Miqu continued to look at taal.

Tillakoodle had awkwardly climbed back to her pathetic hut, carrying the mysterious creature, thrown it in the corner, and gone to sleep. The next morning, to her dismay she discovered that the creature she had stepped on yesterday had dissapeared. Tillakoodle knew it had been injured, so it couldn't have gone far....she decided go look for it outside. She needed a good long walk anyway. After a bit of brisk waddleing down the path near her home, she saw two penguins, one a crested, and the other a cat-penguin. They seemed to be conversing about something. Tillakoodle was intrigued. Weren't they in a war of some kind? it was rather unusual to see the two species talking peacefully and not arguing or giving death-threats. Tillakoodle decided to eavesdrop, and went just close enough to hear but not be seen.

Taal looked up at Miqu and stood up to welcome her politely, he stood facing her, he was taller than her but not an entire lot,
 then he answered her question "Nothing much, just got back from the market not to long ago and just finished putting the food I bought away" he said with a shrug then cracked a slight smile as he looked her in the eyes but in a friendly way "What about you? Anything new going on?" he asked her as he leaned back against the outside wall of his hut again but still waited for an answer.

"Eh.....same as usual. Hunted a bit, and got a couple of scratches but its all good." She smiled. She and Taal heard a crack. When he was leaning against the wall, it gave way and cracked. Miqu giggled as he fell over. "Well, you should probably fix that." she said helping him up. "Well, I better go! Have to head over to the Berry Grounds!" She jumped off Taal's porch leaving him there. She hummed a little toon as she got a basket and went to go pick wild berries. She was in the bushes when she heard a crackly growl. She pushed the bushes away and saw that a large wolf with blood dripping down it's huge, horrible fangs, glared at her. A dead animal was lying next to it. Miqu gasped as the beast came closer. She screamed and ran to the village with the crazy beast chasing her! Taal and Tilla saw and rushed down to fight the beast along with the rest of the village.

"Do you always get yourself into this much trouble?" Taal asked but in a joking way as he dodged one of the wolfs attacks and slashed its shoulder with a sword type of thing he picked up as he was running to fight the beast, the wolf roared in anger and turned most of his attention to Taal,
 the beast was
 lundging at him and swiping at his face but Taal being the warrior he was dodged it all easily, while the others in the village were keeping it distracted Taal managed to sneak around behind it and stab it with the sword on the side.

"Yeah this is pretty normal for me." Miqu said joining him and slashing the wolf with her talons. The wolf did not die, but fled into the forest, blood dripping from its side. "That was a very large wolf!" Miqu said wiping blood off her talons. The leader of the village wlaked over to Miqu and Taal. He was yelling and accusing Taal of leading the wolf into the village. Miqu pulled the leader aside and told him that it was her. He glared at her and told her not to go into the forest without supervision. Miqu stormed off back to her hut with Taal following behind her unnoticed.

Taal moved a little
 faster to catch up with Miqu and walked along side her "You know something?" he paused then turned around to face her so he was walking backwards next to her, then he added "I get so bored around here most of the time, if you are serious about getting in trouble so often I should probably start hanging out with you more often, just to keep myself occupied and entertained." he said, it was in a somewhat humorous way but he was dead serious
 as he flashed her a smile then turned back around again so he could see where he was going but was still walking next to her.

"Yeah, I get in a ton of trouble with my dad, who is the leader." She said grumpily. She led Taal to a large cave in the middle of the woods. "Now, this place is really cool. It has many unexplored caverns. and the best part is, we don't need a lantern. Tons of glow worms stick to ceiling and light the caverns. And its dangerous!" Miqu smiled deviously. She grabbed Taal's wing and led him into the cavers where they found many gems. They walked on and found an enourmous room. There was an underground lake with a small island in the center. Something seemed to be moving on the island.

"Perfect! Danger is my middle name,,," he hesitated then added "Ok well no it's not but you know what I mean." Taal said as he
 looked around the caverns within the cave, he'd never seen anything
 like it,
 the cave was strange
 somehow, yet within all of it's curiousity
 it was
 one of the most beautiful things he had ever seen
 in all his life, Taal looked around slowly trying to take it all in, he noticed the island in the middle of the lake that had gathered in the cave, and squinted, he was still holding Miqu's flipper
 and he quickend his steps to the edge of the water "You see that?" he whispered as he pointed onto the island, "There's something moving over there! Wanna go check it out?" he asked excitedly, Taal was dieing to know what was over there and wanted to go explore it.

Miqu smiled. "Lets go! I'll race you to the island!" so, they took off running and the swam to the small island. Taal beat Miqu only by a second and Miqu ended up giving him a friendly punch. As the emerged from the water, they saw five barrels of something with a skull on it. The thing moving was a cat-penguin and it took out a match. Miqu and Taal stared as the cat-penguin lit the barrels. "Run!" Miqu should dragging Taal with her. They made it about twenty feet to the exit before the explosion. It shook the caverns and caused huge rocks to fall blocking the exit. Miqu stared at Taal.

The northern region is home to many penguins. The desert L'room is very hot in the day and cold during night. Cactus can be found easily here. The large Desert of L'room is inhabited by strange cat-like penguins. Their huts are made of mud and their food supply is primarily cactus water and sand-fish. The mountains are completly covered with pine trees of all sorts. The mountain penguins are inhabited by small and muscular crested-penguins. They live in tree houses and their primary food supply is northern river goat-fish and wild berries with pine nuts. 

Mountain Places:

Pine Swamp- a boggy area that is easy to get lost in and die.

Forest- the pine forest

Treehouse Village- the village of the mountain penguins.

Babbling Brook- the brook where they get water and food.

Ice Peak Mtn- the highest peak in the northern mountains, supposedly home to the penguins' gods.

Berry Grounds- Where hundreds of berry bushes grow.

Desert Places:

Cactus grove- an area where many cacti live.

Sand-fish Plains- the plain in wich the sand-fish live and where they are hunted

Desert penguin Village- The mdu-hut village of the cat-penguins

The Well- the well where the cat-penguins get their fresh water. Also rumored to grant wishes

The Dunes- Hills of sand

The sacred Rocks- Large rocks in wich stories and myths are carved into.

The cat-penguins look like penguins except for they have a cat head and tail and are covored with fur.

 

The crested Penguins are just penguins with a large mobile crest on their heads. Some of which have two crests :P

The village of penguins in the north is home to many different types of penguins. Cat-penguins, crested-penguins, colored penguins, and normal penguins. The winters are cold and horrid but the summers are plesent and fair. But, a war has broken out between the desert penguins, and the mountain penguins.

The penguin tribes have been friends ever since something was stolen. They blame eachother for it and have been fighting. Will you make peace or join the war?

1   No godmodding and whatnot

2   your character can get hurt and possobly die but no killing another person's       character without permission!

3 no swearing or gore. a little blood is fine.

4 mates/crushes or allowed but nothing the mods wouldn't allow

5 be creative and have fun! and your Penguin can be any color :)
