"Oh Nightling...yes I am happy to have her out there. I am confident no one will even dare to harm you while she's on guard." Tyrann laughed when Kit mentioned he should have more rugged staff memebers. "Well, I do suppose that is true: however, Nightling is a tad scary when in her...whatever you call this, state." The king chuckled again while gesturing to the shade outside the door.

After a moment of thinking Tyrann decided to tell Kit what he had been feeling about the little gold egg. "Kit, I really feel as though, and this may sound weird, but I feel as though, the little yellow egg there..." He pointed to the larger yellow oval closest to Kitsune's stomach, "...I really feel like that one is a boy. Is that weird? I have this sort of connection to it. I am almost certain he is a male. I don't feel that way about any of the others, not that I do not love them less." Tyrann paused a second. "Maybe the others are females like you wanted? Lord, three girls. We will have our hands full." Tyrann gave a small laugh and looked to his queen with deep, red eyes. "I wonder if any of them will look like me...or you..."

Sparky placated Nightling with food before getting a better seat to watch the mayhem that was about to occur... Jaclyn was coming and she was angry... Sure enough Nightling attacked her, blood splattered and Jaclyn ran off with a bloodied snout and a cut above her eye... Nightling decided enough was enough and she went inside. My lord, my lady there is something that you need to know about the dragoness Jaclyn... She bedded the Wicked... I saw it on a scry and she keeps trying to cause trouble... She tried to come in here while the queen was laying and she had more than enough malice in her eyes for me to chase her off... She also keeps trying to come in here and it is like she is in a trance when she does... Pain and injury seem to snap her out of it... Hence the reason I keep attacking her... I have no authority but I want her gone..."

Sparky came in and looked grim. "Jaclyn keeps prowling around here... Nightling is the only thing that scares her off... But she's also the only one who habitually uses light magic... Something the Wicked feared... I know that because my granny said her sister in law scared him or at least one of his possessed goons off with a simple flash..." Nightling's markings were still glowing... It was clear the Wicked feared the light... Light elemental shades were rare to begin with... With the Wicked becoming more active they were under threat...

Kitsune looks at the golden egg and flicks it gently with her tail. "I feel you are right Tyrann. It may be a boy. And Heir to your throne possibly?" She giggles. "And three girls would be wonderful!" She scowls. "Three boys would be the problem." She laughs some more. "All Boyd do is fight and wrestle. Imagine the items that would get broken!" She sighs shaking her head.

Listening to Nightling intently , Kitsune starts out in a low gutters growl, that soon (once Nightling finishes talking) is a full out ground shaking growl. "Get that...that..Harlow OUT if this castle at ONCE! Nightling, Sparky  do whatever it takes but get her OUT!" She says, leaving no room for poor Tyrann to speak his mind as her decision is final and she continues a growl.

Tyrann knew as soon as Nightling had come into his room something was up. the shade usually only kept to herself unless in dire emergencies. As soon as the king had been notified, he too wanted Kitsune's half sister out of his castle and locked in a cell.

"Kit..." Tyrann calmed his raging mate,"..if she is truly a bride of The Wicked, she must be kept in a cell under lock and key so that she cannot take any information she has gathered here back along to The Wicked. In fact, Nightling could watch her and make sure she goes no where." Tyrann turned to Nightling, sure of what he was about to order would amuse the shade very much. "Take her a put her in a cell in your quarters. Test her. Scry her. Watch her. Get every ounce of information out of her as you possibly can. Beat her if you have to. She came here for a reason, walked right into my castle, and I want to know why." Tyrann ordered and the deed was done. The massive red dragon got up and walked over to his window and silently stared out into the ocean, hoping the waves would wash away his fear.

Kitsune growls- disagreeing with Tyrann for now- but keeps her mouth shut, as what Tyrann says goes. She watches Nightling smile when Tyrann gives her permission to beat Jaclyn and chuckles. Watching Nightling and Sparky leave, she turns her attention to Tyrann.

