Clayton paused to look at her. It seemed like a rather obvious question but he decided to humor her. He had asked many questions he was sure she found strange.

"I can't say it's pleasant." He said. "It does hurt, expecially if you are unhealthy or wounded in some way. But I'm sure you don't have a problem with it. You seem to have changed on your own accord quite often. The more you do it the less aweful it gets. I never have a reason to though, so it hasn't gotten much better." He said. Then he smiled softly.

"It's okay though, it doesn't last long."

Maria blinked in a surprised way, truly stunned that anyone would really feel pain while transforming. She had done it so often while living in the woods to hunt that it became natural - she and her wolf were friends. They never seemed to have problems, and their interests were more often than not alighned during the full moon.

"That's awful. It's like being at odds with your wolf. My wolf... when I choose to transform... we work together. Neither of us is in charge. There's a harmony, and because of that during the full moon I'm usually very present. I can't remember most of what happens afterwards - there's no need to - but I can't imagine..." Maria murmured, tugging lightly at her hair in distress.

"If you have a say in what happens like that, then why don't you get her to get along with other wolves so she doesn't have to be locked up. I doupt she wants that." Clayton said.

Changing was always a struggle for him, even when it was not full moon. There were others that could change so quickly and painlessly. Most of them were watchers, he guessed it was part of their training to be able to shift like that.

The mess hall came into view and there weren't very many people in line just yet. But instead of rushing to get a place in line, Clayton stopped dead in his tracks. His body stiffened and his sholders rose. He looked down at the ground in front of him and took a few steps backward.

Greyson walked confidently down the path. He had an odd satisfation whenever he saw a slave shy away from him. It made him feel important and powerful. The lack of control in his childhood had caused him to be a bit of a control freak. He could become very stressed and angred if he didn't have control of everything around him.

Tonight was full moon and there was a whole litter that are going to be out of the nursery this time. They needed to be set up to judge their wolf's temperment, as well as that new slave he had bought before. He had already competely forgotten her name.

It was his intention to go get the pups first to allow Maria time to eat, but he had already spotted her. He wouldn't make her go without food on a night like this without reason, but he would make her come to the open area the moment she was done.

He walked up to the pair and Maria's companion reacted to him in the typical way, acting submissive to keep out of trouble.

"I want you to go straight to the area for full moon the moment you have finished eating. I assume you have already been shown where that is." Greyson said, and he looked over at the male slave he expected was meant to show her around. He flinched as if Greyson had slapped him.

Maria took her own time to avert her eyes, but instead of sending her gaze to the ground she sent them up to the clouds while keeping her chin low. It opened her face up to scrutinization and left her with a more outward feeling instead of the closed off position Clayton chose to adopt.

"Of course, sir. Right away. As soon as possible," she said with just a tiny hint of sarcasm that was barely there.

She didn't totally hate Greyson, but she wasn't particularly fond of him either and left her wanting to irriate him, not enough to get her in trouble but just enough to make him sigh when he would see her coming his way.

Greyson narrowed his eyes and frowned. He didn't like how Maria was looking. She merely was being respectful, but she wasn't fearful of him. That was a problem since the slaves here were not held in by walls, but by their fear. "What are you looking up at the sky for?" He said, his voice was hard and angry. "It is not proper, you should be looking down," Greyson contenued. "Like your friend here." He said then he nodded to Clayton. Clayton responded by shuffling a few steps backward. The slave didn't apear to like being talked about, so Greyson tried to add him into the subject just to mess with him. He was also holding them back and allowing the line to the mess hall to get longer and longer. Even though he wasn't speaking to Clayton, the slave wouldn't dare leave without permission.

Maria started in surprise and took a step backwards, falsifying surprise and innocence perfectly.

"But... to look down... how could I? My gaze would fall on your feet! How would that be any better than looking at your eyes? It would be just as disrepsectful - no, it's much more thoughtful to look at the sky. There I can keep you in my peripheral vision and be much more mindful to where and how you move so I might not get in your way, and I also don't have to fear seeing any part of you directly and disrespecting you at all."

Maria brought a hand up to her throat and placed four fingers on it gently, as if trying to show him something.

"In this position, with my eyes upward, my neck is exposed, showing I submit to your dominance, just as the wolves do - when one accepts the other's control, it bares its neck to the other giving them the chance to rip out the throat. It's a sign of submission and trust."

Greyson did not care how logical Maria's answer was, it was the fact that she spoke back to him in that way. The only propper answers she should have given were 'yes sir' or 'yes master'. He raised his hand and slapped her, leaving a light red mark on her cheek.

"You will do as I say and you will not talk back to me in such a manner." He said. "If you contenue to be so disrespectful you will be facing severe punishments."

Clayton was visably shaking now, with a pretty terrorfied look on his face.

"Good," Greyson thought. "Maybe his habits will rub off on her."

Maria cocked her head to the side at him, blinking in fake confusion. "Oh dear, I'm quite turned with bewilderment."

She moved her head to each side, as if looking for help from anyone else to explain what seemed so befuddling to her, then shrugged in a helpless manner, tapped her heels together with her toes pointed outward, and looked down at the ground, following the suit of Clayton minus the cowering. Overall, she looked like a confused black labrador puppy, an image that oddly suited her well as if she'd worn it many, many times before, which wasn't untrue at all.

