Though far from its dawn, it is the beginning of a new world, a new planet. Much like our own “Earth” at first glance this planet, though young, and still in the prime of its life is far more advanced than our own. The plants grow where the wish, no human touch, and animal life is spread far and wide, no machine can be seen in the prehistoric world and though it is given such a title the world is far from our own imagine of prehistoric. The trees are tall and closely resemble the oaks and elms and cedars. The grass grows long or short, and the seasons are so similar you would think Earth had a twin and yet… In this world so far away in a different galaxy, the creatures that roam here are far more developed than their Earthling cousins. Welcome to Yuthon. (U-t-on)

You will join as one of the three most developed, highest-on-the-food-chain, races on the planet. Two of these species are carnivores and one is a herbivore. These three races live spread across the planet’s wide span of territory. Some choose to live in peace with their fellow creatures; some choose to live in war. It’s up to you to decide who to be, what to do, and how to do it whilst battling nature as a second ice age pulls in on the mass of the world’s north and western hemispheres, covering a good portion of the planet. Join with your own species and try to make a permanent and single dominating race out of yourselves or play a peace maker, trying to bring the three very different species together.

The top of the food chain [The species listed below closely resemble that of Earth’s wolves, big cats, and bears; in that order.]:

Ichan – The wolf. Though probably the most similar in structure to Earth’s canis lupis, the Ichan have developed many streams of mutation in their genes, spreading and forming under the conditions of their habitat. These mutations include but are not limited to wings, horns, elongated fangs, lengthy claws, excess tails, extended tail lengths, etc. These creatures however cannot gain a mutation that does not benefit them whether in a positive or negative fashion. [Every mutation must have a logical, well thought out reason as to how it helps and/or harms the character. An Ichan with wings for instance, though skilled in the sky, will find walking the land to be difficult and will often have unsteady feet and be slightly off balance.] An Ichan’s colours are within the same distinctions of an Earthing wolf’s patterns. The Ichan’s have a strictly carnivorous diet.

Raeki – The big cat. Structures very from lean and built for speed to thick and built for power. The Raeki, despite the variations in their size are only large. Their Lueki brothers however (resembling the lynx or the modern house cat) actually tend to be prey for the Raeki. They only ever have one tail, and the mutations for the Raeki are far more limited than the Ichan and the Bugho though their markings give them their unique touch. Having an omnivorous diet the Raeki does not have to rely mainly on hunting to sustain themselves and therefore their colors tend too, but are not limited to, be bright and vibrant colors with the few exceptions. Their patterns vary from stripes to spots to none at all but can easily make the Raeki vulnerable and without camouflage. [Please, when posting a Raeki character, give some hint of what the Raeki is resembling based on an Earth species such as lion, tiger, cheeta, leopard, to give us a better inkling of how they appear.]

Bugho – The bear. Smaller than the typical Earth bear, the Bugho also has a few varying appearances. Their ears and tails tend to be quite diverse in size, length and shape, giving them their own trademark if you will. Bugho tend to rarely be seen with the short stubby tails that Earthling bears are known for and can have anything between a tail that is thin and barely a foot long to a tail that is thick and anywhere to five feet in length [like that of a kangaroo’s so to speak]. Bugho have a strict carnivorous diet unlike their bear cousins.

The bottom of the food chain [The prey and less evolved species – closely compared to other Earth animals. Use your imagination in describing these.]:

Buki – Birds of prey, no specifics

Yetun – Elk

Ginge – Fox

Teeka – Deer

Busta – Horse

Hungy – Moose

Retne – Rodents, no specifics

Lueki – Small cats

Teer – Coyote

Chicha – Reptiles, no specifics

Ettiti – A substitute word for any creature you’d like to put it that isn’t listed.

For hundreds of years the planet Yuthon has been growing, changing, and shaping into a new life-sustaining planet. After the first ice age, life spread throughout the world in a burst, hundreds of years taken off the growth of the plants now thriving plant life. But nature has decided to refresh itself and another ice age is around the corner for the young planet. The steady seasons of Yuthon have been disrupted and though still years away from the world’s new strike, things have become steadily harder for the various races and species of the planet. In Spring life still blossoms but there is not enough foliage to fully sustain and satisfy the massive herds of herbivores. In Summer life is hard as drought after drought takes hold of the whole north-western side, making water hard to obtain, and plants ever scarcer. Winter has become far more brutal, temperatures reaching the point of death for the planet’s smaller animals in the peak of its Season. Fall has become colder as well as it strips the last bits of foliage from the ground. The world has become a harsh place indeed.

-The characters created must be kept to the three main species. The lower-chain species are there merely for extra role play fillers if you want to interact with something else.

-Strictly follow the rules of whatever species you create. Each one has unique pieces to their species, do not try and change that.

-Maximum of two characters per player. It is preferred that one be male, one be female, but it is not required.

-It is also preferred you carefully balance out the species and the mutations. Check the other characters before you post. I do not want fifty Ichan with wings or forty Bugho with long kangaroo tails and tall ears.

-Please follow forum and site rules and keep swearing and mature content to a very strict minimum. Replacement swears are fine, you can even make up your own word like Battlestar Galactica did with the word “Frak”.

-Violence at a minimum is permitted; killing is as well with the roleplay leader’s permission and the other player’s.

-Mating graphically is not allowed and should be faded to black and though relationships are allowed, please do not fill every post with, “Greg licked Donna affectionately and refused to do anything else because he is obsessed with Donna and has no life what so ever…” This is not a romance novel. Thank you. Also please no “love at first sight”. Form a relationship please…

-Common sense. This is a rule. If you aren’t sure what it is then please go spend a week learning it.
