Salamander's last name was changed from Fenrir to Valor on 12/18/24. After Zombie, who is 99 days old and the current heir to Kepo, had a meeting about changing their last name to reflect who they truly were, which were valiant, courageous, and compassionate dinos, it was agreed upon. It felt like it would honor the legacy that Kepo truly stood for and what he saw for the group.

After that, Zombie announces that it is time to pick a new heir. At first, he goes for his daughter, Mimi, but when she rejects, Zombie settles on the 7 day old Kiki, his granddaughter. Mimi, at first, protests, but eventually gives with one condition. That someone else become the temporary heir and mentors Kiki until she is old enough to become the true heir, which won't be until she is, at least, 30 days old. Salamander steps up and becomes the temporary heir and mentor to Kiki. Even though he may not be the true heir, he vows to do an amazing job as one and train Kiki in everything he knows.

Once that was over, he spends his final moments with his oldest brother feeling the weight of his soon to be passing, but is happy that Zombie trusts and loves him.
