Lunar stood near the groups nesting site, seeing the females of the group either laying on their clutch or gathering food she felt bored she had no clutch of her own so therefore she did not have to make a nest or worry about hatchlings she could simply do what she wanted, her gaze drifted to the sky for a breaf second before she pulled some leaves from a nearby bush, she chewed thoughtfully and began to walk away, more than once she was head butted or got swiped with a tail just so that she wouldn't stray to close to the nests, the other females made that quite clear as she lay down about a meter away from the rest of the group.

I signaled for my skybax to come, she came down quickly and landed in front of me, I put the saddle on her and we took off into the air, lesson number one in the skybax core "you never ride a skybax, you ride with a skybax." Also the getting to seek peace is fly high for skybax riders not breath deep. Lesson two "Never fly below the territory border into the pteranodon nesting grounds." Or at least thats close enough. Only problem is the sun stones are starting to fail and the pteranodons are coming past the border, so we have to stay in at night. 

She looked to the sky as she saw the Skybax flying she got to her feet and watched it but while she was watching she was always listning for any signs of danger Maisaura only had the small advantage of being in herds to protect themseles against predators and that barely ever gave them an advantage against the T-rex they could just snatch a Maisaura up when chasing it before it could say 'i told you so' when she finally stopped watching she saw two small dinosaurs near the trees, most likely egg snatchers, paying no attention however she carried on grzing the leaves from the bushes.

I made a screech when we flew over the  Maisaura herd. Jade giggled and leaned when I turned we made such a great team, she knew me inside out. 

After awhile we flew back to the canyons to see if we had any missions. The skybax caption Ino had a mission for us, we were to transport a sunstone from waterfall city to the hatchery, they needed a new one immediately. Jade out the backpack with the sunstone on her back and climbed on, I screeched and we took off to the hatchery to deliver the cargo, this was important if it didn't get there the eggs would die.

She saw the skybax coming back the other way and was puzzled "strange" she muttered, being one of the few dinosaurs lucky enough to have learnt the english language she  saw the egg snatchers coming closer and charged them, quickly changing direction with a loud cry as a T-rex appeared from the trees, the herd all looked up and began to run mothers abandoning eggs as they tried to save theirselves, leving the egg snatchers the T-rex saw a much bigger meal in the herd and with a loud call it gave chase, Lunar ran quickly keeping up with the herd careful not to be left behind.

Me and Jade heard the Rex and turned around quickly going after it. I grabbed the back of its head with my talons and kept doing so until it got annoyed and stomped away. I screeched and landed in the clearing, Jade jumped off my back and looked at the other dinos "Um sunda dellgota." she greeted them, Her sorean wasn't very good, but she was still learning. I screeched and spread out my wings, to tell her she said it wrong. She turned to look at me "Don't judge me." she giggled and looked at the other dinos "Anyone speak English?" she asked quickly.

Relaxing as the huge predator gav up the hunt the rest of the herd began to leave going back to the nesting site so that they could tend for their eggs and the many hatchlings that had been forgotten but Lunar spoke up "Only me and a few others in my herd have managed to learn the english language, i want to thank you for saving our herd" she dipped her head "You should be going you probably have better things to do than hang around with a omega like me" sighing she turned to leave back to th herd

"I'm a skybax rider, not heartless." I said to the dino "Your welcome, anyway I have to get this sunstone to the hatchery." I said and climbed on Diver's back. "I'll come back to see how your doing." I said and slipped on the goggles then held the handle "Lets go." I told Diver, he flapped his wings and lifted into the air easily, he flew up and hovered over the sorean "I'll back back I promise." I called down to her then me and Diver took off to the hatchery before it was too late. It was a smooth flight all the way.

Lunar nodded not counting on it, she walked back to her herd and lay down alone again she knew that not many kept their promises in the real world, she had never had a nest of her own as she had only just come of age and even now she was immature and at the end of the day an omega that was only needed to help defend the others in the group she waited for the Skybax and his rider to return but soon had to get up as she went to the bush she had been at before and began eating again.