Silence follows a good three maybe four minuets after the shade and Sparky had left. Kotsune leaves Tyrann before curiosity gets the better of her. "Tyrann...darling..." She speaks, when no answer comes she sighs. "Tyrann...why don't you come over here? I'm sure you've been no closer than 3 feet to your eggs..." Again left with silence for an answer she sighs.

"Tyrann please...say something. You're starting to worry me and I...I don't know what I think but I know you would be a happy happy dragon if you came over and replaced my tail with yours..." She suggests, removing her tail from arpund the eggs.

Nightling said "He can watch everything through her eyes so she is reporting back to him every instant... All we can do is kill her... or attempt a purge which just might kill her in the process... He's most likely covered his tracks so interrogation is pointless... I'll just kill her and save us all the trouble... At least I have a fix on his magic so now I can spot his magic in the future..." Nightling went and committed the act. A black mist evaporated into the air and there was a hollow inside the she dragon... Possessions literally ate one from the inside out and once there was nothing left to feed on they started to drain magic... Light shades had a resistance to possessions so did shadow shades... But Nightling knew the Wicked's signature now and she'd be able to spot anyone else he tried to send that he'd used magic on...

Adrah chuckled softly, she had noticed midway through speaking that he wasn't fully there, raising an eyebrow she immediately assumed she was boring him. Tapping her claws against the floor lightly, it was a nervous tick of hers way since being a little hatchling. Whether she were in trouble, or simply afraid or nervous. She looked up to him once he began to talk, a gentle nod coming from the dragoness. "That's great to hear." Adrah smiled softly, looking back to the door where Tyrann and the Queen were possibly looking after their eggs.

"And you?" The burnt orange male responded with a sort of glaze over his eyes. Adrah flashed another brief smile. She really didn't want to bore him any further than she felt she was doing already. She allowed a small sigh to pass her lips, before a small nod was made.

"I slept well, thank you." Adrah confirmed, raising back to her feet. "I think I hear breakfast calling my name." She delcared halfheartedly. She thought they had been getting somewhere good, but as usual, her head had been in the clouds. "I wouldn't want to bore you any more than I already have." With that the white dragoness took off down the hall, in search of breakfast. Food sounded like a mighty good idea, having hardly eaten the previous day.

Bigger than her hunger was this self consciousness, bringing up assumptions for her to fear. A need to impress was her biggest enemy, and she just didn't know when to stop. Adrah was sure she'd messed up with the one dragon she had ever felt anything for other than friendship or a common fondness.

As soon as Adrah made a motion to leave, it took him till she was halfway down the stairs to snap out of his trance. His electric turquoise eyes shot open and he burst into a sprint, rearing like a horse to gain speed.

"Adrah, wait!" The prince shouted, very intent on explaining himself. She must've thought he was a total jerk, when in reality, Saxon was just battling the darkness of his past.

Finally catching up to her at the dining hall, Saxon screeched to a halt in front of the white dragoness he cared a lot more about than he realized. "Please let me explain myself..." Saxon pleaded as he looked down at Adrah's beautiful blue eyes. Lord how he could get lost in the sea of blue...

"I'm really sorry it seemed like I was ignoring you Adrah, I really wasn't. Just the whole idea of birth and mating...well it freaks me out. I haven't exactly ever heard or had good experiences with those specifics topics. It wasn't you, it was me trying to escape from some very old demons from my past I'd rather leave behind.." Saxon tried to explain. Maybe he should tell Adrah about that loneful time of his mother in the mountains as the multitude of guards that surrounded her during the The Wicked's reign....and why he shouldn't be the heir to the Mountain Throne...

Adrah pushed open the large oak doors of the dining hall, it was practically empty other than some maids and a few cooks. Her hunger was speaking to her more than ever, the delicious smell of breakfast invading her keen sense of smell, her mouth salivating at the mere thought of food. Whether her family ate depended on her, it was both a burden and an honour, to be of use still. Usually her father would bring home fish that weren't fit for castle use. Ones that were damaged in catching. It still made a fine meal nonetheless. Adrah's father loved his job. Her mother was a typical housewife, though occasionally turned her hand to making fine clothes for the royal family.

