Viewing Serina's Farm - Project R.E.V.I.V.E.
Jump to dinosaurs?

A swirl of dust greats you as you wearily step out of a black SUV. The afternoon sun beats down with remorseless rays, merciless as the temperature climbs. A bead of sweat rolls down your forehead as you finally exit the car, peering at a small, grey house to the left. With a jarring bang the door of the SUV slams shut behind you, causing you to jump. Three hours in a car can really fray the nerves... The gentle click of a door opening redirects your attention to the house, and much to your surprise a shock of green hair exists. A man appearing to be in his late twenties approaches you with a warm smile. You can't help but curiously stare at the swirls of neon green in his hair, eyebrows, and even his goatee. You manage to return a reserved smile in the stifling heat, quickly shaking his proffered hand. "Hi! My name is Liam, or Doctor Blackburn if you prefer a more professional title. I'm the head veterinarian at Project R.E.V.I.V.E. You must be...". You can see him struggling with your name, so you quickly mutter it under your breath. "Ah!" He says with a wide grin. "I knew it was something like that. I'm assuming you're scheduled for the private tour?" You curtly nod you head, casually taking notice of the silver flecks in Liam's steel grey eyes. "Good. We haven't been accepting too many guests lately. The Owner insisted on a quiet work environment." Mention of "The Owner" immediately piqued your interest, but Liam was already moving onto the next conversation. "Anyways," he drawled. "I think it's time we get going. If you'll follow me through the house..." Liam turned on his heel and proceeded, a glint winking from a silver stud in his left ear. You and Liam quietly walk through the house, a small sigh of relief escaping you as the air conditioning surrounds you in an icy hug. Unfortunately, it doesn't last long. The house, a small, single level structure with plain cream walls, appeared to be a simple reception center for guests. As the screened porch door approaches, you can't help but notice a large oil painting to your right. It was done with a bird's eye view, far, far into the sky. Hundreds of shades of green crowded together in a dizzying array, some far more vibrant than others. You take notice of how sections are divided by dotted yellow lines, each one bearing a similarly colored number. You politely inquire about the painting, curiosity piqued. Liam turns and gives the painting a quick glance before recognition crosses his face. "Oh that. That's a diagram of the enclosures. I'll be showing them to you individually. We'll be doing quite a bit of walking." Liam opens the screen door for you, but you hardly notice. ALL of them? How many numbers did you see on that painting? Wooden planks creak under your footsteps as you're lead down a few stairs and onto a dirt path below. Looming trees great you as the path extends. A strange silence engulfs the both of you as you move forward. "The first enclosure is pretty close. In fact-" Liam glances up ahead, eyes glinting with excitement. "-it should be past that far turn." You can't help but stare at the far turn in the road with growing interest. Finally, after waiting for so long, you'd be able to see what the world hadn't for millions of years.