We dropped off the sunstone and was heading back for the her, when we herd a huge crash. We turned aeound and landed to see what it was. Ahuge tree had fallen but it wasn't the tree that got my attention it was what made the tree fall, a Rex was standing there looking at us. Diver hissed and threw his wings up. This was a younger Rex and it looked hurt. The Rex took a step back, it looked scared. I tiltedmy head and took a step foeward, the Rex made a low growl, I stopped "Diver how do you say I'm not going to hurt you in sorean?" I whispered. The Rex tilted his head "Oh do you understand me?" I asked and put my hand out. Diver stood uneasy reay to attack if the Rex tried something. The Rex leaned down and touched his snout to my hand and made a small purr. Then turned and showed a huge thorn in his foot "Oh poor thing that must hurt." I said and walked up to his foot "Okay this might sting a little." I said and grabbed the thorn then pulled it out. The Rex roared and looked at his foot. I smiled and nodded then walked back to Diver "Your welcome." I smiled. The Rex nodded back and said "Breath deep." "Fly high." I responded and hopped on Diver's back "Bye." I waved as we flew off.

Lunar looked up as she saw the Skybax and it's rider returning she let out a roar making everyone in her herd look up she walked away from the nesting site and stood where she was before she wanted to learn more about the two companions why had they helped the herd, there were loads of other places they could have been, important places but they chose to help them, she knew that whoever they were they were friendly even to an omega like herself it was surprising she watched the skybax and began grazing while she waited for them to land.

I landed near the grazer "Sundaya Dellgotta." I nodded and looked at Jade, she giggled "Ok I know I said it wrong." she said lightly then looked at the   Maisaura "I told you we would be back, but we can only stay for a little we do have some stuff to do. With becoming a skybax trainer, comes responsibility." Jade said taking off my saddle. I looked at her and tilted my head "Its not like it takes long to put it back on." she giggled I smiled and folded my wings down, it made me look like I was laying down. Jade showed the thorn to the grazer "Did you hear the roar, it was a Rex, it seemed different then other Rex." she said and sat down.

"All Rex's are the same they all hunt grazers and take more than what they need from each herd" she snorted "as if we didn't have enough to worry about with migrations and egg snatchers" she plucked some leaves from a bush nearby and said "why did you come back, you didn't need to, nobody stays for long, we leave in about a week or so, after the eggs have hatched i should think, we need to migrate to somewhere where there is enough food for the whole herd" she sigh watching the skybax with interest she then looked to the girl.

"I'll ask Caption Ino if I can keep an eye on the migration." I smiled "If i don't have anything to do. Also I came back because I promised, skybax don't break promises even if they need to they don't, I think thats rule seven." I said and thought for a moment. "Anyway I would love to watch the migration to make sure the herd makes it. Rexs are becoming more and more active, but no one knows why, food is becoming harder to find.Their also being pushed out of their territory by the spinos." I said with a sigh.

"Spinosaurus? If there ever was a predtor worse than the rex's it is the Spinosaurus" she snorted "between them and the Rex's thety have been the cause of wiping out our herd, the only reason we remain is because the number of eggs that hatch, very few are infertile" she frowned as she watched the herd "most of the omegas in the group have been wiped out because they are the once least supported in the group" she bent to graze again but she didn't take her eyes off of them "it seems a pretty dumb rule" she said with a sigh.

Dinotopia the island of dinosaurs.
The island of Dinotopia is a wonderful place with many different dinosaurs, the only place where dinosaurs still live in the current day. People get shipwrecked and end up on Dinotopia. Once they learn the language and laws of Dinotopia they are assigned a habitat, some of the sky that go to ride with the Skybax, some of the sea who go to train with the dolphins, some of the earth who work the farm land, and some of the land who go to the hatchery and get their dinosaur partner. Which are you?
When the meteor fell from the sky the dinosaurs on dinotpoia were able to survive because of the sunstone cave. The sunstones give light and energy, but now they are failing.
