Kaljak swiftly ran (it would look like erratic hopping to any non-mudskipper) through the maze. Luckily, in this area, unlike most, the air was humid, which allowd him to use his communication sail. Suddenly, he stopped. He heard something breathing. Something huge. Huge beyond beleif. Suddenly, he stopped, and looked about this collosal hall. They had been getting bigger. Maybe it wasn't a large hall, maybe he was just too small... No. That was preposterous. Then, the deafening roar of the breath was heard again. The beast was coming closer. It was very dark, and, as such, he turned on his night vision, pressed himself against the wall, and clutched his dagger tightly.
He was searching through the area for any source of food, he was hungry as his kind always was, it was easy to search through the area he was in even though there was total darkness. He smelled and searched for any sign of food, too hungry to care about getting out this second. As he scurried around he heard something, maybe it was food. He fallowed the noise until he came to see two creatures, some sort of small fish looking creature, and a beast. The beast looked similar to a bear, he ignored the small fish looking creature because he knew the bear looking creature would have much more meat. He snarled and pounced on the bear creature biting it's neck and clawing at it trying to do as much damage as possible. The bear creature went down and now Inubus could eat.
Kaljak pressed himself against the wall, as a second gigantic creature, smaller, though more fearsome than the first, regarded him for a few second, before tearing into the beast. It looked to be some sort of mutated lupine, though he could be wrong in this respect. The strangest thing was that the only heat it gave off was from the friction of muscles moving against eachother. Even now, it was fading into the darkness. Kaljak didn't know if, at this point, the creature would be easier to see without the Infrared. He approached slowly, to see it, A. the animal was intelligent, and if B. he could somehow communicate with it, thanking it. He may run into large animals in the future, and a gaurdian of some sort would be hand,y however much he hated to admit it.Â
Inubus was so busy tearing up and eating the bear creature that he didn't notice the fish creature approaching. He turned and almost jumped when he saw how close the fish creature was. He growled warning the creature to take a few steps back, "Leave me alone." He looked at the creature, it occured to him that this creature might not speak his language. He looked away and went back to eating. He only took notice of the fish creature when it moved a bit closer. Inubus looked at the creature, he had no idea what it wanted, food maybe? This creature ceartainly didn't look like the kind that could handle tough meat like this. He looked at the creature strangely wondering how he could communicate with it. He usually would shoo away creatures like these or eat them, never bothering to make any sort of contact most times. Inubus saw this creature had a weapon though, from when the bear creature was attacking it. He moved closer to the creature, wondering what it wanted and if it was hostile to him.
Oaglor and Veloco were walking silently through the halls of the maze. When his large pointed ears picked up some strange noises from somewhere kind of close, the troll crouched down and drew out his bow. He then silently said to Veloco "Ya best be staying here, Veloco. Oaglor be checkin' dis situation out." The raptor stayed and Oaglor snuck around the walls as he tracked down the noise. Finally after minutes of searching, he found the source of the noise. There were two strange creatures, one that was gray and bony and the other looked like some sort of fish. Oaglor watched these two from the darkness to see if they were hostile or not.
As Kaljak was about to attempt communication through gestures, when a third animal (at this point, he counted himself as small rather than them as large) ran from out of nowhere. It walked on two legs, and looked to have a similar anatomy to the fearsome Clapes of the south. It even had a similar stance, and both were gigantic monsters, though this one was much bigger. Kaljak, who actually rose into the air slightly from the shakes of the ground from the monster's thunderous footsteps, leaped into a defensive stance, though his exposed side was towards the first monster, the one that looked like bones, as it seemed peaceful so far. he hoped his efforts wouldn't look ridiculous.
Inubus could easily see the tusked creature in the shadows with his eyes. He growled defensively over his kill, thinking that it would be stolen from him. It took him a few moments this tusked creature didn't seem to be after his food. He noticed this creature stood well over him and stood on two legs, while he was on all fours. Inubus saw the creature had a weapon so he took a step back, he looked at the fish-like creature that seemed to be in some defensive stance. He looked back at the tusked creature, and carefully looked at it's weapon, it seemed to be some sort of bow he had seen humans use before, which ment he must also have fancy pointy sticks too. Inubus had once been hit by one, they hurt terribly and were a pain to take out. He spoke hoping this creature could speak his language, "What do you want?"
