Tyrannosaurus
Undoubtedly the most famous of all dinosaurs (besides Indominus) Tyrannosaurus was also one of the largest and most powerful of the carnosaurs. Tyrannosaurus was so large, in fact, that some scientists believe that it couldn't have moved quickly enough to have been a effective predator and must have been a carrion-eater. Following close skeletal study, however some paleontologists believe that Tyrannosaurus was actually a tremendously strong hunter; equipped with extraordinarily powerful jaws and serrated teeth up to 7" long. Packs of Tyrannosaurus may have preyed on the abundant Triceratops by chasing a stampeding herd, choosing a single victim, and then confronting its deadly horns in a battle unparalleled among dinosaurs.
Physical Characteristics: 40' long or more; 4-8 tons. Hind limbs powerfully muscular; forelimbs short but comparatively strong. Skull 4' long; great jaws anchored by tremendous muscles.