Greyson looked at Maria with a slight look of satisfation. She would be a problem, but that was why he got a slave from the pound. He wanted to have a slave that didn't follow the rules set for them.

She clearly wasn't full trained, whoever had her before him did not do it very well. Or they just gave up. Greyson didn't feel like he needed to say anything more to the two of them.

He turned away from them and walked away. His course was set to the pups that needed to be set up for full moon. There wasn't much more time to waste.

Clayton did not change his pose until Greyson was quite away from them. Though he was standing straight like he usually did, he still looked uneasy and stiff. He knew that Maria wasn't the normal, rule following slave. But he didn't think that she thought it was okay to talk back to any human, let alone Greyson. She got off pretty light, surely she would face a much worse punishment at a later date.

"Why did you have to do that?" He said. "Why can't you just do what he says? Acting like that is only going to cause more problems."

If she was on the master's list, she would be watched more closely. That would make it harder to excape/

Maria started giggling, covering her mouth with her hand, eyes squinted shut. She waited until Grayson was totally out of view, and then she burst into laughter that sounded like a hundred, beautifully tinkling bells. Her eyes welled up with tears, and she bent over around her stomach, clutching it tightly. Eventually she pulled herself together, wiping the tears away from her eyes.

"Clayton, my dearest, problems are not our problems. You don't need to worry so much," she chuckled, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Really, that was rather humorous. Very, actually."

She started giggling again and pulled her hand away to pull her hair back behind her shoulder.

"Let's get a move on, then!"

Clayton almost flinched when Maria's hand came toward him. He was raised to fear touch and that it always meant pain. He looked quite puzzled by what Maria was saying. "I do not understand." He said. "How is that funny? You just got hit my the master and now I am sure he is watching you now." He moved away from Maria so that her hand was no longer touching him. Any normal person would have been fine with it, but Clayton was far from normal. He followed Maria to the line, watch had grown quite a lot in the short amount of time. He glanced down at his hand were his skin was marked in ink. The numbers were faded from him showering last night. He would have to rewrite it.

Maria looked over at him, a playful smile tugging at her lips. Her eyes sparkled brightly like she was imagining something hilarious she could see in his eyes. Her fingers twirled around in her hair, and she gave a soft, single laugh.

"You're good, my dear, but you have to stretch your thoughts. Think harder and deeper about anything and everything that you see around you - pick it up as a habit. Question whatever anyone does, and you'll start to see the world in a different light. Think like others, love," she said, nodding as if she was agreeing with her own words.

What Maria was saying sounded a lot like gibberish to Clayton. He still had no idea how she thought being hit was funny, did she like pain or something? "Umm okay." Clayton said. He tried to sound like he understood her and would do what she said. But he just sounded confused and unsure. When they got into the line Clayton looked around and noted all the people around him. Clayton suddenly took a step backward and seemed nervous, more nervous than usual at least. In front of them was a rather large man with brown hair. He was Tike, one of the watchers. But luckily he didn't seem interested in them, dispute the negative interaction with their master.

The Pound
Setting

The facility has walls lined with cells, each consisting of three concrete walls, a bare floor, a low ceiling and a wall of clear acryilic which faces the aisle and doubles as a door.

Presently, it's morning and the pound as just opened up for the day.

Plot

The world is such that is condones slavery-- of gifteds, werewolves, vampires and the like. The slave trade is a booming industry, making millionaires within months. Everyone has their own reasons for owning the creatures, some require extra help around the house, others see it as a way to display their wealth, and still others buy them just for the pleasure of breaking them.

As with all things, some people grow tired of their slaves. Now, selling them would take time and energy that some either don't have or are unwilling to waste it on a slave. That is where the 'pound' comes in. They take the discarded slaves, no questions asked and sell them for cheap.

History
The roleplay was made.
Rules

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS PLOT WAS NOT MADE UP BY ME!

This roleplay as copied straight from another roleplay from a website called MaraPets. The person who made this roleplay is called Rainkit. Do not give me credit for this, as I did not think of it.

Also please note that I do not in anyway think that slavery is okay in real life!

You may join as a human, gifted, werewolf or vampire.

Humans are never slaves.

Please keep the number of humans and slaves around even, without both of them the roleplay doesn't work.

Don't make slaves with extreamly dangerous powers, they would have been killed, not sold as slaves.

The point of the roleplay is not to stay in the pound, humans should come in and buy slaves then take them home. It is the person who is controling the human's responsabilty to create a setting. For example a farmhouse, or a big expensive house.

Don't make masters who treat their slave's as equals, its over used and quite frankly, really boring.

You can make a slave who was born into slavery or has never spend a day of their lives as slaves, just make up a good reason why they were never caught.

A quick note on slave breeding. First off don't roleplay anyone doing the deed please!

Second, for werewolves they will give birth to a litter rather than a single child. This is because they cannot change from human to wolf while pregnate or they'll kill their children. Since full moon forces a change, they got to stay as a wolf 100% of the time while pregnate. The litter will be born as pups and will stay as pups until about a month or so until they can shift to their human form.
