The Labs
The labs are just that, the labs. The half-breeds are created here, and temporarily kept in small, often dirty cages. These labs are often connected directly to the offices of the scientists working on a project. Subjects here are under constant supervision as they stabilize from the initial experimentation, or more recent changes. New subjects start out here.
Subject Housing
Here are the rooms upon rooms of cages. These are usually larger than the initial cages, and much better kept. Subjects here are being actively studied, and are usually stable and healthy. If possible, subjects here will be kept in pairs or larger groups, if applicable to their 'species'.
Enclosures
There are three types of these enclosures, labeled A, B, and C. Enclosure C is the smallest type, the size of four connected football fields. B is the next largest, with the square footage of around a half mile squared. A is the largest yet, taking up two square miles. There are two type A enclosures, eight type B, and thirty type C on the sprawling properties.
Each enclosure has a pond of varying sizes, stocked with fish. There are also small mammals released for prey, and the occasional larger animal. The type A enclosures have small herds of deer living inside of them. Shrubbery is fertilized and watered by an automatic sprinkler system, to maintain health for herbivorous feeding.
The entire enclosures are monitored by survelance cameras, kept in the tree canopys. Workers also enter on occasion to do cleaning, and active study. Subjects kept here are watched to see how they interact with not only their own 'species' but the other altered humans.
Any fights between subjects are put to a stop with tranquilizers.
Housing
This is a worker only area. There are private rooms for each worker, excluding specific requests for couples who may bunk together in a larger complex. Basic amentities are provided, including delivery of requested foods and items with payment to be removed from their paycheck.
Welcome to the labs. Here is one of few facilities where work to continue the evolution of the human race has gone on. Scientists are paid hefty sums as they work here, to reward their hard work, and to keep them from spreading knoledge of the labs to the general public.
Scientists are switched out every three months, unless they request specifically to stay on the team for additional shifts. They are required, however, to take a three month leave at least every eighteen months. While at the facility, they are allowed daily video calls with loved ones, lasting up to two hours. The rest of the time, they are expected to refrain from contacting the outside world directly. They are allowed acess to mthe internet, but messages leaving the facility are heavilly monitored.
Scientists are taught not to question the subjects that come to them, often in the form of young children. These young children, in nine out of ten instances, are taken from orphanages at an age between two and sixteen years of age. Many were not old enough to remember time before the labs, and others have had there memories removed, through error or otherwise.
Children brought to the labs become more than human, splicing their DNA with that of an animal. In some cases, multiple species of animal are used, to help stabilize the new body struvcture further. It is a painful experience.
Even so, some subjects adjust quickly, and prefer their life after the change, while others are upset at what has happened to them, and attempt escape. Depending on their scientist caretaker, some subjects are given a direct or indirect choice of what animal they will have their DNA compined with.
Decades have passed since the experimentation has begun, and four out of every five subjects survive at this point, though the statistics used to be much lower. There are many older subjects still in existance, however, one of the earliest being number 275. At this point, on site studies have begun to see whether or not this half-human race can carry on on its own.
Workers will note, any workers who show signs of telling the public of the happenings in the labs tend to disappear, or turn into subjects themselves.
There is very little history in the labs known by any but the highest ranking scientists. It is common knowledge that some part of the government funds the labs. What this is for or how long it has been going on, is again, unknown by all except the highest ranking scientists.
See plot for further information.
Failure to follow the following rules will result in a warning. A 'three strikes your out' will be enforced. Message me if anything is unclear, or you have an issue with one of the rules. This is supposed to be fun, and I'm not trying to make it difficult for anyone. ;3
1) No cursing. Saying your character curses is fine, just not saying the curse.
2) Romance and 'breeding' is allowed. However, be reasonable. Know where too much is too much. If you want your character and another character to have a child, don't rp it out, just message each other, agree on it, and have it happen. Just please note that natural impregnation cannot happen between different half-breeds. Have a scientist do the work behind the scenes.
3) No killing characters without okaying it with the other player, and myself. Depending on the situation, it cannot be done. Fights getting too aggressive, as stated above, will be stopped by scientists. These subjects are worth to much money to let die easily!
4) No Mary or Gary-sues. No godmoding. No powerplaying. Just no.
5) You character, unless a scientist, will not have any electronic devices. Even a scientist having a phone or a music player is frowned upon.ÂÂÂÂ
6) No superpowers. This is not that kind of rp.
7) Just enjoy yourself, and don't ruin anyone else's opportunity to enjoy themselves.
8) Probably most importantly, I hold the right to add more rules if necessary.
Playable Subjects
Phase One Subject : Subjects numbering from 001 through 500. Very few have survived. They have a very unstable genetic structure. Reproduction is impossible. Message me before making one of these, as there are only few left.
Phase Two Subject : Subjects numbering from 501 through 2000. They have an average success rate. Their genetic structure is mostly stable. Reproduction is difficult, but has been successful.
Phase Three Subject : Subjects numbering 2001 and up. Very high success rate. Very stable genetic structure. Reproduction usually successful.
Playable Staff
Genetic Scientists :  These scientists 'create' subjects. They also work to better stabilize and improve the condition of current subjects. The work in making the subjects a self-sustaining species also falls under their work. So, they also work in reproduction.
Behavioral Scientists : These scientists study the subjects and note their behavior. They will observe the subjects in their enclosures, or when possible, communicate with them directly and interview them. They will also test the more cooperative subjects in their physical abilities.
Medical Staff : Trained in treating both humans and animals. Often have some sort of psychological training. Unfortunitally, due to limited staff, they are on staff enearly 24/7.
Containment Officers : Basically the guards of the facility. They are on call to calm violent outbursts among both subjects and workers. Only the high ranking officers have anything more deadly than a tranq gun. They are also trained in hand to hand combat, in case it becomes necessary. Under certain circumstances, are also in charge of 'escorting' risk scientists to the labs for experimentation.
Other Staff : Basically anything else around the facility that still needs to be done. Janitors, chefs, mechanics, ect. Anything needed to allow the facility to function independent from normal society.ÂÂ
I will make and play extra NPC characters as nessecary. Therefore, if something regarding your character needs to be done, let me know, and I'll get to work on it.
