Viewing Marvell's Farm - Prehistoric Park |
---|
As the old tourist jeep chugs up to the fence of Prehistoric Park the sound of electricity fills your ears. Before you are fifty foot brick walls with electrical wires strung between metal prongs at the very top. You crane your neck to look at the very top and wonder why they must be so secure. What type of creatures could they possibly have in there? The owner of the park who is also your guide catches you looking at the wall in amazement and she smiles. "Just for safety," she murmurs, her green eyes watching your every movement. "We haven't had any sort of escape but we also have to take precautions." A slight breeze tussles her mousy brown hair as she pushes a button on a small remote she carries in her hand. A squeal erupts from the iron gates and they slowly begin to swing open. The jeep passes under the large arch that says "Prehistoric Park" in bold letters. The jeep comes to an abrupt stop before a large map of the park that seems to go on forever. "As you can see the park is rather large," your guide speaks. "If you ever get lost maps are right around every corner. Before you exit I would like to explain what we strive for. At the moment the park is breeding five species of herbivores and five species of carnivores, though we plan to acquire more of both rather soon. Our stars are our Acrocanthosaurus's. Without them this park would never have been able to open. Whether you're here for breeding purposes, buying stock, ordering chicks, or bidding on herbivores, this park is sure to amaze." |