Oaglor watched as the fish creature went into a defensive state and the bony creature actually said something he could understand. The troll cleared his throat and said "I be Oaglor. I went through a strange portal in dhe Firelands while fightin' da Ragnaros. It seems da portal took me to dis place. I be wishin' no trouble." Oaglor kept to his word and put the bow away and raised his hands in the air in a calm manner to show that he wasn't going to harm these other creatures. The troll then took a step back to give them their space.
Inubus felt safer when he knew this tusk creature meant no harm. He had no idea what half the things he had mentioned were however. Usually his kind wouldn't bother to speak to anyone but their own, however seeing he was in some area that seemed to have no end, he could definitely make acception. He wasn't familliar with this tusk creatures kind, in fact Inubus hadn't even heard of such creatures in his life, then again practically nothing seemed familiar. He guessed he should at least introduce himself since this tusk creature was already here, though it took him a few minutes of deciding whether or not to eat him. "My name is Inubus, what are you?"
Kaljak, who, at this point, was slightly less thoroughly terrified than a moment before, attempted communication by through various mudskipper languages. The seven he attempted didn't even get a response. Well, they certainly didn't know his language.he brought his sail back down into his suit, and closed the slit so that he wouldn't dry out quickly. Then, he approached the carcass, which at the moment was not gaurded, and began to cut a very small chunk from it with his dagger, as the two much larger creatures communicated wiht eachother through some strange, inellagant language comprised out of guttural noises.Â
Oaglor looked to the other two creatures and said "I'll be right back. I need ta get mah rapta." He then went through the halls until he got to Veloco who was still sitting there. "Alright Veloco. Ya can go wit' me now." said Oaglor as the raptor followed him. The troll and his pet went through the halls again to get to the other creatures. As soon as the two got there, Veloco started to growl a bit in suspicion of these weird creatures. Oaglor said to the raptor "Dese guys be lost too. Dey be friends." Veloco stopped his growling but still watched the other two creatures,
He looked at the large lizard creature that had growled a second ago. The creature didn't look safe by his standards, what made things worse was he didn't know if he should trust this tusk creature. Inubus turned and looked back at the fish creature, he still had no way of comunivation to it yet, but honestly what did it matter? He thought leaving the area completely would be a better and simpler solution. Inubus looked back at the troll and his weapons, would eating him really be worth getting hit by many pointy sticks? He looked at the raptor snarling a bit, warning it to back off a bit. He then looked at the troll, wondering if he'd be able to take him down before he could pull out an arrow.
Kaljak, being of very small stature, found acts of slight aggresion or even the expressions while pondering aggresion to be enough to send an average citizen into a coma. However, he was not an average citizen. Taking the peice of meat a third of his own size he'd carved from the carcass, he stalked into the darkness, as there was very little chance he'd be able to communicate with the monster's who conversed here. He figured that, since his electric shock was powerful enough to short circuit an entire city, he could at least stun one of the gigantic monsters.
Inubus figured that killing the troll and it's raptor wouldn't be worlth the risk. He looked back to see the strange fish creature was trying to hide in the shadows. He couldn't escape from his eyesight, but honestly he could care less. Inubus was losing interest, he moved back over to his carcass failing to see where the fish creature had cut off a piece of meat. Before he could start eating again he heard a strange noise, it sounded like a howl of some sort. When he looked around rue noticed it wasn't any IOC these other creatures, it had to be coming from some other area of this endless void of a labyrinth. It was either the wind or some other sort of creature.
Oaglor's long pointed ears also heard the noise and looked around to see what it was. It wasn't any of his two new acquaintances and he took out his bow in preparation for what was to come. He then said to Veloco "Alright bruddha, it be killin' time for whateva be comin'." Oaglor and Veloco kept themselves quiet to try to detect any more sounds that are coming. Oaglor looked to Inubus to see if he knew where this threat is coming from. While Oaglor looked to his peer, Veloco tapped his toe claws to the floor and crouched down in preparation to jump at the intruder.