It dawned on Adrah how much her parents must be worrying for her. It had been days since she saw them last, and it worried her much more how the new clutch was. If there were any problems with laying. How many were laid. The white dragoness turned her head once she heard Saxon burst into the room, raising a curious eyebrow as he approached her quite hastily.

"I'm really sorry it seemed like I was ignoring you Adrah, I really wasn't. Just the whole idea of giving birth and mating...well it freaks me out. I haven't exactly ever heard or had good experiences with those specific topics. It wasn't you, it was me trying to escape some very old demons from my past I'd rather leave behind..." Saxon tried to explain. Hearing this, Adrah instantly felt symapthy for him, embrasing him in a gentle hug. She was getting used to these feelings of hers. She couldn't say she had any experience of mating herself, it was a foreign topic. Eggs on the other hand, she had experience of.

"Don't worry, Saxon. Having eggs.. well, the novelty has worn off a little. I've been through so many of my mothers that I just.. I guess I wouldn't give it much mind if I didn't have any myself, and well mating.. thats something different all together." Adrah said, becoming quite embarrassed. She didn't want to reveal her zero experience of the matter. "I completely understand, dont worry."

Saxon understood what Adrah said and that she meant no harm or any intent to make him feel uncomfortable. He wanted to tell her so dearly about his past, in fact, Saxon felt like he could tell this dragoness anything. Adrah was taking his world by storm.

"It is okay." He said, enjoying their brief yet emotion filled hug. "It was just I couldn't help but remember...remember what happened to my mother...." Saxon paused, getting a little choked up,"...during The Wicked's reign over most of Bazul." He was holding all his emtions in and in was so difficult for the prince because he knew it wasn't his fault. And that's why he hated himself for it. "And why I shouldn't be the heir to my uncle's throne..." Saxon was fighting, fighting an internal battle that was spilling out over onto his face. His entire demeanor dropped as he fought to keep it all inside. But, the copper dragon knew one day he would have to tell someone. Saxon took Adrah out of the castle and into the courtyard they had spent time together before in. It was about noon when the prince began his story.

"Before I was born, when The Wicked's soldiers came to the Mountain Colony, Crash Rex and my father weren't letting them get anywhere near the castle. But on the night of the raid my mother....my mother had gone out on her nightly stroll like she usually did. The soldiers found her on the mountain pass just up by the border of the Ice Colony and the Mountain Colony. You do know what The Wicke'd soldiers did to the females? When they raided the villages?" Saxon finally looked up to Adrah, eyes full of sorrow and self loathing. "They raped them Adrah, they raped her, my mother. The dragoness who had been so full of pride and love and compassion, had it taken away from her that night. And the worst part is..." Tears began to swell in the corner of Saxon's eyes,"...one of those b*stards is my father..." Saxon dropped his head and pulled it close to his chest. If self hate were ever a face, it would be the one Saxon had on.

Adrah watched him quietly. She could see the fear in his eyes, the internal battle within his mind. She wanted to take it all away from him. She wanted the happy, but terribly annoying Saxon she knew as a teen. She followed him closely, walking beside him when he lead her outside. She'd occationally allow one of her two fine tails wrap reassuringly around his. Adrah wanted him to know more than anything, that she was there for him.

Sitting down witn him, she watched his internal struggle as he began to tell her of his true parentage, unable to mask the horror on her face. She had heard of such things, her father had taught her to fight, just in case such events happened in her lifetime. As soon as Saxon dropped his head, Adrah pounced right to him, wrapping her arms tightly around him, as well as her wings. The fluffy plumage ecasing him. She was so endearingly protective of him. "Where you came from, who your father is; that doesn't define you. It doesn't make you who you are, you decide that for yourself." Adrah said quietly, nuzzling him softly.

She couldn't explain the concoxion of emotions she was feeling. Anger, sadness, and somewhat of a relief. She was glad he had told her after all of this time. That he trusted her with such information. "You deserve that throne, Saxon. Your father was the dragon that raised you, that loved you since you were an egg, and even your uncle. Not some filthy carebear." Adrah told him. "You're still the same dragon to me you were when we first met. This is not the making of you, okay?" She added, still keeping him in her embrace.

