Riley and Charity's G.T. Project

For this six weeks project, Riley and I created a dinosaur adapted to its environment. We created a Spinosaurus (scientifically known as aegyptiacus), which is a carnivorous dinosaur that lived in Africa around 112 million years ago. The dino was about 17ft. tall and was about 50ft long. It weighed almost as much as eight tons. As the largest meat eating dinosaur to have walked the Earth, a spino would have looked down to other giant species, such as the Tyrannosaurus Rex. Spinos had a long, narrow snout, similar to a crocodile, and is known for the large sail on its back. The sail was used for controlling body temperature and displaying for mates. Due to the spinos large jaw, it is thought that it would have been excellent at catching fish and may have lived on a fish-based diet.