Saxon reliquished in the hug Adrah gave him, her words, as gentle as he's ever heard them, relaxing the battle raging inside of his soul. Adrah's feathers tickled his nose but he didn't make a sound, just enjoyed the compassion she offered. He felt as though all his cards were on the table now to someone who truly knew him, someone someday he would like to call his queen.

Adrah's words meant a great deal to him because he knew they were true. "Thank you Adrah, I know. Ripper is my father and always will be. Not whoever he was. I just hate, that, that my mother had to look at me. Everytime she saw my face she must've, she must've been reminded of that night in the mountains. She told me when I was 100, as she figured I was old enough to know. She said Ripper knew and that he loved me like any son of his own, because to him, I was." Saxon started to feel a little bit better now. "I feel as though her only salvation from the entire situation was that I looked like her, that I was her son. Not the son of  a killer..."

Adrah nodded softly, feeling him relax within her hold. "I'm glad, you will make a great Rex, Saxon; because after all of that, all of that heartache, you'll have a stronger drive to protect your people, I just know it. You're a complete goof ball, but you're the best goof ball." She smiled. "Ripper would be so proud of you, so extremely proud. To see you now, beginning to accept what happened. Your mother loved you, just as much as your siblings. I don't think what happened ever made her doubt that."

Adrah was as reasuring and comforting as she possibly could, clear by how she remained to be holding him. "Otherwise, she would have destroyed the clutch you were born in, but that strong, strong dragoness accepted what happened and she knew your father would love you, and protect you just like any other hatchling. She did too." Adrah nodded, settling her head just under his chin, settling in a little closer.

He was quickly becoming the centre of her entire universe, and she hated seeing him in such termoil and pain. She took it upon herself to free him of that and distract his mind. "How about some breakfast, because I am absolutely starved. I think my stomach may hate me at this moment in time." Adrah gave a gentle chuckle. "I just want to thank you also, for sharing such a hard time in your life with me. I'm glad you trust me enough to tell me."

Nightling knew she smelled like black magic but she was exhausted and hungry... Jaclyn had been hollowed out... Having the affair with the Wicked accelerated the possession which literally ate the victem from the inside out... Nightling heard Saxon's story and said "Saxon is it? The Wicked possessed his raiding parties rendering them infertile... The only type of dragon to retain their fertility during a possession is a shade... So your sire could not have been one of those raiders..."

Sparky added "Shades are actually resistant to possessions so the only ones that are willingly embraced it... Plus shades have the higher magical potentcy to slow the damage... We just had to deal with a possessed dragon... Remember the smell and it'll make it easier to spot trouble..." Nightling swallowed her roasted kais and said "Sparky regular dragons can't smell black magic..." "Oh right..."

The large male dragon was staring out the window as the sun went down in the Cove Colony. Tyrann was lost in thought, only being expunged from his inner monologue when Kit started to speak to him a bit louder.

"Tyrann please...say something. You're starting to worry me and I...I don't know what I think but I know you would be a happy happy dragon if you came over and replaced my tail with yours..." Kit suggested, moving her tail from around the four precious ovals by her side. Tyrann pondered the idea for a moment, then made his descion as he walked over to lay beside the nest, not in it. Unfortunately for Tyrann, he was just to big to fit in the nest with his mate.

"They are...quite lovely, yes?" Tyrann managed to say. He was busy very intently watching his eggs. Typically, male dragons did not possess a very strong paternal instinct; however, the Chaos Dragons and a few other species were an acception. The aura of the unborns made his protective, fatherly nature go rogue, a feeling he was trying to figure out, obviously.

"I'm sorry Kit, I just don't know what to do now. My mother and father never told me how to raise hatchlings. I'm feeling really...odd I suppose. I just don't feel like myself." Tyrann admitted. The red dragon then caressed the black egg with the end of his tail, feeling that much more protective over his hatchlings and his wife. "Are you ready for this?" Tyrann looked to Kit. Tyrann suddenly stood aloof, head up and on high alert.

"Someone has joined us in the castle...."
